We visited with elderly inlaws on 31 July. A highpoint was going to be the cafe. Unfortunately there were no signs to tell us the cafe was closed until we got to the door. By then the inlaws were v tired and needed to sit down with a cup of tea etc. We had to drive back into Frodsham to find somewhere. Such a shame. More notices would help.

Visited a week ago and really enjoyed it, had the stilton and broccoli soup which was delicious. Yesterday's visit wasn't so good. I had the quiche and salad, I thought the menu said it came with crusty bread but may be mistaken on that. The quiche was ok if a bit on the small side. The salad consisted of some shredded lettuce, a few slices of tomato and three slices of cucumber. More of a garnish than part of a meal, and half a slice of brown bread. It wouldn't have taken much to lift this from a disappointing offering to a more interesting meal. A few diced peppers and onions maybe a bit of slaw and a roll or chunk of crusty bread would have made all the difference and at negligible cost to the business. It's these little touches that make the difference between a return visit or not.

Visited today and usually pleased with the quality of the food, however, today we found it really over priced for what we received, cheap, thin bread for toast, used margarine not butter, cheap beans, won’t be returning sadly. The decking area needs a good clean too, you want your environment to be clean especially if you’re eating.

My last visit I had no problems, however this time around was a little dissappointing. I had a little look on their Facebook page to find a menu and saw they did a vegan breakfast so after our stay at Lady Heyes glamping we decided to have breakfast at the Vintage Tea Pot. When we arrived there was one member of staff running around and the others standing around talking. Considering the new way of doing things we wasn't sure if we could just find a seat so we were just standing around for ages waiting for some information. After a long while we just found a table and looked through the menu and there were just baps avaliable only one of which we could eat so unfortunately had to go elsewhere.

I really wanted this to be nicer. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and service was efficient. However the food was thrown on the plate, the side salads was half an iceberg which hadn’t been cut up the plate looked a mess. We ordered two panini, they had been toasted on one side and the the toppings chucked in and just grilled open, leaving just a mess of yellow and lettuce on a plate. I had a jacket potato with cheese and onion in the absence of anything else exotic, the potato was cold sadly. With a bit more variety, some thought put into presentation and a working microwave it could be much better. All things within their control.

I really wanted to give this more than 3/5 but unfortunately I found it to be overpriced for what they were offering. Nearly £10 for soup and a sandwich?? The soup was lovely and you could tell it was homemade but the sandwich was just a sandwich, nothing special. We also had an issue with the pods outside which hadn't been cleaned and in a time like this I think that should have been high priority. I think this place could be really good but with the prices they have and what they are offering I find it unlikely I will be visiting again.

Our first visit to Lady Heys and to the Vintage tea rooms, what a lovely gem of a place like stepping back in time, all very chintz and very welcoming staff. My husband Conrad and myself both had the afternoon tea, I even had a cheeky glass of prossecco with it, the afternoon tea served on China played and cup always visually better. The food stole the show though lovely sandwiches, a mixture of tuna, ham and cheese, a large scone each Conrad had a cherry one and I had the fruit served with butter, jam, cream and strawberries, on top of this a lovely selection of cakes which were all totally delicious. If you want a traditional afternoon tea then this place is a must you won't regret it .

Begrudgingly have gave it 1 star due to being unable to select 0. £7.50 for a big breakfast which was devoid of any finesse. Bacon looked like it had been given 30 seconds each side on the pan and eggs were diabolical in all fairness. Not a sign of black pudding or a hash brown in sight despite charging you prices one can only assume are going towards the aloborate waitresses outfits, maybe a partial contribution to their wage may negotiate a smile. The waitresses could do with a crash course in basic humanity before embarking on a journey towards one in basic Customer service that may come in years ahead. I have never been to prison however suspect it is quite similar to the food served up here. This may seem harsh but to charge these prices, without anything remotely resembling justification without as much of a smile is quite frankly shocking. Avoid at all costs.

We were visiting the restoration / antique shops and called into the tearoom for lunch . Lots of lovely cake on display and we opted for homemade chicken broth followed by scone with jam and cream .. The soup was lovely served with chunk of brown bread and butter. The scones were served on a lovely cake stand with fresh strawberries and were ok but a little in the dry side. I also prefer my scones served warm but that just personal preference . We enjoyed our visit and would go back if were ever in the area again.

We camp at ladyheyes every year. What have they done to the club house!?! Last year it was great fun with lots of atmosphere and reasonable prices. This year the prices have shot up,very little menu choice and it feels more suited to Octogenarian ladies than a family campsite clubhouse. Reading reviews, was very surprised by an unhappy customer, as she couldn’t bring her dog in. Firstly the we all ordered 2 soups which tasted microwaved and was a water like consistency and a roast turkey sandwich, with the soups the breads were stale and spreading the butter was like spreading a stone on to your bread. In addition to this, the ‘roast turkey sandwich’ was even worse and could even say butter sandwich with the unhealthy amount of butter on it. The roast turkey was little processed turkey slices that you would probably find in Lunchables you get from the CO OP. However though, it wasn’t just the contents of the sandwiches it was the thin paper like slices of bread that you could probably watch the TV through. But at least the coffee was nice.

This time round i was extremely disappointed to find the afternoon tea had gone up in price and was only a plain ham sandwich. Plain grated red cheese sandwich. And tuna mayonnaise sandwich. No salad garnish or cucumber with the tuna highly disappointed and wont be visiting again the tables was rammed with dirty dishes and there was cutlery on the floor that the staff walked passed at least 4 times. I picked it up myself in the end (was a previous customer on the table behind us). Prices have gone up but quality has gone down such a shame as this was once a lovely tea room for afternoon tea and has been advised by myself to many.

Teas, Coffee, soft drinks; scones, sandwiches, Quiche, pies etc. all served with a smile. Narrow corridor may make it difficult for prams and wheelchairs but it's not impassable and there is access to an outside courtyard. As a fairly frequent visitor to Lady Hayes we have dropped in on several occasions and none have been disappointing. Pot of tea (for 1) holds about 3 cups as does the pot of coffee. Scones and sandwiches have always been enjoyable but would prefer apricot jam with my apricot scone! we'll be back in a few weeks I'm sure.

We went to take a look around the Antique centre and whilst there came across The Vintage Teapot Tea Room...I knew from the outset that it was going to be special. As you walk up to the front door there are tables set up on the alley way decorated in a vintage manner, it felt like going into someone's tea party. As you enter the tea room the theme continues and you are welcomed by two lovely people behind the counter with a lovely smile. Straight away the display on the counter hits you and draws you in. The choice of cake was simply amazing, they all looked delicious and great value. My first thoughts were such a change from those corporate coffee shop chains and breath of fresh air. We choose our drinks and cakes - you must try the amazing cherry cake..OMG. We then sat down whilst the cakes and drink were prepared. The ambience of the café is so cosy and welcoming. The service delivered was Ist class and on leaving we were thanked and wished goodbye. We will certainly be coming back....you must try it!!

Charming little vintage tea room, seating inside and out. Lovely home made soup, a nice pot of tea, delicious cake and a very friendly welcome. The lady even provided us with a hot water bottle to hold as it was a little chilly! (Throws on each chair too, lovely touch!)

Called in after getting our Christmas tree in the forest. Not been to Lady Hays for a while since the old café changed to the new big one that caters for the campers. Saw the signs for the café and thought we would try. Not disappointed and will come back again as we were regular visitors to the centre. Tea, coffee and cakes were all good on a cold day and while the owner is arranging some heating (it is new) it was a good way to keep warm. I highly recommend this place and ask that people support the two ladies in their venture. Good luck to you and see you in the new year.

If you are looking for the nicest, freshest cakes, scones and other yummy things you should head for The Vintage Teapot at Lady Heyes just outside Frodsham. Either before or after browsing the amazing record shop next door or the other interesting antique shops etc make sure you leave time for a cup of tea and a piece cake!! Everything is homemade and the service in this groovy tea shop is wonderful!! Highly Recommended!!

Stopped off for a cuppa and a cake and got Sooo much more. Fantastic range of cakes and scones, good pricing but the wow factor is in the presentation. Each scone was presented on it's own layer of a cake stand with jam in a little jar, cream and a little piece of fresh fruit. An absolute treat and absolutely delicious. Plus a proper pot of tea with posh china cups and to top it off lovely friendly service and a great retro feel to the decor.

My wife and I discovered this gem when we stopped on Thursday afternoon for a cup of tea. We had a wonderful warm welcome, and couldn't resist the £4.90 cream tea offer. Choice of fruit or cherry scones with jam and clotted cream, or apricot scone with fresh apricot and cream, or cheese scones with cheese. Scones and cakes are all home made, we could fancy everything. Cake stand, individual pots of butter, jam and clotted cream. Proper china teapots, teacups and saucers.

The wife visited The Vintage Teapot without me last week and said that she had had delicious chocolate fudge cake and a pot of very nice tea. Feeling very jealous I insisted that we both visit today. I was not disappointed. We both had the cream tea (even though mine was coffee), a warm fruit scone each with butter, jam and clotted cream, all served on a cake stand. Beloved wife had a pot of tea with hers and mine was served with a pot of coffee. The cake looked scrumptious, as did the sandwiches going past our table. All very nice and highly recommended.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
