The Viking Chefs in Shropshire

Delicious food on the lunch menu. We selected the open sandwich trio and the double hot dog and found them both to be delicious and filling (we have big appetites too). So much so that we couldn't resist a coffee and cake after lunch as they looked superb on display. They were were also a great portion size and super tasty. They had their own Viking non alcoholic beer which was a bonus. Lovely environment inside (but small so don't miss out by not booking). We will be returning!

Went to the wonderful special Aquavit evening. It was absolutely lovely, authentic Danish food couples with various Bornholm aquavits. Great portions, beautifully served at well paced intervals. Could not have been better. RECOMMENDED for all homesick Danes and those wanting to experience Dansk Hygge! We’ll be back. Thank you Erik and Sarah for a 5 ***** evening.

This local restaurant is exceptional. The food is divine and the hosts are lovely, a thoroughly pleasant experience every visit.

Unique, different , a gem ! What can you say , the food is of the highest quality and made with love and no little skill and invention . Nothing like this in the area for miles ( probably Birmingham) . Genuinely Scandinavian, and 5 star quality . Location lovely and cant wait to try the summer terrace . Service super efficient and helpful .You have to try it !

Went for the first time last night. Brilliant. We had a great night, the food was great, the staff were great, the atmosphere was great. Couldn't fault it!

Great small restaurant with an interesting lunch menu. The food is described fined for sharing and 2 or 3 plates are recommended. I had Danish frikkedellar, my husband had pork belly. Both beautifully presented small lunch portions. The coffee was good, the service unobtrusive and the views from the outside terrace are also good. Not fast food, but stunnngly good food. Also. A good stop for coffee and cake, or Fika.

We came for Brunch on a Sunday, despite being busy we were fit in on the patio where we had fantastic views of the valley. The food was all fantastic from the cooked breakfasts to baked goods, no one in our group of 5 was disappointed. Would recommend and hope one day to return!

We had the most lovely evening experiencing this special restaurant. The friendly environment is really special. Lovely variety of delicious food served with a smile. The plates were generous and very tasty especially the salmon with beetroot rosti and whipped feta salad. Absolutely delicious! All the staff were so delightful and they make you fee like you are in their own home. The weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace early evening but after dinner wasn’t a problem. The owners made sure it was cosy with sheepskin rugs outside enjoying the last of the evening view! This is totally unique, beautifully simple with a big pinch of beautiful Scandinavian love and style! Thank you we will definitely return!

Went to Viking chef for 3rd time today. This time we tried the brunch. Wonderful food, atmosphere and service, with lovely views of the river from the terrace out the back.

Fab friendly family run bistro/restaurant - delicious food - we love the Sunday brunch and the new small plate menu. We had a big selection of dishes and all were extremely tasty. A great find for us and we go regularly.

Lovely food with a Danish twist. Setting is great with modern decor and a large seating area outside with views of the river. All the team are friendly and professional with menu adjustments to suit dietary requirements.

Fabulous find on a chilly Friday in Bridgnorth. What a treat to find something really different, a Danish inspired restaurant. Very stylish, small but beautiful attention to detail. The menu is small too, but don't let that put you off. Two of us had a selection of 3 open sandwiches. The flavours were fresh and clean and looked beautiful on the plate. One of us opted for the meatballs with potatoes and red cabbage, marvelous on a cold day. Really looking forward to going back, they are doing a great job

5 out of 5. Food was excellent, service extremely friendly. If you are going to Bridgnorth, make sure you book a table. We will certainly be back to try something else on the menu.

The food was incredible, the welcome friendly. I was apprehensive about taking our 6 year old daughter her, but they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Sarah and the team were lovely and the food would be an absolutely treat for any foodie. I’ve been stalking them on Facebook for some time, the experience more than exceeded my high expectation.

Lovely little restaurant, pleasant and obliging, Staff. Good atmosphere. Clean and simple decor. Breakfast of creamy scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, delicious! Small menu, all sounded appetising. Would suggest they do breakfast/brunch on a Saturday as well as Sunday. Most people asked for it rather than lunch menu.

Really nice independent cafe / restaurant. Fresh prepared dishes with high quality ingredients. Owners are friendly and keen to make sure everything was as it should be. It was!! Lovely inside and a really comfy terrace out the back

We went for a rare date night without the kids. Absolutely beautiful inside, and a picturesque terrace with covers, heaters and blankets at the back. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The meatballs I had were delicious. Tom had the chowder and it was delightful. The smoked salmon is the best I've ever had. So, beautiful venue, wonderful food and amazing staff! Honestly can't wait to go back xx

Incredible! Amazing food, so different to what we usually would go for. Best brownie we’ve ever had. Love that they have a partnership with theatre on the steps and base their menu on the show of the evening. What an amazing idea!

You must visit this fantastic little restaurant if you are in/visiting Bridgnorth. Something totally different... The menu choice is small but varied and every dish is unbelievably tasty. I think I've tried literally everything on the menu now! The fish platter is excellent - good for one person - or have that and a few other dishes and share. The desserts are also wonderful. Brilliant wine choice too. The staff and chefs are so friendly and can't do enough to welcome you. The outside terrace seating area is lovely in good weather but it's just as nice inside. Highly recommend coming here.

Great wine tasting event last evening food was just out of this world, it looked like art on a plate and the tastes and texture of all the courses with the wine was just a true pleasure. Service was up beat and friendly could ask for more

Classic Danish Excellent. We had meatballs very authentic, fried haddock on sourdough with cold water prawns a caviar with mayo on the side. Best meal in last 12 months. Great selection of cakes a d pastries.

Excellent food, beautiful setting overlooking Bridgnorth and quick service. We were greeted by friendly staff and ordered from their very unique menu which specialised in fish. I had the fish platter which I would highly recommend. You have to try the cakes! A must have experience if visiting Bridgnorth

We had a lovely set menu evening fish meal. BBQ mackerel fillet starter and super succulent cod main with some amazing little tasty treats in between. Really lovely food and super service. We can’t wait for our next visit to this great little individual , independent restaurant.
