The Union Inn in Torbay

Fantastic place, was exactly like pubs used to be on a Saturday night, everyone spoke staff and landlords super friendly, will definitely go back again

Been here twice in a matter of months,was visiting as a plymouth argyle fan and went to a Torquay game on last visit good old down to earth pub, nothing not to like

Stopped for a drink and game of pool on way home from a walk . Very quiet and service was quick . Pool table is in separate bar and there was plenty of choice for seating

First time visit as an away football supporter. Made to feel welcome,great staff etc, will be returning.

Great locals pub just as pubs used to be far a few between these days well worth a visit quality beers and a friendly atmosphere 👌

This pub is great on many levels. Excellent real ale, the best I have had in a long time. Landlord and Landlady and staff are lovely. The locals very friendly and welcoming. Brilliant for watching football on BT sport. If you are in the area well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic just how a local should be full of character spent few hours for colleagues birthday great atmosphere.

I frequented this pub in my younger days. Now, back living once again in Torquay, I thought I'd check it out. In terms of price, a little cheaper than some places nearby. Always a bonus. They show live sport. Regulars seem a friendly bunch, but haven't struck up a conversation with any yet. That'll take time if I make it my local. Sit at a table at your peril if you are not a regular, you'll get the evil eye if you're sat a someone's fave spot. Happened to me. Overall, a friendly place to have a pint and watch a game of footie.

The Union Inn is a great location. The staff are very nice and make you feel very welcome. They have a great selection of beers, larger, wines and spirits. There is also a great selection of soft drinks. We recently requested a family wake to be hosted there and they were very accommodation. they have a great sized room and they put on a lovely spread for us. The pub itself is very roomy, with a front bar, a back room that shares the bar and a side bar. there a juke box, darts board and a pool table. There is an out doors seating area, which is where you find the smoking area, or just somewhere to cool off in. The Union Inn is situated at top of St Marychurch Road, opposite Waitrose supermarket, the bar itself doesn't have a car park but there is plenty of street parking around the place. The staff allowed us to take in our dog, but I don't know if that is something they do all the time, I know a lot of put don't know a days, but certainly was kind of them. Overall a great put and would recommend it, either for just a good time out or for a function of any time. Thank you to the staff of the Union Inn
