Great place to eat. Many thanks to the lady of the cafe. who hugged me when I asked her if she came from Lancashire. Indeed, it was Burnley. She was a great sport and reflected on the friendliness of the Cafe. Many thanks to her. I hope the business continues to prosper.

We struggled to find somewhere in brixham that had scones available for a cream tea when we found this little place.Between us We had fruit, plain and cheese scone cream teas. The scones were big, fresh and tasted lovely. My favourite was the cheese scones which came with large chunks of cheese, plenty of butter and a really flavourful chutney.Great value for money, wish we had found this place in day 1 of our holiday as we would have gone back.

It's very telling when locals frequent an establishment. This is very much the case in the West Country Deli which has a real community feel to it.The Deli clearly has regular customers who take advantage of the excellent food and service on offer. We visited the Deli nearly every day during our stay in Brixham. We bought lunch to take to the beach. Aside from the lovely food we were given some good suggestions as to what we might like. If you are after good food with friendly and efficient service then maek sure you visit the West Cuontry Deli!

We decided to pop into this establishment as we popped in the day before and saw all the local products they supply. As we were going for a longer walk we needed a nice filling bite and decided to purchase a bacon sandwich. We were taken back by how much bacon was put in the sandwich which was more than enough and the value was perfect. The woman behind the counter was really nice and friendly and very informative as she gave advice on the other places to eat at. It is well worth a visit.

We popped in to the West Country Deli at the weekend. It was approaching closing time but Alice, the owner, was so welcoming. The teas, coffees and homemade cakes really hit the spot! Not only delicious food but also excellent customer service. And tea in a pot with a proper cup and saucer! We also bought some fab bits from the deli for dinner that evening and I bought one of Alice's hampers for a birthday gift for my friend. I would highly recommend this café and their deli. We will most certainly be back and I now know where to go to buy my Christmas gifts for friends and family. Thank you!

You know how it is. When you're in Devon you just have to get round to a cream tea! Visiting Brixham on a beautiful day we were feeling a bit done in when we landed outside the Deli. Just looking for a sit down a cup of tea we noticed the very reasonably priced cream tea and went for it. We shared one with an extra cuppa and it was divine. No hanging about. Oh! The clotted cream was as thick as butter and tasted heavenly. Very good value and very enjoyable.

Back from Switzerland in our second home in Devon I was looking forward to popping into the Deli for having a nice cup of tea and buying as much of my favourite fruit tea as I could get to rebuild my stock at home. I didn't know that the Deli had been taken over by a new owner in the meantime and "my" tea wasn't sold anymore!! So I found myself sitting there, bitterly disappointed with a cup of peppermint tea, when the new lady approached smiling with a half full packet of my beloved fruit tea bags, left over somewhere in the storeroom, witch she offered me for free! Eventually I was even more happy about this generous kindness than about the present itself and shall go back to the Deli for sure (even for another cup of peppermint tea)!

Visited this lovely Deli in centre of Brixham, nice staff, but I was so disappointed in the Cheese & Bacon Wrap (which i paid nearly £5 for) - it was beautifully hot, but the bread was so dry it made it quite unpalatable and had to force it down as I didn't want to waste it. Washed it down with a pot of tea which helped to take away the dryness. There was no garnish or anything served with the Wrap - I did expect something a little extra having paid nearly £5, there are places that serve sandwiches for same price with salad garnish and a few crisps on the side, but this was very basic.

Service very slow despite only two other tables occupied, in excess of 15 minutes for two teas and a scone. When it arrived the scone was small and not very pleasant, it had been warmed in a microwave (without asking us) and the result was a very sorry, soggy scone. Reading other reviews our experience must have been a one off, but it was a first visit and has left a very poor impression.

It was a very cold winter's morning and I had half an hour to kill whilst waiting to attend an appointment, normally I'd fill the time looking around the shops but on this occasion it was to cold so I bought a paper and started looking for somewhere warm to buy a coffee. Like most places these days Brixham has its fair share of coffee shops but frankly, none of them seemed very inviting. Until, that is, I found the West Country Deli. The interior looked warm and inviting, the young man and woman working behind the counter had big smiles on their faces and the decor was bright and cheery.I had a superb cup of coffee and will definitely be returning for another.

The West Country Deli seems busy whenever we walk by and a light lunch here on a relatively quiet day offered an explanation why. It's very good. An interesting range of sandwiches and similar snacks: everything we tried tasted fresh and good. It's the sort of place where you get offered a choice of three breads for your sandwich and where my wife was told not to hesitate to specify which cheese she'd like in her baguette next time we go. Prices were very good for the quality. There's a good if slightly limited range of deli-type items crammed into the relatively small space available, with some nuggets amongst them. For Brixham, it seemed almost exotic! Friendly, helpful staff. We'll surely return.

I was whizzing around Brixham viewing houses and just needed to relax with coffee and cake... The Estate agent recommended Westcountry Deli, I was so impressed with the welcome, loverleee staff, clean, bright, and super atmosphere. Two women, sang its praises as they were locals and frequented the deli often, stating that the coffee was the absolute best... Later I discover they sell fair trade coffee and other FT produce. I devoured my coffee and could not finish my fruitcake which was yummy however a kind staff member offered to put in bag for later... Great first visit 'Perfik' as Pa Larkin would say ;-) Finally I was assured by the owner that they would cater for my Vegan daughter the following day, so after another day of whizzing around viewing we dined al fresco at The Westcountry Deli and were uber happy with delish food and impressive service. The welcome and all those 'things' we value in eating out are very much in existence in The Westcountry Deli, daughter and I highly recommend it and I look forward to being a local and visiting regularly. Oh and the toilet was spotless, to some of us this is very important indeed. Thank you owner/s and loverleee staff, you so deserve success...

Always busy and buzzy, this great little deli does amazing Devon cream scones. The mocha coffee is the best in town.I pop in regularly for my fix!

Had a lovely hummus and salad sandwich and my partner had a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. Both were delicious! Highly recommend the multi seeded bread too. Great selection choice of wraps, sandwiches, salads etc for vegetarians. All food made to order so can add/leave things out as you wish. Really reasonable on price too.

Really nice cream tea with good service and extra jam / cream / hot water available as required. To be honest the scone looked less appealing than it tasted but it was delicious and the staff were great.

After unsuccessfully searching the harbour area for some scones, jam and cream we headed into town and found The West Country Deli. Ordered 3x Devon cream teas, although we were able to swap the tea for hot chocolates and coffee as none of us like tea! Each cream tea came with 2 large warm scones (raisin or plain), butter, loads of strawberry jam and lots of clotted cream. Really nice food and drink and a great little shop. Well worth a visit if you are in Brixham.

The shop has loads of local produce, jams, chutneys, honeys, etc. We then stopped for a cuppa, the locals seemed very friendly, as are the staff. Overall well worth a return visit.

Visiting friends in Brixham and wandering around the busy town centre streets we saw an empty table at The West Country Deli. It was in a superb position where we could watch the world go by and have a light lunch. The sun was shining nice and hot and I expected we would be paying for position with less quality food as is often the case. In actuality it was fabulous. The teas and latte were top quality as were the hot and cold sandwiches. Staff were genuinely polite, professional and friendly. Certainly recommend this deli and would happily visit again and recommend. We had three dogs who were equally welcomed. Many thanks to the pleasant staff. 5 stars.

EXCELLENT COFFEE & BISCUIT WITH THE COFFEE, so nice we stayed for two cups!! Very dog friendly staff made lots of fuss of our dog as did other customers coming in making a fuss of him. TREATS AVAILABLE FOR DOGS TOO which was a lovely thought and deserving of business. BEING NEW TO THE AREA AND HAVING BEEN TURNED AWAY FROM OTHER NOT AS NICE CAFES NOT DOG FRIENDLY it was nice to find a genuine dog friendly cafe. There is a step into the cafe which makes it inaccessible for disabled people and unsure if there is a portable ramp, didnt see a sticker on window saying there is one available? Something that can be addressed and advertised on website by owner which would allow us to come back with other members of our family and Im sure bring in other customers/tourists looking for accessible cafes.

Gorgeous cream tea and the scones were slightly warmed. Best coffee of our holidays and courteous staff. We can’t fault anything we had. We even stayed for another cuppa. If only we lived locally as I’d come back again

Nice relaxed atmosphere, with good choice of food. A group of 6 of us had a range of choices to eat, with wine and pretty good standard overall. Personally, I found the jerk chicken little more than a chargrilled chicken bread, with no authentic jerk heat, but with the rice etc, it was a nice meal. Just not what I had hoped. The other 5 were happy with there choices though, the salmon getting particular praise.
