Waited over an hour and a half for our food to arrive and the quality was not good :( will not be coming back

Very friendly and welcoming pub. Very good menu choices with fantastic tasting, well cooked food. Good range of drinks with Madri on tap being a bonus. I really enjoyed my visit. I will be back again very soon!

It's not a bad pub, but it's mostly for locals. No one said anything, but it felt like all eyes on us when we entered. A little uncomfortable for me. But otherwise, if you're ok with that, then it's not that bad.

The service we received from Alex was excellent. He was very helpful and hope he’s working next time we visit.

I also noticed they had cards to donate a meal etc to a homeless person or persons on a local website (which I thought was a good idea)

We came early evening on NYE for a meal for my birthday. In the past our visits haven’t been wonderful, but we hadn’t been for a while, so thought we would try again. And glad we did. The restaurant looked festive, the food was all available and came out relatively quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we had a lovely time. Staff were friendly too. Thanks all!

We were a party of 8. Most of our main meals were cold. 2 meals had items missing and the mac and cheese was vile overcooked pasta with melted grated cheese! We ordered pudding 2 being warm chocolate fudge cake which also came out cold. We sent it back to be warmed up! Highly disappointed.

Value for money food, not much atmosphere, but it was a weekday evening and quite early. Facilities clean and fresh. Good place for a catch up.

It was disgusting My husband ordered hotdog with chilli. There was barely any chilli and the hot dog was burnt litterally like charcoal. I ordered mixed grill and asked for the steak to be well done- turned up red We waited 50 minutes for our food and it was in edible. Presentation of my husbands food was substandard and both in edible. Waste of our Friday evening and went home hungry. Manager was brilliant however and couldn’t apologise enough. We got a refund on our meals

Today's girlie Christmas lunch was a bit of a let down for us. Lunch was late (we were there 50 mins before our food arrived, even though they were pretty empty) and 2 of the 4 meals was lukewarm; the 2 fish and chips were very hot, so they'd obviously cooked the burger etc prior to even starting the fish. My food was the worst, a burger that was so well done the outside was crunchy, the piece of American cheese hadn't melted and was still cold from the packet... the burger was warm and the fries lukewarm. By the time I'd crunched thru the burger the fries were cold, so I didn't eat them. We told the server and he agreed that the wait was too long for the amount of people actually in there (I could see maybe 5 tables not empty); he did offer to send food back, but we'd waited so long that we didn't have time to wait again... I did give him back the cold plastic cheese though. The worst food I've had in there to date, unfortunately.

Food come out cold, when said this came back microwaved and inedible. Will not be going back.

The food was nice. The steak was a bit overcooked, but other than that, it was decent.

Did not have food this time but has always been good when we have, had a festival meal that was really nice. All the staff are really nice , Shannon served us our festive meal and was on duty today, always lovely, friendly and helpful.

Had a very nice with the family. Very nice restaurant with Great customer service particularly from Chelsea. Would highly recommend.

Booked for 6 people pre xmas lunch. Poor quality food served cold to our table. No cutlery. Had to wait. No Tartar sauce with fish as per menu. Mushy peas cold sent back and returned hardly warm...No attention to details and chef or cook sending out cold chips... Maybe thats why you make people pay first as they might deduct poor food and service

Problem is, not always open when it should be, but generally a good place to eat & reasonably priced.

Sausage and mash was the way to go perfect in everyday, chelsea was so polite and such a laugh to be around has alot of banta hard working team

Come in here most weeks, get food a couple times a month, staff are super friendly, hard working, professional, can have a good laugh with them and they’re really good with children, my son adores every single staff member, especially Chelsea, Shannon, Kat, Emma and Ruby The food is really nice, tastes nice and is cooked very well

I’ve visited the Tyler’s rest on and off for at least a decade and it’s varied honestly. However at present it has the best atomosphere, management and team it ever has. Thank you Taylor, Becca, Chelsea, David, Ruby, Shannon, Emma, Warren and Cameron and the others who’s names escape me!!👍 Owners however need to attend to toilets, decking/garden, cleaners and leaking roof.

We ordered two identical burgers with fries. My husband's burger and fries were perfect. But my food was terrible. The chicken was burnt (black) and the fries were like chewing gum. We told the lady who served us and she replied that she would bring a new food. Unfortunately, she brought the same burger only with new fries. We waited 45 minutes for two burgers. I'm disappointed.

Regret to write this becouse it use to be a nice place. 6 months ago l left a 5* review , l am regretting it. We went tonight and at 19:50 the kitchen was shut. We driven 35 minutes with a 2vyears old baby to listen that the kitchen was closed. Caversham use to be the same. Unreliable. If you are unreliable you can't run a pub.

Eat here about once a month - generally good value for money Went last night and was very disappointed - ordering the food was a very painful process. Seemed a new guy taking the food orders at the bar. No support from His colleagues or management and the process of ordering took forever . Food was fine but management really need to look at supporting the new/less experienced members of staff

Wouldn’t bother!!! Very quiet, yet waited an age for the food to arrive. Kids burger came out like a brick I could have used it to build a house, clearly warmed up in the microwave with the lettuce the way it was all shrivelled!!! We asked for the burger to be replaced then a bun came out on its own, no burger. So asked again for the burger to be replaced, then a burger came out without a new bun even though the bun on its own had been sat there over 10mins!!.. Gave up in the end. Ordered a mixed grill aswell and asked for medium/well done steak. It’s was very rare, couldn’t be arsed after the kids meal incident and walked out!! Defiantly avoid this place at all cost!!!!!

My family and I used to eat here all the time, but stopped a couple of years ago as felt it went down hill. We visited over the weekend and the food was absolutely delicious! Great service. Highly recommend.

Came down on Wednesday 8th had the surf and turf and classic mixed grill was greeted by a lovely guy called gordon very happy and always smiling nice bloke great attitude to work and service from start to finish

Very poor experience. Disappointed as last visit was so much better. Not enough staff, too long wait and over charged for food.

This is a community goldmine, serving locals with affordable food and more importantly, customer care.

First time going here, and it was lovely. The food was good, and the staff were lovely to definitely be coming back to eat again.

I came in yesterday for a quick drink after work, was having a rough day so wanted some time alone, There was a member of staff on the bar that served me, she handed me my drink and asked if I was doing okay, i said yeah not too bad, and she replied back to me “are u sure” we had a lovely conversation and it made my day alot better, so thankyou very much to Ruby with the redish pink hair on the bar for lifting my mood🫶🏼

Came in yesterday for food and drink with my partner and a friend,and my pooch got 5 starters for 11:75 and food for my doggo as they had a doggy food menu, food was top notch and the new drinks menu stood out perfect cocktails just the right price, big thank you to the staff and chefs got a happy doggo now ❤️🐶

Atmosphere at Tyler’s is always relaxed, and puts my anxiety at ease, dog friendly pub is always one for the connected pooches with a delightful doggy menu and water with or without ice available. Shannon served us today with a smile and polite manner. Definitely my favourite pub within the local area with new and revise drinks menu alongside a great hit off with their new food options. Adjustments welcome for picky eaters or those with allergies. All round fabulous experience!!

I find it miserable and over priced Victoria up the road is better more welcoming now.

8 of us went here for a pre wedding meal but only 7 of us got main meals. The grooms main meal never arrived despite double checking. Only 1 of 3 starters came out too. The poor waitress Ruby was so rushed off her feet it's a wonder she knew what day it was. To her credit she did a sterling job and was very polite. There was also a group of about 10 or so that were sat at the next table that were so rowdy we couldn't hear one another. Locals apparently. They were constantly up and down, squeezing past to get by to get outside for cigarettes, most annoying. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. Probably wouldn't return.

Over priced for what it is and rude service

We were a group of 8 who wanted to order as 4 couples. Actually ordering was straight forward and we expected that the food might arrive at different times, what we didn't expect was that some of the food wouldn't arrive. 2 starters just didn't turn up and one main didn't come out. The young lady serving did her best but clearly there was a breakdown between the till and the kitchen. To be fair the manager refunded the missing food without issue but it did leave one of our party searching for the nearest fast food outlet.

Food was as expected for a chain pub, nothing amazing, price matched the quality. Chicken burger was good.

It’s brilliant here the staff are very friendly the atmosphere is amazing the food presentation was amazing only thing I would say is the presentation was amazing but some of the food was a bit dry main meal wise drinks desert and starts are amazing just all depends what you get but all in all I’d still give a solid 10/10 had an amazing time

Loved the clean and tidy environment. The atmosphere is welcoming and child friendly. The steak was lovely and moist. Enjoyed the mashed potato it was smooth and creamy. There is a separate bar for over 18s, which looked elegant and refreshing.

I've yet to Try the food in here, never actually eaten inside the premises, I was actually there working, carrying out the service we provide for them, the staff and management were very helpful, forthcoming e t c, and I sorted out their blocked urinals for them.. Haven't been for ages as went really down hill. There was 10 of us, so a big party. The man who served us was lovely friendly and addressed all the children. Told us what they didn't have. Order was all correct and we loved that the children were served first! Not 1 complaint about the food, even the steaks were cooked perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to go back and already told 3 people how good it was!

Rough and ready, absolutely freezing cold in the restaurant.

A nice relaxed atmosphere with a choice of seating. You can order from your phone or at the bar. A good selection of food, which tastes good but can look unappetising. That being said, I cannot fault the quality or the taste for the money we paid. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall it's a great little restaurant with a separate pub/bar area and free parking.

Came here for a family Christmas meal. Can't not fault it. Food was lovely and staff were so kind and accommodate. They made us feel so special. Great start too our Christmas. Thank you also for our Christmas card.
