Great, well cooked carvery. Good vegetables and moist meat. Staff great and very welcoming. Great pub for families of all ages

The food including the carvery is consistently good and the staff are lovely especially my favourite waitress Annie, who always has a ready smile! The roast potatoes are very crispy so watch out, I broke a tooth on one last week!

The food is a little bland all kind of tastes the same but enjoyed it, it was nice and warm and the service good. Annie the waitress was very nice and chatty and polite.

Annie is a very pleasant lady she made sure we were happy with our meals and ask if we needed anything else she sorted out my take out no waiting around all other staff were polite and made sure other people around us had everything they needed

We went for a family celebration, all 16 of us. Said one person was lactose intolarent and they could not do enough to accomodate it. The staff were absolutely lovely. Special mention to Harley and Carl and a young waitress with long brown hair and a young blond waiter. (sorry i didnt get your names) We all agreeed that we will definately use Westbulls again for our family celebrations. Thankyou so much .

Upon booking, it was advised i had the table from 11:10 to 12:10. As i was finishing my first plate, they took all of the breakfast food away at 11:20 - 10 minutes before the breakfast period finishes. Thanks, Phil

Told the bar staff when ordering that I was gluten intolerant and they bent over backwards to accommodate me. Made me separate food and gravy and checked in if there was anything else I needed. So helpful and so nice, really appreciated the lengths the staff went to. Will go again. Also used the Groupon voucher so it was so cheap and food was great

Been coming here for 18 months with family and wife who are no longer with us Melanie is very very helpful at all times and a very pleasure to visit food is lovely could be a little bit hotter at times when we approach staff regarding this it's sorted straight away

Arrived for 1pm yesterday, was busy when we arrived maybe more staff. Did quickly get seen though and went to the table. Ordered carvery was beautiful served by a young girl very pleasant. Veg was fresh and well presented. The restaurant was was clean but was looking like it could do with a lick of paint definitely return as 1st time visiting here. On leaving door was even opened by the who I'm guessing was the manager who thanked us for visiting with a big smile.

I recently dined at The West Bulls Stonehouse in Hull, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was perfect. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. The stone-baked pizzas were a highlight – perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. The carvery was also outstanding, with succulent meats and a wide selection of sides. The value for money was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of the food. The drinks menu had a good range of options, including some lovely local ales. The cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant were top-notch, and it was clear that the team takes pride in maintaining high standards. Overall, The West Bulls Stonehouse is a gem in Hull, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I will definitely be returning soon!

Pizzas were nice, chips were not worth the price at all, staff didn't know what meats were on certain pizzas, seats were broken and sticky

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Caleb was exceptional, he was very polite and was quick with ordering food, to clearing our plates to making our drinks. Also great live music they had - The Swamp Dogs. Great atmosphere, great food, would always recommend West Bulls.

Been in quite a few times. Really can't fault the place. Staff are pleasant and helpful, finding us a table and showing us to it. Ordering via the app has been straight forward and once ordered drinks arrive quickly with food not too far behind that even though the place has always been busy when we've been. Food has been good, nice burgers & chips though feel like it could do with a garnish, small salad/coleslaw. Carvery is also good with a nice selection of veg as well as the usual meats. Prices I think are the going rate these days, 2-3 of years ago it was cheaper but in that time everything has gone up in price & so has the food & drink here.

Only ordered a carvery, both beef and gammon looked like shoe leather and scraps, asked if any more beef and bluntly told no. Second bad experience, will not be returning

I've lived by myself for years and, while I love a roast, I never bother cooking myself one because it's fiddly and time consuming. However I've found the "Too Good To Go" app and when I'm having a quiet Sunday I quite often walk down to West Bulls and pick up a dinner. Absolutely riding on cloud 9 this week because I 5 pigs & blankets + one of the big sausages. No Yorkshires or stuffing this time but that's the luck of the draw. I've heard if you go in properly and pay full price you can just choose what you want though.

Small plates and the chef seemed to give out the smallest portions. Cashier receptionist did say when asked u can eat as much as u want but it didn’t feel like u could help urself to anything but small portions of anything. Nice gravy nice turkey but no parsnips, roasty was nice and tasty rekindling cider.

When a company has ‘daily deals’ I’m often a bit wary that you aren’t getting the normal size or quality of the chosen dish - at West Bulls, we got exactly what we’d have got any other day, but at 50% off the dish, and served by the delightful and welcoming Donna, too. Lovely meal and enjoyable lunchtime atmosphere.

I ordered by the app for home delivery so my son and I could share a large carvery. It stated you get extra meat a sausage and 2 Yorkshire pudding We received standard meat, no sausage, and 1 Yorkshire pudding What is the point in offering a large carvery and charging for it If you only give your customers a standard We were very disappointed

Staff all friendly, Annie was attentive and welcoming. Food as always was delicious. As I was hungry I ordered a sticking toffee pudding in the meal deal. Perfect.

My sister got breakfast for 5.99. Good value I got breakfast and a latte which was over 11 pounds to be told couldn't have unlimited drinks how that right when you paid more then to have breakfast and drink .eggs rock hard black pudding over cooked terrible experience

Well three roasts available all fresh, moist and cooked well. Vegetables were also nice. Only grumble was that the sausages and pigs in blankets were over done - really should of said something at the time but we didn’t - it did not spoil the meal as the rest was so good. Staff were lovely on all sides especially Annie who has been there for thirty years, how she keeps smiling with kind words is amazing. We will be back. 👍

First time at West Bulls. Unfortunately we went because they had catered for a funeral we had been to. The staff where nice, the buffet was exceptional.

It is a really nice carvery in a modern cosy setting. The chef gave us a good portion of turkey and beef, then you help yourself to potato and veg, which is better than ordering it off a menu because you just take as much or as little of what you like the look of. All the veg was beautifully cooked, the roast potatoes perfect. It's nice that you have a choice of apple sauce, mint, horseradish, and cranberry. There's quite a choice of beer, unfortunately, no cask conditioned real ale. The staff are very nice and friendly. A good-sized car park, it's the same company as the lambwath, so it is basically the same. They are both good places and deservedly very popular. There is a dartboard but no pool table. This is a good food pub.

Food was awful, dried up mushy veg. Was waiting ages to be served at the bar. Used to be a really good place but sadly it has gone downhill drastically. Will not be visiting again.

Had a really lovely carvery last night, with some friends, chose the beef which was really tasty, but, not enough of it thought it was a bit stingy as that is what we pay for
