The White Lion in Monmouthshire

Absolutely wicked night . Went on a Wednesday and it did not disappoint ! Karaoke was absolutely amazing. Definitely not one to miss that's for sure

As I was outside the pub and walking down to the bottom of chepstow one of the bouncers grabbed my drink quickly from my hand aggressively and spilt it all over my white fur coat which was the only gift I had from my mum which is now stained from coca cola. The worst thing was that I was coming back to the pub waiting for a friend and hadn't even taken said drink from the lion but instead from a shop as it was in a plastic cup. If they had been polite instead of big headed and simply asked me to put my drink down, which I shouldn't have had to do anyway then I could have explained or of they did not believe me could have put it down. They obviously were trying to wind people up and cause trouble which completely ruined my night. That aside the overall music was good and the service staff were lovely had a brill as many wouldn't I don't really appreciate having a drink poured over me in the street. Unless you want your clothes ruined I would definitely avoid avoid avoid!

3 bedraggled walkers went in for coffee & cake , and were so enthused by the service Tina provided , we returned later for lunch . On a wet day , this was a nice quiet refuge where we enjoyed home made soup , followed by pie & mash for me . The Brains beer was well kept too ..... Will happily return to this pub the next time I'm in Chepstow .
