It's too cold in the cafe, you get hot food delivered to your table, within 2/3mins it's gone cold. Everybody sits with their coats on !!!

Decided to meet here with a friend for a coffee and a bite to eat... Firstly we noticed the lack of choice, then the prices.. anyway my friend had the so called traditional english breakfast which was appauling one egg, one small pot of beans, one slice of bacon one sausage and one hash brown oh yes !! one slice of bread.. I had beans on toast which was cold... The staff behind the counter never even made eye contact with any customers what so ever, if fact they didnt even look as if they new what they were doing very slow service... Will never come here again.. !!!!!!!!!!

Food was good but well over priced. We had a sandwich with the smallest bit of salad, you could pick it up in two fingers, with a small pot of coleslaw. This came to over £8.00 each I was horrified ! I would not recommend or eat there again due to the extortionate prices

Entered the restaurant at 1.10 pm got served at 1.35 pm only to be told the wait for food was an hour and that the bacon,Brie panini was off the menu as they had run out of bacon. Whoever is manager of this lovely place needs to employ more staff immediately

Has a lot of potential to be a great place, but the waiting time at the till is too long, especially when you got kids wanting to play. There should be a separate place for the play area to pay maybe. The bread of my sandwich was very dry, 1st time ive eaten there so hopefully just a one off. The play area is a lovely size and the kids so far seem very well behaved. The price of playing has just gone up, so not sure it’s worth the new price. I would like to see the play area cleaned and tables cleared more regularly for the price.

Went on Wednesday with a group of people on a minibus so as we were there over the lunchtime period thought we would eat there - disaster! Friends that had gone into the bistro earlier said food was taking up to half an hour+ and they were still waiting - even for a bowl of soup! So we decided to just have a coffee/tea and cheese scone or sausage roll. Customer in front had the last cheese scone to take away so that was me out, so I asked about sausage rolls and was told yes they had them but would take half an hour?? Not good enough if you want to thrive as a business - there were 3 serving behind the counter and assistants in the kitchen so not sure what the problem was. I didn't think that bistro was that busy!

I find the Cherry Lane Garden Centre extremely useful and enjoy shopping there, so that probably gives my review of the cafe a positive bias. It's in a pleasant corner of the garden centre with bright decor and friendly staff. The coffee is good. The food that I have eaten there has been ok for a light lunch - nothing to write home about but, as a pleasant break during a shopping trip, rather nice.

The young lady who served us with her sparkly nail varnish was new I think, so it's not her fault she wasn't sure what she was doing. Breakfast ends at 11.30 lunch starts at 12...... not sure what you do in that half hour. We were only given half the order, and weren't told we needed to pick up some of our order off the shelves ourselves. The soup was disgusting. The scones were dry. I had to rummage through the sticky and dirty knives, forks and spoons to find clean ones. The play area at the side of the cafe has a sign saying you must pay to go in it! It's such a shame because it's a lovely looking place with a lot of potential. It's also quite expensive for what we got. I think it's changed hands fairly recently so may just be teething problems.

Popped in for breakfast - do a good selection including vegan options. Food cooked to order, came quickly and tasted great. Lots of other options for lunch too. Prices are very reasonable. Cafe was really clean and staff very friendly, Will add it to my 'breakfast list'!

Unbelievable. Once again an item is missing. 4 items on the receipt only 3 items in the bag. Despite me writing in the notes ‘please send all 4 items’. It’s really not that difficult right? Won’t make the mistake of ordering from here again.

I’ve been coming to Poddington Garden Centre for over 25 years and remember it fondly as a family-run business with knowledgable staff and a massive range of high quality plants. It’s a bit of a drive to get there for me, but it used to be worth it, as Poddington stood out then, as the premier local garden centre. Sadly it has declined massively no longer deserves that title. The range and quality of the plants and other gardening items have reduced significantly. The inside section seems to have mostly been switched to selling budget items and loads of groceries. It was like a mini B & M homestore. The indoor plants section is a shadow of its former self, in terms of range of plants and quality. I guess it’s handy for the locals and does sell a lot of stuff, but I won’t be coming again.

Very slow service, waited ages to be served. Barista was banging every cup and jug like there's no tomorrow (as a barista myself, if you're steaming your milk correctly, there's no need AT ALL for incessant banging to get rid of air bubbles!!!!) Made the atmosphere awful, noise really goes through you!

A lovely and very well decorated restaurant with very poor customer service. All the standard duties of a restaurant just missed. Drinks were not offered through out our meal, no one around to ask for more drinks or to take our dishes when finished. Food was very average for the price. When we finally got someone’s attention and asked for dessert we thought we had been forgotten as the waiting time was far too long, they informed us that our ticket did not go through to the kitchen and gave us extra scoops of ice cream. Very unfortunate that a lack of customer service has let down a very beautiful setting.
