The White Bull, Oswaldtwistle in Hyndburn

Regular customers and always had a fantastic experience. I contacted the White Bull, regarding a dear friends 50th birthday meal celebrations. Sean replied and was so accommodating in prepping and putting on an absolutely fantastic birthday taster menu dinner to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was everything my friend wanted and more. I cannot thank them enough and as always we will continue to enjoy eating at the white bull. Thank you for a fantastic evening and thank you for being so accommodating.

Lovely place, really nice food and varied menu. Good value.Cannot fault the friendly service. Would recommend highly.

The food was very good value for money. We both had 3 courses each, plus drinks and coffees. The Halibut was cooked just right and everything on my plate was very tasty, I will definitely be having it again. My husband said the steak and ale pie is one of the best he’s tasted. Very friendly staff (Callum) and the pub has a relaxed atmosphere.

Received vouchers as a Christmas present, just as well as we may not have discovered this gem. I'll not spoil the suprise as to how fantastic this place is, go and find out for yourselves.

Superb chef & front of house. Utterly refreshing to taste & behold. Family friendly, unpretentious & worth the visit. We went as a family with grandparents. Everyone ordered a different meal. The pie was the best I HAVE EVER had! I ordered the chicken, succulent & yummy veg & mash. The cheese pie looked like the sort of food I wished I’d never seen bc I’d want one at least twice a week. All presented beautifully. The service was excellent & the Hungarian lady in charge was brilliant at communicating. It was busy. I went to shake the chef - Sean’s hand. Anyone who cooks & presents food like that is outstanding.

We had lunch here today and it really good. This is a pub rather than a restaurant and menu is effectively a pub menu - fish and chips, pie and mash - but it’s all really good all done in a “homemade” style. There’s plenty of parking across the street at the church and nothing on the menu is expensive. I recommend a visit and while it was relatively quiet when we went I understand it does get busy so I think booking would be wise.

No enthusiasm,sat with food on floor which they were in no rush to clear up Food v good but not enough juice with the pork dish.

I arrived 15 minutes before my booking time and was met with wonderful helpful staff, we where quickly taken to our table where we looked over the fantastic and creative menu, after they took the food orders, there was about a ten minute wait for our stater. We all ordered off the Christmas menu and I am glad I did the parfait was fantastic, well sized portions and very well thought out flavours. after about 25 more minutes our main meal arrived I ordered the turkey it was one of the best pieces of turkey I have ever had, I usually shy away from turkey but I'm thankful that didn't. the portions of veg and roast potatoes was just right, there was the perfect amount of red wine gravy, to round up my fantastic dinning experience I ordered tiramisu which was the perfect blend of coffee and alcohol, all in all my experience at the white bull was outstanding and out ways any of the other local restaurants, I will definitely visit again.

We visited the White Bull last night and the entire experience was faultless. The staff are amazing, friendly and professional. Isaac is lovely. The food… again, amazing! We ate from the festive menu, duck liver parfait, sea bass and tiramisu, every course was delicious but the sea bass was the best I’ve ever had. Lovely cosy pub with open fires, lovely meal followed by a lovely cocktail! Can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu 😊

We were 10 minutes late arriving because of traffic holdups and oh boy were we punished for it. We got our drinks then we waited. We ordered. I am shellfish allergic and was told I couldn’t have chips because prawns were fried in the same pan as the chips. I settled for burger with mashed potato. The mash was obviously a scooped out baked potato. Only two staff waiting at tables and they were both very slow. So disappointed as this was supposedly to be a treat from my son and his partner. Never again.

Again a very nice intimate place for a spot of lunch and catch up with friends or family. A well stocked bar and the sandwiches were excellent all served chips and salad. The steak tea cake was scrumptious.
