Staff very nice lovely cappuccino ⁹

Perfect 80s decor snooker club, bar, restaurant and hireable room, friendly staff

When to a Christmas party here. Went last year no problem. This year bar staff ignored the function room unless there was no one at the bar. Every time they served someone at the function room they checked back to the bar to see if someone and walked up, they would then serve them immediately ignoring the queue in the function room. My partner only got served because someone in the bar told the bar staff to serve her first. When I went up once all in the bar were served one member decided toit would be better to clear glasses than serve the queue in the function room. Not only did I not tip, something that I usually do, l so decided not to buy any more drinks. Will not be going to a party here again.

Sunday lunch with the family good prices excellent food

Held my parties and burlesque shows here, lovely venue to hire, 2 lots of toilets, food is lovely on the days they do food. However cobs can be found behind the bar or requested on days the kitchen is closed. Sunday dinners are really nice. Regulars are friendly, manager is nice and helpful. Look forward to the next shows an parties.

Said there was cobs available so I asked for cheese and onion and the lady behind the bar said no because she didn’t like making them. Uncanny and laughable all I wanted was a cob 🤣 so I wouldn’t expect good service or good food here.

Best carvery ever, absolutely beautiful home made dinner. Staff are amazingly friendly nothings ever to much trouble. All around great pub and banging food 😋

Tried and tested party venue with good size function room, snooker tables upstairs, a pool table and darts! The Sunday dinners here are second to none!

The venue has a nice and pleasant atmosphere with warm welcoming staff . A place where people of any age will find something to like

It is what it is. Village club, has lots on and a good atmosphere. I have only ever been for sunday dinner. Its like a mental trip back in time to when your grandma made you an old school dinner with grandma gravy. Worth a trip for the memories and also a nice dinner :) probably need to book in advance though

Had back room for a social function, clean ,tidy ,warm. shame about steps to access room as had elderly and less able bodied. Not told if wheel chair access . £50 returnable deposit if left clean and no damages . Staff helpful , good bar service and prices. X

The food was fabulous!! First time visit for me for a meal. Will be going back again for our anniversary. Highly recommend a visit.

Had a brilliant evening here. Was sat in the larger function room at the back for an event featuring adult entertainment. Food is advertised as being available at certain times but not when we were there. I purchased a beef cob which was nice and soft. The slab of beef was gorgeous. Good service at the bar, good selection of draught beers served at a good temperature.

Traditional style venue come pub, probably had its heyday during the the Coal Mining period. Still good to sit and have a drink, Small stage for acts, not sure if this still happens, probably my first ever visit, so take whatever i say with a pinch of salt. There is a pool table and the main room separared off by a doorway. There might be more upstairs but didnt venture. Overall a pub for locals and regulars, and why not!

Great for events and not overly massive. Used a couple of times and will again.

Have been today for Sunday lunch at the Venue don’t go vey often but really should it is the best Sunday lunch by far. The meat is amazing melts in your mouth and everything that comes with it is great. A must to try.

We hired the Regent room here for a party, The Venue provided a really good buffet at reasonable cost. Also had the tournament snooker table and Poker table . Excellent service from all the staff concerned . A really enjoyable evening , Thanks

Its a place were I get to see Son and X son in law for a game a snooker and a couple of pints depending on if I'm working next day,there are also friends and X work colleagues who go in there

Been for 3 course Christmas dinner. It was so nice Turkey melted in your mouth potatoes so creamy every thing was so nice . Bargain price at £7.95 . Than had a game of bingo to finish the afternoon of thank you to all the staff that has worked so hard to make it special afternoon will visit again for sunday carvery.

Stopped here on our way home from a weekend away. Best Sunday carvery I have had for ages. The venue is very friendly and welcoming. The landlady and landlord are very accommodating. The staff are friendly and polite, the customers are friendly and Linda ( a regular) is amazing, funny and lovely. It’s worth visiting to meet her.

Good venue for the band we saw, however, they were somewhat cramped. Good service at the bar. Car park a little small and the car park at rear, was dark at closing time.

Visited this place on recommendation, you do have to book, they serve a traditional Sunday Carvery, really enjoyed it. Selection of roasts and fresh veg. We will be back!

Called at the venue for a meal must say the home made meat pie was lovely and cheap. Staff friendly even had a few games of bingo with the lovely ladys that was in. Must say I will be going back next Wednesday...

This is an ex snooker hall and as such it does have the feel of a Working Man's Club however he has now got a stage area for functions and a separate bar area upstairs along with a downstairs bar I believe. It is like many of it's kind with various entertainers on throughout the year and lots of different functions supplying a place to go for people within the village and beyond. Prices are reasonable and the beer was ok. We were at a charity event and they provided a small buffet which was actually quite nice so I would say it is what it says on the tin it ain't posh and it's not a pub in the true sense it is a venue.

Excellent snooker club, bars with reasonable prices, basic food and a good atmosphere. Also occasionally does live music.

Here today for Easter dinner . Rey enjoye coming here so pleasant staff and surrounding.
