What a brilliant place to enjoy refreshments! Absolutely stunning views! The food and drink is of top quality too. It’s open from April to end of September and defiantly worth a call when on North Uist

I'd been recommended this place before we left home. It's wondersful to find such a place pretty much in the middle of nowhere and on the edge of the shore. The scallop and black pudding roll was as good as my friend said it would be, and we both enjoyed a very decent coffee.

Delicious fresh crab rolls stuffed full of flakey crab meat. Home baking very good and lovely view from here too. Recommended,

We couldn’t resist stopping there for lunch on our way to the shops. We had crab rolls and they were delicious, so sweet and fresh. I couldn’t help it and also ordered a slice of coffee and walnut cake and bounty brownie, homemade and scrumptious. A little treat on our holiday, definitely worth a stop.

Stopped off for lunch very busy, happy to wait😊. Couldn’t decide between the crab or prawn roll so had both, not disappointed. Also the banana loaf was excellent

What a fantastic little roadside cafe van in a fabulous location overlooking a wide sandy bay. It's busy with passing traffic & cyclists but they've thought of everything and provide excellent food & service, buzzers to alert you when your order is ready and contactless card payments too! The Seafood Chowder was excellent, hot & a bit spicy with lots of fish & shellfish. Highly recommend stopping here for coffee & cake or fresh made sandwich & soup.

The Wee Cottage Kitchen is the most amazing fantastic place - and what a wonderful surprise to find it out of the blue. It is situated in a stunning location on Vallay Sound and the food is just the BEST. We adored the cakes and snacks, all served with the most friendly, warm, welcoming, chatty and delightful service. What a place - it is a MUST for a pitstop. Highly recommended.

Stunning! Unbelievable scenery matched only by the Uist lobster rolls. Delicious! Bench Seating to sit and enjoy both scenery and lobster.

Came across this by chance. Busy so given a bleeper that flashed when lunch was ready. Delicious crab roll, and smoked salmon and cream cheese panini, with americanos with soya milk. Very tasty. We ate it in the car as it was very windy.

Initially drove past when it was closed but decided to visit the next day. We arrived at 1.30pm and decided to order the Lochmaddy Prawn Roll and Lobster sub. There was a small queue, when it was my turn I was told they had run out of both lobster and prawns. Bad timing as the people in front me got the last of both!! Decided on the Scallop and black pudding roll and a tuna mayonnaise sandwich. Took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready but it was worth the wait. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the black pudding was spot on. The hut was busy the whole time we were there with people buying sandwiches, drinks and milkshakes which looked absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back but maybe earlier so we aren’t disappointed!

We visited several times during our two week break on North Uist, what a fabulous little place and excellent service, keep up the great work ladies.

The weather was perfect (no indoor seating!). This mobile lunch and coffee shop is beautifully placed by the shore. Homemade cakes and scones are temptingly displayed. The staff are particularly pleasant. It was a lovely stopover on our journey today! We sat at one of the picnic tables and enjoyed a latte and millionaires shortbread.

Stopped off in our camper for some lunch. We had toasties, cake and a delicious ice cream milkshake! Lovely setting too!

Fantastic place to stop off, great selection of rolls including fresh crab and scallops, and decent coffee. Then enjoy with views over to Vallay.

Once again stopped here for food. Visited last year and again this year. Ordered North Uist crab and Lochmaddy prawns for lunch, both were excellent. Ordered Stornoway black pudding and lorne sausage for breakfast again both were good. Wonderful little food shack.

Unfortunately all the seafood was sold out but we had a sandwich and cake instead. Lovely little find. Enough parking outside for our motorhome. Amazing views to eat our lunch to

Drop in on the journey from Lewis to Uist. The food was freshly cooked, and tasted great. From seafood salads to sausage baps, it is worth a visit. Support the local economy and get some great food/drinks at the same tome. Location is also excellent, with benches overlooking the bay

A little food cabin with the most wonderful views out to the north west coast and beyond. The cakes were amazing but the star of the show is the local seafood - unfortunately no crab or lobster on offer when we visited but lovely prawns. We were very happy to support this local business.

What more could you wish for on a bright autumnal day than a piping hot cup of lentil soup and a fantastically fresh crab roll. Make a point of adding a stop here to your journey.

Most amazing crab sandwiches we ever had. Fresh and full of the best crab meat. Lovely cakes, scones, sandwiches and milkshakes! And the location makes you feel in heaven! Thank you for the lovely service and being just at the right spot when most things were closed on north Uist ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely fantastic place for food on the island . Lovely quality food . Stopped for brunch and it was that good returned for late lunch. Fantastic views over the bay. Will be returning tomorrow. Totally recommend this eaterie

The lobster roll and scallop and black pudding roll were really tasty and generously filled. Nice side salad and beautiful location.

We stopped twice for a late breakfast and they did us sausage and egg rolls even though they’d finished serving. Absolutely delicious, and with a great view over the bay to Vallay. Also bought their cakes for pud - Rolo brownies were brilliant.

Well worth a visit for a good cup of coffee and a great scallop and black pudding roll which was delicious. My wife had a healthier prawn salad which was very good as well. Recommended

Great home baking with a twist and fabulous views. We stopped for a well deserved tea and cake on one of the wet and windy days!

North Uist has few cafes and this hut served very good coffee and cheese toastie with friendly service. The layby allows parking with a great view of the changing colours in of Hebridean waters.

Scallops to die for, crab rolls were succulent. Nicely presented in containers. Good coffee. All you need from a fairly posh food truck.

Fantastic views across the bay is the setting for the Wee Cottage Kitchen which offers some amazing food at very reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Hope that this enterprise does well.

Stopped off here for lunch on a recommendation. Had a fantastic packed lobster baguette and a lovely crisp salad. Was so good that went back for cake and coffee. What cracking wee business - can’t recommend highly enough 😊

Really tasty local food being served here with an unspoiled view over the beach and sea. A must for North Uist.
