Popped in with my husband for a couple of drinks and had a very enjoyable time. Being a Gin drinker, I particularly enjoyed the range of flavoured Gins on offer and served with a smile from the bar staff who are friendly and polite. Will definitely be returning.

Great pub, and it is an extremely dog-friendly pub. Highly recommend.

Our recent visit to your establishment on Mother's Day was a disappointing one. We had high hopes for a special celebration with our mothers, but unfortunately, the food and service fell short of our expectations. We had the Mother’s Day set menu, which sounded promising, but the reality was underwhelming. One dish was sent back, and overall, the food lacked flavor and seemed to be pre-cooked from frozen ingredients. Specifically, the mashed potatoes were hard and tasteless, and the beef dish was overcooked and dry, more like dried jerky. We were also disappointed to find that the vegetables and potatoes appeared to be cooked from frozen. For a pub with so much potential, it was shocking to experience such subpar food quality. Furthermore, we encountered some issues with the service. The young staff, although friendly, seemed to need additional training. We also noticed that some staff members were wearing dirty t-shirts, which didn't align with our expectations for a clean and welcoming environment. To top it off, we discovered an error on our bill, which resulted in an overcharge of almost £90. This was a significant amount, especially considering the poor quality of food we received. In conclusion, while your pub has a lovely atmosphere, our experience was marred by substandard food and service. We hope that you will take our feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to provide better quality food and service to your customers.

We popped in with the dog on a lovely, lively Friday evening for a pint and a bite. My wife was tempted by the fish and chips, which she highly rated and I went for the double chicken burger. Now that chicken burger is one of the best I’ve ever had, so tasty using real meat, not processed! Very surprised and will be back. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, lovely evening.

Had a roast with family a few weeks ago on a Sunday, it was ok , but the potatoes were not proper roast, potatoes, the turkey was processed slices, not like fresh cut turkey, my own home cooked roast is much better! However the fish and chips other family members ordered were great and they said they were really nice. We felt it was odd that some staff were dressed in t shirts and shorts when serving the food, not what you expect , it was difficult to tell who was staff. On the plus the wine and beer was good! We will go again but will have fish and chips as that is good!

I've eaten there many times but today was awful. A lot of the menu was out of stock (including the kids menu). When the food came out the beef and gammon was dry and tough and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp. Will definitely think twice about eating there again.

Terrible. Staff were fine but there were so many things on the menu that weren’t available. When we did get our food from what was left on the menu, the food was not edible - the gammon that was insanely salty, overcooked sea bass and hunters chicken that was rock hard. We were offered a refund on the food but I’m not keen on coming back here.

Nice pub noisy in the main bar but quieter in the back where it is pleasant to have a meal. Food was decent as far a pub goes, but a few of the mains options were unavailable.

Amazing experience, Dave met with me at the door and and answered all the fun ‘first-visitor’ questions. Drinks spot on, food flavorful. Please visit and get the Deer-Steak Pie!!!

I come to The Coach and Horses at least once a week for lunch. The food is excellent, the staff are appropriately attentive (not over bearing) and the vibe/aesthetic is lovely. It's a great pub!

Very disappointed. I had heard good reviews and expected more. Food was OK but no more and the diet coke was watery and very see through. Service was poor the waitress who brought our food virtually shouted out our order and almost threw the plates on the table. No one bothered to check if our meals were OK.

Popped in for quick drink after a long walk. Didn't have food but very cosy, relaxed environment and comfortable sorf seats, almost didn't want to leave. People I didn't know actually smiling and chatting with me unprompted, so friendly including the bar person serving our drinks. Will definitely return for food

Popped in for a few drinks on Saturday afternoon. Nice pub with a very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Nice open fires to warm yourself by. The pub I'd dog friendly and they also have dog snacks and treats.

Haven’t been to this pub in years and thought we’d try a visit. Pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good pub grub. There were 5 of us and we all had different things and we all really enjoyed it. Will be visiting again soon. Would recommend to others.

Day 4 of our tour of Ickenham eateries took us to the Coach and Horses, which we rate as one of the top two 'poshest' eateries in Ickenham. Service is traditionally friendly but haphazard, the food pricey but usually good quality and looks the part.

I've came to this pub more times then i can count. I've been coming here since i was very young and have never ever been displeased or disappointed by my experience. The food is amazing and the service is very fast and very good. The workers are all such lovely people who make me want to come back to this pub more and more often. Food & drinks are cheap and worth the price .

I visited Coach & Horses on a Friday night with a friend. We had a booking, and although the pub wasn’t full, it had a nice, cosy atmosphere. The pub is spacious with two areas: a bar with TVs for sports fans and a quieter seating area where we were placed. The service was fast and friendly, which we appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. I had sausages and mash with gravy on the side. The sausages seemed pre-cooked and reheated, and the mashed potatoes were some of the worst I’ve had—lumpy, unseasoned, and lacking any real flavour. We also shared the fried squid starter, but it was equally underwhelming, completely unseasoned. While the atmosphere and service were nice, the food didn’t match the standard. If the kitchen improved, this place could be great.

A good pub enjoy a quite drink with a good meal of your choice we need more vegetarian food options .It will open up a new clientele. There is a large range of meal options

Attended our annual Zumba classe Xmas dinner and dance at this venue. Food was excellent, and a great party night was had by all.

I'm one of those unfortunate people with many food intolerances. I asked to speak to someone about food and a very kind lady came and spoke to me. I told her that I could only really eat fruit and vegetables as there were unfortunately no meals on the menu that I could eat due to my intolerances (even though the food choices were good). She took time to ask me exactly what I could and couldn't eat and then served me up with a 3 course meal within my limitations, so that I could happily eat alongside my friends. 10 December 2024:- I visited the Coach and Horses again today. They were helpful with my food intolerances. It's a very nice pub with a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely love this place. Staff are friendly and the place is very clean. Just wish that sometimes the service was a little quicker. But other than that all positive.

Very good value for money. The vegetables very a bit hard but overall the meals were excellent and no service charge.

Slightly disappointed after going for Sunday lunch today. We booked in advance and had to pay a deposit but no tables were available in the restaurant so had to sit in the bar area which wasn’t the most comfortable experience. Food was average, hard roast potatoes and mash must of been cooked days ago as it was awful. They do offer free top ups of roasties, Yorkshire and gravy so asked for more roasties just in case we had a bad batch but unfortunately they were still very hard! Do like this pub for a drink both in summer and winter but maybe best to avoid food.

The fish & chips and lasagna was good. The ribs and gammon dish was extremely salty.

Stopped in for a quick snack and drink. Ordered fries, onion rings and mushroom cheese on bruchetta. Best onion rings I have had in years. Fries chunky and freshly made, mushroom dish very good. Staff friendly and efficient. Will be a returning again.

We have not been to the Coach and Horses for ages so decided to come yesterday!They have a decent gluten free menu as well.The decor is nice and cosy!The music was really nice and relaxing.The service was extremely efficient.The food was delicious as well,the nacho sharer was delicious and had nice dips too,perfect to share between 2 or more people.The lamb shank was outstanding,the meat was tender,high quality and delicious.The gravy really added flavour.The vegetables and mash and roast potatoes were really tasty too.Would highly recommend!

It has completely changed since the weatherspoons closed. They have a DJ on Friday night's. The garden is always full. The staff are all friendly. Lots of places to sit inside and have a nice family meal.

The coach and horses has been a regular meeting point for all of my friends and I for years now. We have enjoyed many a night out with yummy bar bites and even better drinks. The staff have always been nothing but friendly and accommodating, would recommend to everyone.

Went for lunch with my Mum and Friends on a week day. It wasn’t very busy at all. Food was ok but the bar staff were rude, stood around talking and playing on their phones while there were people waiting at the bar. Wouldn’t go back in a hurry.

The food was horrible. Would never eat there again. The lamb shank was smothered in a sweet gravy, and I mean smothered. One friend’s vegetables were rock hard and inedible. Another friend had pasta which had barely been cooked. The only meal that was eaten was a salad. Mind you, that would be really difficult to mess up! Extremely disappointed.

Glasses were dirty, staff are distracted and rude. Even the dog bowls were unclean when asked for we were given dirty looks.

Not my first choice of eating establishment in the area.Sadly the Beefeaters in the local area have both closed. It used to be very nice, a bit down hill lately. My son wanted to go for his birthday. A lot of stuff on the menu not available. Ordered via the app at the table, staff weren't quite attentive. The food that we had was OK. Drinks were good, recommend the Wicked Lady Rose.

I booked lunch for 26 people, each of them ordering their food at the bar. The service was good and quick, and the food hot and tasty. With the absence of music being played, we we able to talk to each other. A very pleasant experience all round. Thanks to the bar, serving and kitchen staff. Tony M.

I like the Coach and Horses, it's of a piece with its locale and adds to it. Ickenham is a 2-pub village, the other one a Spoons that closed and then re-opened, in June 2024, under new ownership. Whatever, the long-established Coach and Horses had competition which would have killed another pub, yet survived. The reasons are two-fold: Decent pub grub and a well-kept range of drinks. An obvious solution? A lot of pubs still don't get it! Whatever, pop in when you're next in Ickenham - it's on the Metropolitan Line and the pub's minutes from the station - and, quite simply, enjoy. PS. There's a model railway at the back of the pub, and it's rather fun!

The young woman who served our group beverages at the beginning of the week was very accommodating. A pity there is no breakfast menu, lost revenue I feel especially as the local Wetherspoon's has closed

Extremely disappointed. Coach & horses Sent birthday voucher for 6 free drinks. Went beginning of week and asked what drinks are allowed. Guy at bar said he needs to input voucher code to check what drinks were allowed. He said only Amstel and some bottled beers are allowed. Hence I asked him not to input voucher as I'll use voucher for another day. He said that it should be fine. Came 2 days later and was told voucher was already used. Explained to manager that we didn't use voucher but she wasn't having any of it. At the end she gave us 2 free drinks instead of 6 on voucher. My advice......don't visit this pub if you get a voucher for your birthday. Very disappointed!

First time there, despite being a borough resident for years. Excellent layout and more than anything, the staff was wonderful. Food ordered and delivered in reasonable time. Would recommend to anyone anytime of the year, but with a beer garden...Summer is best!

Went with 3 friends on Sunday for a roast dinner. The atmosphere and the service was excellent, but the roast dinner was very poor. Beef was tough and vegetables badly cooked. Dessert sundae was lovely.

We've been locals in the area for almost two years now, but we've only just tried Coach & Horses. The service we received from Shaun was unforgettable and would highly recommend coming here. We will definitely be returning :)

It's ages since we've been here, The last time was when the new owners took over and cancelled the cheap food night, which ended our weekly visit. We didn't eat but had a lovely evening in the garden. The table ordering App needs a little work as we waited a long time to get our drinks, so walk to the bar. We'll try the food next time.

Had a couple of pints and some food in the garden, after doing a big hike. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ben, who was very attentive to our needs Cheers, we'll be back!

We walked the second half of the Hillingdon Trail today and did it in reverse so we could end our walk at this pub. Drinks and food were excellent, as was the service from Ben, our server.

I had the lovely bar staff called Molly. I was a party of three and she was absolutely lovely so accommodating and incredibly polite.I had the steak sandwhich and it was almost as delicious as Molly’s service.

I visit the Coach and Horse frequently and always look forward to it. Sometimes we’ll have a meal, at other times just for a drink. We are never disappointed, the food is always good and plenty of selection. Ben, Shaun and the rest of the team are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Always a great night out.

It has a large beer garden at the rear with loads of seating. A good selection of beers and the pub grub is up to standard. Plenty of staff that are helpful.

First time at this pub for dinner and some drinks, food was absolutely great and would definitely come back to try some more. Sharing platter is convenient for a group of friends with a great selection of choices. Standard pub drinks but really enjoyed trying the new unfiltered Birra Moretti. As for the wine, apparently the menu isn’t always up to date so they didn’t have the Verdejo which was disappointing but the Malbec was fab. Overall, the venue was nice and the garden space was big - a great vibe. However the biggest issue here is the staff. The runners from the bar were unfriendly and unapproachable, we ordered a few things from the app and they had no idea what table they were going too, despite all tables being numbered. A couple of the ladies behind the bar have genuinely never looked grumpier. One server could clearly see I was waiting to be served and still approached a gentlemen that had come after me - I had to make a point that she had seen me waiting for a while and that I should have been next.. No apology and served me my drinks. On another occasion, another server saw me approach the bar whilst what seemed like her friends were standing in front of her (it looked like they were waiting for some sort of discount from her but the whole thing was awkward) I continued to wait as all the other servers were busy. I was honestly stood there for 5 minutes before she looked at me and asked are you waiting to be served? Seriously? She had seen me approach the bar and she was literally standing there. Her friends eventually paid and she took my order. For a Stonegate pub who claims all employees are received with ‘industry leading training and assistance from experienced pub support teams’ the customer service here is absolutely awful.

The food was terrible. Two courses, prawns and calamari in breadcrumbs - fried breadcrumbs, hardly any fish. Tortellini for mains, not cooked. How hard is it to cook pasta till it is cooked! We have been here before several times and had good food but last night was awful. Will not be returning

Good local pub with a lively atmosphere. Had a sharing platter with drinks and it was fine, standard pub grub which suited us for the night. Reasonably friendly bar team but very busy so can understand if they're slightly pushed. Overall, a good pub and I'd recommend going with family, or friends.

Visited a bustling eatery for Sunday Roast with a delightful ambiance and pleasant atmosphere. The service was exceptional, and overall, the food was well-cooked and beautifully presented. However, the roast potatoes fell short of expectations, being powdery in the center and not adequately hot.
