Layover in Newcastle upon Tyne

Wanted to try something different for Valentine’s and I made the best choice ever. Tasting menu was faboulous, the steak and strawberry cremeux OMG.. speechless

Perfectly fine meal but wouldn't go put of my way to go back. Cooking inconsistent, even with same dish on one table, service fine but very much just OK. Some of the dishes were good but not enough to balance put as worth a repeat visit. Would make me not book Nest either by association.

This place is wonderful and a real asset to Heaton.We only had cocktails,spiced prawns, Guinness bread and the salmon roulade but the service was friendly and informed. Definitely coming back.

Absolutely loved Hide! Was very excited for it opening after being a big fan of Layover, the bar it was previously. They have done an amazing job on the decor and it has a great atmosphere. The food was incredible, I had the Alwinton Lamb which was cooked to perfection! All four us loved the food and practically licked the plates clean! Dessert was just as good and the cheeseboard had generous portions and a great selection. The service is fantastic as well, very friendly and knowledgeable of their dishes. I can’t wait to return!

Hide was a fantastic experience; the menu was varied and the food we chose was delicious, and all the food we saw go to other tables looked amazing too. Service was great, staff friendly and attentive. Would absolutely recommend.

Some interesting and quite tasty cocktail options. We'd love to go back again but as I know the name is changing to Hide while maintaining their great service and creative offerings and adding some more food options. As a bonus it's dog friendly!

Nice little bar, modern inside. An extensive cocktail menu, and a a few ales to choose from.

The atmosphere was wonderful, with a positive feeling. The people at the bar were really friendly, and we were seated right away. Finally, the cocktails were absolutely excellent. I certainly recommend it for a tasty and enjoyable drink.
