Good vibe and really nice outdoor area with heaters. Big shoutout to kitchen team, went up to order some food even though kitchen had just closed but Josh said it sound and we got 2 patty melts with fries. Josh and Reb were both really nice and also smashed it, never had a burger like this one in some thick soft toasted bread (which i think they make themselves?) instead of a bun and the whole burger was absolutely banging. Was just what we needed, unreal grub alongside some pints and great hospitality

Great venue and the band Lawrence County were great. More than just a bit annoyed that after getting there in plenty of time to get a good seat where we could see the band we were moved to accommodate a large party. The party we were moved for didn’t even seem interested in the band.

Been here a few times now, great place, drinks and live music.

I’ve been in Newcastle for around 7 years and the thing I always thought was missing was a bar I loved, then I found Billys and it instantly became my favourite, class in every aspect, always have the best time. Everyone friendly, great music, great dance, wonderful atmosphere. At Halloween it somehow became even better when it went all spooky design. It is full of great American decor which will make you feel like you’re drinking in Texas If you like great music and great people it is most definitely the place to go in Newcastle

Usually love this venue , but too much of families taking over and distracting from the band that I specifically came to see today... Okay at first, but was going on for two hours and clearly acceptable for the money they spent perhaps? Little child was cute but being swang around by the maybe 'auntie' was a bit worrying... myself and my partner are giving a wide birth now , BUT loved the band, the hound cats , will look forward to seeing them again , somewhere else maybe ? Sorry ..

Always a great experience with friendly staff and great happy hour prices. (Sunday till Thursday 4-8 pm). Good selection of everything. Very clean beer. Good music. Pool table. Friendly staff. A bit quiet on a Thursday night but staff were great, ice tea selection marvellous and price matched it. Nice little place for a drink.

Visited on Thursday 15th August at the end of a very long day and the staff were amazing. Really friendly, helpful and informed. And finished off the night with the most delicious glass of water I've eveer drank. Cheers!

espresso martini was 5/6 foam, so i go ask for a replacement since there is practically no liquid. bartender charges me for the re -pour, which has significantly less liquid. i’ve been here a few times and i am disgusted with how i was ignored

Great venue. I haven't been as a customer, but they do give me (well, my bandleader) gigs and they treat their musicians very well. The drinks are nice and the whiskey mashes are delicious. They have lots of regular live entertainment and the place is jumping when people are on proper nights out.

Went on Sunday afternoon (visiting from N Ireland). We were looking to go to see a live band and found this place. It’s really quirky, the band were great, loved it. I tried the Moonshider, cider and moonshine, tasted of apples and cinnamon, very tasty 🤤

Used to be arch 2, better now.....wide selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Its like a small American bar taken straight out of a film. Vist and you'll be impressed. Sensible prices for this day. Bud on tap was soooooo good.....

Incredible place to visit, with a wide selection of drinks on offer and live bands that will blow your socks off. This venue just goes from strength. Ive heard they’ve had a change in management since September (good!) and I didn’t think it was possible to get any better but it certainly has! If I was wearing a cap I would doff it to the industrious and convivial staff that operate behind the bar. Just amazing. They’ve made me fall in love with Pickle juice so much that I’ve even asked my family for a jar for Christmas! 🤞 (PS also Great lighting in there)

I’m really lucky to have Billy’s opposite to where I work. We go in often and the staff are always brilliant! The atmosphere is great, nice levels of music so you’re not shouting at each other. The range of drinks is extensive, 100% recommend an espresso martini. Food is always fast and really tasty! Try and get in for some love music it’s a brilliant location for a band! Thanks for the brilliant service last night, 100% started my Christmas break with a bang!

Fantastic little venue with some great live music on whenever I've been on the weekends. Great selection of original drinks and cocktails to match the theme of the bar and prices are good as well. They've even got a happy hour on from like 4-8pm every day of the midweek too! It's fantastic value and makes it my favourite place to go in Ouseburn.

Service was disgusting. The blond haired women behind the bar told me at 11.45 she couldn't serve me a can of schofferhoffer becuase they were closing. I would not have minded at all being a worker in retail but continued to serve 7 people after me. I was upset and felt left out and discriminated against! Horrible!

Better than the old Billy Bootleggers needed a space as big as this the whole time. Great music,drink and atmosphere. Go here instead of the centre of town. Was a deal on too 35 percent off to 20 percent mon-fri before 8pm. I'm still here on last Friday before Xmas paying way less than near by bars.

They have a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Bar staff are always friendly and outdoor seating (with heaters!!) is available. If you're in the Ouseburn area it's definitely worth a visit.
