We chose to order a takeaway meal for our 32nd wedding anniversary due to the time of night. Each dish we received was disappointing compared to the quality we expect when dining in. We ended up disposing of the entire meal and opting for fish and chips instead. When I called to express our dissatisfaction, the lady who took our order mentioned she would pass on our comments to the owner and kitchen staff. Given this poor experience, we doubt we will return, despite having enjoyed the restaurant numerous times in the past.

Ordered on-line and collected. Most recent experiences include..... Salt & pepper Spare Ribs: 8-9 good sized very dry, over cooked chewy ribs. Nicely salted though, with sliced onions, spring onions & sliced red chillies.🌶 Curry, Beef: Loaded with thick slices of well cooked beef, big onions, ¼ mushrooms & peas in a THICK Chinese curry gravy. Can't fault the beef quality or quantity. Chicken Kung Po: Stewed chicken chucks, all the vegetables & cashew nuts in a sweet, slightly spicy glaze (not sauce). Lacking any real Kung Po flavour. 10p bagging fee & 90p service charge. CASH only. Ready on arrival & all small portions. ☆☆☆ Gromit Stanley Rating: 60-65% ADAQUATE

Sadly not a good meal. The soup was so thick and strong had to be watered down to eat. All the sauces so thick and stale. Meat obviously just added and not really cooked in sauce. So disappointed. However the staff were nice friendly and helpful

No wonder the place is so dead for a Friday night, even the phones for takeaway were quiet. looked online and found this place, drove 20 mins away for it, only to find the menu was a lot higher than online prices, wouldn’t mind paying this if the food was nice and portions reasonable. Was charged for prawn crackers when the bill was £90+ what happened to free prawn crackers, we paid £8 for 3 ribs disgusting and wasn’t even that nice, the chicken balls weren’t that nice, the rest was okay but portions not great for the price, when we mentioned the stuff we were unhappy about the woman was super argumentative about trying to justify it. And the bill come and the prices were higher than was the as on the menu agajn.
