Known this pub for 40 years. New broom has not made much difference. No real ale. Not one handpump. All keg and lager. Rather frequent a proper pub with good food.

Never been spoken to so rude in my life by the man who owned the place. 10 friends all playing pool not loud just chatting quietly for the manager to come over angrily and asked us for ID which we provided as he was in the wrong about our ages he demanded who had bought a drink, as 2 of the 8 had not because they were driving he went mad kicked us out of the pub and made a big scene humiliating us infront of the locals in there. Never been treated and spoken to so rudely by someone running a buisness after he we had paid for a fair few drinks! Will never get our service again.

Great place, great atmosphere, lovely staff and reasonable prices. Quiz and karaoke night on a Tuesday night is a good weekday eve it's becoming a popular event and getting quite busy, plus artists or dj every weekend

9-11 Wellington RoadWent for the afternoon Fish and Chip deal. Food arrived promptly and was very hot and tasty. Batter was a bit soggy and greasy on this occasion, so not as good. As now no San Miguel and not so keen on the Angelo Poretti replacement tried the bottled World Beers of Tyskie and Staropramen instead. You get more than a pint (650ml) and it is stronger than the draft lager so when included with the meal @£9.11pp it is exceptionally good value. Cannot beat Spoons for prices these days.

Haddon Hall Road10/10 food steak was lovely and well rested and the staff always have a smile and are welcoming !
