If you want a good pint like the old days without children running around all over the place, then this is the pub to visit. Good old fashion draught ale. Sky sports on big screen tv's, good quality pool tables.

Came all the way from Cumbria for a little holiday and heard about these Yorkshire roast dinner wraps. Give them a try and oh my ! They are to d*e for ! Definitely something I'll go back for ! I had chicken in mine and it was absolutely perfect and on point. The owners are an absolute delight also ! Definitely a recommended spot !

Visited this place to watch a local band, (Sam Evans). First thing I noticed was that NO KIDS are allowed. I guess it's not a family orientated establishment. The place itself was lovely. Loads of outside seating, a sizeable bar, pool table, sport TV, and of course, the Treehouse. The gig room is small, but very well equipped with its own bar, sound system and lighting. There's enough room for about 100 people or so I guess. It was a fantastic atmosphere in The Treehouse, but the lower main bar was maybe not so welcoming. Either way, it's a great place to have a pint and enjoy some amazing music.

Regular pub with an upstairs venue surprising range and quality of performer linked to the cheese and grain so quite well known acts doing their thing. Picturs if old ( sorry boys ) stalwarts 9 below 0 acoustic performance last drizzly Friday night they were great.

Enjoyed watching Splintering Heart (Marillion tribute act). Great sound and atmosphere. Brilliant staff, really helped when one of our party was unwell, and also made provision in advance for a disabled member of our party. Highly recommended.

Came for a gig in the venue upstairs. The old website listed food but it's now a wet pub only. We were caught out as we'd expected to eat. The staff were wonderful and allowed us to grab some chips and eat them there with our pints. Bliss. They even provided napkins and cutlery. Wonderful service, thank you! The beer was well kept too, will definitely be back.

This review is for the Tree House venue rather than the Vine Tree pub. A really good venue for seeing local bands play - it's quite small at circa 100 people max, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Old fashioned pub with a modern touch. The previous owner *Amanda Rayer* wasn’t a proper business minded woman to run the business accurately . God bless that the pubs holding came into right hand . Highly recommended
