We booked a Friday lunch for us and my aunt; lucky we did. We had a wonderful welcome by the staff on a very chilly day. As we were lead to out table we realised the place was packed with diners. Our table was close to the log burner and the heat was welcome and we could remove our coats and relax. There were a lot of talking at other tables but we were still able to speak and hear. There is a relaxed attitude throughout the restaurant. No pressure to order and leave. It was clear the servers were observant and attentive. The menu plus the Specials Board was long and it took a while to pick our dishes. It took a while for the dishes to arrive, we only had mains, but considering the number of diners it was not overlong. The food when it arrived was perfect; Sea Base fillet, Lamb Tagine and Pan-Roast Chicken. Well cooked and good portions. It is not cheap but the food, ambience and service makes it good value for money.

What a fabulous place to have a wonderful meal or enjoy a coffee with a good choice of cake. The menu is varied with a range of specials & vegetarian options. Using fresh produce and locally sourced seasonal food where possible. Really enjoyed the steak & kidney pie today, which yes, is a proper individual pie served with potatoes & seasonal veg 😋. Finished off with marmalade bread & butter pudding with lashings of vanilla custard. Fab 👍♥️ Jacqui and the team always give a warm welcome and are very dog friendly 🐶. The garden is a must when the sun shines 😎🌞. Do book ahead to be assured of a table. Enjoy 👍☺️

We loved it!! We are traveling through the Cotswolds and we have seen the good reviews and decided to visit. Best decision impossible! We were looking for something traditional English with modern touches and we think we got it. For dinner, two people ordered two starters, a main to share and a dessert. For us, the perfect amount! The portions are large and everything is incredible. It is a small family business and we loved that, our waiter was charming and gave us great advice on what to choose. The kitchen works fast and well. Even the coffee is delicious!! It has its own parking right at the door, which is great.

Oh Dear! Big lessons in Customer Service are needed. We sat down for what would have been a lovely sunday roast... we are Tetbury residents but have only been here once before so we were excited to try it again. No sooner was a bottle of wine delivered to our table and passed right over our baby's head by a seemingly very inexperienced young barman, then before our eyes as he attempted to place it down on the table (a tray with a full bottle and 4 wine glasses), right in front of baby's highchair, the bottle of wine tipped completely, hitting our baby in the face, spilling red wine all over her face and into her eyes, stained x3 layers of clothing... she was beside herself, and it left us shaken for lunch. We go up to the bar to pay the bill, the SAME bartender who spilt the wine then asks which table we were from! He then instructs how to add service charge! and low and behold the bottle of wine was not taken off the bill..... wow. Shocking. Should not have even been a question about this. When I politely mentioned to the landlady that it would have been nice if the wine was not charged for, she said "well I did offer to replace the bottle of wine"....You should have a) replaced the bottle of wine without even asking, and b) taken it off the hefty bill. Mistakes happen but there are ways to deal with them and this has left us vowing never to return or recommend.

I don't think I've ever had a better meal at a pub! The new landlords have created a menu with so many choices, it was tricky to pick just one from each course. There were four of us dining, and not one of us could fault our meal in any way. Quite superb. A lovely pub, with a good atmosphere, well trained staff and the best food. Top marks.

OMG - took my wife here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the food and service was amazing. If you want to be sure of a great pub lunch or dinner in the Cirencester / Tetbury area, which can be a bit hit and miss these days, then look no further than the Troublehouse, it’s the best I have been to in many years. I had Scallops as a starter and fillet steak as a main, both cooked to perfection. The fact that the pub restaurant was busy on a Tuesday lunch says it all. Thank you Troublehouse for a great Wedding Anniversary lunch and the special treat at the end. David and Raphaelle Watts

Most of our 4 meals were great but unfortunately the lamb shank wasn't up to scratch. The staff were great and replaced it without any fuss but this one wasn't great either. In fairness they were very apologetic and took this dish off the bill which seemed very fair. Everything else was great so I would suggest that this was the exception. Overall we felt that it was good value and we would be happy to return soon if we are looking for a venue in that area.

I’m so impressed with Trouble House! Came to visit for Sunday lunch last week and the service was quick, food arrived hot, great portion size, and was absolutely delicious! I ordered a nut roast Sunday dinner and I have to say it was the best I’ve ever had. The Yorkshire’s were large, we had plenty of roast potatoes and a variety of veg, all cooked well, not over done or soggy. Our Mum had the pork belly and again that was a large portion of meat and came with crackling. We came away so happy and would not hesitate to visit again!

Not very good at all. Booked in for lunch on Fathers day and chose the Trouble House as we expected something a bit special given the prices (which turned out to be more on the day than advertised on their website). How wrong we were, it's just a glorified pub serving at best mediocre food at restaurant prices. £18.50 for roast beef dinner which consisted of an overly large yorkshire pudding which took up most of the plate, a few little carrots, 2 small roast potatoes, a small amount of red cabbage, 2 small florets of broccoli (which were near to raw) and one single slice of beef! We had to order extra veg and potatoes which cost an extra £6, this gave us 5 small florets of broccoli and some red cabbage, and 6 potatoes. Absolute disgrace to be honest. In addition to that, we didn't get the honey roast parsnips as advertised so had to ask for them, we got given the wrong meals, 3 of us had been given our meals but my mum had to wait a while after for hers, and the staff although trying their very best were completely disorganised. I really can't understand all the good reviews on here, they must have been eating somewhere else, or just have very low expectations and big pockets. 4 roast dinners and a drink each, with no starter or desert cost us £100! I certainly won't be eating here again.

Delicious food, fantastic service and a hidden gem just on the outside of Tetbury. Me and my partner were very impressed with the quality of the food at the trouble house. My partner had the burger which was cooked to perfection and it was huge! Perfect portion for meat lovers. Sadly, I suffer with IBS so I stuck with the chicken dish with the mustard sauce on the side. But I was not disappointed as the chicken was very moist and tasty. After dinner, my partner had the crumble and in his words ‘this is the best crumble I’ve ever had. You could taste all the different fruits and the crumble was crunchy’.
