I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection accompanied by warm and friendly atmosphere. All the staff both front of house, and in the kitchen are welcoming making it a great experience to dine. Would recommend a visit.

Ad hoc lunch after seeing lunch special on social media, phoned for booking hoping for a table was good job as was last table they had , was not disappointed had sirloin & fries with peppercorn sauce all for (£10) , they also had their new autumn menu out which to say the least looked amazing we shall be back to try new menu which is set menu ( 2 course for £43 ) food is of top quality expertly cooked absolutely delicious 😋

Family lunch in the garden. Very dog friendly both inside and outside. Several waterbowls dotted around. The owner even handed out free Battersea doggie icecream pots. Food was good, (the ham was freshly carved) and friendly service.

WOW !! What a Sunday lunch we had there today !! Food was lovely, fresh and well presented, and very filling ! Dessert was yummy ! Lots of variety to choose from, and difficult to make a choice, but whatever you have, you will not regret it !!

Really good food, made with heart. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Atmosphere was a bit flat for us but we were pretty early for a Sunday lunch. Loads of waiters, who were nice enough but could have been a bit more attentive in removing plate/masses of unused cutlery.

Warm and welcoming inn set in a picturesque location with plenty of car parking and room inside. The staff were friendly and the owner/head chef Nathan went out of his way to talk with us and explain the history of the inn and his plans for the future. We ordered the beef bourguignon which was delightful, leaving us no room for dessert.

We came as a table of 15 for my sisters birthday firstly we had a very warm welcome and a lovely table by the window that overlooked the beautiful big garden, chairs were comfy, table set up lovely. Children’s orders taken first. I ordered from the Specials Menu and had Stone Bass it was unreal one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. All the food looked amazing and clean plates all round. I can’t wait to come back for a Sunday Roast or a tipple in the Garden.

The service and food are exceptional. A superb and varied menu, out large party got to try almost every dish on the menu and we enjoyed everything, especially the Rock Bass. They also have a beautiful outdoor space that we are looking forward to using in the summer!

I wouldn't bother wasting your time. Food is worse than average and upset our bellies, and don't get me started on the owner. There's a reason why a lot of people in the village and surrounding areas do not like him or his pub. He also has a tendency to report bad reviews to hide criticism. Go to the Compasses instead!

Phoned up last minute on Sunday and was greeted pleasantly, the Sunday lunch was fantastic, service and atmosphere was very good and buzzing respectively, would recommend and return

Quite simply, the very best Sunday lunch ever. Roast supreme of chicken and roast pork belly with enormous helpings of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. Decent value and without wishing to exaggerate at all, the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had. Full stop.

We went for a Sunday lunch with friends today and it couldn’t have been better! Big, fresh and delicious meals all presented beautifully in a lovely village pub with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The Sunday roasts were some of the best we’ve had, the roast potatoes were top tier and the yorkies were huge! Great staff, nothing was too much bother and went to great lengths to cater for an allergy within our party too. Would definitely recommend to others based on todays experience and we’ll be back for more!

We had a family of 9 booked for Roast Dinner and this was our first visit . the service and staff was second to none and the Food was Amazing . The best Roast Dinners we have had . We will 100 % be back soon . Well done all at the White Hart .

The most fabulous Sunday lunch in a country mile a real hidden gem, the best Yorkshire puddings everything fresh and tasty very relaxed atmosphere didn't feel pressurised staff great and the chef was very welcoming and we had a good chat

Found this lovely place via Google Maps - will certainly go back. The French Onion soup was to die for, Hubby had steak pie and I had Beef Melt. Food and service was exceptional.

The wife and I dropped in for Lunch expecting a lunch that we can get down the road in Flitwick at any other pub. This was not the case I expected that it would be more expensive but not double that we would pay anywhere else. Cheapest lunch on the menu bangers and mash £13.00 each plus diet coke at £4.50 and pint of local bitter at £5.60 all way to expensive for senior citizens. We ate in bar not in the restaurant got our own drinks then got charged a service charge of 10% extra, £39.71 in total. All this for a meal with smaller sausages than any other local pub. So all other pubs in area same meal and drinks would have cost us £18-20 and for that we would have got a desert as well. This pub is not good value and it shows for the lack of customers we will not be stopping there again.

Regular stop when we visit friends locally. Food is lovely with generous portions. Service is always solid and staff are friendly. Highly recommend

Beautiful pub, very nice Sunday dinner and attentive service. My only observation, the Yorkshire pud was a touch overdone which gave it a slightly charred taste. Otherwise, the beef was superb, the veg was just right and the pudding was very nice.

14 of us have just enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch. The food was excellent with very generous portions, Great service, lovely atmosphere with staff who were eager to make our visit feel special. We'll certainly be going back!!

We booked a meal to celebrate an anniversary. The team, as usual were warm and welcoming, including Pippa the family dog. Service and food were excellent, I personally recommend the Lemon Sole from the specials menu, cooked to perfection. The White Hart looked stunning with the beautiful Christmas tree. Always great to visit the pub and the team.

I have just had a party held at The White Hart, Flitton. Wow wow and wow!!! The staff couldn’t have worked any harder. Food was excellent and plentiful. Honestly couldn’t recommend enough! These guys are so attentive to every detail, and made the birthday girl feel very special. Well done guys and thank you for making this a truly memorable day!!!

We held our wedding here at The beautiful White Hart. We had around 50 day guests and around 90 altogether in the evening. The team, food and venue were absolutely stunning. We had the best communication with Sarah, the events coordinator, throughout all of our planning. Her attention to detail and little touches made the day even more amazing. All our food, from the wedding breakfast to our evening buffet, was freshly prepared by the very talented owner and chef, Nathan. It was piping hot and delicious, superb actually. Many of our guests commented on how outstanding the food was. Our main barman for the evening was Harry - and along with the team, they worked hard all night to ensure all our guests were happy and served. The new marquee is lovely anyway, but looked unbelievable once all our wedding decorations had been put in. No request was too big. The team worked so hard and supported all of our key people, DJ, florist, cake etc. The team made sure we had the most beautiful and memorable wedding. Our whole day and evening was very relaxed and comfortable, our guests were warmly welcomed by The White Hart family and we all had such a great day from start to end. Many of our guests told us it was one of the best weddings they’d been to! Well done White Hart and thank you. 💕

Great pub, with a nice facilities, very friendly staff and great food. Not only the food was really tasty, as the portions very decent. Definitely a place to go eat when I'll be around again. It has a convenient carpark around the building as well as a.nice outdoor seating area, to enjoy a sunny and worm day.

We couldn't recommend The White Hart enough as a great place to hold an event (we had circa 70 guests) and Sarah could not have been more organised and helpful with bringing it all together for us. This place comes to life in the evening with all the pretty, atmospheric lighting and the light up dance floor, complete with ABBA band made for a very fun evening!! We dropped in for a quick bite before going out to a venue. Warm welcome into the restaurant Not busy as early 6pm. We waited for our drinks and had to prompt the waiter to bring them. Two glasses of wine £28.50! We ordered Cauliflower Kassundi which was one whole cauliflower with a sprinkle of spice on looked like it had been air fried and tasted awful cost £12.50 I had the lamb kofta which was three pieces of lamb £15.70 service charge £7.65 all in all a total waste of money. Very bland not good service and most of all food tasted awful and wasnt good value for money. I didn't complain as it was a business meeting and we need to get to venue on time.

I recently styled a wedding at The White Hart alongside Sarah and her team. Sarah was incredibly organised and a pleasure to work with. Would absolutely recommend as a wedding venue.

A little underwhelmed after hearing good things from friends. Food was good. However service didn't come across as particularly friendly (when we ordered cocktails the girl at the bar didn't seem too pleased) and when we tried to use a gift voucher my wife overheard heard staff saying to each other 'is it even in date '. It was also annoying having a dog (which I assume lives there) walking around the restaurant and staring at you while you were eating. Appreciate it's some people's cup of tea but not mine and sort of spoiled the meal. So overall good food, but didn't feel particularly welcome and wasn't as enjoyable as we hoped.

A traditional pub of two halves - the upper bar area and a lower restaurant... though you can eat in the bar area. Menu has a good range of classics as well as specials - we had a chicken schnitzel and a monkfish stew .. rare to find this fish on a menu and it was delicious. Too full to try the desserts - note to self.. Next time have a starter and THEN a dessert! Good list of cocktails and a variety of gins. So, a worthy destination for a walk. It gets busy even through the week, so recommend calling them ahead.

We were a party of five visiting for the first time on what seemed to be a quiet Friday evening. The food was very good quality, cooked and presented well and very tasty. Service was relaxed but attentive. Highly recommended.

Really pretty pub, food was lovely, however i ordered the beef melt and it was extremely small. 2 slices of beef with melted cheese on the smallest slice of toast. It does come with a very small portion of chips, but I did expect more for the price. Service was ok, could of been better considering we was the only booking in the pub.

Called in here as an off chance midweek lunch. What a great value lunch. Friendly service, hot food & as it was a Wednesday they have a 30% off (Wed & Thu) More importantly the food was really tasty & hot. Will Definatly be back.

A beautifully prepared and cooked Sunday roast. Couldn't fault it. Clearly individually cooked, not pre-prepared or produced, and the flavours were superb. Special mention of the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage! My sister had the nut roast which got the best thumbs up from a veggie! So good, we're back on Thursday for another lunch from the weekday menu! It's a real find. Do try it.

An enjoyable meal was had at this favourite location. No starters and straight into main courses for everyone. Spoiled slightly by the over seasoned jus ( I have zero salt in my own cooking so this may make me a little sensitive to any hint of salt in any cuisine) Some of our party decided to choose the blade of beef for main course which was beautifully prepared. Everybody enjoyed their choices and were talking excitedly of the next visit. We have always enjoyed our visits here, hence our decision to book on this occasion . The service as usual was relaxed but attentive and food and drinks were equally enjoyed and arrived in a timely manner and we all (4) look forward to our next visit. Thanks.

We stumbled on this pub out for a walk and thought it was a lovely place to stop with the dogs. There are nice shaded tables out in the beer garden, with a little doggy water area. All good. First time we went, we were buying drinks at the bar and a guy who introduced himself as the manager gave us some menus to show what food they do. He did mention multiple times they weren't doing food currently, as it was past lunch. Really selling the place i was impressed with the enthusiasm and it was all good as we weren't looking for food that day anyway. Fast foward a couple of weeks, it was my wifes birthday and on a wednesday they have a 30% off deal food all day. We went for a 2 mile walk to get there with our dogs and wanted to sit in the garden for lunch and a drink. When i asked for a menu the same manager told me that they wouldn't be serving food in the garden as they didnt have enough staff, it was fairly quiet with some diners in the restaurant. We only had the option of sitting in the carpark in direct sun, only two tables and the parasol didnt work, or the cramped bar. We tried both, but the off leash dog (owners maybe?) was causing our dogs not to settle, so i handed the menus back to the manager as said we would only have drinks in the beer garden. Tbh he didnt seem to care we were having a mare, and in my opinion he had a couldnt be arsed vibe about him even though he has seen all this happen. There wasn't one person in the beer garden, so not sure why he couldnt have offered some sort of solution. We were both left frustrated and my wife left with no lunch on her birthday. She was looking forward to it, so it was a big letdown The experience has put us off considering eating there in the future, which is a shame as the food seemed decent.

Excellent food, very nice location, decent service considering how busy they were. Even better, discount offered on Thursday!

Lovey pub staff very welcoming. The food was lovely and the decor was beautiful! I wish there were lighter options on the Sunday menu as I don't always want a big meal - but that's just my preference.

Beautiful village pub, very peaceful, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Dogs are allowed. The owners dog says hello to everyone and loves a belly scratch! The menu is great, with 30% off all food on Wednesdays and Thursdays! Will be going back to sample their Sunday lunch menu and breakfast menu! If you fancy a stroll afterwards to work off lunch or dinner, there is a beautiful walk around nearby, that takes you through fields and a forest. Come out of the pub, turn left and walk right to the end of the road. You should then see the signs for the walk.

We booked an early dinner (6:00 pm) to celebrate our eldest son's birthday as he had an early start for work the next day and Nanny doesn't like to eat too late! We had a lovely oval table with plenty of room and comfy seating for all 5 of us. The decor was very tasteful. The menu had a good selection in all areas so everyone was well catered for. The food was good and plentiful - the steak pie was very filling and the jam sponge very generous. The service from the young waitress was excellent - polite, efficient and all with a friendly smile. All in all we enjoyed our visit to The White Hart and would recommend it to others. It has a good range of events planned and, as the weather improves, a nice outside area.

The White Hart is a quaint village pub, it’s also a great wedding venue and the staff are amazing. I have photographed 2 weddings there now and I can highly recommend it for your special day.

My best friends wedding was hosted here on Friday 17th Feb 2023 & it was INCREDIBLE!!! All the staff were so accommodating, helpful, friendly & always willing to go the extra mile. Nathan cooked the food & it was absolutely delicious - we went up for seconds! Bar staff were on it, never waited more than 30 seconds to get served. It was everything you could want & more. Thank you so much to Nathan & all the staff! 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding, function, or even just a meal out after a stroll.

One of my new favourite pubs. Have been in a few times since moving back to the area. Perfect for a pint in the bar or special occassion dinner. Want to try the roast dinner with the kids soon too. Have even started showing sport in the marquee too which is a bonus!

Overpriced menu very limited choice service poor until we asked for the bill it was there in a flash. Staff not fully trained on service at the table taking plates when someone is still eating.

Everything was fine. Food very good. Service was unsmiley. Felt like being served by a Sargent in the army. The only smile came when we paid the bill. It was efficient, but not friendly. I would certainly visit again though, for the food!
