We often order from Kamal, the food is fantastic, the tikka has a wonderful smokey flavour, our last order was missing a starter, no problem, we called the restaurant and a member of staff kindly delivered the missing item. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Kamal excellent flood, amazing service!!

This is our second time getting a meal delivered from here. This second time we gave them a second chance, as the first time we both were up all night being sick etc. However this time has been exactly the same. My partner has vomited all night and I have had diarrhea. We will not be ordering from here ever again.

Had starters and mains, everything tasted the same ie you could only taste the spices. The tastiest thing was the onion Bhakti. Won’t be getting another takeaway from here.

Amazing food and staff is really friendly

Ten of us visited here for a 40th Birthday celebration. We were NOT disappointed.... The restaurants decor has been updated. The service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, with large portion sizes which are all at a reasonable price. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. You have to take your own drink as they do not have an alcohol license,however, this was not an issue. A cracking visit.....

Overhyped Bangladesh curry restaurant where all curry taste same. Be careful these people charge 10 %service charge when you pay by card. (They should ask as a hand to courtesy).

My go to takeaway for food ! But went with 3 of my friends for a sit in catch up would like to say a thank you to the staff who were on point in all there service and another thanks to the chefs as food was as always beautiful 👌

I popped into Kamal balti last Thursday with a couple of friends for dinner, the service and the food were excellent. I can highly recommend Kamal balti 100 % I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Take your own beer and wine etc but there’s a good selection of options for soft drinks. The manager Umayr was most attentive and made us feel very welcome.

Hands down the best curries in Newcastle will never order from anywhere else, always quick delivery time and food is always spot on. Recommend trying the Chefs Specials as they’re all different from the typical curries you can get and are absolutely lush !

This is the last time I order from kamal I spent £30.80 and it was one of the worst Indians I've ever had chicken was tough and ordered chicken tikka masala that they had put marinated chicken in normal curry sauce wow

I've been a customer for 5 years now every time is absolutely outstanding but tonight it was something else I rang to compliment the chefs on my order I haven't couldn't eat else where for Indian food thats meal tonight was phenomenal thank you

Absolutely delicious and authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine! The seating is comfortable with a touch of luxury, and the staff are polite and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. The portion sizes are good for the price; I’d highly recommend the lamb karahi and keema naan. Their mango lassi is also one of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely come here again!

Only had a delivery so can’t comment on the actual sit-in restaurant itself but everything food-wise was class! Worked out at roughly £13 per head for 3 people and we were all properly stuffed! Will definitely be ordering again.

I have been coming here for over 15 years for our end of season awards night. The staff have always been extremely friendly and courteous and have catered for all needs. The food is excellent, which is why we keep coming back. I would highly recommend for any occasion.

Absolute favourite Indian takeaway. Always delicious, has never failed me and always delivers correct food nice and hot and on time. Highly recommend, though for people who can't handle spice and like a mild korma be warned. My girlfriend always has it as it is quite spicy for a korma but claims it to be the best korma she has ever had. I personally loved the onion bhaji and the lamb pasanda. Once again massively recommend and can't wait to go in person!

Really tasty, never had a bad meal. You can certainly taste the smokiness from the tandoor oven, not something you always get. If you normally get chicken tikka starters I highly recommend getting the House Special Mixed Boti, you get so much more for couple extra quid. Thanks again

Visited the restaurant for an evening meal after reading the reviews and 5 * hygiene rating. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. Positive: nice and clean, friendly staff. Clean toilets. Food: after ordering Waited only a couple of minutes and papadums came with pickle and chutnies. Nice. Waitress asked how do we want our starters and main meal. Asked starters first and main meal afterwards. Food came together with starters. Meat wasn't tender. And was unable to break meat with naan as they taken all the knives and forks with the papadums tray. Asked for knife and fork. Then the gentleman asked is everything ok. I said no the meat is not that tender so he said don't eat this he will bring another dish. While we were waiting for the meat dish, naans were cold by the new meat dish arrived. In starters potato slices were not cooked fully. Negative: when asked about the meat wasn't tender in the karahi, we were given the most silly excuse as they grilled the meat in the oven then cooked in the karahi so that's why. As we were novice and silly, he thought we would believe what he said. Starters and main meal came together so which one you eat first, either way other dish will go cold. In the bill they included price for pickle tray and service charges which wasn't mentioned in the Manu. Do I go back there NO Advice: don't treat customers like they don't know much about the food and don't give them silly explanations to cover up your mistakes. Just admit it's a mistake and we will put it right. That's much accepted and leaves good impression.

get m food from here quite often ordered food tnite for delivery was like warm. and the standard of the food was terrible the sauce was nearly black in colour bland taste with just sauce and lamb in it and left it my son got one the night before but a different curry and the one i got tonight looked exactly the same as the previous nights butt diff curry’s gonna try somewhere else next time for my indians

Thought it was about time i reviewed this place. Kamal is the best in the area, food is always of quality and tastey. Friends and family have used for years now. Even if you get a ‘not so great one’ which happens from time to time with any food places, it’s still never bad. 5✨ because they deserve it.

It's a halal fine dining restaurant with plenty selections of authentic Indian cuisine. If you're a first-timer, just ask the waiter and they will recommend the menu based on your preferences. I asked for the recommended menu and because I like spicy food, they recommended Lamb Handi and it's not on the menu. The taste is really good and spiciness level is spot on (though for me it's mild). The lamb meat is very tender, the aroma reminds me of Indonesian beef rendang. A must try menu. Another meal we tried: Chicken Curry, Pilau Rice, and garlic naan.

I would give below 0 if I could.Been with kids waited for an hour to order no one came over to take the order. Some people who came after me they had their food but we were still waiting for the order. We left the restaurant the rude waiter was not even bothered about it and was staring at me why I left restaurant. I was with my kids so ignored him and quietly left otherwise he deserved a slap on his ugly face as he didn’t know how to respect someone who is with a family Will never go again. If you can wait to just order food after 1-2 hours then go otherwise RUN

Been meaning to try this place for a while so decided to take the wife there for a midweek treat and am I glad that I did. Went there on a Tuesday night at 7pm and they had a few tables in. The place is BYOB and they were more than happy to provide us with the wine glasses for our bottle. Without a corkage fee I must add. My wife ordered the Bhuna prawn on puree and I ordered the Sheekh kebab for starters. Both were delicious. The main courses were Lamb Karachi and Chicken Jalfrezi accompanied with rice and Nan breads. All were delightful. There was plenty of food left over so they put it into a doggy bag for us to take home. An absolutely lovely meal with great service.

We chose Kamal for new years eve because the food is so good. My favourite dish is the Korma and the Peshwari Naan, highly recommend! The restaurant is lovely, great for either a quiet date night or large gathering with friends and family.

Absolutely excellent food and excellent service, a great family ran restaurant and authentic Indian food. Had a brilliant NYE meal with a large family sitting. We will return and I will recommend, this is hands down the best Indian cuisine in the northeast. Thank you😀👍🏼

Waited 2.5 hrs for delivery. Food was cold and sweaty when it arrived with dishes missing. Stale popadoms and old naan breads. Expensive and disappointing .

This is the second time we've eaten here. We like the food, the restaurant is always warm (which might seem standard but I can assure you isn't always in every restaurant). We have had food to take away with us.

Ordered 2 onion bhaji starters , totally dried out tasteless, and only one portion of salad sent , ordered chicken korma as we don't like spicy food , this was tangerine orange in colour and definitely not mild, korma tends to be yellow in colour , neither of us could eat it, and the stuffed paratha was tasteless , all in all paid £40 for meal and it ended up in bin

Have been visiting Kamal’s at least once a month for quite a few years now. Have never been disappointed . The food is excellent, the portions are good and it is very reasonably priced. Service is very good and the staff are all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always recommend to friends as a good reliable choice.
