I would give below 0 if I could.Been with kids waited for an hour to order no one came over to take the order. Some people who came after me they had their food but we were still waiting for the order. We left the restaurant the rude waiter was not even bothered about it and was staring at me why I left restaurant. I was with my kids so ignored him and quietly left otherwise he deserved a slap on his ugly face as he didn’t know how to respect someone who is with a family Will never go again. If you can wait to just order food after 1-2 hours then go otherwise RUN

Beautiful food. Picked up a takeaway and staying in an Airbnb over the road Delicious food and one of the best pickle trays I've had in a long while. Great friendly service.

Been meaning to try this place for a while so decided to take the wife there for a midweek treat and am I glad that I did. Went there on a Tuesday night at 7pm and they had a few tables in. The place is BYOB and they were more than happy to provide us with the wine glasses for our bottle. Without a corkage fee I must add. My wife ordered the Bhuna prawn on puree and I ordered the Sheekh kebab for starters. Both were delicious. The main courses were Lamb Karachi and Chicken Jalfrezi accompanied with rice and Nan breads. All were delightful. There was plenty of food left over so they put it into a doggy bag for us to take home. An absolutely lovely meal with great service.

We chose Kamal for new years eve because the food is so good. My favourite dish is the Korma and the Peshwari Naan, highly recommend! The restaurant is lovely, great for either a quiet date night or large gathering with friends and family.

Absolutely excellent food and excellent service, a great family ran restaurant and authentic Indian food. Had a brilliant NYE meal with a large family sitting. We will return and I will recommend, this is hands down the best Indian cuisine in the northeast. Thank you😀👍🏼

Waited 2.5 hrs for delivery. Food was cold and sweaty when it arrived with dishes missing. Stale popadoms and old naan breads. Expensive and disappointing .

This is the second time we've eaten here. We like the food, the restaurant is always warm (which might seem standard but I can assure you isn't always in every restaurant). We have had food to take away with us.

Ordered 2 onion bhaji starters , totally dried out tasteless, and only one portion of salad sent , ordered chicken korma as we don't like spicy food , this was tangerine orange in colour and definitely not mild, korma tends to be yellow in colour , neither of us could eat it, and the stuffed paratha was tasteless , all in all paid £40 for meal and it ended up in bin

Have been visiting Kamal’s at least once a month for quite a few years now. Have never been disappointed . The food is excellent, the portions are good and it is very reasonably priced. Service is very good and the staff are all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always recommend to friends as a good reliable choice.

Ordered our meal 5.18 and was told it would be within the hour to deliver, it came 6.40, delivery driver was lovely, The meal was cold, onion bhaji were awful, I've been inside the restaurant loads of times, and always had a lovely meal, but wouldn't get delivery again

Had a takeaway the firs yiut time was good the second time was not so good the karhi and jalfrezy taste the same and could taste nothing but chilli powder there was no onion or green peppers in the jalfrezy and what was there was tiny thin slices not happy that I have to through it in the bin guess it hasnt changed rice was full of curry powder the paratha wasn't nothing like a paratha chiken chat was perfect the curry was fine

Never, have I ever, been to a better Indian restaurant. The food is always amazing, takeaway or dine-in. The staff are lovely and the food is even better!! Would never go anywhere else. I have tried other places in Newcastle but nowhere is as good. The portions are fabulous and all curries are good!! 100% worth a try!! You’ll not regret it.

Good food, very loud music due to a party upstairs. We waited 45 min for the food, but it was probably because of the big party. Restaurant is very nice looking inside, and everything seems very clean. Worth a visit.

Would give them 0 if I could. As a southeast asian, the food they served was nothing like actual southeast asian food! It was sickly sweet to the point it was inedible. Had to bin all the food- which is a last resort for me who hates to waste food. Not only was the food terrible but the service was equally appalling. While waiting for our takeout, me and my husband ordered starters in the restaurant and were told by the staff "we usually don't serve if its only one starter" (though he misheard as we ordered one each). Even if we had only ordered one starter, I find it terrible that they limit customers and deny them service. Especially when it was an additional courtesy order to the takeout, while we were waiting FOR THEM. They didn't bother considering the grandscheme of things and how we were an infant, partner and new mum waiting in a restaraunt for an order we had just placed though it was the same waiter we ordered the takeaway from. Cocky, funny attitudes- didnt even sincerely apologise when i brought it up. SOUTH EAST ASIANS RUN this isnt the place for you. Its not real desi food.

Ordered a takeaway meal for a family gathering and everyone absolutely loved the food! We got a range of different things from the menu, everything arrived piping hot, big portions and was absolutely delicious! Food is so bland, worst rice dish ever tasted. Taking order which we didn't make and demanded to pay for that even when we didn't take the food. Very bad customer service.

VEGANS BEWARE!!! we were assured they cater for vegans, when our food eventually arrived, everything was in one bag, all the none vegan and vegan food together, it was not packed correctly, vegetable dishes supposed to be vegan friendly burst everywhere with yoghurt burst everywhere covered everything, breads and all. When we tried to get a full refund, we were told "I'm trying sort it out for you" all we wanted was a refund, no no no they would replace the opened dishes that is all,so they were really only sorting it out for themselves, everything went in the bin. Waist of hard earned money. NEVER AGAIN!! SHOCKING SERVICE. I only gave it a star as there's no option for zero stars

The service in this place is second to none. Mo and Nivan are fantastic. They are quick, happy and have a good sense of humor. The best Indian food i have had. The prices are very good. Highly recommended

Food is good. My wife loved it more than I did. Mainly, service and atmosphere adds to the food experience. Prices are reasonable and not overpriced at all. Because of service. It is a nice place to go to when need to take guests out for dinner.

Very delicious food 😍😍 it is all new and it is a totally different experience you should try it, you can ask the chef to help if you’re tasting Indian food for the first time, resealable price.

First time here and the food and service was amazing from start to finish, our waiter Mo was brilliant, very chatty,very knowledgeable and generally a really nice guy. I’m already looking forward to going back again in the near future!

Food was delivered with incorrect meals. One dish contained almost raw meat (still red - lamb) total health and safety issue. Given 1 star because I can't give zero. Avoid at all costs.

Just ordered tandoori lamb chops as a starter, and tandoori cocktail as a main with a garlic Nan for delivery. Great service on the phone, very quick delivery- food was hot! The food was outstanding, chops were tender and not over seasoned, nice fresh salad. The rest of the food was awesome- best I’ve had from an Indian restaurant for many years ( I’m getting on a bit lol). Quality, well cooked food delivered hot! Cheers Kamal Tom

Bland and only luke warm food (collected on time and had it home and served within seconds too). Service was good upon collection. Portion size was good. Wouldn't return unfortunately. Will stick with my usual along the road Edit: I'm telling you. It was warm, at best. No steam coming off it at all. Both of us said it, not just me. I live seconds from the restaurant and even used the car to transport it, despite being so close. It was not hot

Wonderful authentic food, made with high quality ingredients. The meats have been cooked on coal and it reflects in the depth of flavour. Staff are kind and courteous, the venue is lovely with a function room upstairs for parties!

Ordering a takeaway on 5nov Literally in the panner curry is just consist of chilli powered gravy no taste and it’s extremely spicy We asked for extra hot but this is just panner in chilli powder sauce I advise please not order any curries from this restaurant

I am/was a regular customer, I ordered chicken madras, mushroom pilau rice and a plain naan bread, chicken was dry and tasteless naan bread was cold. Not impressed I will not be back
