Thank you for being so accommodating tonight we had a lovely time!

Went in for a late night drink after a busy day at work, got made a lovely pimms and lemonade where the kind man at the bar gave good speedy service and let me choose the fruit that went in my drink. Also got some puddings which were great! Great atmosphere and kind staff!

Went for breakfast with friend. I had fruit with Greek style yogurt. Was very nice.

i was in this spoons on a quiet tuesday evening, I was only drinking a lemonade and eating some food with my friends. we were all asked for ID however considering i was not drinking i did not bring it. The waiters were both exceptionally rude and told me i had 15 minutes to eat drink and leave. Then the waiter (curly hair, glasses, no more than 5’8) split my drink across my phone and lap. Once this was replaced, i only had 5 minutes before i was asked to leave. This is not enough time to consume an entire pint of lemonade and tried to explain this to the other waiter (average brown haired short man wearing a salmon shirt). His response was that it was a courtesy to replace my drink in the first place and had to leave still. My phone is now broken with no action being taken to repair it. not worth the sticky toffee pud or lemonade

This wetherspoons had the same great prices on food and beer as the chain is known for. However, I found that this wetherspoons actually had a bit of a friendly vibe compared to other ones I went to. It actually had more of a proper pub atmosphere and feel. There is a public parking lot across the street where you can pay to park. The bathrooms were clean, the service was fast and friendly. Having said all that, I would recommend that you visit one of the many historic pubs in Canterbury before you come here. They just can't match the feel of a real pub.

Superb ale festival on when we popped in yesterday served by the always friendly Gary. Love the pizzas and my partner had the big smoke burger which was absolutely delicious! Fantastic value for money😀

When one of my mates was ordering some alcohol, the man serving us demanded that all three of of us at the table show ID- even though it was only one person ordering alcohol. My other mate, who *wasn't* ordering alcohol, didn't have ID with him and so the server refused us alcohol after the cocktail. This was very weird because: 1. I had no idea about this policy. Never before has everyone on the table been required to show ID for only 1 person having alcohol 2. My mate without ID clearly didn't look like a child; he had a bushy beard and was tall. What more do you want? 3. The man actually came across as quite cold. I didn't like him. There was no need. However, the woman who served our food was lovely. And the dinner + dessert was nice. This pub also had a great atmosphere overall. So that stopped me from giving lower than 3/5 stars

This is a cosy 'Spoons' in comparison to others, with multiple smaller seating areas which offer a quieter more intimate environment to meet with friends and partners. The interior is warm and inviting and the overall appearance is smart in spite of the many customers coming and going. All the usual beers, wine, liquor and food you come to expect at Weatherspoons and at amazing prices. Recommended

Well positioned for our stay. Had a nice breakfast here to set up a day's sightseeing. Good value, you know what you are getting at a spoons.

Temperture outside was minus 1 & inside they had the aircon on blowing through all the ceiling vents. No heating on at all. I personally asked a member of staff to please turn the cold air off & all i got was a blank look. Totally stupid.

It's Spoons, love em or hate them, I love the prices and choices, can't go wrong.

Perfectly reasonable Wetherspoons, good value and popular. Historic building near city centre. Visited for lunch, ordered via app, prompt polite service, food fine for price, all four lunches enjoyed. Wide ranging menu and drink selection. Convenient, quick, good value drink & food.

They won't let you in if you have a jar of chicken korma sauce in your bag. Yeah, because I'm about to chug it in the loo. I get the rule of "no outside food" but maybe some common sense would be appropriate? The Bishop's Finger around the corner were more than happy to let me in.

As good as a spoon can get. Clean and better than most of the chain.

Very cheap drinks and good quality food at a great price too. Why anyone goes to the cafe rather than here is beyond me. Not the most exciting venue but it does what it says and is a good meeting place.

The staff were very friendly and polite and offered a good level of service. The food was great and very reasonably priced. The pub atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

Arriving tonight with my 21st year old son and the security person asked for his ID… we had to go back home to pick it up. When we left 2 young girls came in and he didn’t for their ID… wouldn’t recommend that restaurant

A busy wetherspoons in Canterbury, food was excellent and they have a good selection of drinks, sadly they didn't have any boxed ciders like old Rosie or black dragon on this visit, a great place for breakfast lunch or dinner whilst exploring

Wetherspoon is a fairly well-known British "ready to eat" chain, an equivalent of "Flunch" in France. Little extra: you can order at the table using the app and a waiter will quickly bring you your order. The application works on French cell phones which is remarkable because this is not always the case in other restaurants in the region.

We enjoyed our visit and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service and the food was good. We felt uncomfortable by comments made by people who were near to us and those made as we left the Inn. The facilities were clean and otherwise satisfactory.

Terrible Customer Service at Wetherspoon in Canterbury I recently visited the Wetherspoon in Canterbury and had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. I arrived at the bar at 00:55, just before closing time, and ordered a drink. The barmaid was about to prepare my drink when another staff member, who seemed to be in charge of the Bosch, decided to keep her busy with other tasks. He clearly saw that I was waiting, but instead of allowing her to serve me, he deliberately distracted her until the clock struck 01:00. When he finally came over, he told me that the bar was closed and refused to serve me. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. It felt like they went out of their way to avoid serving a customer who was there well before closing time. If they didn’t want to serve drinks after a certain hour, they should have just said so instead of wasting my time. I left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. I won’t be returning to this Wetherspoon, and I strongly advise others to avoid it if you expect any kind of decent service.

This is definitely a very nice pub to go to. One of my favourite watering holes, stuff are brilliant.

The place has a nice welcoming atmosphere but the food was cooked in old oil so the taste was not up to their normal standards. Wasn't impressed with the attitude of the manning told about it.

Had a good meal for all four of us I had the American triple burger and came with Onion rings and fries had an extra bowl of chips free pint within the price good meal just about finished it all four of us was £46 all drinks included

4 years ago I found a red-like-chemical looking substance in my food. I had problems with people apart of a cult conspiracy from a shared property and I have been told that staff that work here are connected to the cult. If it wasn't for me realising the red chemical looking thing in my food. I fear I would have been poisoned. This needs to be exposed. Bei Whetherspoon weiss man was man bekommt - rustikale Pub-Atmosphäre und günstiges Pub-Food und Getränke. Der Laden ist ziemlich gross, wuselig und rustikal mit Holz eingerichtet - also irgendwie ein typischer englischer Pub, aber es ist eine Kette und man kann gut&günstig trinken und Pub-Fast-Food essen. Kann man immer mal machen auf einer England-Rundreise. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es hier ausreichend Auswahl. Keine Haute-Cuisine natürlich, sondern deftig und reichhaltig. Gehört für uns aber dazu in einem England-Urlaub. 5,90 Pfund für zwei halbe Liter Bulmers Red Berries ist natürlich kaum zu toppen. Der Laden hat eine wirklich umfangreiche Karte an Getränken und Essen, und nichts davon ist wirklich teuer.

Was very busy when we arrived, but was made to feel welcome

Very affordable pub with tasty food, located conveniently. They have good seating options and prompt service. We tried their traditional breakfast and American breakfast. We also got a small fish and chips take away as well. Everything was tasty.

Was here last night. 2 disabled girls needed the toilet, the kid manager told them it was up to them to move the tables out the way to get there. He then band them from the pup when one of them said she couln't from a wheelchair!

Better than your average spoons

Food and service here are excellent. Always a warm welcome. Great menus. Both breakfast and main meals. Coffee with free refill when bought with a meal. Nice selection of ales, spirits, and wine.

Came for a drink, the beers were good and well served, the cocktails were also good. Regarding the dishes, the burgers were OK but they lacked taste and the steaks were very cooked, but that's still OK for this type of establishment.

Our little party of 4 included two German friends who were experiencing the pub culture in England for the first time. The place was what I would regard as a typical, standard pub in town. It was relatively quiet but there were still a number of people enjoying their "elevenses" here. We partook in a number of free refills before one of the cheerful waitresses came by to offer us free beer! Yes, free beer! Apparently they had just had their beer taps checked and the beer they pulled was there to be drunk. Well, we drunk it! Suffice it to say that I had to carefully explain to my German friends that they shouldn't expect this at every hostelry we planned to visit over our 48 hour lightning trip to England. But it certainly left a very significant impression on them (and me)! Thank you!
