The Tudor Hotel in North Lanarkshire

The hotel owner was coming onto a lady in a funeral party. Apparently this isn't his first offence. What appalling behaviour especially given the association of the Tudor in Airdrie with funerals.

Popped in here today for lunch with my Mum, considering I've lived in Airdrie 43 years I've only been a handful of times... Which is actually a shame as the food and service was excellent! Pleasant staff, fast service, tasty food and decent prices, whats not to like :)

Great pub grub style food in a well kept restaurant. Staff very friendly and welcoming too.

A regular of 20+ years for weekly lunch but the quality of food has gone down dramatically. I have given the benefit of doubt the last 3 times but the food is not good at all. Unfortunately don't think I'll be back. Which saddens me really.

Was over for a family birthday 🎂 🥳 10 ppl and had a great time with fantastic food and family friendly prices 😊 I had the nachos followed with the morning after burger with a haggis fritter and black pudding with egg and crispy bacon 🥓.. wow 👌 👏 can't wait to go back again

Great place for all occasions, weddings, social gatherings etc. staff very friendly and efficient. Would thoroughly recommend a visit it’s very clean and comfortable. A good central base to have when visiting Lanarkshire and surrounding areas, without City prices

Haven't been for a while as the vegetarian/vegan options were poor, however yesterday I was delighted with the options. I had the veggie no chicken burger and chips. Lovely made chips were delicious. The seats were comfortable, and it was nice and cosy.

Went here for a funeral tea and it was lovely. Service was great and staff very polite.

Excellent menu , great service, pleasant surroundings, and you can have smaller portions of main courses, which is great if you're not a big eater.Well done Tudor.

Absolutely disgraceful they don't answer the phone 15 mins at 3pm calling and one answered then hung up outrageous they aren't that busy 😡😡😡😡

Popped in for a bite to eat and noted it has great parking available, it’s clean, tidy and has lots of staff on so you never have to wait for service. Food was good but I would say the portions for the price were a little small.

Had my wedding in the Tudor nearly 40 years ago. Have been in there lots of times having lunch or dinner and alway would recommend it to all my friends and family. But was in there a couple of weeks ago and was very disappointed with the food I had and the rest of my family that was with us said the same. Food was disappointing. So I am very sorry I won't be back again. Was very disappointed with the food.

Nice hotel with large restaurant and friendly staff....only thing is that I called and booked and asked for a nice table and got out right beside the kitchen swinging doors....disappointed in this...... overall food was fine and service and friendliness The bar area was colourful and inviting.

Best hotel I've been too, rooms are great ,the beds really comfy, plenty of tea and coffee. Staff were exceptional and polite. The menu list is the largest and the amount of dishes that they have on the menu is for everyone .the food is very very good and plenty of it. Thankyou to all the staff there, for looking after me and my daughter, as we were there for a funeral. Thankyou again tudor hotel.

Very friendly staff who were very accommodating to my dad who was in a wheelchair. They also have a smaller meal version which was ample for our appetites.

So funny how the hotel has my dog on their website,but don't allow dogs in it ! Lol 😆

A comfortable nights stay. Pleasant staff. Enjoyable evening meal in the Bistro and a good Scottish breakfast. Good value and recommended if you need to stay in North Lanarkshire or need easy access to Glasgow.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the family-run hotel located along a quiet and peaceful street. The hotel is conveniently located just a 4-minute walk away from the nearest train station, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for easy access to transportation. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the staff, who were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated and furnished, and I was pleased to find that they all had en suite bathrooms, TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. I stayed in the family room, which was spacious and comfortably slept 4 guests. The hotel also offers a range of amenities for its guests to enjoy, including a play area for children and a stylish bar/bistro with a lovely beer garden. I particularly enjoyed spending some time in the bar/bistro area, which had a warm and inviting atmosphere and served delicious food and drinks. One of the best parts of my stay was the full Scottish breakfast that was available each morning. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and featured a range of local Scottish specialties that were absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the area. The staff is friendly, the rooms are cozy, and the amenities are excellent. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to the area.

Tudor was my husbands favourite place to have fishpie,,we went in just to remember the amazing 20 years he had enjoyed eating there. We had Sunday Roast lovely tender beef,gravy and all the trimmings

Bit of a crisis with babysitter and new baby needing dropped off to settle him while out for lunch with my daughter. We had no cash, only card, and taxi did not take card payments. Murray & Derek (restaurant staff) were amazing and came to our rescue and ‘sorted’ the taxi fare. Thanks so much to you both. Really appreciate it 🙌

The Tudor hosted a funeral lunch for my late mother in law. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or respectful and put on a lovely meal for us. Highly recommended. M.A. Pender & Malc

Great night at my works Christmas party,great entertainment all night,food was brilliant.

I booked a 1 night stay for 3 adults 10-11th Dec and travelled to glasgow from birmingham due to a family member admitted to monklands hospital. This was the closest hotel I could find but was aware it was 3 star rating. Upon arriving I was greeted with a warm welcome and the ambiance was really nice, until I went up to room 21, we had 2 single beds and a sofa bed, the room was freezing and when I went to check on the window I noticed the handle was broken so I called the reception and they sent someone up to check who confirmed the handle was broken and as there were no more rooms available he secured it as best he could. The hotel did refund £25 back to me, I left the room and went to the hospital and later in the evening came back. The bathroom had a notice on saying " hot water ", the water was luke warm I didnt have the energy to complain by that point. In the morning the shower water was freezing cold , I called reception and two ladies turned up to say that they are trying to add water in the tank and we need to wait, I showed them the plug socket which was hanging off, I showed them the shower head and the carpet in the room which was still dirty from the last stay it seemed like. What annoyed me the most was the door handle was not working correctly so we came in went to bed and just assumed the door was locked. 9am we came downstairs for brekky and had to point out on two tea cups that they were not washed properly. Honestly by this point I was in tears as I have a very sick family member in the hospital and we were miles away from home. The staff I cannot fault they were really pleasant and nice but I could see everything we mentioned was out of there pay bracket. Personally I would NEVER stay here again.

I came from Birmingham to have a 1 night stay from the 10th to 11th dec to be close to a family member who got admitted to Monklands hospital. Arriving to the hotel it was very welcoming and the staff was very pleasant . I was given the key for room no 21 which had two single beds and 1 sofa bed . The room was freezing and when I went to check the window I noticed the handle was broken . I called reception and they sent there maintenance man up who secured it as best as he could as there were no other rooms available . The hotel did refund me £25 from the room balance, I dropped my luggage and went back to the hospital. We returned late , walked up to the door and noticed it was not locked , I assumed when leaving the room that the door will shut and will lock itself however this was not the case as the lock was faulty and you had to fiddle around with it to get it locked by the key. I had no energy left to ring or complain . The following morning went to have a shower and the water was cold, called reception and they sent 2 ladies up who said they were sorting the tanking out . In daylight I could see the carpet was dirty , it seemed like it was not hoovered from the last stay. The socket was hanging off , the shower head was about to snap . My sisters called reception to make them aware of all this and the lady said why didn’t we flag this last night when we flagged the window even though she knew our situation and why we was visiting Glasgow . We went to have breakfast and the lady there was really pleasant , however the tea cups were not cleaned properly so I addressed them to her and she changed them promptly . Overall I would not stay at this 3 star hotel again , however the staff working there are really pleasant and accommodating as best as they can be.

Both of us were in for a meal and one was edible and the other meal not!! Won’t be back, food has went down hill - few family members were regulars

Waiter that took the meal and drink order was fine food was ok however my empty pint glass sat at the table to be walked by so many times before i had to ask for another, more bizarrely the waitress brought the bill and called out how much it was before putting it down on the table.

Service was excellent. Food was plenty and very tasty. Prices very good. Will definitely return...

Beware if you have allergies. When we asked the waiting staff to consult the chefs regarding our allergies, they never got back to us. Our food was then served by a different member of staff so we asked “Has this been checked?” They knew nothing of the discussion about allergies. I then emailed afterwards to request that something be done before someone gets hurt and the email has gone ignored.

We ate here tonight foe first time and won't be in a hurry to return. Food was mediocre once it arrived after 30 min wait. The staff were pleasant enough but service was poor. Had to keep getting up from our seat if we needed anything brown sauce, more napkins, more drinks etc and sat so long after we finished our meal had to go find someone to ask for dessert menus!! When we received our desserts eventually they didn't give us cutlery to eat them with , I had to actually leave my table and go into corridor to find someone to get us some. Very disappointing and will definitely not return or recommend

Just love this hotel. Staff are great rooms are great its the only hotel i stay in when i go to watch the great celtic.

We had lunch last Sunday . We couldn't hear ourselves think. 4 or 5 members of staff continued to gather next to our table continued talking with foul language. The food was look warm at best, very poor quality. Think they may have changed staff. I had steak pie the pastry was burned and an obvious reheat it tasted sour and off. It should be noted we have lunched here at least once a month for years and will not be back.

My go to place when visiting Airdrie with the family. Clean rooms, friendly staff and great food.

Food used to be great but was disappointed this time. ChicKen curry was breaded chicken ut in half and curry sauce with rice. Won't be back

Had a great time with family and friends and a good meal to follow. We were there several months ago and the toilet seat in the gents attached to the restaurant was hanging off. Still in the same condition and to make things worse there was no soap to wash with. Therefore the three stars.

Whats happened to the Tudor? This used to be a favourite of ours at the weekend were we'd regularly have lunch but the last couple of times we've been the food has been sub-par! The serving staff are miserable and non attentive with several serving the same table at once and the food! So bland yesterday had to season it about five times to get any flavour! The Tudor used to be a go too! Now its a NO Too! Giving it a swerve for a couple of years at least

I've never had a bad meal here. Great wee place. I've tried almost every dish that doesn't have cheese. (Only because I hate cheese. My fellow diners tell me the cheese dishes are ace too, though, if that's your kind of thing.) Their steak pie is particularly good, and they do smaller portions if there are any kids or picky eaters in your party. (My mum's elderly, and can't manage a full meal sometimes, so they're good for her.) Recommended. One of my 3 favourite restaurants in Scotland, and the best in Lanarkshire.

Booked meal for 4 people in Dec. Paid £40 deposit. Had to Cancel due to Covid. Called & gave them plenty of notice. I asked them for refund of deposit. I was told they would get back to me. After several calls with no response. Went to their Reception. I was informed that no refund would be given, due to me cancelling. Not good policy. Very bad level of service.

Give hotel with really friendly staff.

The staff here are incredibly helpful and I really enjoyed my brief stay here. I didn't arrive until midnight on the first night and staff were happy to leave me sandwiches and a drink in my room for my arrival which was greatly appreciated. The whole two days, the staff went over and above for us, nothing was too much trouble at all. On the second night, the head chef even kept the kitchen open a little later for us so we could eat dinner there. The WiFi is also free, easy to log on to and incredibly strong. It does not dip at night time either which seems to be the norm for alot of hotels lately. However, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and very lumpy. You could feel all of the springs and at times it was painful. There was also some of the previous guests' half used toiletries still in the bathroom, which was a little disappointing but it is fair to say it is likely to be a completely genuine error because the room overall was incredibly clean and tidy. The walls are very thin so my mum and I may as well have saved the money and shared a room with each other as I could hear her sneezing and snoring anyway. And finally, whilst you walk down to the reception, you get a lovely view of the bins and piles of rubbish which is not very nice to look at on your way to breakfast. Overall, I would definately stay here again but this is because of the staff and their commitment to giving you the best stay ever. They take the time to get to know you and talk to you and they were all fantastic.
