My friend and I went to the Wharf, for lunch yesterday. It was a terrible experience. We ordered fish and chips, and steak and chips. The steak arrived first, and sat on the counter by the till as both waiters struggled to identify who the dish should go to. To put this into context, there were three occupied tables, including us. When they worked out it was for my friend it was brought over. We queried if it was still hot, the waiter responded with annoyance saying that of course it was. We countered saying we had watched it sit on the side. He said, ‘yeah, for less than a minute’. On we ploughed. We said ‘well, we’ve looking at it for 5 minutes, on the counter over there’. His response? ‘No you haven’t’. I then asked him to not argue with me. His response? ‘I’m not arguing’. Oh the irony. My friend asked for it to be taken back, and he grudgingly agreed. The same bit of meat returned 5 minutes later, and the only change was it was 5 minutes colder. She asked for another steak freshly cooked. My meal then arrived, which I ate alone. My friend’s meal arrived 15 minutes later, and it was finally hot and she ate it. However, she has texted me this morning that she started vomiting overnight. Presumably due to the meal, as she started feeling unwell once she was home and didn’t eat dinner. Have I mentioned the surly waitress who ignored me, then rolled her eyes repeatedly when I asked for condiments? Yeah, not a winning team. I suggest you don’t go there when there are loads of other options along the South Bank.

Always good food and nice service. would love to come back if I can find a way to book a table please :)

Encontramos este bonito restaurante después de un espectáculo local e incluso en una noche fría y húmeda de Londres era un bonito refugio con vistas al Támesis. Está limpio y el servicio es muy rápido, y los camareros eran increíbles, de primera clase. El menú era básico pero bueno y las hamburguesas excelentes. La lista de vinos es limitada pero adecuada y todo tenía un precio razonable. La zona de la planta baja estaba ocupada pero muy buena y la zona de arriba también se veía bien con instalaciones de baño muy limpias. Sin duda volveremos.

Mal servicio, comida muy sencilla y poca variedad de cerveza. Lo elegimos por la ubicación pero en realidad no merece mucha la pena. Es una lugar a pie Del Río pero si buscas un sitio acogedor con buena comida, este no lo es.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant per Zufall bei unserem Themse Sparziergang gesehen. Es hat uns gut gefallen und wir probierten es gleich aus. Sie haben eine nette Auswahl. Wir haben uns für die sehr leckeren Burger entschieden. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und der Ausblick direkt auf die Themse. Sehr empfehlenswert.

De traditionele fish and chips is een aanrader. Prijs is goed te doen. Weinig op de kaart, maar alles is zeer lekker. De burgers zien er heel lekker uit.

Cadre sympathique avec une belle vue, notamment de nuit. Et des plats simples mais très bons.Personnel à l'écoute.

We've been coming to this restaurant very regularly and every time we've been served by waiter Eimantas we felt very special, delighted,just perfect. It's a big thank you for him from us because his professionalism and behaviour just awesome!!! How ever food and atmosphere never disappointed us either.

Excellent food, served by friendly happy staff that couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. We also had a great view over the Thames whilst we dined for lunch.

Nous voulions manger un fish and chips traditionnel, c est ce qu Il était noté d ailleurs sur la carte ....malheureusement les frites étaient dignent du mac do! Les olives masserées en guise d apéritif sont très chères avec de l eau et aucun gout . Le personnel y est cependant accueillant et la vue sur la tamise très belle.

We were in london for the day for valentine's and was finishing up and looking for some where to end we stumbled across the Wharf it was by far the best part of the day !!! The food was exceptional the service even better !!!! Thank you for making a lovley day even better

Staring from the moment we came in! The place and a buzzing atmosphere, lively music, smile staff. Smelt incredible, before I ate I had already tasted some the delicious flavours. The steak 🥩 cooked to perfection as I like it! all the food arrived on time and piping hot! Desserts were finger licking!! Thank again for making our night special

Called in for lunch - we both had an amazing burger mine without bun - I’m gluten free . The lady who served us - Tathiana - was an excellent host - really friendly and attentive with a lovely smiley face. Should we be visiting London again we would definitely eat at The Wharf

The venue is great . It has splendid views of the Thames it's bright and airy. We used the upstairs room for my birthday with 30 guests it was just right. The staff were very helpful having rearranged the tables just as I asked them . The service was very friendly and efficient and Francis who looked after us even went the extra mile ( literally) as the coffee machine had broken down he went out to get filters so we could still have coffee. The food was good and freshly cooked. They didn't rush us so we could stay together and celebrate. Thank you to the whole team.

From beginning to the end. Our group received a very professional service, added with touch of humour and lots of fun from all the team. The views are astonishing. It a hidden gem in the south bank area. Everything was perfect. Definitively recommend for all kind of events from couple to Groups. During the dinner the food was hot and perfect, very tasteful.

Called in with my family seated quickly, menu on the website was completely different to what we were given but ordered anyway, starters were quick to come but mains took quite a long time my sausage and mash was really tasty the other 3 steaks were really nice according to my family, decided against dessert as coffee machine was broken, waitress was nice but service was extremly slow i think it took 2 hours just to get 2 courses.

Was underwhelmed with this restaurant to be honest. There's certainly a nice view over the river, and location wise it's good - within easy walking distance to the South Bank complex for example, or Blackfriars Bridge in the other direction. And our waitress was pleasant and friendly. But although our soup was lovely, the main courses were pretty average. Strangely for a restaurant, there was a really long list of dishes that weren't available that day. And it wasn't a cheap eat. So not bad but not great.

On a wet December evening, the Wharf offered us a warm welcome and superb hospitality. The staff are outstanding. They were relaxed and accommodating as we turned up in dribs and drabs. Everyone's food was tasty and well-cooked, and we had a brilliant evening.

Stopped in for dinner with friends. The food was delicious! Our waitress was called Petya. She was so polite and very helpful. We were impressed by the excellent service!

Not too busy on a Saturday evening. I had the halloumi burge and my partner had the cheeseburger both with skinny fries. Both burgers were delicious and the waitress was lovely.

I visited this nice place in February 2019 for a quick lunch before departure. Mussels were delicious, place with good atmosphere and view - you can see St. Paul's Cathedral from there, staff friendly and helpful

A very pleasant stop in November we could sit outside- make sure you get a blanket to sit on- in the sunshine by the river. Good coffee and pleasant waiter

Me and a friend had breakfast this morning at The Wharf.. The breakfast was gorgeous.. Lovely view over the river.. Friendly staff and breakfast was served quickly.. There was a bit of confusion over being able to use a Tastecard as on the Tastecard app as it didn’t say that it was only for use after 5pm but the manager was very good about it.. Felt bad as the way me and my friend ended up paying meant we didn’t get chance to leave a tip on our card.. Next time we are in London will definitely go there again for a lovely breakfast.. I had the Steak as my main which was very bland, the fries were almost tasteless - the staff seemed to want to go home and were waiting for us leave, giving us evils for every second we stayed after we had paid the bill.

I came to the wharf for an evening meal on an overnight trip to London. I had the beer battered halloumi for starter and steak for main course. Steak was a little over cooked for medium, it was more well done but was still juicy and tasty.

Tathiana is the best waitress ever! Food is amazing! Location could be better (closer to the tube) but great views. We will return for sure! Xoxo

Very bitter coffee and unable to get the waitress to understand or care. Won’t go back. They wouldn’t take the coffee off the bill even though we didn’t drink it.

Burger and chips and red wine served by lovely waitress in very pleasant atmosphere. Other reviews don’t bear this out. Not sure why. Thanks for a lovely afternoon

Good location with a nice setting. Unfortunately one member of staff was extremely rude. We came for a few drinks and a bite to eat. After one of our party ordered a half pint, a full pint was put on the table, when we tried to explain, we got a simple 'you ordered a pint darling' before the waitress hurried off without giving us a chance to respond. Also before we could finish ordering, she was keen to snatch the menu out of our hands.

Very rude server who was dismissive and poor at her job. The meat platter came and only had 4 small pieces of bread. The fish and chips was overpriced and as the servers were nowhere to be seen we didn’t get condiments until half way through the meal. The couple next to had already left due to waiting so long.

Easy-going but nice place in the charming setting of South Bank. Menu is limited but my fish and chips was nice, service was smiling and accurate, price ok for the area.

Hurrying along Southbank on my way to an Exhibition at the Tate Modern on a slightly chilly October day and urgently needing some lunch. Rain spats sent me into The Wharf. I ordered the fish and chips. Now many restaurants do fish and chips but this was sublime. Crispy fresh light batter, succulent fish, tasty sides of mushy peas and tartar sauce and a generous pile of delicious chips. I have had F&C; at Fortnum and Mason by the way and this topped that! I normally leave the batter but I ate every scrap of this. A window seat watching the world go by and perfect F&C;.

I just went to this restaurant and I ordered calamari and king prawns. The calamari was extremely oily, and the prawns were disgusting (no better way to describe it). We didn't eat much and we said to the waiter, asking the bill. He apologised but didn't even make a discount or any kind of compensation. The only good thing was a diet coke lol

Visited on Saturday with a friend and my husband. We were really lucky to get a table upstairs in the sun with beautiful views of the Thames. Mussles and Fries were fantastic with a bottle of prosecco. Service a little slow, but was busy and we were more than happy to sit in the sun and chat. Good food and wornderful location. Will return next time I am in London.

Sehr leckeres Essen! Absolut zu empfehlen. Unser Kellner Ednilson war der Allerbeste! Sehr freundlich, auch Extrawünsche waren kein Problem und dabei war er ausgesprochen humorvoll! Unbedingt hingehen!

Realmente me encantó el servicio. El personal hace un esfuerzo adicional aquí para cuidar de usted. Tuvimos un hijo de 4 años y recién nacido en nuestro grupo de 8 personas y nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos.

A great restaurant along the Riverside Walk on the Thames. Beata was our server and a lot of fun to interact with. The food was great. I had the steak salad and it was very, very good. We'll certainly be back on our next walk along the river.

It is located in the heart of tourist area. The service was good but the food was just average at best.

You are spoilt for choice around this area, but we sat down for lunch today and were so glad we did.

Waited an hour for 4 prawns and a small slice of bread for £8. The classic bruschetta was 2 very small bits of bread, chopped tomatoes and 1 basil leaf. Would no recommend this place.

This was a let down, service was horrendous, my bland Caesar salad came out over an hour late. I had to get up every time and walk inside for staffs attention. Needs help this place.

Had a fantastic meal and the service and view was excellent. Great value for money. Our waiter Alex went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. When we mentioned that it was our daughters 12th birthday he surprised her with a beautifully presented birthday cake! It was a perfect start to our family break in London.

I think we were forgotten, 15 just for drinks and then it seemed like 30/40 for small breakfast. When we chased them up it was still another 5/10 minutes. We ordered a bap with bacon and egg and for my daughter just bacon. The waiters english wasn’t great he said just bacon I twice clarified , one bap with just bacon and another with egg and bacon. After waiting all this time they brought my daughter a plate with two tiny rashers of bacon. ‍♀️‍♀️

Lovely location albeit noisy. Good service. We were however deeply disappointed with our moules frites in garlic and white wine. Smelt wonderful and redolent with garlic but 20% of the mussels had broken shells and they were very over cooked, dry and chewy. Frites were ok but arrived tepid.

Nicely situated with good views of the river from the terrace and upstairs dining area. We sat on the terrace on a very sunny day. The service was somewhat slow getting drinks and food ordered ( 15 mins wait ) however the food when it came was delicious the warm steak salad was beautiful and the salted carmel profiteroles delicious. The service getting the bill was again slow.

Friendly and prompt service, delicious fresh food with a wide choice and tasty desserts. We sat on the terrace, it was a sunny day and it was really very pleasant. The wine was good too. Lovely, lively area.

My wife and myself were up there for my birthday this weekend,called in here Sunday and were really pleased we did.

I had dinner on the 28th and it was lovely. I started with bread and oil/balsamic vinegar dip. The main course was tiger prawn,avocado and chilli salad. It was really nice the chilli gave it a nice zing but not too spicy. Tathiana served me and she was friendly and efficient. I ate outside as it was a warm balmy night and had a G&T; to go with the meal. Thanks The Wharf a nice dining experience.

The food was lovely. The price was reasonable. The staff were extremely helpful as I was in a wheelchair and was looked after so well by Chelo.

Don’t be fooled by the limited menu choices as what you get is hot, well cooked, tasty food. Maybe a greater range of fish dishes would be good but you can feast on mussels and excellent sea bass whilst protein eaters can opt for excellent lamb steak.

The Wharf is a hidden gem in London's Southbank area. Well priced, great food and great service provided a lovely place to catch up with friends. Sunday roast is massive and one of the best beef roasts I've had here.

Being Londoners we are sometimes a little sceptical of visiting restaurants and bars in typically tourist areas.

The restaurant has a very nice scenic view, we asked to go upstairs for this, however this was unavailable as I believe you need to book. The food is a bit pricey but very well done. Service was a bit slower than expected but good on the whole. As a restaurant I feel it is perhaps 7/10

A great location overlooking the Thames. We had a very good lunch - fish for me, burger for my wife. Very helpful staff. Would happily visit again, perhaps next time in the evening.

Visited The Wharf while on business because my colleague and I wanted fish and chips. They had a limited drink menu but what they had was good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We both had the fish and chips, the fish was nicely cooked and was plenty for a meal. It is also a nice place to people watch as it is on the river walk.

On our second day in London, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Wharf on their upper, outside deck. The weather could not have been more perfect as was also the service. Rukaiya took great care of us. We shared a Super Food Salad and Fish & Chips. The fish was perfectly prepared - so lightly fried and crisp. The salad was outstanding. We enjoyed glasses of wine (Pinot Grigio) and also Profiteroles for dessert. Two thumbs up on a lovely dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything excellent, staff, food and price. Definitely worth a visit whether you want a quick snack or full meal when on the South Bank.

A lovely summers evening along the South Bank and The Wharf looked just what we were looking for. Casual and relaxed with good food and drink. Em. Not quite what we got.

We came in for some cocktails and after we were seated, we were informed that we could only stay for 30 minutes. This was despite the fact that it was 4.30pm and not dinner time, most tables were empty. We were served flat Aperol Spritz, it was rather disappointing. In conclusion, poor service and poor quality drinks - would not recommend to anyone. It seems to attract only tourists walking along the South Bank, in other words, a tourist trap.

I ordered the traditional fish and chips - which actually came with fries, so not very traditional, for £16.95. My partner ordered the king prawn and avocado salad which was initially served without avocado. The food was very disappointing for the price. However the service was fair and the location divine. I wouldn't return.

Awful Sunday roast, slow service, tons of empty tables but waitress said “no” for two of us to move to a four-people table in the shade also I was with my 67-year old mum and asked to move for her sake when the sun came out. Tables stayed empty the entire time while we were there... Huge disappointment. Never again.

Incredibly poor service, everything takes forever and the food quality is below average at a far too high price.

“No. No. You cannot sit there. You cannot stay more than 20 minutes. Your kids cannot bring their scooters. No....”

Visited the The Wharf the other Thursday evening, partly for the attractive location but mainly because we were looking for somewhere to sit and eat and it was slightly more than half empty.

Stopped in for lunch whilst walking along the river. Good menu choices and the burgers were very good! Would definitely recommend the Halloumi burger.

Called here for lunch, seated outside as soon as we arrived, no booking needed. Good selection on the menu, can recommend the mussel pot for starter, big enough for 2 to share. Halloumi burger with fries for main was delicious, our waiters favourite he told us! Friendly and prompt service. Reasonable price for riverside restaurant on the south bank of the Thames. Nice restaurant with perfect location on the south bank of the river Thames. The place is close to the National Theatre and the other South Bank attractions.

Outside was very busy given the beautiful day so managed to find a table for 8 inside. We were served quite promptly and our drinks orders taken, unfortunately they had run out of the only bitter they had so had to resort to the lager. They had also should out of the Italian meat stater which was a shame. Had the broccoli and gorgonzola soup which was wonderful followed by the rib eye steak which was ok. Others had the moules marinade and fries which all said was a good choice.

We had a lovely lunch outside watching folks stroll the quay. I had tuna Niçoise salad and my wife had moules and frites both delicious. A nice bottle of wine made for a great afternoon!

Despite it being busy, we were okay just to have drinks, as we had a large lunch.

Lovely views in the beautiful English sun - waitress lovely but we waited over 40 minutes for our breakfast - sausages hot and bacon cooked perfectly but beans cold eggs over cooked - such a shame and probably won’t visit again - I think under staffing and a chef that can’t time manage the cooking of food is the problem but the poor waitress was doing her utmost best in a bad situation

Nice table on the balcony but food choice was extremely limited, glasses were a bit suspect and the toilet cubical needed a good clean. That said, service was ok and the view was great.

Direkt am Wasser gelegen mit Aussicht auf den regen Schiffsverkehr - ist eine Rast wert. Essen gut, Bierauswahl auch gut. Der Pub ist offen und luftig gebaut und an langen Tischen mit Bänken könen auch grössere Gruppen Platz finden. Zu warmen Zeiten ist es möglich draussen zu sitzen und so das Bier zu geniessen.

I can't speak of the quality of the food on offer as the staff wouldn't let me in the door due to my Guide Dog. Even after being advised that it was illegal to turn me away the owner stated that 'it is my restaurant and I don't want you in here;. I have never been so disgusted. It's not the first time I have been treated this way and I'm sure it wont be the last. But you should be aware before you eat at this restaurant that they openly discriminate against disabled people.

We never got past the starter and a couple of Camden pints. And they even forgot the additional olives we had ordered.

My partner and I had been on a speedboat cruise of the River Thames and wanted to go for a quiet drink afterwards. It was Easter Bank Holiday weekend, the sun was shining and everybody was out making the most of the weather, eating or drinking at some of the bars and restaurants along the River Thames.

Always leave happy and full when visiting The Wharf. From the location to the amazing view at night to the friendly staff and the mouth watering food at the restaurant, it never disappoints.!! thanks to the team for an amazing night!!
