I recently visited this cosy pub and found that it was serving wonderful homemade pizzas which were really tasty made in a propper pizza oven and to order, by a new start up which is back today for the rugby, (9/923) you can really taste the difference! Cost is very good for the quality. wishing both ventures to do really well. Darts are played every Thursday and other events are going to start up so there will be something for everyone on a different day of the week so I've been told, please keep a look out on social media for Times and days. The pub has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and approachable. Please continue to support this pub and let it continue to go from strength to strength.

Surprised to find the High St only had one pub so we used it. Very tastefully renovated and comfortable for 2 adults and 3 kids 6 and under. The wide games choice kept the littlies amused. Enjoyed whitebait, plaice goujons, breaded garlic mushrooms with chips, and sossies for the kids. Excellent Morland bitter plus soft drinks. Only one choice, but a very good one. Lovely visit :-)

Edit. It would appear the smell was coming from a customer so have upgraded my review. Seems like a nice pub, a bit small. The abbot ale was nice. Original review: Nice beer, but the pub smells of wet dog and bleach

One star given for the chef and another for the tasty fish and flavour of the dish. Three taken away for staff’s rudeness and attitude when I gave feedback about changes made to the stated ingredients of the meal, without checking whether I was ok with the changes or not. The whole thing was exacerbated by regulars (?) who joined in the conversation and started slagging me. A pity, as I’m local and would have gone back.

Met up here with an old friend today as it is half way between our two locations. 3 adults and two children, one four and the other one and a half. Town centre pub. Found via internet search. Parking spaces are limited directly outside however cheap car park just down the road so not a problem. Pub has a warm cosy feel with lots of locals, unfortunately couldn't try the beer as I was driving. Sky news and sports. Toilets clean. Friendly and helpful staff. For lunch we ordered two sandwiches and a caesar salad with chicken plus kids sausages with mash and peas as well as chicken gougons chips and peas. The food was very nice, the menu had lots of choice, Lavazza coffees served after

We went to the Whiteleaf Cross for Christmas Lunch, Wow what a fabulous meal, the new owners have only been in charge for a few months, we ourselves have only just moved to Princes Risborough & was looking for a quiet Christmas Day this year. Mark & Lotty put on a tremendous day, whether you were there for a quick pre lunch drink or staying on to have there Christmas lunch. Extremely good value for money, we are booking for next year & will bring the whole family. Many thanks, great day, Tony & Patricia.

Visited last Sunday to grab a bite to eat. On arrival I was made to feel very welcome by the staff. Ordered a Roast Beef, it very well presented, tasted wonderful and it was a good sized portion. The menu for the week is well varied and then Roast’s and tapas style food on Sundays. They also have a wide range of Beers, Ciders and Real Ale on tap, bottled Beers and Ciders along with a huge range of spirits. As an added bonus they had the F1 on over 3 TV’s.

Came in for lunch and thought it would be a great shout, on entry thought ok few locals and friendly bartenders, ordered food and promptly popped to the rear as the weather was lovely . Sitting outside can always be a challenge as if people smoking but it was away enough to be ok . Food came out promptly and then it all fell down, Food was Burnt and the chips where not far of black , oil mustn’t have been changed, raw in the middle so because it looks cooked doesn’t mean it is . Next the cook came out as ruff as a Badgers Rear , voice bellowed because cold or just gravely and plonked herself nearly on my lap! Sparked up a Fag as she called it and proceeded to chat about how F, ing got it was and puffing all over my food. My partner refused to eat anymore and so we just got up and left. Wasn’t going to get into a complaint at the bar as the guy was holding my card in a glass for the hole world to see and wasn’t behind the bar as stepped out for the loo.he did come back and washed his hands so at least he was on the ball, he asked me if my stay was ok..... I just pretended he was joking ... Such a shame as it could have been a good visit but there we go .

This is a delightful and unpretentious pub with good food and friendly, efficient service. We came across it for Sunday lunch (either a roast or a good choice of tapas) as our original choice was not doing food. The draught beer was fine- all good value and I would go again. There is a beer garden. The only slight grumble is that the gents' loo was cramped and lacked soap.

Nice as ever the bar staff were, all accommodating, smiley, friendly warm atmosphere, had the burger which was a fair portion size too! Nice touch to have separate little dishes for salt and pepper to add as you like, good range of drinks too. One more star if they had a pool table but the space isn't so accommodating so only point to improve would be more grazing food options/drinks deals to match competitors.

My friends and I had a drink in the pub before going across the road to the Indian this evening. Upon leaving one of my friends tripped over a broken step and fell down in front of everyone. Her husband went back in and said a few words to the staff who were not that bothered, it seemed. I heard one of the people in the bar say, 'You're ruining our evening'. What a cheek. A woman in her 60s had fallen in their pub and hurt herself and they couldn't care less. What kind of pub is that? Any other place would bend over backwards to help in that situation but after tonight I certainly won't be going back there. The licensees should be ashamed of themselves. It looks like further action will be taken over this.

Thank goodness Risborough has somewhere decent to eat at last. Saying that, lunch at The Whiteleaf yesterday was far better than decent. I go in here every few weeks and invariably have a great night out. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Just a shame that the Guinness isn't that good. It tends to be too bitter and lacks the creaminess of a great pint of Guinness. Mind you, not many pubs seem to be able to serve a decent Guinness these days.................

If you are looking for casual, tasty, affordable american style food then I would highly recommend here. The build your own burgers were toasted to perfection, the chicken was cooked and marinated well. The falafel and spinach burger was tasty and the slab of brie was much appreciated! Big bowl of crispy salad and perfect curly fries. Washed down with a well chosen larger we had never tried before. Really friendly and attentive bar man. Also really good value! My only constructive feedback would be that the decor needs some tlc and a more creative, modern freshen up.

Been here a few times, always enjoy the 2-for-1 cocktails so a good place to go with friends or on a date. Lots of TV screens everywhere so if you're into sports you're guaranteed a good view of a screen. Personally I'm a sports person but there's nice quiet evenings there where it's peaceful with sports on in the background but quiet enough you can still hear your friends talking. I had a beef burger and it was yammy
