We've been drinking here for over two years now and up until about a month ago, they served a wide range of well kept beer. Then mysteriously the beer is being served warm. They say it's something to do with the cellar but they're not doing anything about it. Great shame as it's a great drinkers pub with friendly staff and traditional decor. The cider is cold.

This used to be an awesome pub but since the ownership started to change every other week the quality of their ale has been acceptable at best. Real shame as this used to be my pub to compare others to (for quality of drink). These days I can't bring myself to recommend it at all.

My friend John works immediately opposite the Waggon and Horses. He took me there for a great steak cob and fabulous beer. Drew is the landlord who keeps the beer superbly. I recommend this venue very highly and look forward to my next visit. I live 150 miles away now but originally from the Black Country. This is a lovely genuine Black Country pub with great atmosphere, very good friendly service and well worth a visit.

A real, real ale pub. I moved down to the Midlands 15 years ago. I wasn't a regular, but occasionally went in. I went in for a work meeting at lunch time, last week. To me, time has stood still here (In a good way). The ale is still good, it's friendly and the place has a soul. If you are reading this review, it's probably not your local and you would already know about it. It's not somehwere you would come before the waterfront or town, unless your Dad was sorting you out a cheeky pint. Grab a handmade sausage roll, sit by the fire and sup your tangy Voodoo, listening to conversations about nothing, you'll be glad you did...

Love this pub as its a real ale house. Always have a great time here but this visit wasn't so good, mainly because a lot of the beers were not available. It's had several changes of landlord over the last few years so not sure what's going on with the place but the current one is great bloke. Very chatty and knows his beers. Give it a try, even with fewer beers than expected its still a great place. Scotch egg was lovely.

Visited the pub on Saturday evening (22/10) . The place seemed to be quite busy but we found a table up by the fireplace. We have visited many times and found it to be a true drinkers pub with no loud music and good beers. Unfortunately on Saturday the tables and the bar were covered with used glasses and the tables hadnt been cleaned. Also we couldn't hear ourselves talk over the loud music being played through the speakers. The list of available beers and ciders was not shown and when my husband asked why there wasn't any satisfactory response. There was none of the usual food snacks on offer either. For me the worst thing was when I visited the ladies toilet the waste bin by the wash basin used for used hand towells was overflowing all across the floor. I really didn't want to write this review but the pub will loose all its regulars, the true real ale drinkers who I'm sure have been very loyal over the years. It may be just a one off bad night. I truly hope so.
