It's been years since I came here for food, but we had the most delicious meal on my birthday a few weeks ago! If you are looking for AMAZING food, in a beautiful restaurant, with exceptional service, this is your place! Book in advance. We are hoping to return for one of the themed nights that we have seen advertised recently.

We have been eating here for years and have sent MANY guests from our holiday cottages to enjoy this fanlous pub and its great food, welcome and atmosphere. If you want a great pub experience with excellent food go to the two clomes

Where to start..... Ordered satai stir fry with prawns. The stir fry consisted of almost uncooked peppers with pasta and prawns swimming in a sauce, no veg, and hard prawns. The waitress said the pasta was noodles, but it wasn't. I've had enough pasta and Tai food in my life to know it was pasta!! My husband had lamb in red wine sauce. It was more like a hot pot without much meat. Red wine sauce is reduced to a thick sauce, this was runny like a watery salty gravy, and the veg was harder than Al Dante if that's to your taste you're fine, but we won't be eating there again!! ------------- Firstly, we are horrified we left without paying for our second drink and will be phoning with card details as we always pay our way !! Secondly, a stir fry indicates more than just Peppers !! If your menu had said stick rice noodles I could possibly have been prepared for something that resembled pasta, and the prawns, well they were just tough. Finally. Your menu states ' Braised Lamb cooked in a rich red wine gravy, topped with boulangere potatoes, honey roasted Carrots and buttered greens'......sounds delicious. It came out as a hot pot, with a few tiddly bits of lamb in a runny gravy. The waitress said it was a hot pot, and your interpretation of Al Dante is clearly different from most. Perhaps our problem is that we are NOT used to eating in pub chains !! Maybe we just got a bad batch !! I don't think we'll be eating with you again anyway. It would have left a better taste if you'd apologised, just as we apologised for the paux pas regarding the drink.

Took my old Dad and he loved it. Great food and drink. Served well and in pleasent surroundings. Really impressed.

Cannot fault the place at all! Besides listing my husband's name as Sammy instead of Danny, but that made us laugh! The Sunday roast is on par with the best I've ever eaten, and you wanna try my husbands roast potatoes! Will be back next time we're down this way

THE best Sunday lunch I've had in ages. Second visit here and not been let down in the slightest. A definite one for a return visit next year. Well done to all the staff today and thank you. X

We have been going to this pub for 3 years, when on holiday in Cornwall. The food is outstanding, the staff are wonderful and the price's are very reasonable. We eat there 2 to 3 times a week whilst on holiday. The Sunday roast we would happily drive from Devon 110 miles, just for lunch!!! Superb!!

Unassuming, small pub but the food is outstanding and beautifully presented. The kind of food you think about afterwards.

Sunday Roast absolutely delicious!!!

Visited whilst on holiday. Food was delicious. Recommend the lamb, sweet potatoes and greens it was 10/10 . Husband had a burger which he really enjoyed. We did wait 45-50 minutes for our meals ( we only ordered mains) but it was freshly cooked and I suppose fresh food can take a while to cook. It’s a very popular pub, We parked on a side street because carpark was completely full.

My wife and I, came for a meal last night. We both had steak, and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfection. Great service and we also had afters. Superb!

We went for Sunday Lunch, we didn't reserve a table, just called in. The Sunday lunch was amazing, we had the mixed meat (pork and beef), the roast potatoes were beautiful and home made, tasty gravy and 6 veg with the meal. One of the best Sunday lunches I have had in a long time. Service lovely and surroundings were really pleasant.

Delicious food, generous size portions and top quality. Service was also fantastic and great value for money. Highly recommend. Will return for another meal on our holiday next year.

Relaxed and friendly pub. The food is amazing, something for everyone to enjoy and well priced. Their roast dinners are insane 👌 the staff are amazing. Massive plus point for me is they are dog friendly so can pop in with them too. Wish we had found this place sooner!!

Lovely little pub with great food. Parking was a bit of a faff when we first got there as the car park was full, but managed to get parked a little bit further down the road. You can't book a table here so we opted for an earlier dinner and arrived about 6pm. Plenty of tables available inside and outside. My family of 5 plus dog were promptly seated and orders taken. I ordered the sirloin steak, which was cooked exactly as ordered, the rest of the family had the sea bass, Korean noodles, and Thai curry. They all enjoyed their food. We all opted for dessert, between us we ordered sticky toffee pudding, Eton mess, cheesecake and ice-cream, they were all really good, but unanimous winner was the sticky toffee pudding which was the best I've had in a long long time (plus portions were huge). Recommend a visit if you are in Cornwall.

Fantastic pub and the meals were perfect! My youngest daughter said it’s the best burger she’s had.

Been this evening with my son, couldn't fault it, staff sincerely friendly, welcoming and attentive. Food, excellent!! Highly recommend

A lovely place to find when on holiday

Amazing food lovely staff very friendly and a chef to die for a fair price for wonderful food. We had the cured meat platter so mixed Italian meats mozzarella pearls black olives and an amazing honey based sauce I had crab croquettes we both had sea bass cooked to perfection and I pigged out with a caramelised banana split. All of it was wonderful my congratulations to the chef and waiting staff who were all attentive , friendly, and wonderful.. Back the manager also a wonderful person. And needs to be congratulated on a wonderful well run happy team

What a lovely find. We live locally, but never realised this amazing pub was there. Very friendly and attentive service. Outstanding food, a lovely relaxing atmosphere and very reasonable prices.Good vegetarian options too. Thank you, we will visit again soon.

A traditional pub with a good choice of options for all on the menu. It's children and dog friendly and the staff were excellent. All the food came out freshly prepared. I had their house burger which was delicious with a fresh home made pattie and plenty of relish and sides. I will definitely return to this pub for a dinner in the future.

Wow...... Can't sing the praise of this pub enough. Found on Google and thought we'd give it a go as holidaying in the area. Didn't think that at 13.45 on a Sunday that there would be any chance of a table, luckily we were wrong. We were told there we'd be a delay of around 20 minutes so grab a drink. Sat down in 5 mins and staff couldn't be more accommodating. Ordered 2 roast beef, one double burger and one sea bass. The food was absolutely phenomenal, best roast I have experienced in a very long time, (even better than my own). My wife throughly enjoyed the sea bass. It's not often that I can leave such a review for such excellence, but this is truly one time. If you can get here, I suggest you do so. Thanks to all the staff throughout, especially the chef....😋😋😋😋😋

Such a shame. Looks a really lovely place!! We looked on the website whilst trying to find somewhere to eat. It said they served food until 21:00. We rang to book a table and fancied something as late as possible. We were told that the kitchen shuts at 21:00 so arrive at 20:45 latest. When we arrived at 20:35 and were told that kitchen had closed I can’t express the disappointment we felt!! When we questioned what the website said and what we were told on the phone, by their staff, just 2 hours earlier, we were simply shrugged off “we haven’t been busy for the last hour so decided to shut the kitchen early”!!! Well that’s just great!! Leaving us to find somewhere to else!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Very disappointing. NO empathy. NO concern. NOT even an apology, really!

It was the best decision eating here. The food was AMAZING, the portions were very big and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely come again next time I visit Newquay.

Great find. My wife and I had a superb meal. My wife is Coeliac and so needs Gluten Free and they have an excellent Gluten Free specific menu. She had a lovely Chicken Thai Red Curry. I had the double beef burger. It was huge. The beef lovely and cumbly and so tasty. The only downside was that I was so full I had to forgo the caramelised banana dessert I had eyed up. I'll be back a second time, so will make sure I leave space! Very friendly. Great service. Great food. Highly recommended. Note, the car park is smallish (around 20 cars) but the food and experience more than makes up for it

The food was extremely over priced. My partner had a lamb dish which was over, we complained and they said they had no more lamb but another customer was given lamb later. I had a tai curry which was purely very raw onions and peppers with cubes of chicken in what seemed like a korma sauce with some coconut added. My dessert was meant to be Eaton Mess but was literally a bowl of whipped cream with half a dozen raspberries and a wafer of meringue stuck in the top. We were really disappointed as the atmosphere was good and we were able to take our dog. Would not recommend.

Good all round , but there were dogs in and the smell was overpowering unfortunately. No dogs inside please!!

Whilst away on holiday we found this little gem of a place. Food was fantastic, service was quick and all staff seemed very friendly. Highly recommend!

Stayed in cornwall for 3 nights and came here 2 out of the 3 as the food was so delicious. Staff were wonderful too! Highly recommend!

Delicious food served fast . Friendly staff with a great sense of humour. Felt relaxed we loved our evening there. My daughter said 5 stars for sausage and mash and she's fussy. Best food we had whilst on our holiday

Amazing meal in a super dog friendly pub. Eton mess dessert was to die for!

4 adults, two teenagers and two dogs made welcome by friendly attentive staff. Seabass, Korean noodles with belly pork, fish and chips, burger, Thai red curry with chicken ordered. All delicious, very good portion sizes, well presented. Prices very reasonable. Left the pub with the fussiest eater amongst us, saying it was the best meal he’s had in a long time.

11£ for a large glass of savignon blanc No Sunday dinner options left at 3 pm on a Sunday no gluten free options or options to cater to restricted diets due to medical conditions. The bar staff did comment, though, how tired they were due to a lock in the night before until later than 1am. 16.40 for a cider and large wine... all food 28/ 30 per plate. We didn't stay and decided to eat elsewhere. It’s a shame as our first visit, and we're only a short walk up the road. Further to the comments from the owner, I can only assume you were up later than "josh" who finished at gone 1am. As for the menu, I asked if gluten-free / dietary requirements were available and told that's the menu for today. We have just eaten in lewinick again, and the food is superb and caters to all requirements. I'm sure it's just a one-off as I've heard good feedback about the two clomes. Hence, we deviated from our normal restaurant choices.

CAN NOT RATE THIS PLACE ENOUGH !!! Food was out of this world,staff polite and attentive...The Pub itself was an old traditional pub... We opted for the roast beef after having the crabmeat starter...and it was absolutely lovely..EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection,the only downside is that there was not enough room in my belly for pudding.... Would I recommend and come here again ???? Without a second thought YES YES YES

Visited today we had the Korean noodles which were overly sweet the overall dish was not appealing looking like it had just been dumped in a dish. Also had the children's carvery with beef .,the meat was fatty and tough the vegetables were cold and the whole dish was swimming in a gravy which was fatty , the 2 quarters of potato appeared to have been cooked yesterday . The service was appalling we were meant to know that cutlery on the table meant it was reserved ! We noted that a lot of dishes going back to the kitchen had food left on them but if the food was eaten then ,and only then did people get asked if there meal was alright . We shall not be returning . A most disappointing meal all round.

The food at this pub is excellent. It is both a 'locals' pub and for visitors. Parking at the back, nice little garden, clean, modern restaurant area. We will definitely return on our next visit.

The Two Clomes is awesome. End of. Down here on holiday for the week…. Been twice…. Zak/Zack/Zackie and the team are absolutely on it from start to finish. Great food, great atmosphere, great clientele.. drinks and food for the price is amazing, had 2 great meals this week. Fantastic gluten free options as well, my Uncle was well happy! Even catered for my two fussy girls…. No chicken option on the kids menu but again, twice…. Knocked up some banging chicken and chips for them to eat. The staff are more than happy to help with anything…. Keep up the great work…. If you are in Newquay for your holidays, get yourselves in here for a meal. Thanks so much!!

Food was good. Where we sat was a bit cold. The food took an hour to come. They did come out and apologise, though, without us complaining.

Cracking little restaurant with polite and attentive staff, good atmosphere and beautifully cooked top class food.

Reserved table set up before arrival. Appropriately-timed offer of drinks. Food we chose was of exceptionally good quality. Well patronised. Friendly employees. Dog friendly.

Excellent food, excellent staff wonderful ale. We had Sunday lunch for £16 each and we ended up very full! ...could hardly stagger out to the car. I had a pint of St Austell Tribute which was very good - nearly as good as Proper Job which is my absolute favourite.

While on holiday wanting to have a Sunday lunch ,we came upon the Two Chimes,absolutely delicious food,what a plateful ,not only the roast meat and yorkshire pudding (huge) we had two other choice of vegatables besides the vegatables served separately.The sweet choice was delicious as well (sticky pudding ) large portion.The service was 1st class and ALLthe staff were very welcoming . If your staying near Newquay ,we highly recommend you visit this pub and restaurant for meal.

We came for Sunday lunch with friends and were blown away with the friendly staff , excellent service and incredible food. The Sunday lunch is amazing , the beef was beautifully cooked accompanied by stunning roasters , Yorkshire pudding and vegetables . Not only was the food incredible the price is affordable and portions generous. Likewise the dessert, orange and chocolate brioche bread and butter with custard was a winner. Well done to the team in this beautiful pub . We will be back when we are back in the area .

Although the views from the Lewinnick Lodge are good , the atmosphere and service at the Two Clomes is excellent ! When it comes to the food , it is considerably tastier at a fraction of the cost! A good wine selection too.

Firstly I must say I haven't had time to try the food there yet, but I will at some point. I will point out that they serve an excellent pint of Guinness. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, the service is very good, just for that I pop back regularly (obviously for the Guinness as well though). Ten out of ten, not expecting the food to be anything less than excellent when I do try it. Would advise anyone to pop in, it's a lovely pub, full of character, charm and yet with a chilled and relaxed atmosphere.

Came here on Xmas eve and whilst the decor and service was nice. The portions of meat were disappointing and at £17 my roast beef had more fat than meat

This is our local and we are super happy it is! Lovely food as always and the staff were extremely friendly. Our daughter doesn't like certains foods and having them touch - the waiter overheard us ask her if she wanted us to scrape it off and he was extremely accommodating by offering to change the plate and asked her directly what she wanted to keep/get rid of. Great service as always!

In a group of 6, 2 were dissatisfied with the food. The burgers had a really strange taste and just crumled when cut, as though no binding agent had been used. The rest of the group really enjoyed their food.

Possibly the best Sunday roast I've ever had. Enormous yorkshires, generous, perfectly cooked beef and a wee bit of brisket too. Was very busy and is ideal for a nice cosy atmosphere, obviously tall folk will need to be cautious over the low ceilings. Seemed very popular and we had to book ahead of time and it was still a squeeze to get us in - clearly a go-to location. Would definitely visit again

1st visit here and certainly won't be the last. Wife and I both had the duck main course and it was absolutely delicious. The sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream dessert was the best I've had in a long time. Staff were very friendly and helpful, price was reasonable. We look forward to our next visit.
