The Waterside Premier Lodge Restaurant in St. Helens

Lovely meal, and lovely chocolate brownie, I come here regularly and the food is always great, can’t beat a good roast, the new roasties are to die for. The staff are so friendly and always welcoming.

Went today for the first time it started with being shocked at the carver walking from the kitchen holding 2 cooked legs of lamb in the air in his hands you think they would be brought out in a tray waited 15 mins for glasses to get drinks the carvery at 12oclock the veg was cold ordered puddings sticky toffee this was a dry cold muffin we waited 25 mins for the server was just stood at top of the room we kept having to get the bar staff to help us we sent pudding back we had to get up to pay as couldn’t get the waiters attention as we were walking out asked to see a manger she refunded the carvery’s and said they were 8 staff down it would of been 1 star but we were refunded food

Food cold asked if they could put it in microwave went to try this place before I go for Christmas dinner paid deposit won’t be going was awful

Thank you for a lovely welcome and service from all staff. The gentleman who took us to our seat and checked on our meal was very polite and friendly. The carvery was well laid out with a great variety of foods. My only negative point would be the food could have been hotter but this would not stop me going again. Thank you everyone.

Had a good experience taking my dad for Father’s Day meal. Expected it to be busy which it was but there were a lot of servers to accommodate this which was great to see. Food was good as always, pork which I got was a bit dry as was the sticky toffee pudding but that could be due to personal taste. But was a good experience and my dad enjoyed his meal and experience which was the main thing. Would recommend and will come to this location again.
