Visited today as a family group of 17, brilliant service and the food was really superb, and despite our group size all came out within a few minutes of each other. Service is super friendly and efficient. It helps this place is dog friendly too! Thank you, we will be back.

Amazing experience - Top of the game. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The place decorated stunningly for Halloween. Just loved the whole atmosphere. Staff very good and friendly too! Not to mention the delicious food! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks all.

First time visiting staff were very friendly and polite enjoyed meal and returned few days later for the Bogoff meal, as I usually have a McDonald’s but was far better with Burger fries and onion rings could not fault it will be returning staff very obliging.

Food was burnt and bitter. Had to send back steak and chicken. All the meat had a bitter taste. The speciality Jamaican stew I never seems to be available. No dressing on the ‘dressed’ salad. When asked about this, we were told he didn’t have any. Staff are pleasant but clearly understaffed. Disappointing.

Use this pub on a regular basis to meet with friends. Staff are always friendly , food is always hot and served quickly. Good value for money on the deals, have no complaints about this pub . Worth a visit

The place was really busy with many of the tables being reserved, we hadn’t booked and didn’t think we would be able to eat but the staff were fabulous and found us a table. We had a sharing barbecue platter, and my daughter had chicken mix. Even though they were busy and they had to squeeze us in the food came in record time. The food was absolutely amazing,really faultless. Do not miss this place. The only thing I would say is make sure you try to book in advance as it’s very popular and I can see why.

We decided to try this place for lunch when passing. We ordered the 2 for 11.99. We both had the sizzling hunters chicken. Both meals were served nice and hot and were very tasty. The lady who delivered our food was very nice. The mens toilets were not very nice. Stinking of stale urine. Other than that it's a good place to eat.

After an unfortunate mishap last week, we visited again today and couldn't thank Liam and his staff enough. Fantastic food, really helpful and friendly. We have been humbled by the friendly staff team we will be back. Highly recommend a visit

First time visiting the Wheatsheaf after hearing good reviews from family who had previously visited and rated highly. We were very pleased with the menu choices, we loved the big sharing platters and the kids menu was great. Our 3 year old son ate all of his food and dessert 🍨 Lovely, clean restaurant and toilets. Staff were great including Liam who was extremely helpful and service was quick. Food is a great price with deals on in the week so will definitely be returning 😋 .

Nothing good to say about the food on this visit, sunday roast was very poor....soggy tasteless vegetables, mash was awful, my wife had cheeseburger which was just a burger in a dry bun with a small blob of cheese....no topping or salad on it. One person serving at the bar all afternoon causing long waits....to be fair they did give me a free pint for having to wait so long on one occasion, nice place and hardworking staff but food standards have a lot of room for improvement.

When arrived and the place was quite busy and had to wait for a seat, sat down the the table was cleaned for us. After choosing what we wanted I went to the bar to order drinks and food only to be pushed in by what looked and felt like another employee or a fegular who kept going round by the till and checking her tab that had been made from another day or night, after waiting about 15mins for her to to whatever she was doing we ordered. Unfortunately there where no hotdog buns left so no hotdog challenge and there wasnt any steak and ale pies left. Not looking great at the moment. Me and son ordered the challenge burgers while my partner ordered the chicken dinner. I know the challenge foods take awhile so about 20-25 mins later all food came, oh dear the wifes chicken dinner felt like it had came straight out of the fridge as it was stone cold, this was sent back and still came back to us cold. By this time me and my son had eaten ours even though they didnt have much flavour as like when we had been before. My wife had a fresh chicken dinner made even though she didnt want one as we had finished. All in all the food is average but fairly priced, the place feels sticky, and there were a couple of regulars swearing in background too. I shall give this place a miss in future

The one thing that we remember about the place is it’s so child friendly .... it does get busy .... and you do get a bit confused as you sit at a table that’s “not reserved”.

This has been my favourite place to eat for awhile but after todays I shall not be returning one the order was wrong 2 mixed grills became 1 mix grill and just a steak grill by the time the 2nd meal had come out I had finished but then the chicken smelt off tasted funky I asked them to check the chicken and all we got was it’s alright it’s fresh very disappointed

Poped in today for lunch with my wife and daughter, Sunday lunch was beautiful and homemade , and service on a whole was okay ,but there was one table in particular that seemed to know the owner quite well , allowing them to walk behind the bar to pull their own drink and I presume put their food through when there were other customers waiting it even went to the extreme of talking there child (baby)into the back. As a customer I felt this was highly unprofessional and something that the management should reconsider. Otherwise I lovley place with great food.

The food is fine but the service is incredibly slow when sitting outside. We were told the reason for the mains taking so long is that they won’t start cooking mains until they know the starters are finished! We checked that it doesn’t take long for the puddings to arrive, but sadly, it still did. It didn’t appear to be busy. We wouldn’t return because of this.

Manager and bar staff were lovely and very helpful, serving staff were abrupt and not very pleasant. Main meals were very nice and generally cooked well but the desserts were not the greatest and overall opinion was that they lacked taste and seemed very much along the lines of cheap freezer shop desserts. We also ordered coffees that again lacked flavour and were very milky/waterey.

Friendly staff made our visit more pleasant, food was good, kids loved cookie dough pizza pudding!!!

Visited this place for my daughter's birthday. There were 3 adults and one child in our party. One bad thing about this place is the service is dire. Not enough staff and waiting 20 mins to be served when you go to the bar is not uncommon. The staff seem to keep disappearing to serve food. Child's chicken dinner was excellent. Fajita meal was average and served without guacamole which is a must. The rump Sizzler was ok and cooked as required. The ribeye sizzler was ok too but not very tender for a ribeye. We did have breaded mushroom starters which were very nice. Overall an average place to eat with slow service. Nothing bad but nothing great.

The currrent 'Senior' menu, aimed at people with smaller than average appetites, is a bargain at around a third of the price of the same items on the main menu. And there's veggie choices among the two starters, five mains and three desserts on offer Monday to Friday.

Mixed thoughts its a nice place drinks are ok table staff was pleasant but not very clean round the table, menu's was sticky service was slow but food was ok when it did come dont think i would return

First class, you just can’t beat there challenge meals. Even if you don’t manage to eat all of it, still very good value for the price.

Lovely clean pub. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Had two steaks on our ordered which unfortunately were overcooked however we didn't make too much of a fuss because they were really nice. Overall would recommend this place over other Greene Kings in the area

Visited today for lunch. Starter of garlic mushrooms was very nice. Ribeye steak on a skillet served with onions, mushrooms and chips. My wife had a so.ple chicken strips with chips. Chips were not very hot but other than that very nice. Good service from friendly staff. We think overall a nice place to eat the majority of the time.

Had lunch today and to be fare was quietly surprised had the surf and turf and it was cooked well the only problem I had was the cleaning when we got a table the table had not been cleaned there was food all over the floor off the last diners but the young lad who was waiting on did clean it up when I went and asked menus were all sticky and needed wiping even saw a piece of cucumber that had been dropped on the floor stepped over by one of the waitress would eat again but manager or manageress need to deal with cleanliness or they will loose customers
