Waiting outside in the rain, queue time of 30 minutes which we weren’t bothered about as it was expected. However, there were multiple free tables and nobody queued infront of us, then as more people arrived they were seated before us and on tables with spare seats that would’ve perfectly fit out party. A couple of 2 were seated on a table for 8, when there was an empty table for 2 right behind, and we were still waiting. When we decided to wait inside so they would notice us, we were asked to move and stand outside in the pouring rain. So after queuing for 15 minutes we left and went to Frankie and Benny’s instead where service was great.

We ate in las iguanas which was nice and good service. I do think the meal options are very chain based and more variety and individuality would be welcomed.

I’m not one to write reviews or complain but in this case Nando’s deserves to be the exception to this rule. We arrived today (Sunday) at 6:30 and it was extremely busy. We waited a while to be seated which was to be expected due to how busy the restaurant was. We placed our order, got our drinks and sat down quite happily. Unfortunately/ fortunately for us we were seated next to the open kitchen and were witness to complete chaos and idiocy. The first strike was the complete lack of kitchen hygiene and organisation, it was obvious that they had no idea how to manage a full and busy restaurant. I’ve never witnessed anything quite like it in my life. As time went on no one appeared to apologise for the wait on food and we saw tables recieving their food at random intervals (when the staff felt like bringing it to them). The kitchen staff were cooking the food and leaving them on the pass which was constantly full for the entire time we were there. This food was sat there for at least 10-20 minutes per table while multiple members of staff (including management) walked past without any intention of bringing the food to the customers who were patiently waiting. Little to no attempt was made by the kitchen staff to encourage the food runners to take the food off the kitchen pass. In fact they seemed to be having a nice chat while chaos was unfolding around them. When we finally received our food after around 40 minutes it was cold and a rubber chicken would’ve been more appetising. When we complained and ask for a refund no attempts of apologising or rectifying the situation was made (in fact he didn’t say anything) and we simply got a refund. Quite frankly the whole experience was quite literally a kitchen nightmare and Gordon Ramsey needs to shove a rocket where the sun doesn’t shine.

I usually order from Nandos. I went on their website for home delivery for bs106ds and the website threw an error ' there is an error on the website' when i called them they said we cannot place delivery orders over the phone.plz call their customer care. That means i had to collect it..they left me with no option. Then when i called customer care and told them about the error they said its your browser.. clear the cookies.. it still failed then they said change the browser.. and guess what it still failed and then tgey said change the device... now you don't need to guess.. it still didnt work. They still didn't accept that it was their fault. I had to go and collect my order.. which was late too. I had to wait 45 mins more on top of my expected time of collection.. Very sad that such a big chain has no alternative service to place delivery orders!

I've eaten at various Nando's branches for many years, My usual restaurant is the subject of this review, the Venue Cribbs Causeway, because it is ten minutes from my home. I have always been very happy with the food, I have always found the service really good and really friendly. I have eaten in and collected numerous takeaways. I have eaten there with family, with colleagues and friends and I have never, ever, ever had a problem. That is until I encountered Jamie. I went with my adult son on a really quiet weekday around 12.30pm. We waited at the door and were aware that we had been seen by a couple of servers standing by the kitchen. They seemed in no hurry to come and show us through and I briefly wondered whether there was a bit of a problem going on. At that point were shown to a table and everything seemed fine. I went to the counter and placed our order with a very nice member of staff and we had a pleasant little chat. My son wanted half a chicken and I requested a breast quarter of chicken with mango & lime glaze. No problem - so far so good. I ordered olives to start which are normally served there and then from the huge bowl on the counter, but this didn't happen. - looked like he'd forgotten. No big deal, so I smiled and asked for the olives. The nice server said he would have to go to the kitchen and get a bowl to put them in because there were none behind the counter, OK, no problem. He went to the kitchen and didn't come back. I stood there for a while until another server asked me if everything was OK. I said I was waiting for olives and that his colleague had gone to find a bowl. He looked a bit perplexed and said he would chase it up. The olives arrived 2 seconds before our mains, which was strange given that that the restaurant was super quiet but it was no biggie, just a bit of a shame as the olives were barely touched. Our friendly waiter served my son first and his food looked delicious. Before my food hit the table the server said "there's been a mistake, you ordered a breast of chicken and this is a leg". He said he'd ask chef to put a breast on the grill which would take less than a minute. I didn't think they would be able to cook a fresh piece of chicken that quickly (even for Nando's!) and assumed "less than a minute" was just a figure of speech. So I very politely asked if they could keep my side dishes warm whilst my chicken was being cooked. I had spicy rice and this gets cold quite quickly and I really didn't want to eat it without the chicken. He seemed really agitated at this request and kept repeating that my chicken breast would take less than a minute to cook. He then pointed out that I still had the leg of chicken so I was really quite lucky because I'd "acquired" an extra piece of meat. He then returned to the counter. Less than 1 minute later I was indeed presented with a chicken breast. I couldn't believe what they had served me. The skin was flabby, pale and hanging off, it looked as though it had been brutalised, it was also only surface warm and literally swimming in hot peri peri sauce, not glazed at all. I mean it looked like a car crash. I was obviously not happy so I took it back to the counter and told the person at the till that it was not cooked properly. I wish I had taken a photograph and recorded the whole thing but I didn't expect the abuse I was about to receive. The "manager" glanced at the food and said it was perfectly up to Nando's high standards and that I should "be grateful" they had cooked me another piece of chicken. He then turned his back on me. I was stunned and stood there in silence with the plate in my hand. He then turned back to face me and launched into a verbal assault that attracted the attention of other customers. He accused me of being abusive, arrogant, aggressive and many other things. He was ranting, shouting in my face. I'm 61 years old and not remotely confrontational and I began to shake and cry. My son, also stunned at what was unfolding, then brought our receipt to the counter and asked this man (Jamie) to give us a refund. He snatched the receipt and started the refund process, but he was still ranting. Shakily I said we were happy to pay for the sodas we had drunk (I was foolishly still trying to be fair). I wish I hadn't bothered because his response was "there you go again, bad mouthing me. Do you think you know my job better than I do!" He then said "don't worry, I had every intention of making you pay for the drinks and you've eaten some of the olives, you can pay for those too". It has taken me a while to write this and if any of you who read my reviews on TripAdvisor know, I have never posted anything remotely like this. I have contacted head office (another first for me) but they haven't replied. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had the misfortune to be served by Jamie. .

Good Friday afternoon stood at doorway for 15 mins waiting to be sat at tables that were lazily cleaned then after 25 mins the Luke warm food arrives and I’m hungry. Explain to staff the problem but it will take another 15 mins to replace so eat a Luke warm meal and leave I can see the manager but he’s busy at the moment... not surprised.

Having visited cribs causeway on many occasions, I was surprised how close and easy it was to get to the venue via a footpath. We went to Hollywood bowl and pizza express both good experiences. Visited on a Sunday morning so bowling was reasonably quiet. Went to pizza express around 1 very busy but still got a table:) good choices for food at the venue. Good parking but again was early on a Sunday morning.

It's got a cinema - but with the parking being a nightmare sometimes it may be better to go into Bristol itself to other cinemas. TGI Friday's food is something to be desired, Hollywood Bowl is ok for a couple of games with the family. Nando's is awful. Pizza Express is even worse. This is a pretty negative review I realise that but if you like mediocre food then The Venue is the place for you.

I really hate doing bad reviews. But this place deserves it, if you enjoy Nando's and expect that high quality of service that the brand is known for do not for any reason go here (Bristol- Cribbs Causeway is the other side of the car park a much better restaurant) So t'was the first Monday of the new year and I thought I would check out a Nando's that I have been meaning to go to for a while a cold very wet dark night. So on entering the restaurant I had to wait for 5 minutes yes 5 minutes to be seated even though the place wasn't busy at all. Being greeted by a cross between Vicky pollards boyfriend and the "computer says no" women from little Britain I was asked where I would like to sit before I could even open my mouth the menu was slammed down on the table closest to door, not a great start I thought but a restaurant can't be reviewed on just one member of staff. The one unique thing this restartuart does offer is a free starter before you even order any food courtesy of the bit of chicken and plenty of sauce I found inside the menu, yes you heard me right a lovely peice of tender chicken and undisclosed peri peri sauce sandwhiched between two pieces of A4 card. I always order the same thing so just put the menu to one side. Even though the restaurant wasn't that busy the order point was very busy from over hearing the conversation in front this was due to certain items being off the menu and customers needing to rechoose what they wanted on the spot, so once I finally got served thankfully they had my medium half a chicken, peri peri chips and garlic bread. After waiting 20 minute during which time Vicky Pollards boyfriend seated a couple right next to me, even though there was plenty of tables free elsewhere, with the tables being very close together this made it very awkward. I just hope he hadn't planned a cheeky Nando's as a first date, this place was anything but cheeky.Anyway on with the food, so after about 20 minutes the half chicken with sides of peri peri chips and garlic bread arrived, and I have to say the chips and garlic bread were very nice, and had I asked for a chargrilled plain half a chicken it would have been perfect. This was the most stingiest portion of peri peri sauce I have ever seen on a Nando's chicken, seriously there was more sauce in my menu than on my chicken. Overall a very poor experience especially when Bristol Cribbs Causeway is just over the car park at The Mall.

There is something for everyone here on a help-yourself basis. You can have as much as you want, Indian, Italian, British, Chinese etc.plus puds. I enjoy mixing all the vegetarian options! Drawbacks - there can be a lot of children running around (ok if you are a parent) and the price goes up to over £12pp at weekends which I think is a little on the high side.

The loopy Chief Executive in charge of M&S who claims to know “Mrs M&S” has taken another giant step in destroying M&S The Deli restaurant in Cribbs M&S has been closed down and removed Not only has the Beijing women’s clothing become a complete joke but the oasis where customers could have nice food and drink has gone Great management decisions More money available to pay buyers to cruise around the Far East looking for more disgusting clothing to buy by the container full and tell “Mrs M&S” this is what you want to wear 🤪

Had the festive menu, after a very long wait, thought because the food was preordered we wouldn't have to wait so long. Wish the sprouts were cooked longer, and potatoes with the sea bass weren't cooked. Was compensated for this though. Enjoyed the puds.
