The waitress Donna was brilliant very helpful The staff are always very helpful and polite and chatty

Always get a friendly reception. Food really nice. Dog friendly. Can watch sky sports. Feel comfortable using this establishment.

Called in after work for my tea and chose a carvery. The beef was soft and tender and there was a large range of accompaniments. The bubble and squeak was new to me and was very nice. David carved my meat, and was very jovial. Finley introduced himself to me and asked me if there was anything I needed. He cleared my table for me when I was finished and explained the desert options. He recommend the sticky toffee pudding which was very nice. As I was leaving the lady manager asked me if everything was OK, and if I had enjoyed my visit. Excellent service, excellent value!

First time i’ve been since the renovations and i can see the true effort put in. I was served by fin and i cannot complain at all about the service. 10/10 i’ve booked to come back next week.

Been in few times over past few months always had great service especially last Sunday when I came in for a cavery and a lad called fin was my server absolute brilliant was so kind and polite to me and my kids just went over the top to make my experience better.

We visited on a Sunday, so we expected it to be busy, and it was ok. Great place to eat, staff really helpful. Our server, Elliot, was really helpful, and when the app wouldn’t work, he took our order. Would recommend!

Ordered via the app. Did not know they added the tip to your bill without asking, though. About 30 min wait for food from placing order to receiving. Think this is ok for freshly cooked food, drinks arrived earlier. Not all ingredients are stated on the menu, so need to check app carefully when ordering. One vegetarian dish came with meat, did not know we had to say not to put it in. Thankfully, our waitress, Annie, was brilliant and sorted everything for us.

I Visited for my grandmas birthday, The food was amazing! Not a single complaint from all 13 of us, I most definitely will be revisiting!

Went for a family meal Saturday night, service was slow and the deserts were dry, Shouldn't have weekday menus on the table because if you don't see the very small print then you think that apply, when there's 7 of you ordering a 3 course meal thinking it's a gd price when that menu is not valid on that day, it adds up, bad service and probably won't return

Visited Sunday early evening, very busy. Hadn't booked, but was found a table. Ordered on the app, drinks and carvery tickets came quickly. Carvery was spot on. Neice had a large pizza, which was huge. The guinness was spot on and cold.

According to a the manager you can take home you're pizza if you're unable to finish it but my wife who is a pensioner and not a big eater couldn't take home her medium sized carvery (at 17.15 was too late to order a small plate) and was refused point blank no way were you getting to take YOU'RE paid for food home only pizza can go, it looked like he got pleasure in telling us this and if we're not happy then report it,diplomacy is not his strong point. Top Tip take a small container with you if you don't think you'll finish it. Good Food,Bad Experience.

Nice food. Great atmosphere. Reminds you of the pub of the 00's. A bit on the pricey side, given also that the slice of meat during a carvery was nanoinch thin.

I like going to west bulls, they give good offers on . The only thing that I am disappointed in is every time I go they don't have brown sauce. I have to chase around to find someone and most of the time there is no-one to find. Today there was no mint sauce as well. Apart from that I'm happy with the food and the staff. Thanks.

Greeted with a friendly smile, the man looked like the manager. Bar staff was quick to serve, a little queue when people first arrived. Otherwise, enough staff on for a Thursday night. Reserve table to be sure, we walked in and were very lucky. Small group of lively friends, ate off the menu, very quick service, and delicious food.

Ordered a Leek Fondue Bake Carvery on Ubereats. Most of the meal was missing. Paid £12.79 for a cold, soggy pie, some mash and gravy. Ubereats won’t refund. Avoid

As a table of 7 that had reserved to see the sign that said help yourself to a table and to have to go and find the reservation in a busy restaurant is not great, especially when it’s a table for 4 that has been reserved. Took a while to find a staff member and he put on a 6 which was a squeeze. The refurb looks good but seems as though plates and portions are smaller, still good pizzas though. Children were disappointed that the self serve ice cream has gone. Thought the Hazy Jane and Stella didn’t taste right

Food was cold and arrived late compared to people around us that ordered about the same time.

Had the carvery which has options for meal sizes including a kids one.

Ladies the lunch, had a lovely carvery meal. Plus a dessert. Bubble waffle with Lemon merang and lemon ice cream with Sicilian.Lemon drizzled top and bottom and lovely strawberries on top.

Visited with a friend and we tried out the breakfast with a hot drink. It was apprx £6.50 and really great value. It’s help yourself buffet style and can top up your drinks. We both ate it all and enjoyed it. The staff at the bar were really friendly and welcoming when walking in. I would recommend as it’s clean and well set out and maintained.

Great place and recently had a refit. Staff and food are very good. Plenty great dining offers on various days. Good value and great atmosphere.

Food a little dry and not much choice for gluten free need bigger jugs for gluten free gravy as only got a little bit this made food dry, however the girl serving us washed and cleaned all utensils and hands before serving us

Nice friendly pub. Really now geared up for food as most places are but it's a friendly place and often busy.

Newly renovated with an updated menu, food portions are generous and service is great, carvery is very high quality. Can get very busy at evening times and Sundays!

First time we have been since the refit. It was much improved we both had a carvery three choices of meat it was hot and there were plenty of vegetables which were changed if they were running out. Waiting staff cleared away empty plates and were polite and helpful.

Met with a couple of friends for lunch two of us had carvery was very basic not much choice on veg mash was lumpy. I had the fatty bits left of beef and extremely salty gammon. The other has the Pizza which looked lovely couldn’t fault that. Would definitely not recommend the carvery. It has been many years since I was last in Westbulls the last was poor as well so nothing really changed. Also the carvery price on the menu was down as £7.29. Please get these updated ASAP. As the correct price is £10.29.

Finley served our family funeral gathering and brought joy to the atmosphere, friendly atmosphere, food was good !!

Came here after a funeral quiet a few family members and friends , 20+ and Finley the young lad took every single drink order and food order and not once messed up , was very polite and precessional , great service cannot fault in any way , queue for carvery was a bit long but it was at food change over I think so can’t complain at hot fresh food again!

Called here today for a carvery, food was wonderfull & Katie / Katy serving on the carvery was brilliant, polite courteous & great sense of humour. Will definitely be coming back again.

Me and my husband came today for a carvery and was very disappointed! The food was disguising the gammon was pure salt and like a door wedge the beef he put on my plate was just the scraps of the hot plate with loads of fat this is our second time coming as the first time wasn’t great we wanted to give it another chance however I highly recommend not getting the carvery and take a drive to toby carvery instead wish we would of done that! Never again will I come here for food!

Good food...toilets poor borderline dirty

Visited for the breakfast, we were the only people in there so there no queues, nice and quiet and everywhere was clean and tidy. As we were the first people in all the breakfast items were all freshly cooked.

Received wonderful service from Annie today. She was really friendly and was chatty with the children.

What a pleasure to be served by Lynn on the carvery,she was really welcoming and polite,sharing brief banter with diners. The pork and beef were delicious and the veg was all fresh and so tasty

The food was excellent. Staff were friendly.

This was our first visit after the referb. The new decorations make it look a lot brighter and inviting. We had a table booked (5.40 ) for 8 people and arrived 5 mins before our time. The person who met us didn't have a clue where we where sitting and had to find a place. He came back with a pile of plates which he removed from the table,but no reserved note, so we take it it was just luck that the table became free. Any way he showed us to table 28 which looks like it's been put in an old entrance way. It was that cold that we sat with our coats on for our meal and my father even had gloves on between courses. Moving on to our meals, we had starters which where nice and also hot, but when our mains come they had missed one off the order luckily a few where having the carvery so by the time they had queued for that mine was cooked. Over all it was not the best experience on returning to West bulls and not sure if it was just because we where a large party or it was the time we booked, that they struggled with the amount of people overall ? We may try again but just a few of us.

Nice place nice staff, let down by the food....bugers were very poor the meat tasted cheap...possibly overcooked? Had burgers from all over the world this has to rank amongst the worst won't be coming back. Preferred the place how it used to be cheap and cheerful

Thank you very much to all the staff at The West Bulls for our delicious Christmas Day lunch🎄 The atmosphere was very relaxed, even though there were many Christmas Day diners. The venue has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Our servers, Fin and Eloise were faultless. They were very polite, friendly and efficient. They should both be proud of themselves for remaining very cheerful and efficient throughout the day. We look forward to returning very soon 😊

Had the Christmas Dinner takeaway. Noticed it had very generous portions and it was very tasty. The takeaway dinner was a good idea as my mum can't really get out for dinner these days. Well done!

Fin and Eloise served us for Christmas day. Had an amazing experience as always so helpful and lovely. Whole atmosphere was relaxed and organised despite how busy it was. Always return for family meals would really recommend! (Forgot to take a photo of the starter but was perfect, mozzarella and camembert cheese bites)

This was my first time ever going out for Christmas lunch, and so pleased I chose West Bulls, what an amazing atmosphere, super helpful and friendly staff. The food was top notch with plenty of choice. I'd like to add how much I missed preparing and cooking Christmas lunch but I'd be lying 🤥, it was the most relaxed Christmas day I have had and that was solely down to you all ♥️

Our youngest granddaughter enjoyed her breakfast with Santa. Staff were very attentive and Mr and Mrs Clause were excellent. They both took time to have a short conversation with our granddaughter. Well done to all the staff.👏🎅🤶

Lovely and friendly atmosphere, acomodated for a family of 12 and food was amazing,staff were lovely and helpful maybe could do with a cheap toy machine for toddlers, will be definetly going again worth every penny thank you westbulls and merry christmas to you all
