If believe the staff get £10 pounds an hour, that’s £80 a day for an 8 hour shift they should at least be able to clear the tables when people have finished their meals.

We recieved the Weatherspoons experience we set out for.

Bar staff brilliant door staff well not a lot to be said.

It's a decent sized wether spoons. No better or worse than any other. It's a shame the beer garden isn't bigger. But that's life. Please fix the table numbers outside. They’re in no order, and half the tables have numbers ripped off, so at best you have to guess. This is still an issue. 211 is to the left. 214 is the to the right. Ordered to 212 which is the other side. How am I to know?

Food was decent and cheap, staff were friendly and helpful

We're regulars to this place, and it rarely disappoints. Good, reasonably priced beers and food in a great atmosphere.

Conveniently located close to the train station. Not my favourite spoons in Greater Manchester or Cheshire. Service was hit and miss and food was okay. In fairness, the ales were in very good condition.

Saturday 30th March 2024 Today, we visited this large, 1 roomed spacious WEATHERSPOONS This place was extremely well looked after inside It has a beer garden at its rear, and the locals were a polite, well-behaved clientelle . The staff were also polite and well organised, which all added to the reason of being given 5 stars. The main thing is this Weatherspoons has got one of the best range of guest hand pumped ales on I've seen for a long time Saturday 8th June 2024 I visited these great, well run weatherspoons with great locals and barstaff again today. This pub has a great range of guest real ales on offer always, which is the main reason I use weatherspoons😁😁

They won’t sell beer to Germans 🇩🇪 which is a big loss for their business.

Thought we'd give it another try. Unfortunately the food has gone worse. 3 steaks ordered. Absolutely horrible. All fat and gristle. What meat was on it was that raw it was not edible it was supposed to be well done. Really won't be visiting again. Just not good quality food 😕

Ahh the local for the too ill to drill mob aka on the motability fiddle,not worked since 1983.wipe feet on way out and don't forget smart dress is not allowed but a jd sports tracksuit and 200 quid trainers are compulsory

We eventually found a table that we liked, it was full of used plates and drink glasses, the table top was filthy as were a lot of tables nearby. ALL the chairs were filthy with dust, the mirrors and pics were all filthy and Like the chairs had not been dusted for weeks if not months. My lady had a glass of wine in a filthy glass, my Guinness was okay! My steak and chips arrived on a side plate , the chips were terrible, the steak was just passable, my lady was happy with her chicken curry. We will go in again but if it has not been cleaned will walk straight out.

For a Spoons pub, it's OK! Seating better than most, doesn't have that look of poor man's cafe, but chose your visiting times. Really busy from Friday afternoon to Sunday night any other time, it's pretty reasonable you'll get a seat.

Definitely one of the less grubby spoons I've visited. Think the place has been recently reupholstered. The crowd seem like a nice bunch. Food and drink is as you'd expect. I can't figure out how they can do a decent meal and a pint of really nice craft beer for under £10.

It's a Weatherspoons and therefore exactly what you would expect. There was a pub quiz on the night that we went but we weren't involved.

Typical Spoons offering with good choice of real ales and fast friendly service at the bar. It gets quite busy so the background noise level is quite high if you have hearing issues.

My group comes here all the time, with little to no problems at all except last night when we were randomly accused of smelling like weed (we absolutely did not as none of us had anything nor had we smoked) and even the bouncer, and another employee agreed that we didn't smell at all. Ridiculous and terrible service from the manager that day. Despite how stupid this was we co-operated and left. Ruined the entire night and soured the place for me.

Standard ‘Spoons’ but clean and tidy with some nice ale on tap. Cask Marque certificate available to scan. Happy enough with it.

This is still one of the worst Wetherspoons i have visited and on business travelling with our engineers country wide i have visited many. Tables are often left piled with dirty plates and glasses. Should anyone bother to clear them the tables are rarely wiped unless you ask meaning they have ketchup, mayo and sticky drink marks all over them. I have started taking my own anti bacterial wipes and if you wipe the table you would be amazed how dirty they are when you look at the used wipes. This place is where myself and friends all caught Covid on a night out there last year. Positive is that the staff are the best they have had in there for years. Very friendly and efficient it just needs to sort out these issues. Quiz on a Wednesday is awful. Its SO LOUD and when it finishes he then insists on playing music loud after it. TV's have sound turned to zero every night and no music playing yet the quiz could be done from your front room 2 miles away! Also people come in doing the quiz for a warm and buy one drink all night paying a pound to do the quiz. No way that quiz increases bar takings. When there was a steak night or curry night on people used to come in and eat and drink. All the proper drinkers and spenders have stopped going in on a Wednesday or huddle as far away from the quiz as they can get to eat and drink. A review is needed by Wetherspoons area manager on this situation. Its a shame but all this needs a total shake up.

Traditional style, the Wetherspoons formula, good variety of beer on tap, rear outside seating, decent decor and clean.

Heard a lot about Wetherspoons!! Happened to chance on The Wilfred Wood whilst passing through! Wonderful! Great choice of food and drinks and service from all the exceptional young staff, namely Bill! Won’t hesitate to call on a Wetherspoons in future.

The door leading out to the smoking area at the back was a bit distracting! Kept banging loudly spoiling my experience. Still enjoyed my meal and drink though

I had the lemon and herb half chicken, and I have to say I think it was the best meal I have ever had here, and we have been going for about 15 years. Very juicy chicken very quick service, very happy customers

We went out on Friday for a meal and waiting time was way longer compare to other days however when the food arrived it was just too much... My partner didn't get curry sauce he ordered and mushrooms on his pizza were missing too. By the time they brought pizza he already finished his food and my onion rings were burned and burger was dry. I don't think I ever had a such a bad meal in weatherspoons and we have been going weekly for ages so we sort of were surprised how bad it was..😂

We visit this branch most Wednesdays when the quiz takes place. We sometimes eat and the food is reasonable. A good stop off if in the area.

Pleasant Wetherspoons pub on main road in Hazel Grove named for Stockport's Victoria Cross winning soldier. Good food delivered promptly with good selection of beers. Pleasant helpful staff. Fairly quiet this Monday lunchtime maybe due to lack of significant nearby parking.

Popped in with my lad for drink n pizza. Quick service of drinks by lady with curly hair. Who also brought our food out. Very chatty made us feel relaxed.

Much like Mcdonalds, you know what to expect with a Wetherspoons pub and that's what you get with this one.

Cheap and cheerful food. You can't do better than the mixed grill for the price. Beer choice isn't as good as some wetherspoons but food makes up for it

Went today fast breakfast and as much coffee you want overall £7.55 is very good go elsewhere up the A6 expect to pay more

Great place, lots of different areas to sit, lovely food at a great price, great outdoor seating at the back, very friendly welcoming staff. Went there for a drink in the weekend and it was packed. Really appreciate the service as it was way faster than I was thinking. We will have to pay as you buy which is a great way as we don't want to worry about the bills and tips. Food is amazing I ordered a cooked chicken which as very juicer and well cooked and tasty. We have ordered a couple of drinks which was in a reasonable price. Loved the place and atmosphere definitely suggested to everyone want to have a good time. Only problem I think was with the parking, they don't have any parking as we have to find places in the nearby streets, which isn't so nice, but it's ok as it sits on the main road.

Food was excellent as per wheterspooons standards. Atmosphere was really calm, great place for a date or celebrate special occasion. History was also felt in the atmosphere.

Nice place, but the tables are not that clean. I think they don't clean the table right away after customers leave. Staff are good.

Decent Food & ALE at a decent price , Always busy

I was visiting the hazel grove area on a trip to manchester and stumbled across this amazing pub and Dani behind the bar greeted me with upmost politement. She suggested the bestest of ales that they had to offer and honestly it just quenched my thirst immediately. A perfect pint poured by perfect staff, and a beautiful pub also! Well worth a visit and if you are in the area!

Our regular monthly venue for talking rubbish & the odd pint of Guinness etc. All staff including the security chaps, all a pleasure to deal with. Late night snacks, also just the job prior to heading home. Fully recommended by all in our social group. 👍

We visited on Monday for lunch as we do every week and when we went to order our usual toasties we were told that there was no bread !! We therefore ordered 2 jacket potatoes and coffee instead When the potatoes eventually arrived (25 minutes) they were cold on the outside so we sent them back. We waited a further 20 minutes and they had still not arrived ! I therefore went to the bar to request a refund as we had waited over an HOUR for 2 jackets ! The staff were extremely rude and after some discussion finally refunded for the jacket potatoes but insisted on charging for 2 coffees. This was totally unreasonable given the amount of time we had waited for our lunch and the gentleman in question was not happy and had no customer service skills We have visited here every week for many years but won’t be coming back

It's a weatherspoons so no surprises,it's a chain if you have been in one you have been in them all.bad thing was 3 cubicles in the men's all had no toilet paper.

I am actually in the pub at the moment. Ordered a traditional breakfast. When mine came it was cold. I asked for it to be warmed up. The waitress (not the most cheerful of people) took my plate. When she brought it back she literally dumped it on the table. No 'sorry', smile or any acknowledgement. Would and do expect more at a Wetherspoons.

This venue appeared to be very quiet when I visited, however I was welcomed by the staff and received a great service

Poor service tables unclean. Called in for a meal mid afternoon 2/1/2023 found a table booth near the window at the back that was available there was still used plates/coffee mugs still on the table hoping that the staff would clear it at some point. Order the meal at the bar returned to the table food arrived and still no one took the used plates/coffee mugs away It wasn’t really busy with customers. This place has really lost its way and value of its customers.
