I am sorry to say Food is very poor quality no taste at all I have ordered Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji.I couldn’t eat just waste of money.

The price is high but apart from it everything was so good 👍

I ordered an unlimited Thali.. It was very bad.. They had too oily paneer and bhindi curry.. the base curry was exactly same so no difference in taste. The Dal makhani in thali was bland and no butter or authentic taste. Even if when I pointed this to the serving team , they didn’t offer to change curry. No value for money for the price. You get far better thali with good taste. First and last visit. Also the management team and waiters need bit of training on professional and great customer service. PS- If you eat Thali, all the waiters and service staff ( who are making chat and stuff) will be having their eagle eyes on you. Quite creepy look.

We ordered unlimited plates for 4 person but food is not fresh. Staff was rude even we ask for some items and they straight away denied. Waste of money.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had mixed feelings about my experience. The food was quite good—flavorful and well-prepared, which is always a plus. However, the service left much to be desired. Despite having six staff members, including the owner, standing near our table, the service was disappointingly slow. They were staring at customers and Making it uncomfortable for all. Also It took an unusually long time for our food to arrive, and there were several items on the menu that were unavailable. While the charges were professional, the overall behavior of the staff felt unprofessional and inattentive. I hope they can improve their service, as the food has great potential.

Oct 2024 update: They have some new serving staff. Unfortunatly they aren't naturally attentive people and they don't appear to have had any training either. So be prepared for a bumpy ride. For example, there were three of us but they only gave us one menu. I had to ask for more menus multiple times before we got one each. They served bottled water but no glasses. This is a restaurant. Not McDonalds. I expect to be given glasses with my drinks at a restaurant. Again I had to ask multiple times before we got any glasses. Oh and I asked for a mixed salad with less onions as they have a habit of serving up half a large onion sliced up on a small plate of salad. How disappointed I was when the plate turned up with yep, half a large reg onion sliced up on a tiny plate of salad. It's things like this that really grate especially when there's a default 12.5% Service Charge added to the bill. If I get good service, I really don't mind leaving a generous tip. But with crappy service like this, I feel a tip is not deserved. And I shouldn't be forced to pay one. This takes away from an otherwise good meal as the food is usually great - especially if you ask for it to be made mild as they largely seem to get that bit right. Old review: Still mourning the loss of Jashan down the road, we thought we'd give this place a try. Initial impressions were positive on walking in. Some of the staff were smiling. I like happy people. They were also polite and efficient. Another big plus. Another positive were the explicitly mentioned healthier options on the menu. Although in practice the chickpea salad chaat I had as a starter still had some fried very fine sev on it, but excusable as I'd been for a run in the morning. I was initially a bit disappointed with the rajmah (kidney bean curry) as I found it too spicy. My wife thought the salt content was a bit on the high side too. So I ordered a mixed salad to go on the side. This instantly tamed the spiciness and made the meal infinitely more enjoyable. Be aware, the chapatis are very thin (as they should be) so go cold and hard quite quickly. Not a problem if you wolf them down swiftly. I also tried a bit of the hakka noodles my wife and daughter had ordered, and these were very nice. Good flavours and not strongly spiced. The staff were attentive and swiftly entertained additional requests. All in all an enjoyable treat. We'll definitely be back. Oh, it can be a bit cold near the door, so request a table further in during the cold winter months. Further observations after another visit more recently: The music's always a bit on the loud side. I liked the masala dosa (pictured) and mogo chips.

There is variety of opionts available but the taste is missing

The vibes and staff is great.. but a huge disappointment for food. They really need to check with the cooking team. The creamy pasta was just tasteless and felt like we are having thick cheese soup with no salt and no flavors. Masala cheesy chips clearly said to be cooked in tamato sauce but was probably sweeming in oil with no tamato taste.. was more like an oily dry patato curry, the garlic naan had more raw garlic than naan itself.. it was too intense that whole naan lost the real taste and was bitter due to heavy amount of garlic. Manchurian Noodles was very nice but again extremely oily.. this used to be a great place but wouldn't ever try again honestly. And the bill was £67 for these 4 waste dishes. Your customers are happily spending then please check what you are serving.

Take action againts Mr Hiten I recently ordered Kaju Matar Masala from your restaurant and was very disappointed with the quality. The peas in the curry were not cooked properly, making the dish unpleasant to eat. When I brought this issue to the attention of the manager, Mr. Hiten, his response was extremely unprofessional. He was rude and dismissive, showing attitude and no interest in addressing my concerns. Instead, he seemed more focused on closing the shop quickly. I request the owner to take appropriate action against Mr. Hiten for his unprofessional behavior. Customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and such conduct is unacceptable. Thank you.

I visit today this restaurant we ask to staff member for suggestion main course and they provide wrong information which is they don't have in menu also main problem is manager behavior is very very rude he and staff didn't accept his fault. All the time making different story. Overall they didn't respect to customer.

My mother-in-law and I tried to come to this branch in Ealing Road for a tea and a snack, as we have come many times previously, but were treated appallingly by the staff here. I am on crutches and a big boot, while my mum-in-law is elderly. We were simply looking for somewhere to sit down and have something hot as the weather was terrible. Initially we came at 11.15 and were told by a staff member to return at 11.30 when they opened, which we did. We opened the unlocked door and the woman tried to wave us away, telling us to leave again, very dismissively, as they were not open still. After doing our errands and before the drive home, we were exhausted, with no other restaurant open, pouring with rain outside and nowhere else to sit. So against our better judgement, we asked just to sit down right at the front of the shop to wait till they were ready. Even then, the woman tried to discourage us, saying the floor was wet but eventually, grudgingly said that we could sit at the table by the door right at the front, which we did. We waited patiently for 15 mins. At 11.45 a small group entered and they were ushered in. We carried on waiting until someone came to take the chairs off the tables in the area we were sitting in. Then my mum-in-law rightly asked if they’re open now. The woman said, “Of course.” My mum-in-law asked why someone hadn’t asked us to come in when we’d already been waiting for such a long time. Surely that was basic courtesy! Then a man, who we later found out was the manager, named Hiten, asked the staff member what was going on. He didn’t bother to ask or speak to us to find out from our viewpoint, which is what a manager with basic training should have done, but started raising his voice at us, intensively rude and combative from the outset. He said they’d had a party last night so they ‘only open when they’re ready’. He said the chefs ‘were only human’! When we tried to explain what had happened he refused to listen, cutting us off when we tried to speak and constantly argued. When we could get a word in edgeways, I tried to say that both his colleague that morning itself, as well as the website said they would be open from 11.30. But it was clear that they had no intention of opening at the time stated and was having a go at us for questioning why they should not. The man and his staff were highly unprofessional, having no idea how to talk to customers and certainly had no concept about customer service. I doubt he has ever heard of the term. In fact, we are convinced he was talking down to us as we are women who had dared to question him. Despite all the shouting from his end, he had no sensible or reasonable reason for not opening on time, especially as his staff told us they would open at 11.30. There was also no reason why he, nor his staff couldn’t have treated us compassionately. We were fed up with how we were being treated and so asked the man who we can complain to and what the complaints procedure was. He folded his arms, said he was the manager and there was no one above him. Even as we got up to leave, he was shouting at us. I said I didn’t want him to speak to us anymore and we left. I am Gujarati, my mum-in-law South Indian, both of us from Mumbai. As part of our culture, we never treat people with such disdain and disrespect. We were shocked and still are. We will not come back here again and would suggest to our friends not to do so.

Very bad service that i had in restaurant, very rude staff over there and they offer food to customer which they do not make it in kitchen and not mentioned in a menu. They does not have care about customer and they did not listen even they are in a fault and also they tell to customer to give order early because of closing time so why they open the door to welcoming customer as they know the time of closing. My all conversation had with manager i don't know the name but he is very rude.

Good food, the spice level is very mild suitable to local english people. Spicy food lovers might be disappointed. It is very pricey given it is in Wenbley where there are many cheaper options of same menu items. Can try once!

In thali stuffed brinjal sabji was their its was smell was very dirty taste like day b4 yesterday they cooked gave us. N cabbage sambhara also taste same. Another highly hyped restaurant. Had taken home kadhai paneer, sag daal, rice and we had masala corn and tea at the restaurant. Except for tea and masala corn rest of the things we're pathetic. Total waste of money

Overpriced, below par food, lacklustre service and underwhelming. Our chole was half cooked and our feedback was largely ignored. Upon second complaint, staff running around like headless chickens. And to top it all, expensive and 12.5% service charge for paying the bill at the counter!! Someone needs to get a grip of this place. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere. Disappointed!!

Not great food. In wembley you can find much better options and the service was slow as well. I used to come few years and the standard was different and better but now it’s a disappointment for the price you pay.

Had a very bad experience in this so called Mumbai local, with wasting my time I type this review to know the owner or the founder of this Mumbai local, I just visited this place with my vedio camera onn so that I can send this vedio to my family to come and visit this place, after I entered the restaurant where I even closed my phone camera , and was looking around what kind of kitchen they have , so there was some guest having their food on table and just after that there was a table with some staff resting peacefully and having there tea with unprofessional manner, one of them stood up and said you can't record inside where I even told him I am not recording any of your activities and neither i was intrusted to have your restaurant design.. He was so rude on talking to me.. such a shame of having such staff on board, Spoil my entire visit and my morning Then I was told the person who spoke to me is the manager, it was a joke 🤣 to see The manager talking in hush and rude behaviour with the guest, Any one who visit this place please be aware of this service staff behaviour they gonna ruin your day.. Everthing was good, apart from kadhai paneer

Recently ordered pav bhaji and dosa from uber eats The dosa came separate and the filling came separates , i had to eat like a roti with potato sabji And if i want to prepare my self then i wouldn’t order ready meal better i would cook at home. The pav bhaji has no test at all it’s look like a tomato curry with red colour, Additionally they didn’t send any spoons or tissue I would never prefer some one to order this kind of food on line from mumbai local you will regret.

We always looked forward to eat at Mumbai Local but sadly the food taste was horrible. Shev puri and Papdi Chat was so sour. Yesterday was my last visit .

Worst experience. We ordered pani poori and papdi chaat. Tasted horrible . Ordered cheese pau bhaji which came without the cheese melted. It took them ages to serve extra pau. We ordered misal pau which was served in a broken bowl . When we mentioned this the waitress merely chose to pour the e misal into a different bowl . She couldn’t be bothered and didn’t think that what if pieces of the broken ceramic bowl could be there. The waitresses there appeared to do catwalk and had no interest in serving or what the customers wanted to share as feedback. WILL NEVER VISIST THIS RESTAIRANT. Worst place . Given a choice would want to leave even a single star

Horrible customer service. The service is non existent. I dropped a full glass of lassi (by mistake of course) - they refused to replace it & charged me for it. No customer service skills what so ever. Arguing on top of that. Never will we go back again, any other restaurant (even street vendor) would replace the drink out of common courtesy & decency. On top of the lassi fiasco, the tomato chutney was completely gone off. When we brought this to waitresses attention, she denied & said that’s how it is. (We all know what gone off food tastes like). Worst experience of my life is a big statement.

Awful attitude by member of staff. Told him that we ordered dry Veg Manchurian, and we received a lot of gravey... apparently, that's our dry manchurian he said. Also, we told him that the crispy bhajya was very salty, and he said that he had not received any complaints today around them being salty. It seems like they make them from the morning and fry as when needed. It also could be the chutney, but he did not get back to us... very poor service! Also, there were too many flies around the restaurant and did not feel pleasant.

Idlis served from plastic box, barely heated up in the microwave and they claim that is how it is served. Absolutely awful.

Great place for spicy Mumbai Chats & Indian food. It's a compact seating area . I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for a decade.

Ordered a masala chips from Mumbai local Wembley and when serving myself I could see a massive puddle of oil. I complained to the manager, Hiten, who thought it was normal and retaliated and said “chips are fried in oil of course there will be oil. What do you what them to be fried in then?” And refused to accept their mistake of overly using the oil or offer to make a new one. Poor poor service and hospitality. Worst Mumbai Mumbai local from the chain.

We went to bombay local to celebrate my wife birthday with my family we booked in advance we were fitted and than we had to get up and find awaiter to take our order the busy talking to each other the see to customer after our starter were finished we ordered our main it took our half an hour to arrive and was not hot we were hungry so did not complain never again we travelled from enfield with high expectations so rubbish service

Tried chole bhature, Bhature was rather naan, and chole wasn’t cooked perfectly, Pav bhaji was good and sandwich was somewhat good, ordered a sweet lassi, which was rather more like a diluted sri khand and Chilli cheese dosa was not upto the mark either

Visited 4th May with high hopes. DO NOT TRY their Chhole Bhature, you will regret it. DO NOT TRY their Idli, you will regret it. We visited based on good reviews from a friend but the experience we had was miserable in terms of food quality. The place has a lot to catch-up and doesnt live up to the expectations for sure. Chhole was extremely dry with no gravy at all, on inquiry the staff said this is how it is here. Bhature was very dry, so was the Idli. I wonder how the place meets the huygiene ratings as we had some fly floating in the drinking water supplied.

We were waiting outside and we gave the server are name and he didn't even write it down and he blamed us that we left when the whole time he was looking out the window .

5th of May 2024 18:30 Restaurant was very busy so there was waiting outside, I had told the waiter my name and table for 4 which he wrote down on his notepad then waited patiently outside for 45 minutes then we found he is letting other people in who arrived afters us upon confronting the waiter he tells me you had left then came back which we were outside the restaurant waiting the whole time please check your CCTV and if we had left then came back what does it matter our name is on the list if the table is ready you came out looking for us and found we were not there then you can say you had left then came back. How DUMB can you get he even gave me a menu to look at while we were waiting outside, at the end he didn't wanted to resolved the issue instead he kept arguing so we left in frustration. Went to Gujju dhaba express amazing customer service great food value for money big portions.

We visited here first time and ordered their chef special pav bhaji and chole bhature along with few other items on their menu.The food was horrible, no taste and unhygenic . I would not rate even 1 star for the quality of the food. The ladies toilet was in such a miserable condition that one cant even step in. Never visiting this place again

Food is average. More better restaurants in the area. Expensive for what you get. Service is not great having to call the staff every often and hiding behind the kitchen on phones. I asked for the leftovers for takeaway and the lady packing it did not pack my rice. Wasted money. Wont be going there again. Your better of going to the buffet at Sakonis next door.

Food was good in reasonable prize. I hv tried samosa many times as it is always freshly made. Vada pav also taste good with all the spicy level like we have back in India. Misal pav and pav bhaji are not similar like Mumbai style. Recently I hv tried puranpoli and it was as expected.

I went in with my family for dinner and had ordered dishes for a bill total of £37. It’s a shame the portions were extremely small but the price of dishes were too high. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice eat out with family as their service was terrible. Understaffed and the staff don’t respond to even basic queries. The place was packed but the food taste was not great. I loved their Pani pooris and presentation is good. Taste wise I felt the dishes were ok or not great or worth the cost.

Mumbai bloatal We went here for a Sunday lunch to satisfy chaat cravings. Food was tasty, service was very slow. We had sabudana vada (inconsistent cooking), mirchi bhaji(good), channa samosa (OK), methi thepla (soooo good) and chhole bhature(OK) between 4 of us. The only problem is that it is now Tuesday and we are still bloated. We have not had such a reaction to Street food even in Mumbai. Will not go back soon.

The food was excellent. Many people go to the Saravana Bhawan but there is no comparison. This place had hands down a much better dosa and the seating was all spacious. The prices were also very reasonable.

Had lunch there food is well over priced took food home is well and also parath also 5 pound is size of puri drinks are 6 pounds each .. will not be visiting again.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Mumbai Local. I placed an order for Jain food and drove for two hours to pick it up, only to receive non-Jain food. This blatant disregard for my dietary preferences is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction. Not only was I inconvenienced by the inaccurate order, but I also felt disrespected as a customer. The fact that my specific dietary requirements were ignored is simply unacceptable. As a loyal customer, I expect better service and attention to detail. I urge the management to take immediate action to rectify this issue and ensure that such mistakes do not occur in the future. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Really nice food…loved pani puri…loads of variety to choose from…very fast service and people are very friendly…definitely if you are in Wembley do visit the place for amazing food and every penny spent is worth the taste you get here…lastly do have their tea really nice and i loved it

If there was a zero stars option iwould have given it.My son ordered a curry for first time tonight as not been in London before.Checked reviews thought he was set for a great meal with his friend. Not only is he still starving after they cudnt find the student flat.Waited about 80 mins then returned with said curry cold and all spilt at bottom of the bag. I called the restaurant on his behalf as i had paid for it for a treat and requested a replacement they just said driver not there now call uber eats and complain. Not a good service.Never got to try the food and no sign of money back yet it takes a few days apparently. NOT good when you have no money as a student don't trust the food as all over the bag didn't want to try rescue it as unhygienic. Have taken pictures to show state of food but unfortunately can't show here as no option. Very 🙁

The heater/air con was totally covered by small tiny insects flying as low as the table. Chole bhat Ute are normally white chole but was served brown chana . Gravy was runny nothing like real chole bhat Ute. Never again…

We ordered Veg Bahar and Paneer in main course and paneer chilli in starters and without a doubt, Bahar was a winner. If you love spicy food then it’s a must try dish. Overall it was very crowded place and would definitely recommend it.

Over priced tasteless restaurant that is no way near street food taste. Chaotic queuing to get a seat. We had Pani Puri, it was Puri with boiled potato mush and Pani was tasteless like water you get in your local grocery store. Bhel had no proper chutney where you get bursts of sweet, tangi and spicy flavours, it just tasted bland. Ragda patice suppose to be a chat but all I could taste was hot pea soup. Crispy bhajia were decent but the portion was small for the price as we are just talking about fried potatoes. Dry Manchurian was ok but again not really dry. With drinks for two, all in all we ended up spending £67 between 3 of us. Street food is eaten for its taste & pleasure sadly this place left much to be desired at the price point! As a street food place this place or this branch does not tick any boxes.

Came here for a dinner with a friend who lives nearby. She mentioned they have another branch in Harrow but this one is better for me to get to so we gave it a go on a Thursday night. It's basically empty with just a few tables filled as understandably it's quite a cold week day evening. I went with the aubergine curry and specifically asked them to make it spicy as I love me some spices. Also ordered a garlic and chilli naan on the side. Just gonna be honest and say the food was really not great at all - naan was extremely salty and no taste of chilli at all, and the curry wasn't even spicy after making my request. The one good thing is the value for money, portions were big and prices were low. On average it only cost about £15 per person. Atmosphere was rather noisy with loud background music. Service was good, the waitress seemed friendly and made sure to double check our orders so nothing would go wrong. Not sure if I will come back at all.

Food was good. However, service was absolutely horrible. The lady that served us (woman at the front) initially got our order wrong (bear in mind she did not write it down) and gaslighted us into saying that we did order it. She gave us rude stares throughout and at the end stormed off. Never have received service like this before. Do not recommend which is a shame because the food was nice.

Ordered bajra roti thrice on Deliveroo and on two occasions they didn't add the garlic sauce and jaggery as stated on the menu..pani puri is excellent except that sometimes their coriander water can be too spicy for the palate. I am a regular and I anticipate they realise how they miss sending the full bajra roti item
