The Urmston Takeaway in Trafford

The food that was delivered was really, really shocking!! The chicken balls batter was thick, hard, soggy and unedible! The chicken did not taste like chicken! The sweet and sour sauce was like water! The prawn toast was burnt and rock hard! Overall a lot of money spent on a meal that we couldn’t even eat! On the menu it says you get free salt and pepper wings when you spend over £40 and they don’t appear! Wouldn’t even feed this rubbish to my dog

Guys we have a problem with this person below using different names, Linda Houghton John Obi chatting complete rubbish on the last two comments. He has been reported to the police for harassment and hate speech and a full report has been handed over along with CCTV images of him on the day SATURDAY 4th August at 6:17pm he bought a bag of chips from our shop and has used false and misleading information towards us. Our shop maintaines a high value and quality customer Service to all our customers as you all know: The team at Urmston Takeaway.

Tasteless chinese food. Poorly packed half of the food in the carrier bag. Delivery driver sat there promoting the food to people probably to keep him in a job, as the chinese woman at the front serving doesn't understand English. Giving this dump a 1star is a compliment they deserve a minus 1.

Lady at the front doesn't have a clue about the menu. Their delivery driver sat there trying to promote the business, talking a load of waffle about its rated 4.9 out of 5 Deffo in need of a visit to spec savers. Diabolical food service won't be returning there again anytime soon.

The rice had no taste and I think someone made

Lived in lots of areas around Manchester, eaten lots of Chinese takeaway in all those places, I think Urmston Takeaway is the best or definitely up there at the top. Just really well made, fresh and tasty food, delivered on time with a smile. 10/10!

Rapid delivery so if your hungry go for it however I thought the food was just average nothing like what the reviews below are going on about - don’t even offer proper chips.

Lovely fresh food, recommend the special fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and beef in black bean sauce.

Ordered a selection of food - starters and main courses, and I was not impressed. The starters were over cooked & lacking in flavour. The main courses were all similarly immersed in a brown sauce , and it was totally uninspiring . Would I use them again? Unfortunately not.

I usually have a Chinese at another place, but wanted to have a change. I don't regret that decision as it was delicious, especially their Salt Pepper Munchy Box and chicken in black bean sauce. definitely my go 2!!

I normally love crispy food but when the inside is just as crispy as the outside, it’s all down hill front there.

Really clean and fresh tasting sweetcorn & crab soup. Great special chow main. Marinated pork and black bean sauce was gorgeous, nice tender cuts of pork, sauce the right consistency and plenty of onion/green peppers to compliment it. Excellent!

Singapore fried rice made wrong. It was too much soy sauce but no turmeric

Really nice Chinese! Got the salt and pepper chicken under the appetiser section, this is definitely a main as it is a big portion. Salt and pepper chips lovely and fresh/crispy. Love how they puncture the box to keep them fresh! Fast delivery although did order on a Thursday. Chicken was great, again nice and crispy however a little greasy.

Why on earth in 2022 does a takeaway only accept cash?

Horrible food I ordered chicken in black bean sauce and the chicken has bones and hard chewy bits it’s suppose to be breast why do I have bones in it! I rang the lady/manager to be told it’s how it is and didn’t even say sorry never going back

Food delicious, shame about the missing items. Was told they would drop them off, didn't arrive, rang back and was told they had to be collected. Very rude on the phone too especially after spending a large amount of money on food.

Salt n pepper chicken a little too dry n crunchy and no free prawn crackers and for the price they should have been but tasty food and fast delivery

Food wasn't great, no sauce with crispy shredded beef, vermicelli tasteless, pork fried rice dry no peas or veg in it, salt and pepper chips good. But most of it went in the bin

The prawn toast was not good unfortunately, tasted funky (the prawn part) so i couldn't eat them. I ate 1 and a bit because I wasn't certain what it was at first, although I knew it wasn't pleasant, and the off taste has been repeating on me ever since.

Ribs were dry no sticky sauce, battered chicken was inedible, rock hard like pebbles, most of it went in the bin. Delivery man was rude. After having this takeaway we messaged the owner for a partial refund and had no response.

absolutely enjoyed the food from here and the service is excellent. only down side is now it's saying my m41 postcode is too far to deliver from their m41 postcode (I'm only 10mins drive away) so now I cannot order from our was new favourite Chinese. gutted now

Amazing food, we had the munchie box but swapped two items. So I asked for extra crispy shredded chicken instead of the beef and prawn crackers instead of the prawn toast. Got in home and was so disappointed at the portion size. £14 paid it was a real shame as the food was really nice. Not good value though

Had the set menu for four people no spring roll two of the main meals were mostly onions only six prawns and only one pack of pancakes for four people and the duck was very dry sorry the only time I’ve had to put review on always had great food Peter

I absolutely adore the food at this place, it’s by a country mile better than anywhere else HOWEVER it doesn’t take card and it doesn’t deliver so I can’t use it! I don’t drive and as they don’t take card I can’t even get a driver to collect... please please consider taking cards or delivery or both. Such a shame.
