Came for Xmas dinner everything outstanding as always great food and impeccable service from Fin and Eloise 👏🏼

Fin and Eloise served us for Christmas day. Had an amazing experience as always so helpful and lovely. Whole atmosphere was relaxed and organised despite how busy it was. Always return for family meals would really recommend! (Forgot to take a photo of the starter but was perfect, mozzarella and camembert cheese bites)

Lovely and friendly atmosphere, acomodated for a family of 12 and food was amazing,staff were lovely and helpful maybe could do with a cheap toy machine for toddlers, will be definetly going again worth every penny thank you westbulls and merry christmas to you all

Our youngest granddaughter enjoyed her breakfast with Santa. Staff were very attentive and Mr and Mrs Clause were excellent. They both took time to have a short conversation with our granddaughter. Well done to all the staff.👏🎅🤶

Yet again, Donna made our Christmas celebration, this year showing a drive for service that you can tell is infectious to her colleagues. Her relentless pursuit to ensure everything ran smoothly is a credit to West Bulls and I simply could not imagine celebrating with my work colleagues without the humorous yet efficient presence of Donna. Until next year.

Donna looked after our large party with a very complex order and got it spot on. She's an amazing lady, hard working and truly made our visit wonderful.

Attended West bulls again after the refit and wow it looks amazing and dinner big changes inside and out. The service was quick and very polite. Food as great as always. We all had carvery and a baby bowl for our little one.

Luke was a absolute life saver today, brought my twins for their birthdays, brought presents and batteries thinking I was preparing to find I couldn't put the batteries into the toy as I needed a screwdriver, luke came to the rescue!

Been coming here for 18 months with family and wife who are no longer with us Melanie is very very helpful at all times and a very pleasure to visit food is lovely could be a little bit hotter at times when we approach staff regarding this it's sorted straight away.i think front of house was very helpful and I throughly enjoyed my stay and would encourage people to come.

It's cheap and very cheerful! It's not 5 star Michelin food, but for this price, you really have to give it a go! Sharing chicken wings for 5.99! 20 per cent off with a bluelight card.

Manic as just reopend needs better organisation as que was bad as it reached the door people struggled to get in not enough staff only 2 taking orders for food and drinks some tables not cleared then ques again for your carvery meat very poorly cut and fatty (beef) Turkey and Gammon looked good veg choice great pigs in blankets for an extra price soggy the place does look good, it just needs better organising

Wow, the makeover is great and it wasn’t just to the building and furnishings - the food was Great and the staff seemed happier too. The last time I ate here I said it would be the last time but driving by and seeing the exterior makeover, we said we’d give it a go today. Food was excellent, best carvery I’ve had in years. Tables not too close together. (Only negative would be the bathrooms being a tad blah in comparison to the rest of the pub now.) we will definitely go again. Well done!

Wandering as a chef myself, if anyone in the kitchen is qualified? One word, FROZEN. Frozen veg, yuk, packet mash, and the roast, definitely not real free potatoes, gravy tasteless, Yorkshire pudding, tasteless, not a clue how to use n cook real vegetables. Tables sticky, in need of total refurbishment! 2nd Review, return to Westbulls...25/11/24 1.30pm. Wow....The west bull has undergone a Complte refub.......Fantastic...and also a posative referb on the food! Hot tasty, carvery! Cooked to perfection....enjoyed every morsel! Had a carvery followed by sticky toffee pudding n custard...yummy! Great friendly, hardworking team......what a difference a re- ferrari does....see you lot again n again.....much respect to all.

Came in a few weeks ago and was blown away by the place. Our drinks were sorted by a lovely young girl called keeley and she couldn’t have been more welcoming. She clearly cared for customers and went out of her way to make our experience fun. Amazing staff, will be coming back especially if she is on!!!

I recently dined at The West Bulls Stonehouse in Hull, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was perfect. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. The stone-baked pizzas were a highlight – perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. The carvery was also outstanding, with succulent meats and a wide selection of sides. The value for money was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of the food. The drinks menu had a good range of options, including some lovely local ales. The cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant were top-notch, and it was clear that the team takes pride in maintaining high standards. Overall, The West Bulls Stonehouse is a gem in Hull, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I will definitely be returning soon!

Last year me and my family, had a meal here. One of my daughters, was playing up as she normally does running around and bothering other customers. I told her off, and brought her back to the table. By the time we left, four police officers outside waiting for us all wanted a word with me and mummy they received a call for child abuse three male one female officer sent out, to a family eating at a pub. CCTV was checked zero issues at all. Not only a waste of there time, but they had us walk right through the pub to show them were we sat, everyone looking and judging. Turns out one of the staff, called because they thought harm was coming simply because I'm 6.5 wow. Not only embarrassing, and humiliated but what people see is there own prerogative and not linked to the real world. No action came to the member of staff. Trust nobody and I won't return, here if the food was free and the only place on earth giving out food.

Loved it, very polite members of staff, great value, passionate chefs. What else do you want on a cold winter night?

I've been coming here years. Always an enjoyable experience . Great staff, good food and over all a pleasant experience. Special shout out to Annie the waitress. I've been coming here over 16yrs and I always see her. That woman has worked there for almost 30yrs!! She is a credit to the company!

The carvery is the best I've had in the area. My gammon was soft and tender, and there was a large range of accompaniments. The veg tasted fresh, my mash was creamy, and my roasties were crispy. The gravy was rich and thick. The food was hot, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and tidy and very busy. There was a queue for the carvery, which is a good sign of good food, and was dealt with quickly by the carver. Excellent value

Came for Sunday dinner and the carvery was lovely. Good selection of meat and veggies. Annie made sure we were all happy and helped us pick dessert.

Large family gathering for brothers Birthday. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Annie in particular was very helpful checking our meals were ok and clearing away dishes quickly when we had finnished. She brought out a cake we'd brought and even popped on a candle ( which we forgot) right on cue. Such a lovely lady. Didnt rush us even though they were very very busy. Would highly recomend a visit to westbulls.

Called up tonight and Liam answered the phone. Fantastic telephone manner and was very helpful. Deserves a shout out for his customer service.

To be honest I hadn't been here for a while and as I had a Groupon voucher I thought I'd give it another visit. I'm so glad I did, besides the issue that the pub had no gas for beer, which got around by having a nice cold bottle of cider, everything else was great. We chose a starter, mine was the breaded mushrooms, my friend had the spicy chicken strips, then we both had the carvery, and I'm so glad we did. The meat was fantastic, and an was excellent portion too, the veg was hot and very tasty and omg the roast potatoes were fantastic, topped off with lovely gravy and a dash of English mustard for the Gammon and beef we both chose. Our server was Donna, a polite cherpy lady who had a lovely manner and smile. We'll be back soon, probably after the planned refurbishment. If you haven't been for a while then, like us, you're missing out.

We chose The West Bulls for my step-mum's wake after visiting other potential venues in the area of Hull Crematorium. Carl and the other staff were very friendly and reassuring when we first enquired. There is plenty of parking and they explained they could cater for our large numbers, providing a hot buffet at just over £10/head and puddings. This compared very well to the offerings from other venues and we knew West Bulls was known for good food as a Stonehouse pizza and carvery restaurant. We weren't completely sure on numbers, but settled on catering for 80, but were reassured they could accommodate 20-30% more. They segregated half the pub for us but said we could spread out further and assured us that plenty of staff would be working on the Monday afternoon. Carl greeted everyone on arrival, and had the fantastic food coming out within a short period. Carl also had my step-mum's folk music playing and a photo slideshow of her life on the tvs, which made the experience that little bit more special for the family and friends. Everyone was tucking into the food and said how great it was. Pizza boxes and cardboard containers were provided for any remaining food - there wasn't much as it was so nice. We couldn't thank the team enough for the fantastic service and would highly recommend. Amazing service and we'll be visiting again soon for a carvery.

As regular for 35 to 40 year's I went inin Saturday night 31 August not a nice night a family in and the language from them was diabolical they even had their children and a baby in a pram with them this was the second Saturday that was spoilt because of this family . this pub has certainly gone downhill.shameless comes to mind

Service at the counter very poor and rude I asked for turkey & beef the size of the portions would not have coverd a single KitKat roast potatoes very very hard veg soggie it's the first time I have been for 2 years I will not be returning again

Went for a carvery on 29th august with my parents, husband and child. I was utterly disappointed. The lady who was carving the meat was very rude and dishing out child like portions, when we asked politely if we could have some more she carved off a big chunk and slapped it on our plate. The veg was dry, the roasties were not edible! However a lovely lady called Donna took our complaint on board and said she would deal with it, she couldn’t be more apologetic she gave us a free round of drinks. I’m sorry but I won’t be returning, if you work in an environment such as west bulls you need to have a polite, friendly approach and this member of staff has very much let the place down.
