An excellent family run eatery, and a good variety of good fresh bread, happy friendly management, great during the summer months, as you can watch a game of grass roots cricket while eating during the summer and on Saturdays & Sundays you can watch junior football while you stay in the warm

Had the pleasure of visiting this morning , Lovely little place . Food & Coffee were fantastic ... What was even better was the exceptional customer service of Laura . Very welcoming attentive & couldn't do enough for me . Really lovely place & your staff are a credit to your business ! In the words of Arny ... I'll be back 💙 ( even if Laura's jokes are terrible ) hahaha .

Great food from a friendly family owned business.

As I work locally I thought I'd take my wife for a Saturday lunch so tried here, very nice food and quick service, maybe a bit small but enjoyed ourselves eating whilst watching the local cricket team

A beautiful day and a fantastic cafe! Friendly staff and good food. And the space! To be able to sit outside, having a cooked breakfast...... Heaven! And my friend enjoyed her vegetarian cooked breakfast too. What a lovely, blessed, relaxing, and enjoyable Sunday! Go if you can. 🙌🏾👏🏾😘😛👌🏾👍🏾!

A great local business set on the Halsall playing fields. Food is always good (the best breakfast around) and service friendly. pricing is good too. My brother who lives in London insists on a visit here when he pops up!

A brilliant little cafe. Went with our cycling club for lunch. Extremely accomodating. Food was delicious and served really quick to all 17 of us. Definitely going again.

I've been meaning to visit the village bakery again for a while since it reopened after lockdown and finally got there yesterday. Lovely warm atmosphere, prompt friendly service and my Latte and teacake were good too. A great place and in the park too. Couldn't be better.

Yes, have drove past a few times thought I would try it out. Quite small area seating inside but they also have quite a number of outside seats. Set in very nice grounds. Coffee was excellent. Food was good. Staff were polite and friendly. I would go again.

Excellent breakfast at a reasonable price..

Excellent cafe that I have driven past for years. But stopping I discovered a quality cafe serving ingredients that are obviously chosen for their quality. The real coffee is excellent and strong. The outdoor dog friendly area has seating so dry days are an extra treat here I'm so glad me and Zach discovered this gem. 🙂

Tasty food, ample choice. Good service.

We found it OK. Our first time. Breakfast wasn't great. Nice sausage. I'd go back for a sausage sarnie but my black pudding was hard. Way over cooked and we both had a still frozen hash brown. It's hard to make those hash browns nice but I would expect at least hot. Great coffee. It's in a very nice location with a country feel inside. Get the food right and it's an all round winner.

The easiest way to describe the bakehouse is it is homely tasty and small. It has a vast menu for its size with everything prepared openly and hygienically. They take orders and treat their clientèle with total respect. We are duty grandparents each Thursday and that is where we head to, it's almost automatic pilot. We recommend it to our friends hence we can do the same for you.

Excellent food and service, absoloutly huge homemade scones I was defeated Haha. Beautifully decorated and cosy.

Disappointed as I've been told its lovely here. Wasn't the best breakfast I've had. Avocado and poached eggs on toast, my eggs wasn't runny and the yoke wasnt even in the poached egg! They didn't drain the poached eggs so was just sitting in water on my avocado on toast which went soggy.

Charming family run café with their own freshly baked bread, pastries and homemade cuisine. The soup was to die for and the rest of the food looks equally appealing. They also have a selection of ice creams and places to sit outside. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality; even the coffee (cappuccino) was exceptional. There are two small childrens parks on the site and a big patch of well groomed grass between. Perfect for a quick stop on a family day out or even for a quick bite and a coffee and/or an ice cream.

Lovely little place to pop into for a bite to eat and to buy fresh baked items. A warm welcome from the staff. Nice big car park and a nice area to let the children play on the park. Dogs welcomed to so added bonus

Fabulous cafe. Excellent food, cooked as ordered. Very pleasant staff. Spotlessly clean. Parking. Excellent for disabled as ramp to entrance and tables not crowded in so can manoeuvre.
