The Welby in Melton

I had a fantastic experience at The Welby. Big thanks to Georgia she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her friendly demeanor and expertise made the whole experience enjoyable. I highly recommend the food here as it was lovely, will be returning!

I had a fantastic time at The Welby! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great evening. Emma, Georgia, and Lawrence were all amazing—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Drinks were served quickly, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I also attended the quiz night, which was a lot of fun and really well-organized. The whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish, thanks to the wonderful team. Highly recommend The Welby—I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came out for my nephews birthday meal and the food was great value for money, big thanks to Tracey who looked after us very well.

Had such a lovely time here food and drink and drink was lovely.We enjoyed chatting to Tracey she is a lovely member of staff. We will definitely be going again soon. Xx

Family meal for 60th birthday meal was excellent service was spot on great value for money nice atmosphere for families with children

We had a friendly welcome and choice of table, in a quiet area or someone fuller. We chose the quieter area and ordered online, which was easy, but we could not take away from the dishes online. We chose not to remove items and swap between each dish so food was not wasted. It made us think about our meals and what we ordered. It did not spoil our visit, but it may be something you wish to change on the order app. The staff was helpful and welcomed my assistant dog, too.

Came for a meal with the family last weekend and the service was great! We ordered puddings, made by Georgia & they were lovely!! We will be visiting again very soon

We came on Christmas Day for dinner the whole experience was amazing from the greeting the service atmosphere and the food we would like th thank Emma Lawrence and team for a brilliant Christmas Day we will definitely be back very soon xxx

Turned up was very busy with Christmas parties but we had great service as always & staff were great as always Sharon Tracy were amazing as always 🌲

It was our first time at the wellby we really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back in fact we have booked for Sunday dinner next week and also booked for Christmas Day the staff are friendly and polite and the food was lovely

Good value for money food was tasty and presentable. I was served by Will and George who was friendly and accommodating. Clean and tidy inside and out and a nice garden for kids and especially dogs. We will be returning

Great and inviting pub. Food was tasty and staff were really friendly. They have a great little kids play area too. Look forward to going back and hopefully trying their Christmas menu.

Visited 13 August for food and drinks with friends. Good food, excellent value and great service, as usual. Nicola and Tracey were very helpful when ordering food and drinks.

We did arrive pretty late last night, at night about 7.30pm the pub is clean and fresh, I don’t really want to say your standard hungry horse, because I liked this one. It was more unique! Lovely decor! They did our food, for 8.45pm so I was really grateful as I understand the kitchen closes! So thank you, as we did travel 40 minutes! The food was piping hot and delicious considering the time! All of the staff were lovely, but one lady stood out and just made the end of the experience better! She had a blonde hair, middle aged women that works behind bar! Very friendly, made us both laugh, so thank you! We will definitely come back, and come back for lunch instead this time!

The service here is immaculate first time here lovely place to bring kids to play on the climbing frame wide option of delicious food to choose from overall is 10/10 the bar staff kerry and Tracey were amazing my server Ellie was so polite along with the chefs who did an amazing job will definitely come again

30/05/2024 what a lovely evening booked for 8 people and have to say the staff Sharon,Lillie and Ellie were fantastic rushed off there feet but the speed of the service drinks and food were 2nd to none will certainly be returning all staff and chefs are a great asset

Had a lovely burger for dinner and great service from the girls at the bar and our waitress Ellie who was extremely helpful and served myself and my family with a smile even though it was very busy! :)

Wow popped in tonight on way home from long day at work How would you cope without the lovely Tracy & Sharon always smiling them girls even though they were extremely busy queuing out the door …. & the amazing George running around like a mad man .. great team work held it together well done !!!! 👍

We had fantastic 8oz rump steaks today. We were served by Ellie who was most helpful. The steaks are very good value for money.

Really good service from all staff considering How busy the pub was! Bar staff very friendly and even assisted me in choosing a drink I’d never tried before. Food quality was great and food came quickly.

Great visit as per usual. Staff are excellent, always go above and beyond. Cater for all my allergies which is fantastic. Shana has done an excellent job here with the staff. I look forward to coming here weekly. Love the karaoke nights aswell.

Another great evening at our favourite table number 19. Abby and Sharon looked after us well. The food is excellent value for money and we were able to watch football while we ate.

We held our wake here for a family member. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Shana helped us with what we needed for a buffet and the food was lovely. All the staff were really friendly and made us all feel really welcome on a sad day. Can’t thank you all enough xxx

The breakfast here is very amazing couldn't fault it the server abbey was really nice and caring asking for any allergies and was really polite, my waitress ellie ensured I had everything including any sauces I had forgotten overall the experience was amazing.

We came for breakfast with the Easter bunny, the food was lovely, all staff put on a great show for the children and there was lots of lovely activities on the decorated table. I have one happy little girl now, thank you welby and especially Ellie & Lillie xx

The welby was lovely, such as friendly atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was such good quality for the price, it tasted amazing. No complaints here. Would definitely come again. Absolutely no complaints!!

Attended many times since my last review, including Xmas day, and have never been disappointed with the food or service. The service has always been polite and efficient, food great on each occasion and particularly excellent value for money. The app is easy to use for ordering food and drinks if you don't fancy going to the bar. Dropped one star off of the review this time as on my last visit I drove the car down to use the electric charges as I had some credit on an app from visiting McArthur Glen, but three out of four spaces were taken by diesel white vans and a petrol car, no biggy as I have my own charger, so I drove the car back home and walked down, meant I could have a beer!

Great atmosphere, lovely food as always, value for money and great customer service. Especially by Josh Will be back again very soon!

Great service by a lovely young lady called Abbey. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and allergies. Definitely service with a smile. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot and there was plenty of it. We'll definitely be back again :)

As always here it was great service, prices & quality, especially the battered fish, some of the best around. We shall def return soon.

Poor selection of real ales (just one weak beer). Food was good, but plates nor glasses cleared between courses. Much better places to eat in the town centre.

Always come here every Friday and the care and attention certain staff members show us never fails to make our day. Has been our local for years but something as simple as a VERY hot coffee, whilst not exactly a big deal in terms of profit for the pub, means a lot to me. Tracey, Sharon and especially Abbi always take the time to make me feel like I'm not being a nuisance and go the extra mile to give me what I like. Not a drinker so the weekly coffees always go down well. Keep up the good work team Welby !! Julie.

Visited with family for a birthday meal, staff were lovely. Our server Lillie was very helpful and made the whole experience enjoyable. The restaurant was quite busy and Lillie was able to help us find a table. Overall experience was brilliant would definitely recommend.

When I visit the Welby, being disabled and using a wheelchair, the staff always make sure there is enough room for me to manoeuvre without disturbing anyone. When Nicola or Josh are working they go out of their way to make it a very pleasant...

Fantastic service at the Welby again! Fast and efficient at the bar and quick bringing the food out. Always fresh, hot and tasty. 3 starters 4 meals and 4 drinks for less than £50 cant be complained about!

Good service, good food and good prices, what more does anyone require. The only issue is sometimes there are feral children and the parents take no responsibility disruptive nature of their kids.

A regular stop over for lunch for us on ride outs so decided to try the breakfast. Quick service, full breakfast was a good but not rediculas size,friendly service, great price. Will be back

We have visited The Welby twice recently for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and service was good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered a wrap & pudding, both were delicious. Reasonably priced too. Lots of parking available. Definitely going back to try the Sunday lunch because they looked amazing.

Me and family/friends are regulars at weekends and week nights for food and drinks but I must say the cleanliness seems to have dropped a bit recently, I find the tables outside in a poor state and also sticky unwiped, they also have broken table...

The kitchen staff (I won't go so far as to call them chefs) are re plating food that had been returned. One of the wraps on a kids meal had sauce wiped inside it and had been neatly re folded so the staff didn't notice...
