The White Hart in Huntingdonshire

We have wanted to try the White Hart for a while and we got the opportunity this weekend. The pub is easy to find with lots of parking and it has a really lovely atmosphere inside and Nova the pup made my day! We love food so we’re keen to try it here. I usually try something standard to see how it compares so I ordered the cod and chips and my partner ordered the chicken burger. The fish and chips were probably the best I have ever had. The fish was flaky and juicy, the batter was crispy and light with a herb running through it and the chips were superb. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Many place say they do chips like this but rarely do they. There was a handmade tartare sauce too. The chips were magical! The chicken burger was hand made, a whole breast which was juicy and not dry and the fillings perfect! At the end of the meal we declined desserts and I asked if I could have a hot chocolate. Whilst they didn’t have any, the owner (sorry I didn’t catch his name) offered to pop upstairs and get some from his own home! There was 80s music playing and we loved our visit. We will certainly be going again. Thankyou White Hart and see you soon!

Fab food, great cider, lovey staff and awesome pub dog! Will definatly come again for a meal with friends.

What a fantastic night the food the service and the atmosphere was one of the best nights I have had

I heard about this pub and decided to take my mum for lunch. It's now our favourite local eatery. Superb service and fantastic food. We have even been on a Sunday for a roast. Exceptional.

Limited menu would have liked more choice meal was nice it was clean and the one staff we spoke to Olivia was very nice indeed

After getting caught in a heavy shower, we arrived like as couple of drowned rats, feeling very sorry for ourselves, and unsure if we would even be let in. We were met with the warmest of welcomes from the landlady, Lindsey. We were offered towels, blankets and jumpers, and while we couldn't sit inside due to COVID restrictions, we were given plenty of time to recover before we went out to the covered area to enjoy our much needed pints and roast dinners (followed by lovely warming puds). The food was good, the beer was good, but the hospitality was out of this world. To cap it all off, when we were ready to leave the heavens opened once again, so we were about to order an Uber back to our camp site, but Lindsey very kindly offered to drive us back (despite her being 8 months pregnant!). Thank you so much for the warm welcome, and sorry it has taken so long to write this!

Stop for lunch and was very surprised how good the food was. New people since last there. Very friendly with great food and large portions. Good beer also. Another place I have to stop when over there. Will be back!!!

So this is one of mine and my husband's local pub and we visit often. We decided to walk the dog around the village and pop in for a drink, ordered,no land lady about just a young lady serving not really interested in you as a customer, I accidentally caught my arm on my glass and the glasses smashed on the floor, there was not any sign of any staff, eventually a member of staff was in the bar, we had to ask for a dustpan and brush to clean up!!!! and a bin to put the glass in ,No offer from the member of staff to help clean up,didn't even ask why we needed it!!! So my husband and another customer cleaned up the glass and drink, that is appalling customer service!!! No offer of help from the 1 barmaid, we asked for a brush ,still no help, we will not be going back !!!! Very Very disappointing and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Wow loved this. Best Sunday lunch I've had in ages. Loved the fact there were only two choices. Made it so much more homemade. We had beef and pork. Fresh veg, yorkies and potatoes. Catered for my mum's allergies well and didn't mind my two yo wandering about. Can't wait to return. I also found the toilets and baby change area very nice and clean.

I’ve visited the pub a fair few times now for food over the last year and it’s been Fantastic food, Sunday roast I must say is brilliant and absolutely great chef and staff. Unfortunately the men’s loos have been missing a toilet seat since our first visit which makes it very awkward taking small children to the toilet. For this reason alone it’s taken it from 5 stars to 3. I can’t believe for months no one can change the toilet seat in the blokes. I feel for the gents who need to go and have to there. Awful! Such a shame as it really is good food but the lack of seat makes me wonder why? And what else is going in touched.

We had supper here last night for the first time and were delighted. Two of us had the burger, one the fish and chips and one the steak. Everything was delicious, freshly cooked and served by really polite and professional staff. We will definitely be back!

We popped in to the White Hart before a wedding to have a light lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We only had 30 mins and were assured that the food would come out on time. Waiting for the food we had the opportunity to take in our tastefully decorated surroundings. There was a lovely feel to the place and people were clearly enjoying their food. We had ordered a couple of BLTs with chips and they were fantastic. The best BLT I've had for a while. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the salad with a gorgeous dressing was lovely. I wish we had more time to spend there and would definitely visit again. Thank you for your great service and fantastic food!

We came here on Sunday afternoon for a couple of drinks and an early dinner. We found the entire place very welcoming, the staff were very friendly and we found both the food and the beer to be very good. We will be coming back again soon!

Three of us meet up at a different pub for lunch every 4-6 weeks. As I live in warboys we decided to try The White Hart. We had a pleasant welcome and the the young chap behind the bar who took our drinks and food order was very attentive and professional . I had the Stilton and steak ciabatta with salad and coleslaw and ordered a side of thick cut chips. My colleagues had fish and chips and lasagne with salad and garlic bread. No complaints anywhere. In fact the ciabatta probably didn’t need the chips, but they were excellent. We had pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord and Abbott ale followed by a couple of coffees. All good. Nice clean surroundings, decent toilets. Well worth a visit, and as a local will certainly call again.

Visited our local again for early dinner. Menu is straightforward and not too fancy. It's nice to have a traditional pub food menu but don't think that the quality suffers, all of the food we had was well presented, well cooked and so tasty. Portions are generous too but great value. Chocolate fudge cake delicious, warm and not dry like some I've tasted elsewhere. Bar staff very busy but really friendly well done. Overall a great meal in a lovely pub and best of all we could walk home. Will definitely be back.

Came here for dinner in the week. The food was excellent, best nachos I've ever had! The chicken caesar burger and beef burger were amazing. Couldn't fit any pudding in, but the options sounded good!

It was very comfortable, the service was quick, the staff were friendly, the food and drinks were great! Especially good bar! Love the fruit ciders!

We have just had an extremely good lunch in the restaurant at The White Hart. We took our little dog with us as they are allowed in the restaurant as long as they are well behaved and no one else in the restaurant objects. A bowl of water was provided for the dog.

This is a very good very well priced food and drink. The staff run the pub in a very friendly manner. This is a pub restaurant that I would recommend, if anyone is near or in Warboys.

Our family group of 6 were staying nearby just for the weekend. We chose The White Hart to visit for lunch as it is a dog friendly pub. We sat in the garden and ordered both food and drink. When the very friendly barmaid brought out our food, she immediately asked if we wanted some water for the dogs. We had brought our own, but the offer was much appreciated.

Went for a 11th Wedding Anniversary meal. People were very welcoming and helpful. Menu was limited but found something to please us both. Food was nicely cooked and presented and there was a lot of it, way too much for my wife. Drinks are well priced and served by pleasant staff. If there is a slight downside, the restaurant is a little canteen’ish in appearance but clean with paintings adorning the walls and didn’t distract from the quality food served.

We pulled into the White Hart mid-afternoon in midweek only to be told by the barmaid that the kitchen was unfortunately closed because we were too late for lunch.

We popped in on Saturday 14th for a lunch-time meal. Pub was bright and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Starters were high quality and main course was very good and generously portioned but we still managed to squeeze in a dessert which was heavenly and beautifully presented. On the strength of this visit, would recommend whole-heartedly! Thanks to the staff at the WH.

The White Hart in Warboys has improved ten fold ! The menu is amazing compared to previous offerings and the new owners are breathing new life in to the village. FYI Sanford House is the Wetherspoons in Huntingdon ... 6 miles from Warboys, and ok if you like national chains, rather than proper English pubs!

Fantastic food, great staff, and brilliant events. It’s been revamped not long ago and is now very welcoming and family friendly.

Excellent food. Sunday lunch runs from 12 to 6pm. Evening meals are strong, with good variety. Desserts good. Bar snacks are strong too.

The White Hart on Warboys high street has seen some changes in the last few years - and much for the better! It is definitely the best pub to go to in the village and is popular with locals. Since the new owners have steadily brought this place into focus with presentable front and rear beer gardens and a nice refurbishment of the interior, this establishment is really starting to fulfil its potential. Of the food we ordered - which is all reasonably priced with decent portions - we enjoyed all of it! The burger with homemade coleslaw, steaks, pasta and haddock are all recommended and served by the pleasant waiting staff in good time. The only criticism I would have is that a little more attention needs to cooking of the steaks - eg rare/medium rare/well done. My steak , although very tasty, was a tad too pink to be a 'well done' steak. A minor quibble. We thought there to be a nice busy atmosphere, and it's really nice to see the new owners making a genuine effort to turn this place around. From our experience, we would recommend trying the White Hart in Warboys for something to eat and would definitely return. A very pleasant dining experience.

This restraint used to be good however its going downhill. Theirs a lack of choice on the menu and their starting to lose customers because of the better and cheaper Sanford House.
