Excellent family Sunday lunch in our local. Food beautifully cooked, 3 meat choice Beef, Chicken and Gammon. Homemade Yorkshires were the business, and Becky kindly provided peas as requested! Lovely atmosphere and good value. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This pub has had so many changes over the years the last decade, but Frank & Becky have breathed fresh life into the place. Great beer, great food, friendly atmosphere and also great events! Quiz nights, wine tasting, sip & paint, and bingo, can’t wait to see what they do in the summer!

Had an lovely lunch this afternoon with my family. Frank and his team are so welcoming and service was top tier. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Special dietry requirements were honoured and they even ordered gluten free desserts in especially for us. Log fire was lit, atmosphere amazing. Pub was spotless and looks so nice. Thank you. Will be back soon. The Waggon and Horses If you haven't been down recently since Frank and his team have taken over, you should. Its now everything a lovely village local pub should be. We forgot to take pics of our lovely food but got some of desserts. Definitely now a 5 star pub. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Can't wait to go back often now. Soon they be offering Sunday roasts!!! 😃

Always driven past this pub and decided to go in just before Christmas. We were met with a lovely atmosphere, friendly locals, warm fire and a great selection of drinks. Myself, my wife and two young children felt very comfortable here. Our children were even given colouring books by the landlord. Looking forward to going back and booking a table for food. Great to find a real British pub as they are hard to find nowadays.

Took my Dad for Sunday Roast today here and it was absolutely delicious, thank you! Lovely little village pub. We both had roast beef and gammon with all the trimmings and cauliflower cheese (highly recommend adding this!) it was my first roast for quite a while and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite!! Everyone was very welcoming and attentive, Rheanna the lady who runs it was brilliant and made sure we were both very much looked after and ensured we had everything we needed. My only disappointment was I couldn’t fit in dessert 😂 so I’ll be back soon!

We had met up with family in Wimpole Cambs to visit the national trust estate. We were hungry, but not familiar with the area we took to Google . This place jumped out, so I made a call asking if they were open for 6 of us to come in for food. Thankfully they said yes so we started off back to the cars. We took longer getting back, so it was about 3.20 by the time we arrived & then we realised that they had stayed open just for us! The service from Sheenah & the food was awesome. We'll definitely go back. Thank you so very much

As a long time user of the pub, it is very refreshing to see someone with an genuine sense of community, the pub has had a long over refurbishment. The menu is traditional pub fair, which suits most budgets. This may seem biased but I do wish the landlord a lot of success and hope his passion for serving community continues.

The Waggon & Horses is a 17th Century traditional English pub in the village of Steeple Morden, about 14 miles to the South West of Cambridge. We have lived in the village since 2003 and in that time the pub has changed hands several times. In the defence of the previous owners, it has a small restaurant separated from the bar area with about 15 -20 covers and getting the business right for the village and offering what the customers wants was always open to debate.

Just recently revamped and with new hosts, the Waggon and Horses is getting some much needed TLC again. We ate there (family meal) on a Sunday in May 2017 and were very surprised at the quantity and quality of the meal. Not expensive either. The meal was varied, with an assortment of veg and the gravy was first class as were the roast potatoes and parsnips. Lovely, actually there was too much for me so my left overs were duly doggy bagged and taken away. Polished off later for supper. That's what I call good value and an extremely appetising meal. We have eaten here on other occasions and have not been disappointed with the food, the new hosts or the staff - all good!!

We tried the Waggon after many years of sad and unsatisfactory decline, and were pleasantly surprised. The new team are just in place, so getting up to speed, but they bring a lot of experience and seem to know how to run a village pub....with food. The place was clean (which is a massive improvement), served good beer, and the food was terrific. We suffer from too many overpriced gastro-pubs locally, which I love going to for a treat, but we may be lack 'pub grub' and the new Waggon team have righted that. Chicken peri peri, ribs and chips, and beer / wine, for a very reasonable price. interestingly I have noticed my friends and neighbours back in the pub after many years of absence. And this is before they get the full menu up and running. Talking to the team, they seem knowledgeable, experienced and a nice chat. So things bode well for Steeple's pub. We'll be back if they keep on this path.

Visited with friends. This pub has gone through 5 landlords in almost as many years. As a local, I would really love to see it succeed. However, they have not got the new chef broken in yet and if they are relying on the culinary skills I witnessed, then, they might shortly make it 6 landlords. The food needs to be massively improved. Of the plates that came to table some were cold, others overcooked, need I go on? The Steak eaters however, were happy, so perhaps there is some hope.
