Food great. The one thing that I can't look past is that when it's busy they don't just let people wait at the bar in conventional fashion. We need to stop normalising single file queues (which often stretch way out of the door at busy times). Bars are designed as such that people stand along the length of it. If I want a drink I shouldn't have to leave the building.

Great bar with a fantastic outdoor space, perfect for sunny days. There is plenty of seating and a good atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is quick. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a chilled outdoor drinking spot. Five stars! Their house pale is always the best, but they also bring ales from local breweries. I feel like their Blue moon has a taste.

Always make time for a visit when in Newcastle.

The food really lets this place down had to send two things back now out of three meals and i hate to complain specifically about this place… great scenery and my go to for a weekend pint .. but the food however, is often dry and requiring love .. the staff are friendly but the vibe is very what you see is what you get .. and the owner will say you are unattractive and refuse service if you go in without a top on on a boiling hot day

This is one of the best pubs in Newcastle for delicious food great beer. Excellent atmosphere and live music and the bar staff are the best!

Really friendly place, good food at fair prices, and a solid range of ales. Busy for a Saturday afternoon, which says a lot. Bit of a climb to the toilets, but some fun old posters on the way. Glad I discovered this spot.

Great place! Food is excellent, gluten free options are fantastic. Wide range of local beer (including gluten free). Friendly staff, good music, and a family atmosphere. Not great for disabled customers, as toilets are up two sets of stairs and steps at entrance too, but still worth visiting if you can manage too. Recommend highly!

Great atmosphere, delicious variety of craft beer. They even had a sours on tap which is like a golden ticket! Lovely staff and a great way to spend a sunday afternoon 💖 Recently returned for food and it was incredible!

Vibrant, lively pub with a huge amount of outdoor seating by the Ouseburn. Friendly customers and staff alike. A great selection of beers and food. The food was very generous for the incredibly reasonable price!

Decent cask ales on offer. Food is served but not tried, looked good though. Fairly busy, with a steady flow of folk coming in. Good location especially in the warmer months with ample outdoor seating. Dog's welcome aswell. As we left it looked like they were setting up for a band.

Had a brilliant bbq beef burger from here with great chips. The atmosphere was even better. Great place to hang out with friends and have drinks, but a little bit pricey.

I come here every time I'm in the toon. Originally from LA, but Jesus, from the vibes to the drinks and food... When I go home I absolutely miss this place. Always a staple for me to go when I'm back in Newcastle... Wish I could buy a hoodie online, forgot to buy one when I was here. I love you tyne bar! Looking forward to my next trip here with the boys.

We had a walk along from The Quayside and chanced upon The Tyne Bar. The staff were very friendly and the service was swift. The atmosphere was how I remember pubs a lot of years ago. The Bar was busy but there was plenty of room and seats became readily available. The beer was very tasty and the range available was impressive.

A great bar, good beers and real ales. They often have live music acts on during the weekend.

Fantastic, a real pub and not a superficial "bar". Didn't try the food as we were already booked in to eat at the hotel, but everything else was great. Lots of good beers to try, great atmosphere and very friendly staff who were a great advert for Newcastle in general and the Ouseburn area in particular. Will be a must next time we're in Newcastle.

Nice bar with live music, bar can get busy but everyone queues for bar in proper order, good selection of beers and staff very helpful, lots of seating outside with views of canal, definitely worth a visit.

A really lovely bar at the end of the ouesburn. Plenty of seating and a really nice atmosphere. The bar has a great selection of lagers and beers, including having my favourite lager on draft for a reasonable price.

Brian and I, plus, many, many rock fans came to the Tyne Bar to see "The Proper Boys" play on the stage, outside in the sunshine on a July Sunday. A fantastic band, with a classic 70's groove.

Great pub underneath the arches on the river Tyne. Good selection of beers and the offer of a burger and pint for under a tenner on Thursdays cannot be beaten!

Great for lunch, after works drinks or weekend hangout. Food is always good, orders placed at the bar. Get there early after work to get a table.

We had a lovely time while we came here, The food was lovely I had the fish goujon chibatta with salad and fries (photo below) and it was lovely, staff were super friendly and atmosphere was great. You have the option to sit inside or outside for food/drinks, Will definitely be coming again.

Just a short walk from the millennium bridge; The Tyne Bar is a great place to get good, everyday food and if you like IPA style beers then you can't go wrong with the Jakehead on draught. Their own IPA is pretty tasty too. Some great burgers, the Korean chicken is particularly good.

We stopped in for a quick drink at the Tyne Bar on the recommendation of a friend. The day we went, it was gloriously sunny and they pub looks out across the River Tyne (hence the name). The beer was good and it's a nice place after exploring the Baltic Gallery (on the opposite side of the river).Very pleasant.

Bit of a hike to the loo up a tight staircase, but no more so than a Spoons and it had some really interesting posters so was worth the walk. Really busy ... which is a good sign. Definitely a popular place. Interesting to see somewhere so busy on a Saturday afternoon. Great new find for me.

bustling local pub - my first night in newcastle, the bar staff was extremely friendly and helpful giving me recommendations for the area and i felt right at home. great atmosphere and beers.
