The best value for money on the market.

Very pleased with my visit here on my Wetherspoons's tour. This one was the 471st that I've visited. Good breakfast with mushrooms and a hot drink for around a fiver. I had 2 pints of Peerless Peninsula for less than £2 each. Large frontage and close to Overpool railway station.

Came here on the off after visiting Ellesmere port. Lady behind the bar clearly looked distracted kept asking me the same questions. My partners burger was burnt so we sent it back. We all finished our brunches and she was still waiting around 20 no ins for another one. Eventually it came still burnt, the bun was rock solid she couldn't eat half of it and struggled all the way through. Definitely would not return.

Banging fry up, literally twice as good as so many posh cafes charging double the price.

Went for breakfast to initially be told the cook phoned in sick so no food. Shortly after food was able to be served (presume replacement found) but most of it was stone cold and they served moldy strawberries to my toddler

the food is allways cold and the staff allways get your drinks order wrong if you complain you could get barred for 3 months

Typical Wetherspoons. Nice later outside seating area up front. Good prices, good service, food and drink delivered quickly. Inside could do with some TLC in places but generally good atmosphere.

I regularly come here for meals. Always good food and great friendly service.

My friend and myself regularly meet here for breakfast and a catch up. The food is always delicious. The service is always super friendly and it's a nice atmosphere.

To all dog owners. Do not go to this pub because they do not allow dogs even outside. One of the staff informed us in a very rude way by showing us a sign "Guide dogs only". We will definitely not be going back there.

Always good for a breakfast.. Cheap beer cheap food actully rather well kept. Beer garden is nice in the summer.

I was looking for cheap and cheerful place to eat whilst in Ellesmere Port . Found this place just a short drive from Cheshire Oaks. Really nice place. Tables were clean as were the menus. I used the app on my phone to order. Very good service. Only downside was it was quite loud. Definitely recommend it if you are not keen on spending megabucks at Cheshire Oaks though.

Been a few times now always a good atmosphere. Prices are brilliant toilets clean and staff efficient and polite good place to go

Had breakfast there yesterday the business was quite busy for a Tuesday morning the food was served quickly. Louise the bar attendant went above and beyond coming from behind the bar to assist disabled customers and serving them with hot drinks as they could not manage the machine. Its not often you find bar staff coming from there comfort zone and engaging with customers well done Louise.

Great for a quick break and lengthy socialising

This is a pretty decent weatherspoons tbf, in here most days as working nights. It's your usal weatherspoons, so it's all about the cheap beer and reliable coffees! However, I will say I eat every Tuesday for the stake. It's one of the best stakes I have had in any spoons! The food is hit and miss any other day. But would definitely recommend the stake.

The reason I added this photo is it's a stone's throw from overpool train station, so it's a smashing meeting place If you're going to Liverpool or Chester in a group. Good selection of beer, and the food is good at a reasonable price. What's not to like. If you come by car, register your reg inside (there's a little computer pad and of course don't leave it while you disappear all day)

This isn’t the best Wetherspoons I’ve been in, foods not great, atmosphere a bit low key and you’ve got to pay to park your car.

I got a gourmet steak and asked for medium. I got it cremated style and no steak knife.

I've been to 15 Wetherspoons this year, and you get what you get. Food - great for the price. A decent beer selection. Must single out the service here though; Excellent.

Ordered a breakfast with work colleagues and they got their Order I didn't get mine had to watch them eat there's not funny over 25 mins and no real apology we come here every week for breakfast not anymore didn't even get an offer of compensation only a refund now late back to work as got to go elsewhere for food. Staff very unapologetic!!!

Lovely afternoon spent in the beer garden. Food was what you pay for. Cold cider was lovely. Outside area could do with a good jet hose down. But as spoons go it's a lovely big pub

Went for lunch with 6 other reprobates. Great service with a super efficient bar manager, most of us had food and no complaints there. How do they do the food and drink combined prices, so cheap.

Had the all day brunch with drink, absolutely lovely and such good value, the staff were helpful and the locals friendly.

Meal was ok BUT somebody needs to learn how to mix gravy granules. It was so lumpy it was off putting. Gents toilets need renovation ladies ok.

They don't welcome dogs which is a downer unless they are for the needy. A bit behind the times to be honest as other hostelries provide meals for dogs at a fantastic price.

Went for a meal with the family and I couldn't fault the staff especially the young man who was running the floor I think his name was Frazier his customer service was excellent. He is a asset to you company.

Mediocre food. Partner had gourmet bbq burger but it was a small burger cheese bbq sauce tomato nothing special. I had the.lon and herb chicken which was nice.

Long bar + side room + beer garden. Standard spoons. Good feel to the pub.

Standard Wetherspoons food - it was nice and the service was good. The pub itself was a nice big building with plenty of parking which was an added bonus. Will definitely go there again when I'm visiting Cheshire Oaks, which is just a few minutes away.

Alright as far as Spoons go. Always a jolly atmosphere and the toilets are generally clean.

Kicked us out from beung outside and for beibg teenagers and was very rude and lied would not recomend when we came back cause my mate has a fatel leg ingery and they theatened us with police

Not so customer oriented. Waited for 30 min for a pizza to go.

Very busy.. ordered over the app.. the food was really nice and good value for money.. I felt the staff didn't want to be there. And didn't interact very well with us.. we waited over 15 minutes for a drink to be brought to the table which they forgot.. not very clean in the place. No ketchup.. tables were not wiped

Visited this pub with my boyfriend, absolutely disgusting and awful staff are very rude, I will definitely not be visiting this pub again. Then to top it off a week later we have been charged a £75 pound fine, when we were sat in wetherspoons and using their facilities. Would definitely never recommend this pub to anyone!

Went in for a meal after a day out at chester zoo, nipped into Ellesmere port and stopped here for food. Next thing I know I've been CHARGED A £75 FINE to use their carpark. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS unless you want to get charged too. Absolutely ridiculous will be never coming again!

I have never heard the excuse of "the machine that makes fried eggs isnt working", ended up with bland, tasteless scrambled eggs 😨😲
