Went to The Tree House for a gig on Friday. It is a great little venue, I think with a 100 capacity, staffed by lovely people. Not our first visit, and we will definitely be back. No review for the food as we didn't eat.

Gig venue over a boozer. Doesn't serve fo od on Mon thru Thursday, gig was on a Monday. Come straight from work - starving. Gig room holds a couple of hundred, tiny bar in corner. Acoustics truly appalling. Parking for maybe 30 cars, would I come again? Not if the act was playing somewhere else within 25 miles

If you want a good pint like the old days without children running around all over the place, then this is the pub to visit. Good old fashion draught ale. Sky sports on big screen tv's, good quality pool tables.

I had chicken in mine and it was absolutely perfect and on point. The owners are an absolute delight also ! Definitely a recommended spot !

Visited this place to watch a local band, (Sam Evans). First thing I noticed was that NO KIDS are allowed. I guess it's not a family orientated establishment. The place itself was lovely. Loads of outside seating, a sizeable bar, pool table, sport TV, and of course, the Treehouse. The gig room is small, but very well equipped with its own bar, sound system and lighting. There's enough room for about 100 people or so I guess. It was a fantastic atmosphere in The Treehouse, but the lower main bar was maybe not so welcoming. Either way, it's a great place to have a pint and enjoy some amazing music.

Came for a gig in the venue upstairs. The old website listed food but it's now a wet pub only. We were caught out as we'd expected to eat. The staff were wonderful and allowed us to grab some chips and eat them there with our pints. Bliss. They even provided napkins and cutlery. Wonderful service, thank you! The beer was well kept too, will definitely be back.

This review is for the Tree House venue rather than the Vine Tree pub. A really good venue for seeing local bands play - it's quite small at circa 100 people max, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Visited earlier in the week and booked an 8.30pm table a couple of days in advance, on the day we received a call from the restaurant asking if we could move the time to an earlier slot so the chefs can clean the ovens... though thinking it was a strange ask we agreed to the ask. When we got there we had a decent enough meal, where we were served by the same lady who called us earlier in the day. We ordered a bottle of wine with the meal which arrived corked and was told I would need to open it myself. OK, again strange but we did it without complaint. Once we finished the meal we moved to the bar area for a couple of drinks (before 9pm), we sat and watched the same waitress start to close all of the blinds in the place and hovering over people's tables for anything she could see was finished with. By the time we got to 9.30 she came over to all the tables being used and asked 'are you finishing up?' we said not yet as we had only got some new drinks. People obviously felt uncomfortable as other tables did finish up and leave after that, leaving us as the last table. As soon as that was the case the waitress then came back to our table to tell us 'just to let you know that we are the last ones at the bar now'. So we basically were hounded out of the place by 9.45pm! We finished our drinks and started walking out, guess who followed us with the keys... yes the same super waitress who locked up as soon as we were through the doors. Lovely send off! What was supposed to be a nice meal out ended up being a pretty unpleasant experience. Shame as people have said good things about this place but if that is how the staff act then I wouldn't waste your cash there. There was obviously a plan to get people out as early as possible so the staff could finish up and go home, starting with the phone call. Shocking experience all round.

Visited Glastonbury whilst on a weeks break in Crewkerne. Popped into to this lovely cafe as it was dog friendly. Forgetting my glasses I asked if they catered for gluten free, they did (it stated it on the menu). As I ordered the lady behind the counter asked if I was coeliac, I told her I was. When the food was brought to the table, the lady explained that she had cleaned the kitchen and prepared my food using all new unopened ingredients. All I had was a corned beef and onion sandwich, but the attention to detail was second to none. Really recommend this place to coeliacs and non coeliacs.

Unfortunately the veggie Sunday nut roast was inedible. It was neither nutty nor roasted, just a mush, unrecognisable as a 'roast'. The carrots hadn't been cleaned and were still gritty and the roast potatoes dry. On the plus side a decent gravy and good Yorkshire pudding. Very disappointing though, considering we bought into the generally favourable reviews that motivated us to try this place for Sunday lunch.
