I have a food allergy that’s not in the tablet they use the manager Claire came over talked me through the menu went and checked herself the ingredients In the food anything she wasn’t sure of she brought out for me to check and decide after taking off what I couldn’t have it matched with another burger that was cheaper than what I had picked definitely going to go back again

A good experience all round really.the place looks really good after the refurbishment now,I like the decor alot ,and it's got this laid back cosy feel about it .the staff are all keen polite an friendly, we had the Gammon egg chips for 2 and it was a good feed . A couple of drinks for 40 quid bosh 🙂.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much for them. Emma especially looked after us. We were a big table of 15 and they made us and the kids feel so well looked after

Big bar and food area, big menu with plenty of choices. Great selection of ales and beers with a good pint of guinness on tap too. Plenty of parking onsite.

Great pub with great food. We always eat here and food is always amazing. The team really do look after everyone.

Had the most fantastic meals ever. Couldn't fault anything & Emma went the extra mile. She was so helpful when we said we had never been before. The meals she advised were perfect & generous proportions so to the desserts. Will certainly go again.

Visited with my family for food and drinks. We were looked after really well by the team and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed from the start and even had time to have a good chat. Food tasted amazing. Missed the last singer you had on but really looking forward to the next one you have coming up so night to finally have entertainment.

Food was amazing. Giving two stars because the service was not great at the beginning. I was with my family and two dogs. We been told the dogs are allowed only in the bar area but on the website doesn’t say something like that but that’s ok. we sat near the bar where we thought is the bar area as we were 4 people and 2 dogs. Ten minutes later one of the ladies at the bar come to our table with a paper and said this is booked in 10 min. I worked as a chef for a long time and to bring the paper that says booked in front of the customer that sit for a while and ordering food and move them is not a great idea and also the paper had a different table number but after they cross it and put the number we were at. Very disrespectful told us we can’t sit there because is booked and that the dogs allowed only in the bar area. But thank you for the heads up before we sit and order to let us know… after that the food was great and the other waiter was great with the service even came and checked if the food was great people like him yes.

Food was delicious. Went there for my birthday, and it was a treat indeed. I was gutted I was so stuffed after dinner to have a pudding but I must say the steak was perfectly cooked. Just the right size for me!

Great meal at The Whitehouse, accommodated a party of 21 for my 30th birthday, great quick service and food came out hot. Will definitely return

First time here for many years and a very pleasant surprise. Good was good and piping hot along side excellent service, will be back again soon.

Not all staff friendly the girl behind the bar was very nice the guy on friday night 27th sept very rude he srrvdd people i front of me then when the girl csme and served me i gave her my money which us legal scottush £20 note he wad rude about the money on which the guy who was at the bar getting served also had a word with him ot being legal tender he still never liiked the rd i was on and said to him they are all nestly forgeries as to which i said there is more English forgeries the girl took the money and apologised for him i think he should be sent on a course for social skills

This is a lovely place and the food was amazing and really filling!! 😁. The only thing that let it down was I ordered my dessert and it took over half an hour to arrive, when it arrived it was a very small portion 😂

Was warmly welcomed when we went inside which was nice.. All the staff were so polite and friendly. We had a lovely meal which was delicious. We didnt have to wait long for the ordered food and it was served hot. We will definitely return again.

Such a beautiful place... Refurbished to a very high standard (July 24) this place is truly astonishing, impeccably clean and the staff here are extremely welcoming. The food coming from the kitchen during breakfast service was fresh and very well presented... Lots of happy diners 😋 Photos show this M and B venue in much more detail..📸 Also offering Darts, Pool table and a large free carpark. Thank you to the staff for looking after me today 👍

I’ve been here before and had the same experience. It has just been recently refurbished so thought we would give it the benefit of doubt. Wrong. If you’re willing to wait more than an hour for less than average food that comes only lukewarm, then fine, but not what I’m willing to pay for. There are a lot better places locally, and what we’ve stuck to before giving this place the benefit of doubt. Never again and money spent better elsewhere.

Lovely people, good deals... food was cooked to perfection but wasn't the best cuts of meat etc so the food supplier isn't upto scratch but the white house itself was great

Hi, went there August bank holiday, had the mixed grill, the food was lovely and I am so glad I had the fries which were delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive, wouldn't go anywhere else now. Well done to all the staff 👏

Not my first visit but a first for breakfast. Went for breakfast with friends. The service was great very helpful, efficient and friendly staff. The food was piping hot and delicious. Definitely be back.

Recently refurbished big improvement pleasant good food and friendly staff.

Absolutely poor experience and we were so disappointed and upset that we didn't chose to go to another restaurant instead, Wetherspoons would have been miles better. I've worked in the Food and Catering industry and this was an awful dinner. We arrived, we have a small baby in a pushchair, to be seated in the Resturant side it is not pushchair friendly so we had to carry the pushchair up 4 steps inside. Children running around screaming knocking into the pushchair, we were worried for his safety. We waited 45 mins for food. We ordered a mixed grill and beef rib with steak, it came out on a sizzling plate which burnt absolutely all the food. All the onion rings, bottom of steak, bottom of all the meat, mushrooms and tomatoes were completely black at the bottom and burnt because of the extremely hot plate. Smoke went all over the pram we had to move our 2 month old baby and cover the pram with the cover. Everything taste burnt, it was awful. The steak and all the meats were burnt and tasteless. The steaks were burnt on the outside and then overcooked and not the way we ordered (medium rare) We had to ask for plates as the sizzling plate were burning Everything and we wanted to take all the food off as soon as possible. We couldn't find a waiter to speak to, he was messing up a few of the orders around us so seemed very stressed and unorganised. Really disappointed and let down, this was our first evening out after having a child and it was ruined. We did not bother with dessert.

Very busy night tuesday 13th only 3 staff to run bar and food having been a manager of pubs my self i felt their pain they were amazing being told 20 mins wait after 40 mins i asked about food was told its gonna be about another few minutes . I know what chefs are like telling waiting staff 15 min waits which means more like 25.the 3 staff onduty were very professional in there approach and would highly praise them

Went back after the refurb, food still as good, been for a lunch had salmon,it was wonderful, we went for a breakfast as it's now open from 9 :00 for breakfast,we had a classic full English,really nice well cooked good value for money. We will definitely be back soon

The White House had just had a refurbishment, and it was very nicely decorated and modern. The service and food was excellent and the price was very good too. We shall be returning very soon.

Today my two children (8 & 6), partner and I had lunch here at The White House. The service was outstanding by Emma! Such a helpful, friendly and down to earth member of staff! Surely Assistant Manager material! She certainly knew her stuff! Helped me use the pub app there and showed me the different deals on offer! She brought colouring sheets for the kids and beer mats etc…. The other staff members were all very friendly too. The children’s food however, was a little over done but my ‘surf n turf’ & fries were very good. The deserts great too! Generous portions. Thank you Emma again for your professionalism and welcoming us. A very nicely decorated venue, clean and bright.

Visited yesterday. All thoroughly enjoyed our food. Pleasant staff and nice clean dining area. Fish and chips were top class and very good value. Would recommend the White House

Friendly staff nothing is to much and go above and beyond to make u feel welcome.

Just awful. We ordered meals from the adult and kids menu, which the bar staff took down all wrong - all items ordered individually instead of as the meal combinations! I went back up to complain about this as we were overcharged only to be met with hostility and given excuses that the member of staff who took my order only started the job that day! Manager did nothing to resolve either! No drinks were given with the kids meals that we had ordered, so again I had to go back up and ask for those too. Then they brought out the kids desserts BEFORE the starters and mains! It was also my child's birthday, so as you can imagine I was not happy at all and was in a foul mood as to how we'd already been treated. The only apologetic person, who continuously checked in on us was the young gentleman serving the food direct from the kitchen. He could teach the rest of them a thing or two about manners! If it wasn't for him going above and beyond to check in with us with every course he waited, we would have left. He apologised on behalf of the staff, corrected the mistakes the bar staff made when taking our original order, and took the time to make sure everyone was happy. He will go far! As for the rest of them, they need training on basic manners and customer service - manager especially!

The staff were amazing! At very short notice, I was able to hold my 60th birthday celebration in a dedicated area of the pub. It was made available to us from the time they opened until we left. They helped to make it a memorable day and looked after us so well. The buffet was delicious and everyone commented how good it was. They even brought my cake out and started the singing! Will definitely be back.

Went for a private do. Great staff and good outdoor tables.

Four of us just popped in for a quick drink on our way back home. First we sat outside in the sun, but the bench was rather rickety, all the others were taken so we went inside & sat at a table, no sooner had we done that we were asked to move, as the table was now reserved even tho there was no sign on the the table, so we upped to another table in the corner, put by a large group celebrating, but very noisy. We drank up & left.

Staff can not do enough to make you welcome. I called in on a tue evening, probably why it was quiet Plenty of tables to choose from seats need a little tlc ripped, but tables nice and clean food is all well presented but basic and small portions.

First time having a meal at this pub. Had lunch on a Saturday. Service was very polite and good was served quickly. I would highly recommend this pub. We will definitely be going back.

Great pub lovely menu, highly recommend the chicken tikka skewers 😊. Booked a table for 20 of us service was good staff very helpful and lovely too.

Sausage and mash needed onion gravy. Gravy provided was not the best. Drinks were good. Service by Vicki was fab. Lovely and friendly.

I took my fussy eater granddaughter to eat at the restaurant and i have to say the chef Dan outdone himself, he catered to all her fussy requirements and we throughly enjoyed our meal, the manager claire allowed us to do up a birthday table for my granddaughter which was very kind of her, the manager is very friendly and accommodating.

Visited here yesterday with friends for food, the food came out quickly and tasted amazing I would definitely recommend the gyros wrap. Claire looked after us really well and made sure we had all we needed.

Celebrating an 18th birthday. Food wasn’t great however the staff were super friendly and helpful. Vicky was amazing!

We had a lovely experience for my nieces 18th Birthday!! Vicki made our experience paying extra attention to the details! She is a great asset to the White House!! The only thing that was missing was a shot on the house!! :)

Came for food with my family for my 21st birthday. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. My mixed grill was cooked to perfection. Claire made sure we had all we needed and even brought out my cake and sang happy birthday to me. We will definitely be back again soon and thank you team white house for making my birthday special.

Visited again on Sunday and the service was excellent. Claire and her team are really welcoming each time we visit and food is always cooked perfectly. Nice staff but place could do with make over chairs mid matched full of food squashed in seat pads holes in the wall food not great eith cold burnt or poor quality

Food was really well presented and cooked to perfection. Very child friendly. There were 11 of us, which could be challenging, but all the staff were warm and welcoming.
