I have used this restaurant many times for plaice and chips, and it was always good quality. However, on the last two occasions I ordered this, they delivered me via Just Eat, a triple battered piece of plaice. Once this batter was removed it revealed a tiny portion of fish that was a complete insult for the £9.90 I had been charged. Steer well clear!

My husband ordered a kebab. We watched them put a frozen kebab on to heat, they then shaved some meat off and supposedly heated it. When we opened it at home the meat was pale and cold. Hard to believe that they found serving this safe and acceptable .The chicken strips which we also ordered were the size of a small stretched nugget, so small that they were sliding around the bottom of the box. A shop not to be visited again.

Good fish and chips - visited for the second time and was as good as my initial visit. I asked for crispy haddock which was pleasant, along with the chips which were not greasy. My friend was also impressed with the quality.

A Deliveroo meal x 2. We use Village Fish and Chips at least twice a month. What we received at 4.30 today was inedible. The batter on the fish had a layer of oil on it and I poured it off and tried to bring it to life in the air fryer but it was dead. The chips were limp and soggy and the container had a layer of runny oil. It all tasted like lunchtime leftover reheated. What happened to the normally good food? Has the shop got new owners?

Ordered medium sized Fish and Chips for evening dinner as a treat. To my amazement on ordering they said regular size only fish and chips. On getting home and putting them I n plate, chips were not cooked too good and the portion was very small and not regular sized. Very disappointed. Beware of the small portions and don't get ripped off as it’s not worth £9.70.

We've had fish and chips here twice since we have been aware of it. The first time was fine and perfectly adequate although not the biggest portions. Tonight was totally different. Same order, 'bitty' chips, smaller bits of fish in far too much batter. Hasn't been open long and wont survive if they don't pull their socks up. We're going back to our former haunt. Overall disappointing

The burgers and chips were very good! The pies were not homemade. Other than that this place was a very great place for lunch

I ordered a mixed kebab and chips Kebab is delicious,the chicken is tikka style and makes a welcome change,everything is fresh, If you want good nice food,you got to try,this will now be my go too.thanks village,see u soon.keep up the good work

Visited here when first opened and was impressed with service, quality of food and price. Having visited there twice since then the place has lost its shine. The portion of food has dramatically reduced and although accept cost of living everything gone up. To feed a family or just to treat yourself there are better fish n chips places for both quality and price.

Ok so been waiting to try this place out since it opened. By chance I was in the area and didn’t realise it was just around the corner! Being a big eater I thought I’d sample most of the menu! Tried the lamb doner (large box), fish, chips, saveloy, battered sausage and curry sauce (had to have some the following day)! All I can say is there’s a reason there were long queues! Everything was cooked really well and the service from like the 100 manz behind the till was on point. Will def visit this place again when I’m in endz again. Hats off to the people who designed the interior👌🏽

Ordered through Uber eats. When my order got here the fish had a strong smell of ammonia. I called the restaurant and told them, they were very rude and insisted I was wrong. They were also aware that I had ordered through Uber eats but insisted I took the food back to them to prove it was gone off. Poor customer service! Don’t not order from here!

Finally a good chippy in uxbridge, we normally travel to ruislip for fish and chips but now we have one locally and not only is it close to home it's amazing the food is gorgeous the place is new and nicely decorated and very clean the fish and chips are so fresh and nicely battered not too greasy, and for a change there is more fish than batter, I've also tried the battered sausage which again is gorgeous, wasnt keen on the chicken burger but then we tried the chicken kebab and oh wow what a taste sensation, the chicken is tandoori flavoured and is so tasty we got a large meat and chips and the portion was huge. We could only eat about half of it but it was so nice we kept the chicken for the following day, never have I ever had a left over kebab before reasonably priced especially for the portion size I cant recommend this place highly enough thank you for coming to hillingdon and keep up the amazing job

Now, I was born and bred in Bham so you can trust my review when it comes to knowing what's a great, good or naff chippy. This new chippy took me back to when my childhood when myself and my friends from school would go down the local chippy for lunch (in the days when no-one was bothered about calories and fried food). Service is on point, the fish is freshly fried and the chips (unlike some chippy's) are made fresh. They also make scolops (potato fritters made from the fish batter) these you can only get from up north so I was really impressed. A must for any chippy lovers and definitely worth the drive wherever you live.

Newly opened restaurant - had take away Fish & Chips - some of the tastiest I have had in years - lovely fresh and light batter - on greasy. Also Veggie burger was nice. Well worth a visit! Will be going again!
