Beautiful, quaint little cafe within a peaceful garden space. Its a really lovely place. The food was very nice (we ordered 2 pizzas and some soft drinks). The area is lovely, its very dog friendly and the staff are really kind and welcoming! Would highly recommend and we hope to return in the future if we come back to Somerset.

A beautiful cottage style garden in a lovely setting, with plants for sale. Visit for the garden alone, because sadly the food is poor and overpriced. My quiche was a small, flat, dry little piece served with a few salad leaves. Very disappointing and tasteless. The lemon cake was good but my daughter’s courgette and pistachio cake was very dry. Go for the garden which is well worth a visit and maybe have a cup of coffee or tea, which was served in pretty vintage china cups.

We tend to visit the Walled Garden half way through our walk. I love the setting, the garden is stunning and the plants for sale are all beautiful! I wish I could carry them all home. The pizzas are tasty, as are the salads and other foods.

A lovely garden with secluded spots to sit in amongst the borders. A small range of foods available with the speciality wood fired pizza but quiche and sausage rolls also available served with or without Greek or garden salad. Gluten free and vegan options available too. No plastic visible and most reusable except pizza boxes.

Stumbled onto this en route for a walk. Great place to eat, tables were scattered throughout a great garden. The food was great, there were even options for my partner who is very lactose intolerant, and the price was very good. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful setting and gardens, well worth a visit. Food, um not so good, avoid the quiche, served fridge cold with small salad on tiny plate, pizza, nice thin and well cooked bottom, topping a little sparse, cost, a wallet emptying £12

Amazingly beautiful garden and friendly staff, food prices are what could be expected, sadly the quality is not. Cakes dry but serviceable, pizza really ought to be thinner, baked better and contain some decent ingredients. Also questionable sustainability ethos – more single use packaging than a festival. When asked this is apparently still due to Covid.

Stunning gardens and an incredible location! Charming staff at the café but disappointing food - pizzas really could and should be better quality for the price and the cakes were disappointing. Not sure when the throwaway cups will go again post covid, it is a shame not to have real cups 😝🧓

I've been here a few times after being recommend by a friend. In the past its been really relaxing and a lovely place to visit. We decided to visit again recently to relax and have a spot of lunch. We ordered 3 pizzas and some other bits and pieces, such as cake and drinks. When we ordered pizzas we were given a buzzer that tells us when the pizzas are ready for collection. We found a table and waited...and waited. 35 minutes later one of the staff walked past and asked if we had ordered pizza, we said yes and confirmed our ordered number. He gave us the pizza and said that they'd been waiting for someone to collect. I pointed out that our buzzer had gone off and that we'd been sat patiently as the place seemed busy. The staff member just said "Oh well, the buzzer must be faulty" and walked off. We opened our pizza boxes and was quite surprised by how small the pizzas were initially, but they looked good, so it didn't matter (although for £10 each I was expecting more). The pizzas were barely warm as they had been sat on a counter waiting to be collected. My wife's pizza (Salami) didn't really have any taste. By this point I was getting a bit annoyed, this was made worse by some snobby family turning up and thinking they owned the place. They were having a birthday celebration in a reserved area, but despite this, the mother decided to shout across half the garden their pizza order and that her teenage daughter didn't want something on her pizza. "Moo doesn't want basil on her pizza" screamed the mother, the daughter who was stood next to mother then also shouted "that he likes basil, but didn't want any". The reason I mention this is that generally there wasn't social distancing going on. There was a one way system for ordering food, but that was it. I feel like the there should be more in place to stop people standing next to another table and shouting their order over

Someone has really dropped the ball here. I've visited the Walled Garden several times before but was very disappointed today. There's a point where the "soft and informal" planting described on the website is just tired and neglected. Gone are the lovely old olive trees in pots, replaced with some fairly dull perennials. The fountain in the middle of the pond wasn't on. The only plants for sale were fairly tatty and a limited selection. We were made to feel quite uncomfortable walking through the section at the back wall by a group of women who were having a baby shower and had colonised on large bench. The roses on the rear wall badly need dead-heading. Actually the entire garden could do with a bit of care. It just looks tired... and it's only June. On the plus side, we had a nice coffee and cake and the staff were very nice.

Tucked away in this stunning corner of Somerset, The Walled Garden at Mells is exactly the sort of place that one hopes to stumble across when the sun is out, when the kids are squabbling in the backseat of the car, and when small (and large) tummies are grumbling. We found it on just such a day. The gardens with their old-English flowerbeds and weathered walls, are quite simply beautiful. The staff are delightful, and the wood-fired pizzas were probably the best that we have ever had. Not bad for a chance find in May.

I needed somewhere to have lunch whilst I work and Good Earth was on my list. This place is cosy yet full of character and life. It was busy downstairs so conveniently I went upstairs where I was quieter. My quiche salad was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend this place for those who want a coffee and a chat with old friends, that’s definitely the vibe I got from the customers.
