This is a lovely traditional pub. The staff were really friendly and the Sunday roast was absolutely excellent - quality and value. Highly recommend

Lovely historic pub in a great location. Shame its so small!

It was a shame that there was so little choice at breakfast plus moldy bread that doesn't work at all. You can't open the windows to ventilate because of bad air in the bedroom. Not for large families. Still nice old English flair.

Food was good, and drinks as well. Nice and friendly staff. We ordered chicken burger 🍔 and sausage mashed potatoes 🥔 😋 with wings and pork belly. Everything was tasty and delicious 😋

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Drinks were also nice with unusually a great selection of house wines. Also a very basic round of a glass of wine and a glass of coke came in £3.50 cheaper than a pub we next met friends in which had a lot less atmosphere and seemed more chain like.

We walked away from bustling Borough Market and wanted to find somewhere where we didn’t have to stand and eat food from cardboard! Don’t get me wrong, the market is a great lively experience and a “must” visit when in the area. A 5 min walk away and we found this gem. Great food at non London prices - the fish and chips in beer batter were the best I’ve had for a long time. Ham, egg and chips - it was what it said on the label! Simple food - well done. A good range of beers and wines. Friendly, helpful staff. The locals must be very happy with this pub - so few honest, real pubs remaining. We will return.

A traditional London pub, serving quality ales at reasonable prices. A simple menu of a good standard....hard to find so close to Borough Market. Pleasant helpful staff. A pub worth seeking our for the occasional visit to this part of the city.

A great restaurant in a small street in London, friendly waiter (rare in London), Beef Sunday Roast absolutely delicious. Nothing to add except a bonus point for this famous Beef Sunday Roast which brought me several “mmmmmhs” of happiness!

A great place, The Kings Arms, just off Borough High Street is a pub serving a variety of cask and keg beers, all perfectly kept. Wonderful people behind the bar offering excellent service. A lovely place for a beer on a great day!

Dane and his staff were excellent. The Sunday Roast and other food and drinks were fantastic. This was a very memorable experience for me and my family. I highly recommend visiting the Kings Arms pub if you are in London.

Called in a few years ago on a pub crawl and vowed to return for a proper visit Friday night, just just enough - England match on/ staff incredible, food impeccable, hand pulled dark star hophead delectable, decor and exterior is as it should be- green tiled, ornate, Victorian opulence, dressed with riotous flowering window boxes, interior is as you want - traditional pub stools, easy chairs. Sofas stools - bliss

I've been here many times, but it's never happened that I ask for a beer, and they give me the beer to someone else who didn't want it anymore, and he gave it to me, it was warm, I don't know how many minutes it had been there. I asked for another beer, and he didn't want to serve me, it was very nasty of him,

What a great find down a side street off Borough. A good London boozer with no pretentiousness & with a nostalgic tones of the past. Well tended & varied cask ales, friendly service & a good range of pub food.

One of a sadly dwindling examples of a really good old boozer. Fabulous unmolested interior with first class ales in good condition. Good service, too. A most welcome antidote to the awful post-yuppie poncy pubs that serve horrible modern beers. Brilliant.

Traditional Victorian pub off Borough High Street - virtually a parody of a London local neighbourhood boozer - spills onto the narrow Newcomen Street, hard to ignore, harder to resist. Authentic and grounded. An informed beer selection here, reasonable prices, snug and far enough from the maddening crowd. The colourful, well-referenced exterior Royal coat of arms makes for a handy anecdotal titbit. This be the real thing - seek it out, history is on your side.

We went in here for a drink off chance 2 weeks ago as we were passing and I'm glad we did. It's a fantastic boozer with a good selection of real ales, I liked it so much we went back the next day. Although we didn't eat here the food did look nice

It’s a locals local, insofar as such a thing can exist in this part of town. Suits and people who do real jobs mix along nicely. The food is nice and, more importantly (in my eyes), so is the range of beers.

A very nice traditional pub close to London Bridge. We always drink there when in this part of London. Good range of tap beers. Not yet discovered by tourists!

We called into this local Southwark pub after a visit to the nearby Shard. I had an excellent pint of real ale and my wife had a glass of their red wine which she said was also excellent. We had two hot sausage rolls which were delicious. The lovely bar staff at The King's Arms were friendly and very welcoming and we really enjoyed our lunchtime visit. I highly recommend this local Southwark pub, ten out of ten for everything.

We loved this pub - traditional feel and never too busy. Barkeep was always polite and friendly. I’d go here every night if I could.

This is a fantastic pub and never fails to disappoint. Beer is always on fantastic condition and I have my best pints of Harvey's, Black Sheep and Landlord. The do a great range of English tapas , scotch eggs, pork pies and sausage rolls. Friendly and welcoming bar staff What's not to like?

Lovely pub, friendly staff and clientele

This is a lovely pub for food. The food is fresh and portion sizes are great. The staff are friendly and the pub is clean and I would recommend going here when in the London Bridge area.

Harvey's on tap (my favorite beer) check. Sausage roll (it's been 13 years) check. Paulie a happy bunny... check.

Small pub, big energy. Bright and airy on an early sunny Saturday afternoon. Down a cool little side street (maybe a mews?) with an equally cool coffee shop next door. Lovely decorations outside and in with a classic interior. And Landlord on cask means I’m stopping in for a pint!

I had three excellent real ales here, but I think five were on offer on the bar. Wonderful unspoilt interior.

Actually a really great pub, but it might be the only pub in London that doesn’t let dogs in which really sucks guys. Especially if you have a dog, but also, if you don’t have a dog and just want to look at dogs.

Bartender was great and let me try a few, recommended a nice cider. Sit in the big comfy chair and you’ll feel special

A quaint local pub, the service and atmosphere were great. We went 1 hour before the kitchen closed and the food was a bit slow to come out. My bf didn't like his white wine spritzer or my fish cake, though the salad was nice, and he did like his beer-battered fish and the chips were nice and crispy. I was expecting the stick toffee pudding to be sticky but it wasn't, so that was a bit disappointing, but the custard sauce it came with was fantastic and cut the sweetness beautifully.

Proper pub in the 21st Century. Exceptional service, exceptional beer, with locals that are very friendly. Want to fold it up, put it in my pocket and take it home!

Fantastic pub in se1 great homecooked food and awesome staff. A mixed crowd keeps it very entertaining.

Great pub with good beer and good food. I hired the function room upstairs for my birthday at a very fair price. Got the pub buffet, the one thing everyone commented on was that the sandwiches were made from 'proper bread' IE not pre-sliced. All the food was great including the pizzas I added from the bar menu. And Ben the landlord is a very friendly accommodating guy.

Fantastic little pub off the Borough High Street. The staff were very friendly and cheerful and the pub was very clean and tidy. A nice range of ales available. The Guinness was excellent (even the first pour of the day) as was the Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter. And as an aside, they had jos sticks in the men's toilets- which works a treat. A bit of history: the coat of arms out the front was formally attached to a gateway spanning the old London Bridge (from Historic England)

Unfortunately they don’t allow dogs. We weren’t even offered a drink outside.

Have been an occasional customer over the last 5 years. Feels that there have been several changes of manager and staff, but the atmosphere has always remained relaxed, friendly and the service efficient. Why aren’t more city pubs like this?

A basic pub down a tucked away alleyway. Very busy. Good very reasonably priced food and drinks too. Extremely noisy due to a group of young women shouting at each other! Landlord and staff very friendly. Much more reasonably priced than other eateries in the area.
