Perfect country pub. Having recently moved back to the village, it’s been wonderful to find the White Hart being so well run. The landlords are amazing, friendly and accommodating. The chef is awesome, I have never had a less than delicious meal here and I’m so glad we have this as a local now. And Nova the dog is super cute and so well behaved. Highly recommended.

The food was 10/10 the service was friendly and warm and the Guinness was perfect

Warm welcome from the landlady. Lovely food and even the scampi was made by the chef! No frozen pre-made rubbish. And you could tell. Lovely batter-breadcrumbed coating, without that industrial denseness, and the scampi was beautifully cooked, firm, juicy and not dried out. They serve Inches Cider on tap, delicious. I just wish the volume on the music was a bit lower!

Visited for Sunday lunch. Friendly welcome and sat in a dining area. It was Baltic, freezing cold. Poor girl couldn't do much, but turning the heating on an hour before opening might help. I noted that the bar area was a lot warmer, which made me question their seriousness about offering dining. A star lost as for a Sunday roast lunch at their pricing, the portion sizes were adequate, but not to the level of competing locations. Adequate parking at rear, but uneven surface. Also step down into toilet, unlikely to be wheelchair friendly as doors and corners too tight.

Excellent meal with the family. The chef, Craig, did an excellent job. Very good wine suggestion by the barman, reasonably priced.

Soggy tempura confirmed by chef , frozen roast potatoes !!!!!! onions on a plate when asked for no onions for someone who is allergic and it’s freezing in there …I wish I went to Hartford marina ! Very disappointed.

Love the open fire in here, so cosy!! And the food is amazing only place in my area to serve a cheeseboard and that's my fave !!! Go and grab a nice drink and sit in front of the fire!!! Will always return here!!

I visited to have steak on one of the deal nights. The steak was beautifully cooked & throughly enjoyable, the pub was very generous with their potion size. The staff were lovely and the music played was a real mixed bag which I really liked. Once loved Songs, which I’d not heard in years and I feel this added to the overall experience. 10/10 I most certainly would recommend this pub.

Excellent lunchtime meal again with friends just before Christmas. Chef was very obliging and made some mushroom soup especially for me. Steaks and other meals were perfectly cooked with clean plates alround. Sticky toffee puddings and creme brulee absolutely beautiful. Thanks again for you kind hospitality.

Service was lovely, food to die for!

Food and service were excellent...we had the Sunday roast and you couldn't fault it! Well worth going... Only down side is the pub could be a little warmer in temperature...we will definitely be returning....

The atmosphere was so cozy in the hut-like restaurant and the service is kind and welcoming. I enjoyed the food as the cheese burger for example, is very delicious filled with flavour! 5 stars from me!

We have wanted to try the White Hart for a while and we got the opportunity this weekend. The pub is easy to find with lots of parking and it has a really lovely atmosphere inside and Nova the pup made my day! We love food so we’re keen to try it here. I usually try something standard to see how it compares so I ordered the cod and chips and my partner ordered the chicken burger. The fish and chips were probably the best I have ever had. The fish was flaky and juicy, the batter was crispy and light with a herb running through it and the chips were superb. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Many place say they do chips like this but rarely do they. There was a handmade tartare sauce too. The chips were magical! The chicken burger was hand made, a whole breast which was juicy and not dry and the fillings perfect! At the end of the meal we declined desserts and I asked if I could have a hot chocolate. Whilst they didn’t have any, the owner (sorry I didn’t catch his name) offered to pop upstairs and get some from his own home! There was 80s music playing and we loved our visit. We will certainly be going again. Thankyou White Hart and see you soon!

I heard about this pub and decided to take my mum for lunch. It's now our favourite local eatery. Superb service and fantastic food. We have even been on a Sunday for a roast. Exceptional.

Came here after reading the reviews and was slightly disappointed to be honest. Our starters of calamari and halloumi fries we lovely so were looking forwards to our mains. I had fish and chips with peas. My peas were so chewy and dry, They were wrinkled so obviously had been microwaved. My fish was bland and very very wet inside, which made swallowing very difficult as I just had a mouth of fishy water. We didn’t see a waitress to point out our issues. Once we had finished we sat for 15 minutes and still no waitress so went to the bar paid and left. With plates still on the table.

Food was great, although I had a double sta ked burger, can't remember the name but I was stuffed. Couldn't manage the chips that came with. The slaw was very nice. Nachos for starters left a lot to be desired, they were just some nacho chips with sauce. Not chunky guacamole or salsa. The burger was ace though.

The food was really good, comfortable setting and we had a pleasant evening.

Only went in for a quick drink but was welcomed like I'd been drinking there forever, lovely little pub and the staff and regulars were super hospitable, definitely a place to return to.

Good food and decent sized portions and would return for this Service needs to be considerably better however to justify price point.

Absolutely superb! My partner and I booked for Sunday lunch and all of the food was absolutely fantastic. Lovely comfortable dinning area that doesn’t feel too noisy even when full. We had mains and dessert and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will absolutely become a regular couple for Sunday lunch.

I feel really lucky to have this as my local pub. Great atmosphere, wonderful and varied menu. We met the new owners and staff and they were so lovely, and really enthusiastic about the pub. Already looking forward to going back for a drink tomorrow!

We have now been to eat here twice and I love it! The welcome is always very warm and friendly. The service is super effecient and the food is brilliantly priced and well cooked. Huge portions of really good pub grub. So good for our family gatherings. I highly recommend.

Great family garden with plenty for the kids with their own food and drinks bar plus a large covered area with plenty of seating.

A bit of diplomacy wouldn't go a miss. I respect the choice to carry on the covid restrictions if that is the way. How about a thanks for your cooperation rather than we reserve the right to refuse service and signs everywhere telling customers to obey the rules at all times. Because they reserve the right to walk past. It was little wonder the place was empty when I went in. Still quite a nice little pub though.

A lovely Sunday roast had beef and pork, beautiful home cooked, lovely place friendly and clean.

After getting caught in a heavy shower, we arrived like as couple of drowned rats, feeling very sorry for ourselves, and unsure if we would even be let in. We were met with the warmest of welcomes from the landlady, Lindsey. We were offered towels, blankets and jumpers, and while we couldn't sit inside due to COVID restrictions, we were given plenty of time to recover before we went out to the covered area to enjoy our much needed pints and roast dinners (followed by lovely warming puds). The food was good, the beer was good, but the hospitality was out of this world. To cap it all off, when we were ready to leave the heavens opened once again, so we were about to order an Uber back to our camp site, but Lindsey very kindly offered to drive us back (despite her being 8 months pregnant!). Thank you so much for the warm welcome, and sorry it has taken so long to write this!

Stop for lunch and was very surprised how good the food was. New people since last there. Very friendly with great food and large portions. Good beer also. Another place I have to stop when over there. Will be back!!!

So this is one of mine and my husband's local pub and we visit often. We decided to walk the dog around the village and pop in for a drink, ordered,no land lady about just a young lady serving not really interested in you as a customer, I accidentally caught my arm on my glass and the glasses smashed on the floor, there was not any sign of any staff, eventually a member of staff was in the bar, we had to ask for a dustpan and brush to clean up!!!! and a bin to put the glass in ,No offer from the member of staff to help clean up,didn't even ask why we needed it!!! So my husband and another customer cleaned up the glass and drink, that is appalling customer service!!! No offer of help from the 1 barmaid, we asked for a brush ,still no help, we will not be going back !!!! Very Very disappointing and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Lovely place for Christmas dinner!

Wow loved this. Best Sunday lunch I've had in ages. Loved the fact there were only two choices. Made it so much more homemade. We had beef and pork. Fresh veg, yorkies and potatoes. Catered for my mum's allergies well and didn't mind my two yo wandering about. Can't wait to return. I also found the toilets and baby change area very nice and clean.

I’ve visited the pub a fair few times now for food over the last year and it’s been Fantastic food, Sunday roast I must say is brilliant and absolutely great chef and staff. Unfortunately the men’s loos have been missing a toilet seat since our first visit which makes it very awkward taking small children to the toilet. For this reason alone it’s taken it from 5 stars to 3. I can’t believe for months no one can change the toilet seat in the blokes. I feel for the gents who need to go and have to there. Awful! Such a shame as it really is good food but the lack of seat makes me wonder why? And what else is going in touched.

We had supper here last night for the first time and were delighted. Two of us had the burger, one the fish and chips and one the steak. Everything was delicious, freshly cooked and served by really polite and professional staff. We will definitely be back!

They always make the Red Hatters very welcome each month. Good service, good quality and reasonably priced, especially the cocktails!!

We had a Sunday lunch. Plenty of very tasty food, all well cooked and well presented. The three girls that where working as bar staff and waitresses were very good and looked after our large party well. We will definitely go back again. If I had to give a minor negative comment, I would have liked a fruit crumble or similar on the dessert menu. That said a great village pub, just how it should be in this day and age.

We popped in to the White Hart before a wedding to have a light lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We only had 30 mins and were assured that the food would come out on time. Waiting for the food we had the opportunity to take in our tastefully decorated surroundings. There was a lovely feel to the place and people were clearly enjoying their food. We had ordered a couple of BLTs with chips and they were fantastic. The best BLT I've had for a while. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the salad with a gorgeous dressing was lovely. I wish we had more time to spend there and would definitely visit again. Thank you for your great service and fantastic food!

Nice place friendly staff nice outdoor seats in sunny weather. Only stopped there once as bus broke down but enjoyed 1 hour there. Would recommend it. Thanks. Patrick Bennett. Chatteris.

Three of us meet up at a different pub for lunch every 4-6 weeks. As I live in warboys we decided to try The White Hart. We had a pleasant welcome and the the young chap behind the bar who took our drinks and food order was very attentive and professional . I had the Stilton and steak ciabatta with salad and coleslaw and ordered a side of thick cut chips. My colleagues had fish and chips and lasagne with salad and garlic bread. No complaints anywhere. In fact the ciabatta probably didn’t need the chips, but they were excellent. We had pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord and Abbott ale followed by a couple of coffees. All good. Nice clean surroundings, decent toilets. Well worth a visit, and as a local will certainly call again.

It was lovely food but I couldn't eat it all. Hubby loved the steak.
