Just been in to Duttons and had an amazing meal served by Tom. The coffee and cake deal was fantastic highly recommend. Dutton’s is well and truly on the up

Come in most days the staff are very friendly and caring, especially emma the lunch menu is very nice and reasonable and will co tinge to support them .

Wow what an absolutely lovely place - we came here for Bank Holiday and we couldn’t have had a better experience - the atmosphere and staff were really lovely - food was spot on and we didn’t want to leave - maybe too much alcohol but it was such a great day and I would highly recommend - we were looked after by a really polite, professional and funny young lady called Ava I think - she couldn’t do enough and was always available to help or bring us anything we wanted - I would certainly be back very soon - A***

Brilliant Sunday Roast and nice atmosphere. Had the sharer platter with unlimited gravy and Yorkshires, so what’s not to love?

All covid measures in place. A limited menu but a good choice for all. Small fish and chips which to be honest could have been called a full portion Well presented and plenty of tartar sauce and mushy peas. Summer veg in tempura with dip, this was a starter but again I would say it was generous. Not too sure that the batter was tempura but tasty all the same. Table service - very attentive.

Thank you for a great meal last night, the staff were fantastic and we were really impressed with the procedures they had in place for Covid-19. We all felt safe and comfortable during our meal. I was recommended the homemade cheese and onion pie and it was amazing - would definitely recommend! The lemon sponge is a classic comfort dessert thank you!!

We went to our local for a lockdown meal, the food was perfect and the service couldn't have been better. will definitely be going back.

As usual these chain pubs, as with this one JW Lees, do not consider vegetarian options with any kind of care or culinary knowledge. Microwaved lasagne with little taste or filling,bit of limp rocket, shop bought garlic bread.I left with IBS ! Please update your menu as peoples eating preferences are changing

We went to Victorian to benefit from eat out to help out scheme. The food was brilliant and the service was great as well. Would be definitely going back there again.

This is our go to local pub as our children & dog are always made to feel welcome. Food is great and San Miguel on tap! Wonderful

We went in last night for dinner with the family. The food was very good. My fussy grandkids ate everything put in front of them. I had a fillet steak which was cooked absolutely perfectly. The service was great. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and in these strange times they make you feel really safe. The procedures they gave in place for COVID-19 safety were really good. We felt in good hands at all time. The manager worked really hard to make sure every table was being taken care of and felt safe. It was a pleasure to be there.

Very busy & noisy on a Friday night. Food & service are always good & prompt. Looked after by 2 young waitresses who were pleasant & polite.

A friend a myself visited the restaurant on Friday for a cheeky pub lunch and couldn’t have been more satisfied. We both went for the scampi and chips which came presented beautifully and taste lush. We also got a side of halloumi fries, the perfect side order! All came in good time, presented well, hot and by a lovely staff member.

Met up with a few friends for pre Christmas drinks. The pub was very busy but the service was still good. Shame the bitter wasn’t up to much, but it Lees so it was to be expected

Met with friends on a Friday evening... there were 5 couples .. good service .. clean pub pleasent new landlord and landlady very welcoming ... good night overall!!

This pub seems to re-incarnate itself every few years, from the Victoria, to the Orange Tree, to the New Victorian, now the Victorian. Tries to cater for all tastes - dining, Rugby on TV etc. Average service, reasonable food - I had some nice sea bass, but it would have been better with potatoes or chips rather than pasta. MPA beer was a bit musty, but it's the last what I would call real pub in Bramhall village, the others are all either micropubs or trendier bars.

Myself and my two daughters eat here on a Sunday lunchtime.When we arrived it was very quite but the staff behind the bar were excellent, greeting us with a smile and a friendly hello and happily answering our questions about the menu and using discount card.I had a pint of MPA and whilst not the best pint of the MPA I've ever had it was definitely not as bad as some reviews have said. Because it was quite the staff came and took our order at the table and we ordered the steak baguette, the fish and chips and chicken BLT with halloumi fries as a side.The food was all hot, freshly cooked and tasty with good sized portions of everything.In summary this us a good chain venue for food and drink at a reasonable price with friendly, attentive staff.

Called in for lunchtime snack. Only 2 people in the pub , but we waited about 30 minutes for our meal, and when it came it was poor. Wouldn’t bother eating here again

Found the Victorian to be a friendly pub bar staff were brilliant and very helpful food was served hot and very tasty will be going back also the boss and his partner were great couldn’t do enough for us thank you

Took my mother here for lunch. Had to shout for someone at the bar to be served. Eventually a woman came out and started filling up a glass with soda without acknowledging me and then finally said hello. In the meantime a grubby looking chef came out from the back and told her there were no toasties!! She then said to her that her burger was ready, to which the woman replied, yes when I eventually have time!! I then ordered a ham sandwich and half a beer. She asked me to wait a moment, then came back from the kitchen and told me there was no ham. This place is an absolute joke with very lazy staff! There are supermarkets and delis in Bramhall where you can buy ham!!! They do not deserve business, but then again that's what you come to expect from a brewery chain....rubbish! We ended up at a lovely independent cafe called Juniper where the food was lovely and the staff were delightful. A happy ending!!

Visited with a couple of friends recently. Love the relaxing atmosphere with plenty of little corner seats for a quiet few drinks. Staff were really friendly and nice to talk to when ordering a round. Ended up ordering some bits and bobs to share... and that was lovely too. Would defo go again... quite fancy trying the Sunday lunch.

Beer was fine on our visit as i like JW Lees. Had Manchester Pale Ale and a pint of CRAFT lager both were fine and good value for Bramhall. Had a Pizza and although it was a Tuesday we weren't informed there was a deal on for 2 pizzas on Tuesdays by the staff on the bar and also the pizza wasn't very nice either when it came. Hardly any topping except smothered in BBQ sauce to make up for it! Wont eat here again but will have drinks as we like the Vic as its a real pub.

Been going year after year with a load of mates on Xmas Eve. Every year, beer is so poor. This year pub half empty on Xmas Eve......soon obvious why, beer is worse than ever.

Visited for a family Sunday lunch. Good food, great selection of drinks and friendly staff. While we were there the pub was fairly quite so lacking a bit in atmosphere but overall we enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

Visited on Sunday August 19.Reunion of regulars from a recently closed pub in Stockport.Beer was o.k,food seemed good (i didn't eat),staff were friendly. All in all,pleasantly surprised.

Local to the Victorian and always had a great time, highly recommend it for drinks and food. Staff have always been super friendly too.

I would like to thank John and all his team for the fantastic effort they have put in whilst the World Cup has been on. Never more than 5 mins to get a drink at the busiest times (England games)!! Superb work by all.

Although there are plenty of wine bars in Bramhall, The Victorian remains the only pub. Good food, drinks at affordable prices and a friendly atmosphere. What’s not to like?

The only pub with a menu and yet the food is very poor and clearly cooked without any heart at all. I am a chicken wings connoisseur and these must take the 'WORST EVER' award here.

Lots of great events and the only place to watch any sport on the large screen TV's I love the Staff always so attentive. and friendly. The food is great and the pub has a great atmosphere. love it. oh and the wine is always nice a cold....

Booked the upper area for my hubby's surprise 50th birthday party and I couldn't have asked for better. Jon the landlord was so accommodating and on the night, Harriet really looked after us. The food was very good and excellent value for money. Definitely recommend. X

This is a typical pub with no pretentions. The food is ok and the beer is Lees which is a fairly average pint but it is what it says on the pump!

After not being able to get into another pub for lunch, we turned to The Victorian, and it’ll be my first AND last visit.

I have to take issue with a recent review, giving this bar 1 star. That's fair and inaccurate. I've been eating and drinking in this bar since moving to the local area 6 years ago, and it's consistently good. Now, it's not amazing food, but that's not the market it's aiming at (as the immediate area that surrounds it is incredibly competitive).

Would like to say thanks to the wonderful staff here at The Victorian. Once again we had excellent service and really good food when we visited yesterday lunch time.. My youngest daughter wanted to eat there again today!

Travel from Norway every month and make the Victorian my first stop.. excellent real pub atmosphere, friendly bar staff always smiling and helpful - I had never heard of a "Captain Crabbies" before visiting here. Good food at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting that English Pub experience.

We are in the middle of a kitchen refurb and getting a bit tired of microwaved dinners. As we're local and my partner follows the Vic on Facebook, a post popped up today telling us about the Sunday dinners. We had a fantastic Roast Beef dinner served by the lovely Cassie. We do go in the Vic quite often as find this quite "down to earth" and friendly. We were saying tonight that all the staff are always very nice and professional. Steph has worked there for years and has a smile for everyone. Great pub!

We go in probably once a week and always get a friendly welcome. There is a good selection of beers and if you have any issues with any pints or topping up, there is no problem from the staff or landlord. the vice is good all round pub and food is very good as well compared wth some in the area.

Visited the Victorian for many years and it's always my preferred place to have a drink as often it's quite quiet compared to the other bars within the Village.

Called in tonight as a family for a drink but ended up having a meal. The staff are very pleasant and attentive, the food was fresh and tasty and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely come again!!

Every time I go to this pub I'm always struck by how indifferent and rude the staff are. Last time I was served a pint off Guinness with a huge head. Ok can't be helped. I asked the bar tender to top it up and after deliberately serving someone first making me wait he grudgingly filled it up. No sorry mate or no problem. Just an attitude. I will never go to this dump again. See photo and you decide.

popped in for a drink with a few friends. mid range prices and nice friendly atmosphere. in the centre of Bramhall and easy to get to. Reasonably priced pub grub menu.

I think it must be difficult to cater for all the different types of personalities in bramhall but this place ticks every box. Family friendly, great staff, great food, proper pub atmosphere, the beer is reasonably priced and always tip top condition, shows all the big football games for those who are interested, rugby, aswell, I vehemently recommend a visit, you will not leave dissapointed.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Victorian.

We came here for our Christmas dinner, was unsure what it was going to be like and I was pleasantly surprised of how nice it was, starters were good, turkey dinner was amazing and plenty of it and the dessert was just yum!

Visited The Victorian in Bramhall last night. Never again. Only went because my brother in law wanted to watch the Man Utd match. During the second half, he went to the bar and their card machine was malfunctioning, so they said go sit down and we will bring the machine over to you when the fault clears. They never came. The game ended and we were ready to leave, so my brother in law went back to the bar to try to pay again. Same deal, card machine not working. Then what appeared to be the bar manager came over. "What's happening?" he said "These people are unable to pay for their drinks" the barmaid sad. What? You mean your system is unable to take our payment, more like! So they said "Give us one of your cards for security, and you go get cash from a cashpoint, and when you come back, we will give you your card back". What? Like common thieves? So I went across the road to the petrol station and got cash, and when I came back, my brother in law was waiting outside the pub, and the bar manager was outside with him, watching to see if he was going to do a runner? Over a bill that was less than £10??? Bear in mind that we could have just left anyway, but proactively went back to the bar to try to pay? Well, The Victorian is a dump, with terrible beer, anyway, and this will be my last visit. Avoid.

firstly let me say the service was very good, unfortunately that's where the good part ends the food was poor quality and very dry not really what we expected as people had informed us that food was good perhaps we caught them on a bad day

Seven of us had our Christmas dinner here today and were all very impressed with the food we had. Over the years we have eaten on Christmas day in different pubs.restaurants and hotels but can honestly say that this was the best and at a reasonable price too. Staff were all great,table nicely positioned and decorated and we all had a wonderful time

Use the pub fairly often , beer always in good or excellent condition even if j w lees is a bit if an acquired taste . Always get served pretty quickly even when football's on by generally pleasant staff . Food just pub grub , not bad but not great with service variable [plates not cleared , no check back for satisfaction ] messy chips good but really a drinking pub

The Vic has always had poor beer but this visit was shocking.

Drink and eat here on a regular basis, never had any problems> Went in on Sunday with my partner and children and had a fantastic meal staff were attentive and food was tasty. Good selection of beers and ales on offer and premises were well kept and clean as you would expect. I would recommend this pub over the other “bars” in Bramhall in terms of price service and atmosphere.

Know what, if you can't read that 'messy chips' have brisket on then don't order stuff with a funky name. I loved them. I love the fish, the price of the beer compared to Bramhall's "trendier" bars and the desert was excellent. The manager introduced himself as Jon. He was very pleasant and even served us himself. I will return. I am even looking at booking a birthday party in November after the wife booking part of the pub for he let Mothers Hen do recently which was a success. Brilliant pub!

Nice pub to watch the football in. Seems to always be s good pub to catch Man Utd on, really good atmosphere and nice pints.

First time there as Americans new to the area. Burgers, fries, slaw were hearty and tasty. Breaded chicken and 'messy fries' were really good. Prices were good value.

I met the girls in there, so felt I'd have another try and we met for lunch in The Vic, around 1pm in the afternoon, the place was empty, apart from a barmaid again shouting her head off to another member of staff, ( a large lady banging around) the food came and was cold, the plate was cold? I had wine and my friends had coffee, which they said was cold. How can you not give 100% service with food and drink to your only few customers? it's kinda thrown at you, cold food on cold plates, cold drinks in cold cups, what else are the staff doing. ??
