Friendly staff, good food at very reasonable prices. Good selection of draft/cask ale. Bit of a hike to the loo up a tight staircase, but no more so than a Spoons and it had some really interesting posters so was worth the walk. Really busy ... which is a good sign. Definitely a popular place. Interesting to see somewhere so busy on a Saturday afternoon. Great new find for me.

bustling local pub - my first night in newcastle, the bar staff was extremely friendly and helpful giving me recommendations for the area and i felt right at home. great atmosphere and beers.

The food is tremendous and they really really look after their beer well. It's a tremendous place with a great vibe and cool people. The location is excellent too. I highly recommend this place.

A gem of a place! We went on Tuesdays where you get free food if you spend £7. The FOOD WAS AMAZING! The vegan sausage with potatoes and gravy was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had while in the UK. And I got two pints to go with it! Make sure to come here on Tuesdays.

Sunday gigs are great, with friendly clients. Gets very busy, when gigs are on.

Simply the Best!! Yes this is a marvelous destination at the end of the ouseburn which runs through that delightful park jesmond deme so you actually get fit walking to this destination. The bar furnishings are amazing and there's often a live band playing under the railway arch adjacent to this bar. Lovely attentive staff and great crowd and amazing Craic ....go for it.

Played with a band here last Sunday afternoon. Lovely staff,great atmosphere, loads of different beers on draught.Stayed overnight in Newcastle and came back on Monday afternoon to eat. Again, staff were great, food was lush.Every town should have a Tyne Bar.Don't change a thing 👏👏

Properly enjoyed Tyne Bar yet again yesterday. Superb pint selection, incredibly tasty sweet potato fries & interesting toppings - cracking music, with a band playing. Truly enjoyed the sun & atmosphere wi friends, on a happy sunny Sunday

I was in the Tyne bar yesterday which I visit reasonably regularly. The atmosphere was great as usual the beer was great but we all had some food. I had the fish baguette. While most of it was OK the baguette was totally inedible. I told the waiter when he collected the plate but he just brushed it off. When you spend £10 on a sandwich you would expect the bread to be at least edible. I will revisit the Tyne bar again as usual but I definitely won't have a baguette there ever again.

Went on the Victorian Tunnel Tour, so had something to eat beforehand. Show your tickets to the bar staff, and you get 25% discount off food. Food is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

Strange place for a Wedding reception. However the food was excellent and didn't run out. Chilli was excellent please try everyone, even if you don't like Chilli you're in for a treat. Great staff. No parking lot.

Myself, the family and dogs went to see Groovetrain play at the supremely dog friendly Tyne Bar. Ordered a vegan hot dog which was delicious. My dogs Charlie (pictured) and George were in good company and got lots off fusses off customers, the band members and staff. Loved it.

Great selection of beers and ales. Great craik.. free jukebox.. very eclectic clientele...giving the place a unique vibe 👌🍻 Visited this evening as the weather was so nice. I was hungry but didn't fancy anything from the main menu. The specials board had cottage pie and peas for £8.95.. I thought that might just hit the spot. OMG, it was bloody lush!! So tasty.. I almost licked the plate clean.. epic 👌

What a great place, plus great cider!

One of the finest bars in the whole of newcastle. There is a huge selection of ale here to choose from and a decent variety of spirits, too. Seating both indoors and outdoors, by the river ouse or under a bridge out back. These factors create some very interesting Acoustics when there is live music, which there is often. The food is tasty and the portion size os pretty big. Great place to stop for food. So many good memories of hot sunny days, great bands amd cold wonters nights. Never change Tyne bar!

Have always visited the Tyne Bar for boozy nights out but not for food. Today on a daytime wander decided to grab some food there. My daughter had the Korean chicken rice bowl and loved it. It was substantial and a lot of thought had gone into the ingredients. She couldn't finish it, it was so big. I got the single chicken sharwarma platter. Again it was substantial, lots of chicken and humous. The price was great, for 2 meals, a pint, a lemonade, and a tea it came in just over £25! Would definitely recommend.

I went here after work. There was live music, an outdoor cocktail bar and a great atmosphere.

Great atmosphere at this popular pub at the bottom of the Ouseburn just before the cycle hub. Great drinks selection and well priced too. Lovely staff. Great nibbles (brownies and crumbles are spot on). Interesting mixed clientele. Lots of outdoor seating. Clean toilets. Delicious Korean chicken burger today. Deal with drink (beer lager or soft drink) is good on Thursday for 9.95. Chips extra Proper atmospheric. Great tunes. Highly recommend

Love the place, always a good atmosphere, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Tyne bar is great for its atmosphere, selection of beers and live music. There is something here for everyone. The outdoor seating can have nice sunset skies on a clear day and often there can be music in the backyard. Definitely one to add to the rotation or on a pub crawl you won’t be disappointed.

When I ask for a half I want a half not a pint. Music ear splittingly loud when hardly any one in the middle of the afternoon.

Awesome bar, in an awesome location. So many different beers and ales to choose from with seating in the bar downstairs and upstairs, outside in a covered area and on the waterside!! A wide diversity of punters all enjoying the same friendly atmosphere.

Great bar on the banks of the Ouseburn. We couldn't eat there as the kitchen was unexpectedly closed but we will be back. Fabulous location

Nice little pub, loads of seating outside if the weather is decent. But even then there is an entire area underneath a bridge. Plenty of options for drinks and staff were helpful when I asked for recommendations.

I always enjoy it here. I've never eaten as I'm too busy enjoying the beer! It's awesome when a band is playing. So many people come to support live music. A big shout out to the staff who work their backsides off. Cheers

Just a short walk from the millennium bridge; The Tyne Bar is a great place to get good, everyday food and if you like IPA style beers then you can't go wrong with the Jakehead on draught. Their own IPA is pretty tasty too

Absolutely delicious food! I’m a fan of nutritious and healthy food and this place offers many options! I got CRISPY CHICKEN RICE BOWL and it was really good! Crispy but not overly fried chicken, crusty chickpeas (even my bf liked) and fresh salad with Japanese rice. What else works you want? Definitely coming back for this dish! Atmosphere is great too, very relaxing and nice view.

Only drank here, atmosphere is good, plenty of selections to choose from, they often have live bands and sometimes outdoor performances on a stage, which attract quite big crowds, worth a drink here.

Nice bar but toilets are upstairs and there's no disabled toilet on the ground floor so if you have any mobility issues then you should avoid

Very busy day sat outside age group seemed to be late 20s mid thirties. Food looked fine. Some of the serving staff wasn't the brightest.

Great selection of ale, friendly staff, , good atmosphere. Shame to receive our drinks in a plastic cup, considering it was only very early evening , this was a shame. Other than that excellent.

Excellent watering hole. Good selection of beers and spirits. Bit pricey but worth it. Third time there and great atmosphere each time. Bit of a hidden gem. Staff very good no problems getting served even when really busy. Exercise

Great vegan and vegetarian food, they sometimes have free food on certain nights, fantastic place, can get so busy in the summer you would have to wait a while to get in, toilets are upstairs, loads of outside seating and a band stage, I highly recommend the vegetarian mezze platter, the one for one person could happily feed two people, they have takeout boxes you can ask for too.

Went for a walk down by the riverside popped in for some food, you've got to try their nachos they are lovely, foods amazing, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere 👍
