Booked through Britstops and stayed in the car park overnight. Really friendly staff, food really good and came out of the kitchen quickly, good portions. Menu has all the usual suspects, bar has a really good choice of gins/rum’s etc and Cocktails 🎉🎉 will come back for Sunday lunch, which sounds amazing. Thank you for a great stay!

What a find, a gem of a place. Amazing inside and out. Great atmosphere. Staff all tidy and well presented. Well trained. Very knowledgeable on food and drink. Could tell who has what role. I would class the guy in shirt and trousers as owner or the general manager. Great selection of food. Carvery looked amazing shame I had to move on. I'll be making a point of going once I'm off my tour.

Absolutely belting roast dinner! The pub is lovely, with lots of space, looks really premium. The bar with pool, darts and big screens. We wanted a roast and to watch the match and they reserved us the best seats in the house. The roast was tasty and plentiful. The kids had a lasagne and Bolognese and said that they were delicious. The portions are massive. Great atmosphere, friendly service. Great day all round. Thanks

Had a lovely meal in the beer garden which is beautifully kept. The food was delicious, really good size portions and good value for money. Excellent service. Thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately our food was not up to its usual excellent standard and we have been coming here regularly for about three years. We were very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food on our last visit and have decided as a family not to come again and will use the pubs in Maentwrog instead. Shame, because Bryn Arms will depend on locals during the winter and you will lose us if you don’t get the menu back up to its previous standard. The staff are great though and it’s not their fault ☹️

Really surprised at this place as mixed reviews on the food. But I have to say we really enjoyed our meal, hot and tasty. Service was great staff friendly. We would definitely eat here again.

Dreadful …… I went with friends. The order for my food came out wrong and the scampi still had the veins inside which were full of waste. A friend ordered waffles and they were hard, it wasn’t a good experience at all

Booked in table ready given menu told to order at the bar . Order went in at 7.45 Got starter scotch egg over cooked Soup like water not like homemade Waited 45 mins for mains to be brought the wrong ones Eventually got lasagne it had no meat on it complained to staff it was changed Meat lasagne came this time to be more like a mince cheese fondue no pasta sheets Beetroot feta salad ok but not much taste no substance to it . Would not waste my 63 pound again

We absolutely loved this place as we were staying over the road from it on the caravan site. The food was very good as was the service. It can get busy so I would suggest getting there early, especially if the football is on. If you are in the area this place is a must and it’s dog friendly

Visited today for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The carvery was fresh and there was a great selection of meats to choose from; beef, pork, turkey and gammon and loads of vegetables. Now I'm not a mash fan but after chatting with the chef who was serving thought I'd give theirs a go. Very very tasty. The roasted carrots were amazing. If we lived closer this would easily become our local and Sunday lunch venue. This is how a Sunday lunch/carvery should be. Absolutely recommended.

Visited for Sunday lunch, glad we had pre-booked a table as there were lots of people here. Staff were friendly and welcoming and tables were laid nicely and well spaced. Sunday carvery was delicious! A great choice of meats and veg, my husband and I both chose beef & Yorkshire puds which was cooked perfectly, lots of veg to choose from and the roast potatoes were ‘proper’! Didn’t have room for pudding although I liked the menu choices ranging from rhubarb crumble & sticky toffee pudding to sorbets something for everyone. Will definitely be back and will book in advance to guarantee a table.

Had a carvery at this place on Sunday 18th feb , could not fault anything it was amazing , lovey staff , lovely chef very pleasant experience, thank you the bryn arms you finished our 3 day cottage break off for us with the most amazing carvery, will definitely be back 😊

We had booked a table for 7 for Sunday lunch. Arrived and were immediately told which numbered table was ours. Pleasant surprise was, although we had intended to use the carvery, the main menu was also available. The choice of meats on the carvery was turkey, beef and pork. These were tasty and the choice of vegetables was plentiful. One negative was we didn't realise until we had finished that we could return for more vegetables!!! Liver and onions was also ordered and again, this was delicious. Despite being full, desserts were ordered, which were once again tasty and plentiful. Service was excellent. The overall experience was excellent - service, food and also the value for money. We hadn't eaten here for over 20 years, but we certainly will be back as soon as possible. On the last Saturday before Christmas we'd booked to take the kids to zipmas and were desperately looking for somewhere to have dinner before. Just when it looked like the whole of Wales was closed we came across the oasis in the desert that is The Brynn Arms. This place is fantastic. Clean,mosern but traditional. Great setup for the bar area with good seating tv and a pool table and an excellent outside/under cover area that was warm, festive and friendly. Food was excellent. Chicken pot pie was legendary. Kids food was great. Risotto was great. Burgers were incredibly tasty. Good beer too. Can't go Wrong with a doom bar. Can't wait to go back. Despite a two hour drive we would go back in a heartbeat

Arrived in the large and mostly empty car park, busy inside with mostly i think locals which we are not, We were told to sit anywhere so sat in the covered tent like area which had a heater, We gave our order, i asked for potatoes with my meal but got chips, otherwise food average, the waitress took away my plate while my wife was still eating, Just needs some training.

Food was amazing and the staff was so nice I would recommend that you come here and we are here for a week and when I am older I most definitely work here xxxx

I don't normally write negative reviews as I prefer to sort out niggles and things that go wrong on the premises. If these are resolved I live and let live. I have years of experience in travel and hospitality and understand sometimes things do get forgotten or go wrong. This place left my husband and I so upset that our evening out to celebrate his birthday was ruined. Initial impressions at the bar were good with prompt and efficient bar service...then it all went downhill. The service in the restaurant was terrible....being expected to wait 35 minutes for someone to come and take your order when you were virtually the only people in there was the first thing. I did express my dissatisfaction to the waitress who in all honesty seemed to not have a clue why I had a problem...her excuse was the other part of the pub was busy. In that case why not ask us to order at the bar if they were too busy? If you offer a service you should see it through. However when said waitress then went and spoke at high volume repeating ad verbatim our conversation in front of other staff and customers who were in hearing distance, including ourselves, this was the final straw. We walked out. We were not prepared to sit and be belittled or humiliated for making a genuine complaint about poor service. Ironically, we had until that point been prepared to forget about the whole thing.

Visited here twice during our stay at the nearby Caravan site. Very handy place, just across the road. Had two lovely meals, Bryn burger the first occasion and chicken stuffed with Stilton and leek. Very tasty chips as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals here on both occasions.

This restaurant is a gem of a place. It has everything you need, children play area, dog friendly, pool table etc. outside and inside seating area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We ate there the 2 nights we stayed in the area. Well recommended.

Great pub with lovely food. We ate twice here whilst on holiday in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Staff were friendly and it has a lovely outside seating area as well as a covered seating area. Pub is also dog friendly. Would definitely visit again when in North Wales.

Stopped for the night in a motorhome for free as the pub is part of Britstop scheme. Had a warm welcome, meal then great fun playing pool and darts all evening. A top stopover. Thanks.

Went here for Sunday Carvery, drove 17 miles from Talybont where we were staying. It was actually the best Carvery I have ever had. It was definitely worth the drive!. Totally recommend.

We are staying at a camp site and wanted somewhere to eat. We were given a warm welcome and were served immediately. The lager was fabulous and the food was delicious. We will definitely be recommending this beautiful restaurant. We had a pizza with olives, steak pie and lamb burger 🍔

La zona pub sembrava carina ma troppo rumorosa per i nostri gusti. Fuori faceva freschino e si rischiava pioggia. Così abbiamo optato per la sala da pranzo tradizionale. Un po' vuota e desolata. Servizio molto gentile e abbastanza rapido. Forse abbiamo sbagliato la scelta dei piatti: hamburgher che sembrava più un salsicciotto. Non un granché.

Typical pub grub,mostly from the freezer. OK to have a drink outside, take the grandkids but we wouldn't recommend it as a good dining experience.

Stayed at the campsite nearby and we were recommended this pub. Delicious food, excellent choice - generous portions and welcoming staff. Ate here two nights running - first night we both had the homemade pies and next night the Bryn burger and homemade lasagna.

I was booked in with a group of friends on a walking weekend break.I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Parmigiana. When it arrived it was both much thicker and more generous than anticipated - in short there was rather too much of it. Nonetheless it was delicious and accompanied by adequate portions of chips and vegetables.I also had a glass of merlot wine which was drinkable but slightly disappointing as it seemed a little watery.After such a large main course I had no room for a dessert.Food is ordered at the bar and our meals arrived reasonably promptly.I would be happy to eat here again should the opportunity arise.

Service was fine (although bell system is slightly strange). The food was dissapointing, the gnocchi was like a bowl of soup and the curry was flavourless. Expected much better given the price.

We were on holiday in the area, google came up with Bryn Arms, we were so glad we made the journey, in a lovely area, friendly staff our waitress Amber kept making sure everything was ok with drink and food. Good quality and portion sizes of food. Would highly recommend and if ever in the area again wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Excellent promt and,pleasant service,young professional staff. Best melt in your mouth beef,ale and horseradish pie, great chips extra gravey without asking. Ordered a side of homemade onion rings which didn't disappoint. Large car park, lots of outside tables, Definatley worth a visit.

Some people are so impatient but good food cooked from fresh is worth waiting for in my book!Good menu choices and huge portions…..too much for me but never mind as the quality and taste is great.Service was good too but you had to press a button……..don’t think some past reviewers liked that although can’t think why.Lots and lots of seating inside and out. Do make sure you book at weekend but we returned a second time on the weekday and managed to get a table.Only thing to mention which I would prefer is a small indoor cosy seated area for after dinner drinks, a sofa maybe, but not going to mark down on account of that.It’s right next door to the caravan club campsite too which is handy for us staying there.

Staying locally we visited as our hotels kitchen was closed so unable to provide food due to a staff shortage. A search of restaurants with Gluten-free options pointed us in the direction of the Bryn Arms and we were not disappointed arriving without a reservation they still squeezed us in, the restaurant appears very popular 18:00-20:00 with a much more subdued atmosphere in the layer evening for those seeking a quieter bite. Mains took a while to arrive as the food was cooked fresh, good value, selection and portion size. All the waiting staff were attentive and polite, I would definitely eat here again!

The gammon was overcooked. The egg, £1 extra, was like a lump of rubber whilst the carrots in the mixed veg was only half cooked

Really popular place and therefore very busy so booking is essential. Service was very nice and prompt via the call button. Food was great tasting, could tell the ingredients were good quality, reasonable price too as it was £10. Minor issue with the food but was rectified quickly. Brownie was amazing also for dessert. Overall great experience, we drove 30mins to get there and felt it was worth it

i used to come here all the time mainly because i liked the vegetable lasagna i had it about 2 months ado and was disappointed as it’s now called an open lasagna which isn’t as nice as the vegetable one because there is no cheese on the top which i have to add is my fav part.Anyway we called tonight knowing that i was going to have to try something different which is totally out of my comfort zone but anyway i did i had the chicken s schnitzel omg it was huge it came with veg and chips i also ordered a mushroom sauce to go alongside and i have to say it did not disappoint have found a new favourite definately be back the staff are awesome and very helpful, on the table is a bell ready for when you want to order so that you can call them if you need a drink and also another button to get your bill brilliant idea to stop the congestion at the bar.take care see you all soon

We had booked into the restaurant for a family meal with 4 adults a teenager and a child, We were sat right beside the door but we weren’t asked if this was ok so we closed it ourselves.We sat for 50 minutes after continuously pressing the service button which is on the table. The menu did look lovely but I do wish we’d of just left after witnessing the service.The waitress couldn’t answer any of our questions about the menu and when asked what the pie of the day was she thought it was hilarious and replied chicken ham and mustard with some vegetables??We ordered 2 steaks 2 burgers a pizza and a child’s meal of chicken nuggets - no vegetables or salad where an option on the children’s menu.The chicken nuggets were typical bread crumb frozen cheap style. The pizza also looked frozen store bought.The burgers went down well but the steaks were ruined with the sauce- I made the mistake of ordering the Stilton sauce and slapped it all over the plate only to find it was milk and flour- we pressed the service button again but give up after ten minutes. We were hoping to see the front of house or even anyone in charge but sadly the only service was from teenagers - 1 poor member of staff was only 14 and looked so lost although you could see he was doing his best.The outside area was covered in barking dogs that were on leads but caused constant commotion barking and growling..they should of been asked to leave. We were also shocked when a man came to the bar with a dog and the dog jumped up to the young waiter and dropped all the drinks! He cleaned it up with what smelt like a litre of bleach.Another couple casually brought in a dog bed into the restaurant and placed it on the seats for her huge dog to nap in.It was the most expensive meal we are on our weeks holiday and was by far the worst experience

Decided to try the Bryn Arms in Gellilydan on the recommendation of a friend!Pre-booked a table for 7, which was ready when we arrived.Small kids play area outside. Dirty pub like toilets. Small carpark outside - much too small.Strange waiter service in place where you need to press a button and wait and wait rather than ask a passing member of staff!We ordered our food and were kept waiting for 45 minutes for our food. We asked several members of staff where the food was, who said they would ask the kitchen - but never came back! When the food arrived, my Son's pizza was missing (and only arrived 25 minutes later - after the rest of the family had finished). My Lamb Korma, had the incorrect salad choice - twice - even after having been sent back to the kitchen! The curry has been cooked by a chef who had obviously never eaten a curry in their life and knew absolutely nothing about Indian food.Eventually, my son's pizza was removed from the bill, when i raised the issue with the manager who blamed the issue on staff shortages - but given they has lots of staff and few customers - seems a poor excuse for poor staff management and training to me.So if you want service slower than an asthmatic snail with a Zimmer frame, who delivers incorrect orders cooked by incompetent chefs and served by excuse making waiters - this is the place for you. If not, there are plenty of better restaurants in the area!

Standard food in general to be honest, nothing amazing. Drinks service was shocking, literally 25-30 mins for a simple pint to be delivered. Pretty poor even for peak season. Food service however was nice and prompt, plus the venue is great for kids and space.

Visited twice on our recent visit to North Wales. Enjoyed our meal on both occasions staff worked very hard, especially like the the call buttons on tables. Well set out.

Upon recommendation we visited the Bryn Arms and called in advance to book a table, we had our dog with us and we’re welcomed and shown to a table in the bar, lovely food with huge portions… The next night we tried to book another recommended local pub/restaurant but when I eventually got through on the phone it was fully booked so we decided to see if we could get a table back at the Bryn Arms.. Good decision, food even better, service outstanding with a little buzzer on each table for service. Very reasonably priced and the lamb korma is highly recommended. We were advised on the way in that there would be a wait as they were short staffed. We could see the staff were all working very hard and our wait for food was fine, especially lots of young staff and Sean who attended to us on both occasions. Well done to you all!

Came here with my fiancée for Sunday lunch, and we weren't disappointed.Tables are well positioned, each numbered. Each table has a wireless "call" system. Simply press the button and a staff member arrives.We ordered a starter and a Sunday roast each. The food is excellent, absolutely delicious, and generous portions too. The prices are very reasonable.The staff are also very welcoming and friendly, and although very busy, still provide an excellent service.Overall it was an excellent visit, and we will definitely be returning.

Me and my boyfriend visited today for Sunday lunch for the first time since covid. We were amazed to see the stunning renovations. Plenty of outdoor seating and a new child play area. Our meals were very tasty, good portion size however we were disappointed by the flat Yorkshire pud and would have preferred if our gravy would have come separate because we personally don’t like our food swimming in gravy. Service was all together good, considering the volume of people dining out, food came fast. Our drinks were very slow coming to the table but we learnt to order drinks long before our drinks were finished to make up for the wait. They also had a really good call bell system to get staff’s attention to place an order will be visiting again soon Great value for money

Service was friendly, efficient and helpful and for adults there was a decent choice of meals. The kids menu was dire though and doesn't even come with any veg or salad. Kids can eat more than chicken or fish nuggets! My partner's little girl would have loved the option of a small plate of some of the adult food but they couldn't do that. The rest of the food was fine except the hallumi fries that were over priced for such a small portion.

Stopped here for dinner while staying at the camp site next door, booked a table and arrived on time, we were shown straight to our table where we ordered our drinks, drinks arrived shortly after and we ordered our food with the waitress, she then asked us to pay for our food straight away, we also paid for our drinks, we were ready for another drink before the food arrived but the guy bringing out drinks and collecting glasses couldn’t take our order nor could the lad who delivered the food we had to wait for another waitress to take food drinks order and then while we were eating demanded payment for the drinks, as if we were going to run off ??, non of the staff were wearing masks and one of the waitresses had her hair down and kept playing with it especially while flirting with the barman in the outside restaurant area, overall the food was good if just a bit bland, why couldn’t we have just paid our bill at the end ???? They had our phone number and name

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very nice and large portions. The only issue I had was that the meal was quite expensive for a pub meal.

Amber has been our server on 2 occasions and she is absolutely lovely. Food portions are larger than normal. But saying that the food is lovely they have a really good selection of gluten free items to choose from. Ordered a steak that would have been awful at half the price.. at £20+ it was a complete and utter discrace..there are no polite words to describe how bad it was.. I'd have been better off eating my leather boots..I asked for medium rare.. recieved a shriveled, burned mess.. somehow managing to leave the gross fatty rind bloody.. so bad I didn't even give it to my dog. Service was chaotic at best, bringing starters no one ordered and leaving a party member without their main meal so long everyone else was finished. Other party members complained of dry, inedible chicken and disintegrating (stale then) burger buns.Asked at the bar for a jug of water which was apparently a major inconvenience for the staff member, who looked at me like I'd asked them for one of their kidneys.No idea how the place recieves it's food recommendations based on our experience... Perhaps people are just orderig chips, which to be fair were really good. One star for great chips, and for being dog friendly.. otherwise terrible.

You would never stumble across this is a couple on minutes drive off the main road in a little village, Nice garden, excellent decor, very clean with all the correct Covid precautions in place.We just couldn't fault the food or service and will defiantly returnThey allow a small number of Motor homes to park over night which is great as its so neat to Snowdonia.They also allows dogs in which is great.

Went here for a Sunday roast with my partner, we had the home cooked halloumi fries as a starter and they were delicious (crispy on the outside, really soft and tasty on the inside). I had a mix of beef and pork and my partner had the veggie roast, big portions and everything was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Finished off with their eaton mess, which was to die for and perfectly presented (freshly made).Cocktails are incredible and service was extremely good.I would not hesitate to go back for more food and drinks, highly recommended.

We went had a lovely meal here on our ‘date night’ on Wednesday 14/07/21 and it was lovely. The service was excellent the food was delicious and company was perfect. Can’t wait to go again.

The 3 stars are for the attractive exterior and lovely garden and seating plus the pleasant waiting staff. It hasn’t gained 5 stars due to the food quality. We went as a couple as holidaying nearby. Caesar’s Salad was flooded with dressing which puddled in the bottom so instead of a nice crisp salad complemented by the dressing, it was dripping and rendered the bottom of the salad inedible. The Chicken escalope burger was burnt almost black on the outside, which the chef clearly thought was hidden inside the bun - apart from the onion rings, it was deemed as having ‘no flavour’ We thought we’d try a second time with family. 3 pizzas ordered, one was sent back as no colour and undercooked. However as the pizzas were eaten, the poor quality of the base became obvious. It wasn’t a pizza dough, but like a cheap white bread base and again undercooked and not crispy. When asked if we’d enjoyed the meal, we politely explained why we hadnt enjoyed them. The manager came out with a refund for one pizza. Maybe we were just unlucky with our choices. But we wouldnt chance it a third time and ‘being busy’ on both occasions, isn’t an acceptable.

Staying nearby on holiday, and we wanted somewhere to go out for a meal on our last evening. There’s seven of us plus three dogs so it wasn’t easy finding somewhere, but this place could accommodate us. We were not disappointed. Although the menu was standard pub grub, was lovely and portions massive! Our children (11 and 13) both ordered from the adult menu , but the kids’ menu portions would have been plenty, at least for the 11 year old. Service excellent and quick, even though it was busy by the time we left. They have a very handy call button at the tables, which worked really well. Definitely recommended!!

Lovely food, great service, loved the call function at the table. Spacious, lovely setting and clean. Will visit again. 2 min walk from the Caravan and Motorhome Club Site.

Just visited this pub. Arrived early but accommodate us because they wasn't busy. Booked in at the bar. Told us what table we had. Track and trace and waitress service at table. Ordered out Sunday dinner and wine excellent meal, Quick service although got wine wrong was quickly resolved. Had our meal Sunday roast excellent meal and dessert. Well recommended and a nice end too our holiday.

A business that early on built extra outside covered space. Massive screens to protect bar staff.. table order... Wifi table calls... Can handle large group AND good beer and good.

Visited here twice whilst staying nearby. Had the vegan open lasagne which was really tasty and a decent sized portion especially after climbing snowdon. Service was quick and friendly even though it was super busy as the football was on !!

Lovely food, friendly staff and a great restaurant. I had a problem with my meal and they were kind enough to take my pudding off the bill in replacement, we will be returning.

Very fast, efficient service, good food and friendly staff. Table call buttons are great and the staff responded very quickly. The weather was good and so the children enjoyed the playground. Ideal when staying at the campsite opposite.

We stayed at caravan site for a week so called here most days. We were made very welcome lovely big beer garden and play area kids loved it. Staff were very friendly and the service was very good. We had a meal on last day which was excellent everyone enjoyed their meal generous size portions I would definately recommend

We were late arriving (under estimated the walk) but so relived they kept our table as it was so busy, Each table has a call button which worked brilliant, much better than APPS etc that are just frustrating. The service was pretty quick given how busy it was. Our food order did not go through BUT the point is how well is was then dealt with (free drink or dessert) so swiftly. Portions are generous but quality still good, I had the seabass. I was there to watch football as well as eat, so there was a section for those wanting football, and other sections for families, nice to see some common sense management. Atmosphere all round was great and all staff and food really top drawer.
