Unfortunately my ribeye meal was very disappointing the meat tasted good but not ribeye, the chip where hard and very thin mushrooms not edible tomato satisfactory, onion rings satisfactory but small left almost all the chips and mushrooms when my plate was collected I was asked if it was ok,l explained about chips and mushrooms but no comment £17:00 will not eat hear again, but in the past it's was always good, must have changed hands, wish I had my phone so I could have taken a picture.

This was our most recent trip to our Black Country Heritage with the rare treat that someone else was paying. We were not disappointed. Having turned our watches back 50 years we were greeted by Sam, a very charming Staffordshire terrier who took a shine to our bitch who objected to Sam's intimate sniffing. No blood was lost and we proceeded into the Victorian splendour of the interior pausing to greet the land lord Mr. Tim who was as always, very formally Dressed. We ordered Lasagne, and ploughman's with extra chips. Time passed whilst the Bumble hole Ale was sipped and a relaxing warmth began to guide our conversation. The Bumble hole was much better this time, As it was evident that the new head Brewer is getting fully familiar with his craft. Lunch: what comment can be made? Well it was well presented; good value and thoroughly excellent fare- the only negative would be the pork pie was pink- meaning it was a cured meat rather than Pork. I would not expect this from such an excellent establishment. But today's triumph was the chips; golden, crispy, irregular tasty chips made of potato. Add Helleman's Mayonnaise and a degree of contentment spread over the team. The Lasagne was competently executed, with a salad and some more of those chips. The chips were so good we ordered a resupply mid meal. Mr Tim, please keep up the good work.

The Old Swan ('Ma Pardoe's') takes its nickname from Mrs Doris Pardoe licensee until 1984. The pub is grade 2 listed, it's unspoilt interior is recognised as being of national importance, unchanged since Victorian times the enamel panelled ceiling in the front bar is an incredible rarity. The pub also has its own brewhouse and still brews its own beer. Good beer Good Food one of my favourite pubs in all of England.

Travelling through on a narrowboat we ALWAYS stop for a pint or three! Their ales are really good with something for almost any ale drinker. In fact we have been know to make a detour in order to visit. However we have just had a Sunday roast that would be hard to beat anywhere! The beef was beautiful, tender and tasty. The homemade Yorkshire puddings were to die for, and I'm not usually a great fan! Plenty of roasties, new potatoes and veg along with a generous amount of the most delicious gravy. Absolutely perfect. Fantastic value. Thanks so much.

This is a wonderful old eclectic pub serving beers from its own brewery. They're top quality and come at great prices. We didn't eat, but we spoke to people who said the food is just as good as its beers. Pubs like this are disappearing at an alarming rate. Use them or lose them. Make sure this remains open to continue serving the community and visitors like myself. Go and enjoy a good ale served by friendly bartenders who'll give you good information on their range.

The Old Swan - known locally as Ma Pardoe's - I have heard good things about this place for years, but never actually visited it until last weekend. The food was excellent - a good selection, well presented, excellent taste, served by very nice staff - what more could you want. Well if you want more, and you are a real ale fan - they brew their own beer next door - excellent selection of beer and at a very good price. We had 2 main meals, 3 pints of beer and 3 soft drinks, all for £42.35 (almost fell off my seat at the excellent price) Large car park at the rear, a real old fashioned Black Country pub - if like me you have heard of it but not yet gone to it - GO NOW you will not be disappointed.

Always loved this pub as it is very local & friendly recently they changed the rules and started to let children in, which has been great as a family with younger children so we have been visiting near enough once a week l, sometimes more & also introduced others but unfortunately management have again stopped allowing children in so this will end our weekly visits here, It never seemed very busy when we have been in recently so to turn away our custom seems ridiculous! We are very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere to take Outlook custom.

I went inside to order as I don't go often and am not sure of the menu/ what comes in a meal etc. I looked at the menu for a while before a male server asked if I wanted him to take my order. I replied "yes please"as I don't like using the touch screens anywhere. I find them time consuming and prefer to deal with a human. The two touch screens were in use at this time and one person(who looked as if they would prefer a human to just take their order) was being guided through it by an employee. The male employee then told me that actually I had to use the touch screen( I think the female employee communicated this to him). I said that I didn't want to use the touch screen and some people do not like using them. The female employee then said "you've got to" 😂 No, actually I haven't. As KFC clearly didn't want my money and could do with some training in customer service(I work in this sector), I left and went and spent my money elsewhere, served by a human. I won't be back.
