The White Buffalo in Charnwood

Treated my mum to a mother’s day breakfast. the staff were very accommodating considering a member of our party was gluten free. food was amazing, as was the service, couldn’t fault it. definitely will return to try their full menu, and will definitely be a regular if they do breakfast again.

We visited for breakfast for Mother's Day, 6 of us in total. Hot drinks were tepid with no solution offered other than remaking more tepid drinks. Service was generally slow without it being busy, we had to suggest removing empties from tables to make room for the next drinks. Two of six meals were cold, with one having definitely been left a long time as the muffin was soggy and the hollandaise sauce had started to congeal. Didn't think it was worth bringing to their attention as the drinks situation had unfortunately not been resolved. Milk for tea also came in an espresso cup which seems odd to expect people to attempt to pour milk from a cup and not spill it. Would not recommend nor revisit again, think they should not offer breakfast as it must not be their strong point. Also, no brown sauce which is odd during breakfast!

Beautiful Sunday lunch in a lovely setting. Very busy yet service still excellent. A little gem that is well worth a visit or two.

We wanted somewhere local and always like to try new places. The White Buffalo as a really extensive menu, lovely food, friendly service and good value. We will certainly be going back.

9 of us thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. Roast Pork and Beef were of high standard and the deserts yummy too - sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Generous servings. It was lovely not to be rushed and service was excellent. Thankyou.

We went here for a girls dinner out & it was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing ( I had the chicken with flatbread with the best garlic mayo ever!) and the pudding was also gorgeous (rhubarb creme brûlée) the wine I had was so good I asked to take a photo of the bottle it was a great choice! The atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff were so friendly. I have booked to go back over Christmas. Deffo worth the visit & nice for shepshed to have a new and brilliant eatery!

Spent a lovely evening here with friends for the first time since it opened. Nice atmosphere. Really good menu choice had me changing my mind several times before ordering. Starter was Pulled beef bao buns which was delicious but would say too large for a starter, one would be enough. Luckily pleased I chose the sea bass main with nduja sauce also very tasty. Too full to have a dessert. Maybe make portions smaller so people order three courses? We all agreed we would return. Only criticism is the decor could be better, bit basic, could be more individual and inviting.

Very helpful staff. Had steak and it was cooked to perfection. Great pricing and a lovely cheesecake for pudding! Definately going again

Second visit today for Sunday lunch. Had been previously for the first time for dinner. I’m not sure how long it has been open, I think a couple of months but as far as I am concerned they have certainly started the right way. First visit I had the buffalo wing starter followed by the Memphis rub half roast chicken. Both delicious and plenty of it. Today was roast beef followed. By the sticky toffee pudding. The beef (roast sirloin) was spot on, veg nicely cooked and came with extra gravy. The others had the pork and roast chicken. Both generous portions. We all left stuffed and happy. The staff are very welcoming as soon as you enter and maintain a pleasant disposition throughout. The location is good and it has a large car park at the rear. I/we will definitely be going again, and again………

Rare Flat iron steak on a bed of ratatouille type Italian sauce. Delicious and tender with onion rings and fries. Jo had belly pork. Enough for her and leftovers for the dog.

Had a lovely lunch at the White Buffalo. There was lots of menu choice, the service was very efficient and really friendly. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. Will definitely return!

Good varied menu.. great service and food tasted wonderful. Can’t fault it. 2 drinks a starter and 2 mains £50.00. Went for most expensive on the menu.. cheaper options available ie pizza or burgers

Newly opened establishment. Payday treat. We booked a table last minute. Just the two of us. The place is spacious, freshly decorated with good parking at the rear. It took us a while to decide what to have because there where a few things we liked the sound of. My partner had the fritters and I had the firecracker chicken wings. The fritter was nice. Lovely seasoning and flavour. The firecracker wings knocked it out of the park for me. For mains it was the beef stroganoff and bacon chops. Again both dishes exceeded all expectations. The staff had a party of around 20 people to cater for along side other dinners. They managed it week. All very polite and customer focused. When the bill came it was a pleasant surprise. Including 4 drinks it was £68.40. Cheapest gin and tonics going. We are going to go back to try a few other dishes we like the sound of. We wish this place well.

A plus for the area. They’ve given a real uplift to what had become a tired environment in its previous incarnation. Service was bright, friendly and prompt and a very good menu for family, friends or couples, prepared and presented well (hot plates!). The combination of popular and traditional,with interesting (and from my experience clever and tasty) small plates was perfect. Well done.

We decided to try this fairly new local eatery and were most impressed. We enjoyed fabulous fish and chips - two for £20 on a Tuesday lunchtime. Other offers included Burgers two for £20 or two courses for £15. Drinks were reasonable priced. Thursdays offer two cocktails for £12! The fish was a really good size, great batter and chips were top notch too. My only suggestion would be to remove the bottles of vinegar from every table as it gave the appearance of a cafeteria which it most certainly isn't!
