Though placed in a lovely neighbourhood near Peckham Rye station, we were very disappointed with our room, considering the price. General wear and tear throughout which is forgivable, but the room was not clean (hairs in the bathroom, with gunk around the shower etc.), no toilet brush either which was a bit odd. The room was quite small and uncomfortable. There was a loud buzzing noise nearby which made sleep difficult also. Overall, a disappointing experience for a high price and not very attentive staff.

Had a great family night out. Good food, and a great atmosphere. Our sever (Hannah) was really helpful, and did a great job looking after us. Looking forward to coming back again :)

I am shocked to see how this place has gone down. Met a friend, who I raved about this place to. So embarrassing to have. We shared a bottle of wine and some nibbles in the corner. Tables were all dirty and not been cleared from previous guests but saw the apparent person in charge, Hannah, happy to leave her colleague to go and enjoy her roast eventhough the place was falling apart. On her return, she faced a family of 9 who had a booking but they didn't have a table. We noticed their frustration, unlike Hannah, and moved tables. No one offered us a thankyou or cleaned the table for the family. I was in disbelief as I work in restaurants and actually cleaned the table for them myself. We made comments on the way out of our disappointment and were faced with daggers. Sunday is not fun day for staff. Really need to up your game considering your prices. I will not be back but do feel for the family with kids who were left hanging.

Been going for a long time. The menu has been the same for years. It never changes. I took myself to the Rye , I think its called Angel now? It was the exact same menu as the Victoria.

We had heard Bellenden was the place for burgers. Came here. Very happy. Chatted to the really nice geezer behind the bar and we both went for the burger on recommendation. Wow. Excellent burger! Thank you so much. We had a great time. Really good 9/10 burger easily. My wife said "The best burger I've had ever!" Will try Montpellier another time but this will take some beating. Cheers

Stayed in the superior double room, very comfy, spacious and modern with coffee facilities, hair dryer and toiletries. Great location only a short walk away from Peckham Rye train station, set in a charming neighbourhood. Carly the manager is an absolute delight, would recommend visiting to both friends and family

Came here to watch the Euros semi final in the private function room - air conditioned, comfortable seating, big TV with good sound. Would definitely recommend for a different experience to watch big sport events!

Sunday roast was very nice and also quite large, so you certainly won’t be hungry. Service was attentive and helpful and managed to swap out kale for broccoli

Second time here for a wonderful Sunday roast. We chanced upon this place a few weeks ago and discovered one of the best roasts we have tried. The smoked cabbage is quite special. Big Yorkshire, reasonable amount of meat - great portions. We hope to come again soon!

Pre-dinner drinks and the Watermelon Margarita and Mocktail were cooling and delicious. And thank you for the aircon indoors on a hot London afternoon (29°).

Had a lovely stay room was spotless and comfortable staff were amazing so friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to be accommodating. Food is delicious they have a lovely menu. In an ideal position central but quiet.

From the moment we walked in we was welcome by Luke who was absolutely wonderful. We had our 2 Bichon Frise's with us and Luke gave us a bowl of water for the dogs which was so lovely of him. We had the Garlic Chicken Kiev, Chips and Green Beans and it was beautiful - thank you also to the Chef. Luke was amazing with all the customers who were checking into the hotel as I could hear what he was saying to them. His Customer Service and attention to detail is 1st Class and I told him this too. Luke is a credit to your pub/restaurant/hotel if everyone had a Luke working for them it would make it so much nicer walking in to see a smiley helpful, face.

This hotel/pub is a gem. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room was small but very clean with a great shower. The breakfast was on of the best English breakfast’s that I’ve ever eaten. Really really delicious. The location is within easy reach of central London by bus. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to London.

John and I stayed overnight on Sat 04 May and were very happy with our room, friendly and helpful staff and the general ambience at the Victoria Inn. The Manager, Carly, and all of her colleagues made my family and ourselves very welcome too. We also enjoyed a delicious brunch this morning and will definitely return in the future!

We decided to stay at the Victoria Inn to visit London for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised: the rooms were clean and modern, especially for the low price. It is very easy to go from Peckham Rye to the center of London, both by bus and underground. What we enjoyed most was the food for breakfast and dinner. We had the best meals of our lives! The staff was also very nice and friendly. We wanted to thank Deleene for her kindness since the first day we arrived. We were looking forward to seeing her each day! I really recommend this place if you want to visit London.

The roast dinner was the best we have tried in London and we have tried many! The food was so well seasoned, came out quickly and the staff were very friendly. Will be a regular visitor on Sundays!

I spend a lot of time in the Victoria, it feels like home. Always greeting with warmth especially Ahmed who cannot do enough for his customers!! Must go in Peckham

Had a super lovely fish and chips made by charlie, honestly the best fish and chips i have ever had, this was all topped off with they most friendly, fast and helpful service from Ahmed, if you are ever passing make sure to pop in and say hi

Just had to leave a review! My parents came to visit and went for a fantastic lunch, the service from Ahmed was amazing made us all feel so welcome!

What amazing food and even better service from Ahmed at the Victoria Inn, was greeted kindly when entering and felt very looked after from start to finish. I’ll be back again soon!!

I've stayed here a couple of times in the past; however this is a review of a delightful Sunday afternoon and evening. Chilled atmosphere, talented duo playing and entertaining all age groups from 2- OAP! Staff accommodating and personable. Particularly, Carly, Adam, Luke and Hannah. Fantastic ambience. Highly commended.

This is such a good find. Great rooms, friendly welcome and outstandingly good food. I've eaten out in London over 1000 the last 50 years and the food tonight - crispy lamb belly followed by porcini risotto ranks in my top 5 meals ever in London. Washed down with 2 perfext pints of Guinness

A great hotel with lovely rooms. The staff and owners are very friendly and always helpful. I stay there every time I go to London (about 6 times) and have booked in next week. The restaurant is excellent too. :-)

This location is much better served than most and visitors shouldn't be deterred by it seeming a long way out. The pub and restaurant are both excellent.

1st class service by Ahmed. He was extremely attentive, welcoming and chatting to us at every stage of our meal. Ahmed delivered an exceptional level of service we have not experienced at more expensive restaurants. Food was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Absolutely excellent service - we did not stay, we just went for a meal. The food was first rate, and the service - especially from Del was second to none.

Lovely environment and exceptional staff. I had a one night stay at this establishment and the service was impeccable. I had a lovely lady named Del who checked me in, she was very attentive and made me feel welcome. I regularly stay away for work and have frequented in multiple hotels and not had service as good as this. I needed to book a taxi and did not know where the nearest taxi rank was, as I do not use Uber or online apps etc. Del kindly called me a taxi and ensured I got in it safely. A complete 5 star service and lovely conversation. I will definitely be returning to the Victoria inn soon.

Well, what can I say other than wow. What a fabulous pub. The squid, to die for. The fried onion, what a delight. The beer, hoorah.The atmosphere is all you could ask for. Cannot fault and will certainly be back.

We can not thank the team highly enough for an amazing Christmas day!! The food was incredible. Turkey beautifully moist and roast potatoes both crispy and fluffy! One of the best Christmas meals I have ever had! A personal visit from the manager to see how our meal was going was a beautiful touch!

Generally ok. The prices have gone up a lot and the cask ale isn't kept at all well.

Stayed at the Victoria inn when attending a wedding, the rooms are spacious, beds are large with extremely comfortable mattresses.

We shared an intimate festive family gathering in the Private Dining Room here. It was a really lovely occasion. Our food was very well presented and tasty with good sized portions. Don't think you'd go hungry here! Had a wonderful selection of red wines as well. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive with a great sense of humour. The whole place seemed to be full with a wonderful atmosphere. I didn't know the area surrounding the Victoria but there are some interesting independent ones also worth supporting. A good time had by all and I shall return soon.

Went for dinner on Sunday, I was treated well by Carly and the Team. The scallop was perfectly cooked and the Roast Porchetta was divine! It was well proportioned and the flavour was gorgeous. The food was portrayed amazingly and that was just the cherry on top. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream was one of the best tasting things I have eaten. The flavours melted in my mouth and the ice cream just added that little bit extra. Will definitely be coming back again for another visit!

We have stayed here many times while visiting family in the area. The Inn is well-managed, clean enjoyable and reasonably priced. It’s well worth checking out and booking. We have never been disappointed.

After an afternoon at the park with the kids, we stopped in at the Victoria Inn for a drink and a bite to eat. The menu had an array of options for such a quaint little pub, but we all settled on a Sunday roast. There were four options on their roast dinners which included a vegan option, all of which were freshly prepared on site. When the food came out, it was presented beautifully, and tasted amazing. Carly in particular, was incredibly welcoming, very friendly and she was amazing with my 9 and 12 year too! Thank you for giving me a perfect end to our afternoon out. I'm looking forward to coming back to sample some more (no doubt) amazing food.

Absolute gem of a pub. Our visit strated with a warm welcome from Hannah. We hadn't booked, it was a very busy Sunday but Carly managed to locate us a table for the duration of our visit. Relieved and thankful for all carlys efforts. Service was friendly & speedy 😀 Food was absolutely beautiful. The roast potatoes were immense and the gravy delicious 😋 The meals were so tasty and fresh it was even better than eating my mums roast 🤣 Can't wait for our return visit in the new year. Went for Sunday lunch and I must say, it’s our new favourite spot. The food was delicious. Staff were also super friendly and the pub itself is cozy. The only negative, if I have to pick something, is the price of the mulled wine. We didn’t stay in the rooms but from what I’ve seen, I’d recommend the Victoria Inn to visitors. We’ll definitely be back!!

Went for Sunday roast was absolutely lovely. Compliments to the chef. My hostess Deleene was very polite, observant and attended to all my needs. Her bubbly personality made the experience much better. Would defiantly come again.

Lovely Sunday roast, we were 3 people to walk in late afternoon on Sunday and they sat us down immediately. Great scallop starter, we liked the Côtes du Rhône wine, the roast and gravy were delicious and special mention for the vegetarian roast !! Best we tried so far! Will definitely do again thank you!

However, we were fortunate enough to have the victoria in and it has quickly become our go-to spot for quality family time. One of the standout features of this pub is its family-friendly atmosphere. The spacious seating area provides room for families with kids, allowing us to comfortably dine. Speaking of meals, the food at the vic is great and has improved a lot in the last 6 month. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including kid-friendly choices.great selections of wine too. From themed nights to live music performances, there is always something exciting happening that appeals to both kids and adults. We honestly love it and highly recommend ❤️🥂

One of the most pleasant stays I've had! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice and the vegan food options were delicious! Train and Underground stations are close by so it's a good location. It was an overall great experience, I can really recommend it! :)

Amazing hotel, couldn't be more happy with my stay! I came here with my sister and the Victoria Inn was a most pleasant surprise for both of us! The rooms were great and the staff went above and beyond for us and made our stay a very positive experience. The location is also quite good. The Peckham Rye train station is right around the corner, so you are in the middle of London in about 25 minutes. There was also an amazing roast dinner on Sunday (with an outstanding vegan option!) and the staff will gladly book you a nice table. I will most likely be back for my next trip to London!

This has to be one of the best places for Sunday lunch in and around Peckham. We have been coming to the Victoria since it was the Wishing Well back in the day. The staff are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Really relaxing atmosphere and the food is always amazing. We brought our elderly mum here for a special Sunday lunch. She loved it. We had both vegan and meat roasts. All our dishes were incredible. But what really makes this pub is the atmosphere and the team who work here. Lovely people.

What a great experience eating & drinking in the Victoria Inn, back streets of Peckham. A truly fantastic Sunday lunch. The Staff here are exceptionally hardworking with a friendly smile. I went for the fish & chips absolutely delicious & very good size portion , washed down with Devon cider. This is one place I’ll be returning. 👍🏽

What beautiful pub 😍 Visited with family for mothers day with three generations and the dog. I love how dog friendly this establishment is as Bella was welcomed with a fresh bowl of water. Hannah, our server, was amazing. Very friendly, great cocktail recommendations and speedy service. Carly, the general manager, enthusiastically welcomed us and showed us to our table. She also popped back to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The food. WOW. Beautiful to look at and isanstiable to the taste buds. Duncan is a miracle worker in that kitchen as I learned that all food is produced onsite. Even the gherkin ketchup! Thank you for such a lovely mothers day and we will be back to try some more food soon!

We had a lovely Sunday dinner with our family - including an 8 week old baby and dog. Hannah made us feel like it was our home from home and doubled up as a babysitter / dog sitter!

Was recommended to have a Sunday roast here by a friend.booked a table and travelled a fair way for it.Arrived for our booking and was told no roasts so left unhappy.On another note the beer was good.

I love the food in Victoria Inn. Praise the chef! Whenever we visit it's always flavoursome. There is always something delicious in the menu and staff is ever so profesional and friendly. Our last Saturday visit for lunch certainly wasn't a disappointment either. Amazing battered soft shell crab as a special of the day was perfect and both our mains: butternut squash agnolotti and fried seabass were as good as the starter. Definitely worth poppin in if you are in the area, either for a quick drink, bite or a nice catch up with friends over some lunch.

This was a first-evening meal at the pub below our accommodation. A cosy, informal affair, with attentive and professional waiting staff, and thoroughly decent food. Our flat-iron chicken and “festive” turkey burger were very good; we look forward to our next meal here!

Ate twice there in a few days. Pigeon was a quality dish with some great flavors and excellent presentation. The pie was too much pastry and felt very stodgy and also very steep at £17 for pie & mash. Second time we had the scotch egg which was nice and the chicken liver parfait followed by an excellent fish and chips and a very meaty venison Ragu. They also do a nice hot chocolate in a very pleasant pub on trendy Bellenden Road

We've came for Sunday lunch. Still very good ambience, friendly staff and not bad food. My other half's roast was a bit undercooked and the rice in my chirashi bowl also a bit undercooked. Tempura soft shell crab was amazing and perfectly matched with kimchi and crushed avocado. Everything else was as good as always. Will be coming back 👍

This used to be one of our favourite spots for lunch but today’s Sunday roast was quite disappointing unfortunately. Very beige, not particularly appetising to look at - no green veg, just white cabbage, potatoes & carrots. The chicken and pigs in blankets were so pale and the 4 of us commented how the roast potatoes tasted like they had been cooked yesterday. We ate at 12pm, so we’re one of the first tables and but it certainly didn’t taste freshly cooked. Such a shame as it’s a lovely pub and staff are great

I can't recommend this place more for there wonderful vegan food! We had the best Vegan 'fish' and chips with samphire and burger and chips delivered from here. Honestly, at the moment it seems like the options for vegan takeaways in Peckham have been surprisingly pants, but when this food arrived it was like a shining light of YUM. It arrived quickly and was still hot, and was all in cardboard and paper packaging. WELL DONE!

I chose this pub as I was told that they had jazz every Sunday, but was dissapointed to find that this was not true. The pub was very crowded and noisy, and service rather slow. The food was average Sunday lunch, not bad, but nothing special. It is not somewhere I will return to.

We had a really nice evening here! The two girls who were serving were just amazing! Very friendly and you never sat with an empty glass. Food was perfect! Definitely recommend it here!

I booked this room for my parents and they were very happy with the service. Rebecca and Ross were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was top notch. Rooms very clean and well decorated. The stairs were a bit tough for them but that couldn't be helped. Well done Victoria inn!

He estado aquí varias veces y he comido la mayoría de las visitas. Tienes que probar el pastel "Charter". Hecho en casa por el chef residente. Repleto de pollo, jamón y otras golosinas rodeado de excelentes pasteles. Un personal amable y un ambiente animado en esta prometedora parte del sur de Londres hacen que una visita realmente valga la pena.

Nuestra primera vez en Peckham, nos detuvimos aquí por casualidad. El pub está muy bien decorado, y se siente muy hogareño. Buena selección de cervezas y vinos. Las papas fritas de aguacate fueron un buen descubrimiento, y el domingo asado fue excelente. Buena cantidad de carne de res, verduras perfectamente cocinadas y un buen pudín de Yorkshire. No hay espacio para el postre. El servicio fue amable y atento. Definitivamente vamos a volver aquí.

He estado aquí un par de veces: la comida no es mala, en mi opinión es un poco cara y me gustaría ver un poco más de variedad en el menú o algunas adiciones nuevas o especiales. El mayor problema que tengo es la cantidad de moscas en el pub! Hay pequeñas moscas de la fruta en todas partes, lo cual es muy molesto, ya que constantemente las estás abanicando mientras intentas comer tu comida. ¿Seguramente el personal o la gerencia lo han notado?

We visited the pub for dinner in December just before the Christmas rush and it was a lovely way to start of the festive season. we ordered a selection of starters including pulled pork tacos and the whitebait, just yummy. for mains we had burgers steaks and even tried the vegan fish and chips.Really generous portions of the vegan dish. The steak was cooked perfectly and the wine went really well with all of the dishes. The atmosphere was great and Charlotte and Titiana were wonderful hosts. Will definitely love to stay try the hotel as the review sounds fab.Highly recommended. 5 stars from us all.

I came here for Christmas meal with 5 friends. The menu was pretty uninspiring. I thought this might have been because they were also running a Christmas menu but not everyone will want to order from that so they should make sure their normal offering is up to scratch. We ordered a baked camembert to start, which was tasty. 5/6 us ordered the flat iron chicken for mains, which I wouldn't normally go for as chicken is a boring meat, but didn't fancy anything else they had. The chicken turned out to be dry and the accompaniments were average.The service was good but one major annoyance was that the pub quiz happening that night was being blasted out of a speaker right above our table. We were in a separate restaurant area so I don't see why these speakers couldn't have been turned off. I love a quiz but not when I'm trying to make festive conversation with my pals. I'm sure I'll come back as we've had better experiences here before this meal, but if this had been my first visit I doubt I would have bothered.

All said in the title! I really liked this place! One of the best fish and chips I’ve had! I would come back anytime. If you book a room there , they are just fantastic !
