I read some good reviews so I thought I would try it out. I was not disappointed! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The beer was ice cold. The ambience was lovely. It was a wonderful warm evening so I ate outside. Service was great. The staff were so so nice and made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

A local where the staff and owner welcomed me like a local.Great service and good steak .It was so good Id make a point of coming back when traveling via Term Five .2mins walk from Premier Inn and Thistle hotels.

We wandered to The White Horse while staying at the Premier Inn before our flight. What a cute British pub! You get the full experience from a local family pub here. From chilled glasses for your beer, to looking after my food allergy and accommodating the menu. Nothing to fault and a super friendly pleasant staff. Just lovely :)

Great English pub. Exactly what you would expect but a short bus ride from the airport. Tried the ale and like it. I hope they don't tear it down for another runway at Heathrow. 500 years of history in a nice little village. Well, 5 years ago, they were threatening to tear this pub and village down. So glad to see from recent reviews that it still stands. If I ever get back to England I hope to stop in again.

We went here for a family reunion, some from London and other parts of England and the USA. Convenient as so close to Heathrow. What can I say? Super friendly! Landlord very helpful and thoughtful. Milly, I hope this is the correct spelling!, was wonderful, so incredibly helpful and patient with us all. Food was great and no complaints at all. Very reasonably priced and great value for money. I loved the Omelette! A lovely atmosphere in an old English pub, with beautiful floral baskets and tubs and great staff. Check out the Weather Stone at the front of the Pub Highly recommended

We stayed at a nearby hotel but saw this pub on the way there. My wife and I took a stroll to check it out, stayed for a drink, and then decided to get our kids (9, 12 and 15) to join us rather than eating at the hotel. Friendly staff and great food. Really happy we found this place. Limited kids menu for the little one, but she was happy with sausage and garlic bread. Awesome chips! (Or as my 12 year old put it: ‘the chips are sufficiently crispy’ 😂)

We came here from a near by hotel, after missing a flight... We are a family with two children (14 and 11 years old). The pub looks so authentic and beautiful. We had the lasagna Verdi, the double bacon cheeseburger and potatoes with sausages. The food is amazing!! Big portions, super tasty, and we almost finished it all. We also had the apple crumble with ice cream which was finished so fast, that I didn't have time to take a photo of it. Can't say I'd love to miss another flight, but it's definitely on my "come back again" list. Thank you for the good time here.

Nice food, friendly staff. And real ale. Lovely outside seating area on a warm day. If you are staying near terminal 5, this is worth a walk.

Great local pub. Like so many other reviewers we found ourselves stuck in London and found the pub. Bartender was friendly and offered solid service. Food was good but the atmosphere was cozy. If you’re looking for an authentic pub experience, this is a great place to visit.

Really cozy pub near Heathrow. Went for dinner our last night in UK and it was wonderful. Double bacon and cheese burger was huge and delicious, curry was awesome. Also got the garlic bread with jalapenos, bacon and cheese and it was delicious. Great evening on the patio.

We had a long layover at Heathrow and were dying to go to an English pub! The White Horse was easy to get to from the airport - a short walk from Terminal 5. The staff were lovely and we chatted to some of the other patrons. Great meal and a better time!

Loved it here! My brothers and I are from America and we are in the UK for just one night, this was the perfect place to come! We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Cliff, and he was the highlight of the night! The food, drinks, and vibes are so great. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic little pub very close to the airport. Cozy place and very friendly with great food! Well worth the trip away from the airport. Google claimed it was a 2.1 mile walk from terminal 5, but there's a pedestrian path that makes it less than a mile. Although after the fish & chips plus dessert, we really could have used the 2.1 mile walk!

I’ve been coming to this pub for years, but recently the service has been even more exceptional than usual. The hosts, Emma, Rosie, and Millie are always so friendly and warm and make sure you feel welcome and looked after. Nothing is too big an ask and they always help to make sure our time there is wholesome. Thank you girls!!

A cool old English pub close to Heathrow.

A traditional English cozy pub with excellent food and a fantastic atmosphere. The delightful staff add to the overall charm. It's always a pleasure to visit. I love their vegetarian lasagne - it's my favourite.

Over the year’s we’ve been coming to this lovely little pub every time we’ve flown out of Heathrow. This time the place wasn’t that clean the food that was good value and always served hot and plentiful wasn’t up to the previous years. So sorry to say we won’t be returning.

Simply charming little pub with tasty food in generous portions cooked to order & friendly staff which made it an extremely pleasant impromptu lunch before a flight, definitely recommended & will return!

We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn and spotted this lovely pub a short walk away. Having compared the 2 menus, they were comparable in price so obviously we decided on The White Horse. The pub and staff were lovely. However, the prices weren't! The (very tiny) prices on the menu bore no resemblance to those on their website. Fish and chips had risen from £19 to £25, lasagne from £11 to £21! Our burgers were fine but £18?! We felt misled. The website must be years out of date. If it had been current, we might have saved ourselves a walk in the rain and a whole load of money!

Found this lovely pub while staying close to Heathrow. The atmosphere was so charming, as were the staff. Our dinner was excellent (Country Pie), served piping hot! Didn’t want to leave England without the experience of an old English pub and The White Horse fulfilled my desire 100%. Highly recommend!

Best fish & chips I've had in years. Very lovely bar tender, cosy atmosphere and a few beers on draught...if you're around, check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Passed this pub on the way to our hotel before the next mornings early flight. So glad we visited as a fantastic oldy pub with ice cold drinks and great service. Cheaper than hotel price by a fair bit as well.

Great music and atmosphere. Of course, the beer on tap was good too. An inebriated patron with his dog was stumbling about inside this tiny pub trying to speak to people.

Great local food, can walk there from Heathrow, the charm and beer were perfect. Hope to make it back

Proper village pub type atmosphere with the locals and people travelling too and from heathrow, the menu is limited but with home cooked feel!!! And the young staff are smiley and welcoming!!! Plus plenty of outdoor seating in the summer!!!

Few dinner trip to this place. Excellent foods highly recommended the Fish Pie.

Only really found by being close to our hotel but glad we did. Perfect British pub, music is spot on, staff are friendly, good choice of drinks, and the food is amazing, good portion sizes and very tasty

Excellent country pub with great food

Had lunch here on a weekday. Food was plentiful and delicious! Omelette and Ham/Egg/Chips very tasty. Pub atmosphere was terrific.

Lovely pub. Not much seating so get there early if you want to eat inside. Have been before. No kore than 10min walk from Premier Inn or The Thistle Hotel by Terminal 5 Heathrow. London prices but good wholesome food. Staff lovely. 2nd time here and we will be back.

A small pub with a history dating back to the 16th century. It's worth drinking a pint there.

Called in for an Ale and a Whiskey. Great atmosphere for a small pub, super cosy and friendly. Didn’t try the food but will be back. Must see stop near Heathrow airport on your way in or out.

In the shadow of Heathrow what a great pub I will be back!! Well I'm back and it is still good. Back again fish and chips very hot and filling. Cracking pint of London Pride!! This pub in Longford village is highly recommended. .The food is first rate , with a good selection on offer.

Great pub. The London Pride was well kept. When we visited the main bar was full, but the lady behind the bar couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and accommodating as she opened up the 'barn' area early.for us. I'm sorry that I can't remember said lady's name. Too many London Prides I guess!

Just a great place original Pub

Excellent find when staying at a local hotel. The 2 ladies behind the bar were very welcoming and served us brilliantly. Good menu choices and the food was fresh and portions very large. Very good value. We had mains, school type puddings and drinks all for £63 for 2

We didn't order food, but what we saw and smelled was amazing! Amanda, who was behind the bar was the most wonderful person, so kind, and helpful. The locals in the bar were super friendly too! We stayed at the premier inn but wanted a change of scenery so went to the white horse. We had the best time and if we didn't have to get up at 6 in the morning would have stayed. Thank you ❤️ May even go back.... 👀

We were staying at a Heathrow hotel but wanted a nice pub lunch and thats exactly what we got. Although we received the starters and the main course together (as the kitchen was closing) all the food was very tasty I had Lasagne and it was expensive but the best Lasagne Ive ever tasted so well worth it. I would definately come here again

Beautiful old pub just by Heathrow. Good quality pub grub, well kept London Pride and good service. A little on the pricy side but to be expected. Will be a crying shame to lose this 1500s pub (and the entire village) under the third runway.. almost suspicious that Google Streetview is not available just outside!

Having to overnight in London on our way back to NovaScotia, we wanted to experience a "proper" English pub, and we did! Words can not fully describe this quaint little pub, a step back in time. The staff was great, the food was fantastic (not Michelin star), but the charm was talking to some of the locals. Very "pubby". It was a great evening, and it didn't break the bank.

My meal was cold except for the plaice and when I complained I was just told “sorry”. At £18 and just palliatable to eat the fish I thought that was unacceptable?

Popped in for a drink whilst staying at the Thistle Terminal 5. Only a 10 minute walk away and nicer than the soulless hotel bars. Mixture of locals and travellers. Lovely open fire. We decided not to eat there as the food seemed quite expensive ( when you actually saw the prices as written on the menu in the smallest font). Would stop for a drink there again.

Great place to stop just down the road from Heathrow.

Hadn't been here before but will certainly visit again as it is just 5 mins from the T5 Premier Inn. Quirky little place with really nice food and beers much better than sitting in a chain hotel.

The White Horse Pub is located in a tiny village almost under the flight path at Heathrow. A traditional old pub with bags of character, the place is easily accessible from Terminal 5 by local bus (maybe about 5 minutes if that). It is so easy to escape Heathrow and eat locally Unless you are visiting in Summer or in good weather, go early as the seating for food in the bar is limited (the outdoor patio complete with heaters is huge). We settled on fish and chips for the two of us and some decent beer and really enjoyed our meal. The portions were huge but fresh.

The beer is awful and sour. I took my beer back as it was so bad . Instead of giving me a good pint, the bartender said, there was nothing wrong with the beer. I left the beer on the bar, and walked out. Awful place, stay away.

A pretty groovy place that played classic RandB music in the back. The bartenders are attractive young women...

Got stuck at the airport overnight on our way back to the States. We were put up close at a hotel so we searched for local pubs. The White Horse had good reviews. Watch your head! You walk down a couple of stairs and need to duck to get into the pub. It was great! Great service, friendly patrons, quaint and it had plenty of locals to talk to. I give the food a 5, because we went there for the ambience and drinks. Not for the food. The good food was a bonus. If we had gone out for food, I would rate it a 4. We had the dirty chips, beef stew, lasagna Verdi and spicy squid. The chips could have been covered more with the toppings. The spicy fried squid was good. The lasagna could have used more seasonings. The beef stew was perfect. So, no complaints. If you choose to smoke, there's an outdoor area that is covered where you can eat, drink and enjoy your tobacco. The bathrooms were extremely clean. You can tell that the whole crew at this place cares about customer satisfaction. And they will do their best to take care of you. Great experience!

Having been to this pub on a number of occasions when staying at Heathrow we have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We stopped in once again this week and the staff were friendly as always but they have ramped up their prices significantly. £6.90 for a pint and they wanted £25 for fish and chips. Sorry, but that's just ridiculous. So we drank our pints and left and went elsewhere for food. Unfortunately you've just lost regular customers. These prices are more than the hotel room service 5 minutes up the road.

I was dreading eating at the local hotel, spotted this place on the way in. What a lovely old pub, small and very quaint. Promised myself I'd have only the one pint but, the Fuller's London Pride on the pull is spot on so . . . . . . Chicken & veg pie excellent, yes veg is frozen & the chips are fries, gravy probably Bisto but a lovely pub meal honestly. Wife had the scampi said it was very good. Also music excellent for those of us of more mature years.

Just loved it! So full of character and atmosphere and the food was delicious. Our guest from the States wanted to experience a proper old English pub, and this ticked all the boxes.

We love this pub and always book a hotel nearby before we travel so we can visit, even if we’re not flying from T5, but never again £19 for a large vodka and a pint of Guinness! Sorry but even close to the airport this is ridiculous pricing! We did question the charge and were assured it was correct! Seriously!!

Only had ham egg and chips - very nice. Friendly staff and a good pint of Abbott. Quite pricey.

Cosy traditional English pub, good service and good food.

A very reasonable price for this meal, although they forgot the Surf on my Surf and Turf but they did correct that when prompted, although as I had to wait I was hoping for extra Prawns but got 3 😔 it tasted nice though.

Strange little pub serving folks staying at the cheap hotels by Heathrow

Food was of awful quality - the ham for ham egg and chips was supermarket packet bought. One egg, chips frozen. Food was priced well and above quality - the game here - trap flyers from Heathrow that have little options, charge high, don't rely on repeat custom. Please do not visit or start your holiday here.

Gemütlicher kleiner Pub mit wirklich gutem und leckerem Essen. Man bestellt an der Bar und bekommt das Essen schnell serviert. Alle waren super freundlich. Das einzige was nicht unser Ding war, war die Musik aber das hat dem schönen Abend nicht geschadet.

Ordered the Mississippi chicken for starter - was basically Birds Eye chicken dippers and a pot of BBQ sauce. Main was ham, egg and chips - the ham was clearly supermarket bought as was wafer thin. I hardly ever review on trip advisor as I believe sometimes places are a miss; this is definitely one to miss - complete and utter trap for travellers who are served bog standard food as they will never return. Please don’t do it!

Good music with good vibes outside. Good portion of fish, the inside bar to order was really busy with chairs in the way to actually order good. Little bit slow but no less then an hour. The Lasagna was very cheesy, almost a whole block of cheese 🧀 on the top.

A place you could spend an entire afternoon at on a sunny day, serving excellent homemade pub food. I felt they were short of staff when I visited. That said, the lady who served us was excellent.
