The Triangle Cafe in Suffolk Coastal

It was very busy, but we were served promptly, the staff were lovely and the food was good. Nothing fancy, but well cooked.

Arrived at Blue and Berry at 3.40 to be told we are closing at 4pm. Reluctant service! Cakes had been put away. Had to ask for one and it was debated.. had to ask for scone to be heated up! Now eating and it’s far too sweet..! Think of the obesity crisis..! The service has always been miserable, apart from one older lady - so we’ve not been for weeks and won’t be coming back! Sea You and Cafe Bencotto are better. Whoever owns this needs to ask whether they are only paying their staff until 4pm or later because they don’t want to serve after 3.30pm.

Regular destination after our Pilates class. Able to curate a breakfast, that is consistent with Slimming World Food Optimising. Friendly and efficient service. Lovely ambience.

Recommended for good food and service by another local business we visited while in town, we weren't disappointed. Even though they were really busy we were immediately seated and served by the very friendly and welcoming staff. My children had paninis, cheesy chips and milkshakes, my mum had a jacket spud and coronation chicken and I had the homemade burger and chips. Mum and I had coffees. Food and drink all fantastic.

A lovely place for lunch, the staff were very accommodating of us with a toddler. The food was great and it's a really friendly and clean cafe. Definitely recommend based on our experience today.

Another fantastic lunch here today, I have been coming here for meals ever since they opened, the food is wonderful, I have never had a bad meal, the cakes are delicious, the staff are really friendly, helpful and polite, it's a real little gem in the town, I recommend everyone to try it

Food was acceptable , when it finally arrived! We were seated immediately and served within minutes but waited nearly an hour for anything to arrive. Maybe not a place to pop into for a quick lunch?

Popped in on an outing to Felixstowe for lunch. Came with my wife, daughter and son-in-law and two young grandchildren. Placed on a nice big table so we could fold buggy away. Son-in-law and I both had the liver and bacon. Unfortunately not calves liver but still tasty and great bacon and mash. My wife having had dental surgery in the week had to make do with soup and some of the boys mash. My daughter had scampi and chips. Great coffee. Enjoyed the food and service.

Ate here twice when visiting Felixstowe and both times excellent. Nice scrambled eggs on proper bread and baked beans on toast. Good selection of the usual breakfast items-plus you can make up your own breakfast by picking items off of a list. Very good coffee and table service.

Lovely atmosphere, hot drinks served quickly. Well priced. Hot milk served in milk bottle too hot to handle needed to go to counter for napkins. Not made clear if its table service. All staff friendly.

This was my first visit to the cafe, it was nice to be able to chose the components for my breakfast and I was pleased to see an old favourite of mine,,, bubble and squeak was on the menu . What a superior breakfast it was. The components were quality and cooked nicely . Don’t expect some gut busting builders breakfast made from cheap products in here . What you get is nice quality , nicely presented . The staff were pleasant and the place was clean and beautifully decorated . 10/10 ladies

It is a lovely little café; went in with friends for coffee/brunch. Our drinks were served promptly, the bacon & egg sandwich I ordered was nice and hot. Fairly priced food and drinks and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere overall. Definitely recommend!

Decided after years of visiting I would not again! Tiny portions, half sized and highly priced. Food served is average at best, appears they are making maximum profit on smaller portions . £4.50 for a tiny slither of cake is what a friend paid and my husbands full English breakfast was like a child's portion. Save your money and go elsewhere, there's plenty of choice in Felixstowe.

A really outstanding cafe/restaurant in the middle of Felixstowe High St. Top class home food with great variety and quick, friendly service. 5 stars in all aspects.

Very nice food here- able to choose breakfast items to suit your needs, chose 5 vegetarian items and all nicely cooked. Polite staff- very good coffee and tea, very clean premises.

Although they state gluten free, no care is taken, even if you check food is gluten free it still suffers cross contamination , was ill very quickly after eating here with obvious gluttened effects , Either a lack of knowledge regards allergies or they frankly don't care

Come to Felixstowe for a bit of shoping with the family stop for lunch at blue & berry cafe we got a warm welcome from staff the food was great for me the banger and mash was banging and the gravy was awesome 100% the best cafe in Felixstowe thanks for making us fill welcome ☕

The food here was so good! Definitely worth going but them being closed sundays really lets it’s down! From working in a cafe I know Sunday is one of the most busiest days of the week, honestly if you ask me your missing out on the money. Sunday is my favourite day to go and get breakfast. Sunday is a lazy day or a go for a stroll day. Both of them things I would accompany with breakfast. It’s a shame, I would love to give you my business but simply can’t, because your closed.

Stopped for lunch I had the ham, egg n chips and partner had the vegetarian brunch. Both were great. Nice pot of tea too. Friendly staff.

We had a selection of bacon and sausage sandwiches for breakfast in the office this morning. The doorstep bread came in brown and white, bacon was perfect and the sausages were proper butchers sausages, so right on point.They also catered for our gluten free staff with suitable bread, so big bonus there as well.All in all excellent food and excellent service. We were served by a lovely young lady who if I remember rightly was called Betsy. She was very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was lovely aswell as the overall atmosphere. We will be returning

We ate breakfast here twice on a visit to Felixstowe and both times very good. Waitress service -very polite-lovely coffee-you can make up your ingredients for breakfast and it was lovely and piping hot. Fair prices-very nice surroundings and staff.

On a day visit to the town whilst staying in Suffolk we fancied a light snack thinking of just a coffee and cake. On entering we realised how clean and modern the interior was.The choice of food on the menu tempted us down the road of a savoury snack and the Panini’s were delicious. Top quality produce and excellent service from polite and efficient staff.Prices were also very fair.

Started out good .. with the question ‘one or two shots of coffee…’ then rapidly went downhill .. ended up with a large milky mess that I dumped in the nearest takeaway bin … honestly I can get better from a petrol garage machine …Why bother having an Italian Coffee Machine if you have no idea how to make good coffee .?!It’s not rocket science.

Me and the wife when down to Felixstowe for the day and we come across This lovely little cafe called Blue & berry in the town centre so we stopped for some lunch which was the best thing we did the food was Fleshly prepared and was very taste when it come out. all the staff were great and very helpful will Differently Be going back

Excellent quality of local food used and expertly prepared. Very friendly owner and staff. Made to feel welcome and very relaxing place to eat. Lots of room and space to eat. Cannot find a fault with it. Never had bad service or a bad meal. Food is cooked to perfection. If you want to rest your legs and enjoy great food then this is the place to go to

I do love the food which has always been great and the staff friendly. But it is not the place for a barking dog! I am trying to relax and enjoy my meal, but a woofing dog in an enclosed space, circling your legs and scaring children is not on! When I come again with my family if the dog is there, I'm sorry but I will eat elsewhere.

We had a panini each. Very mean with the fillings, 7 tortilla chips and a pinch (not even a handful) of salad. Not quite sure why they asked if we wanted dressing! Turned out to be more dressing than salad!!! Very over priced, definitely not value for money. Service was good though.

Went to pay and was told they have a £5 minimum to be able to use your swip card. As we now get table service and do not come from the area we were not told this prior to ordering. Paid for a cookie which was £1.95 to make the price up. When I got outside saw that I was charged £2.95. This left a nasty taste in the mouth. Would suggest that they informed customers when ordering of the minimum limit. Chip and pin use so must now do not carry cash. Not pleasant experience at all.

Visited Blue and Berry having heard good things for a drink and something to eat and was given good service from a blonde girl and thought the quality, value for money and portions of the food were very good for what we paid, strongly recommend

Looking for fish and chips for lunch most were only doing take away so called in and sat down.Our order was taken and soon arrived.The fish was very large and tasty and came with lovely chips and peas.We were pleased the other fish and chip shops were only doing take aways as what we had in Blue and Berry would be hard to beat

The food and coffee/tea very good, also good prices, we have visited 2 weekends on the trot.!Each visit found staff to be rather rude, slamming plates/cups on table. Ask if everything ok and walking off before you can even answer. One time music being played so loud you could hardly hear each other speaking. Because of this will not be returning.

Called in at about 3.30 pm having missed lunch and was delighted by range of sandwiches and paninis. We all enjoyed our meals and found service to be prompt and friendly. Toilet nice and clean too.

Popped in here for lunch during our annual New Year walking break in lovely sunny Felixstowe . We could see that there was a staff shortage problem and very nice polite waitress gave us a table.We had all day but knew we had been forgotten after half an hour so popped over to the tea counter where we were rudely told to "sit down and wait we'll be over when we can" . No , sorry , please , thank you or explanation etc.Clearly , we had no choice but to leave.With lunch time window fast diminishing went to Wimpey--excellent-see review.

Whilst the food and coffee is good, the service is always very slow. I waited over 15 minutes to place an order of soup and coffee and was told there would be a 20 minute wait for food. They are under staffed at busy periods. Not a place to go if you have a time constraint.

Easy to find and recommended by a local lady. Lovely clean establishment and very friendly service - very welcoming and wide menu choice Dad and I were goodish - bacon Sandwich and sausage sandwich with coffee - The coffee was very good indeed.

I took a friend in a wheelchair to this café. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, and helped. Two waitresses came immediately to help open the doors, without being asked. We were shown to a table and a chair was moved to help make way for my friend's wheelchair. The coffees we had were excellent and we shared two types of cake. These were very tasty and we were offered extra cutlery without asking for it. At the end of our time there we were helped out of the building. Thank you to the excellent staff who took care of us.

My wife and i called in at the Blue and Berry this morning at 11.50 a.m. for a light lunch. as there were no "Lunch Time" menus around i asked the waitress if i could have one please, she looked at the clock and said "You will have to wait another 10 minutes" after a quarter of an hour we still had no menu so i asked again. this time my wife and i received a menu. After waiting about another 20 minutes we still had no order taken despite having waitresses walk past us and 2 requests made for our order to be taken. At last we had our order taken. my Wife ordered Coronation chicken Jacket and I had a Prawn jacket. When the meal arrived my prawn jacket was fine, but my wife's Coronation ckicken was a sight to behold........bright yellow in colour, virtually no chicken whatsoever, just an absolutely pulpy mush, which tasted mainly of vinegar and mango's. We did complain, but the staff didn't really seem interested only to pass our messsage on to the kitchen staff who poked their heads round the corner and just stared at us. as i went to pay our bill the waitress said "We do make it ourselves and we shred the chicken" i should think they did shred the chicken by the state of the pulpy mush left on the plate. i did ask for some compensation, which they refused. needless to say we will never go there again, especialy with the "Couldn't care less" attitude of the staff!

Arrived half hour before it closed for a quick coffee. Staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. There were other customers still in the shop but when we arrived they Very much made it seem like they didn’t want us there. I felt embarrassed to be honest. They began cleaning the floor 20 mins before closing time meaning that the toilet was inaccessible without risk of slipping. Just seemed like they had lots to do to close up the cafe but surely it shouldn’t start until all customers have left and shouldn’t start 30 mins before closing time. It made us feel very awkward. I definitely won’t be going back.

Food average at best, chicken curry, barely any chicken with watery sauce. Member of staff eating with medium sized dog on shoulder, then lap, then running around jumping on furniture, behind counter, jumped up at counter, at kitchen door back on lap of staff who did not move. Unacceptable and unhygenic.

Been here a few times but definitely need somewhere else after Charity shopping! Whipped Cream Coffee Milkshake was too horrible to drink. Not at all sweet and left a very unpleasant aftertaste.

Family of 5 visitng midweek lunchtime. After a 30 minute wait we eventually received our 2 paninis , which were the poorest examples we'd ever seen. Small, bland, and lacking any sufficient fillings. Side salad was a joke - slice of tomato, slice of cucumber and three leaves! The waitress asked if we wanted dressing??Pointless. Poor effort and not good value for money. Made with no condiseration. We should have gone to Costa or one of the nice places we saw on the seafront afterwards.

Went here for lunch. I had cottage pie + veg off the special board at £9.75. The cottage pie had peas in, that's ok but did expect different veg on the side but it was peas again and no other veg + portion was quite small.

Decided to give this cafe a go rather than the usual Costa. Coffee was very nice, milkshakes disappointing, just made with syrup and quite expensive. Had Victoria sponge too, a bit dry and disappointing, well back to Costa or cafe Nero next time.

Food overpriced as not homemade standard , burgers way over cooked and tasteless, chips cold and found a fly in the salad , took one meal off the bill but blamed on us for not saying earlier but we wanted to eat together.

Came here with my husband and pooch and we were delighted to find it is dog friendly! Hurrah! Somewhere to eat breakfast inside with the pooch on a winters day. The breakfast menu was excellent, lots of options and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went to lengths to ensure we were happy with our food and drinks. The food was served quickly, and was fresh and tasty- I could only find one thing not to my liking and that was that the sausages were not classic pork but pork and leek - NO not for breakfast!! Breakfast sausages should be classic pork and nothing else. Aside from that, I was thrilled with the option of plum tomatoes - not many places have that as an option, the black pudding was totally yum and the toast came out in lovely generous slices of thick cut- absolutely delicious and SO filling!!

Had a lovely Christmas lunch here today very tasty and well presented the staff are lovely. Would recommend we often visit here and always enjoy the food.

My friend and I called in here for lunch, it was very busy and we were told we had to wait 20 minutes for our panini, the food was lovely and the staff very friendly. It all seemed very clean. I struggled to get out the toilet, the lock is dreadful which I see has been commented on before and unfortunately this doesnt seem to have dealt with, which I find unacceptable. Would go back but would not be using the toilet facilities.

Hotel breakfast never ever been changed though not bad. Blue n Berry does offer you some different options and nice breakfast. Good to have a try.

We popped in for a quick drink, but little'un was hungry so we stayed for food. They were busy, so we thought we would be waiting a while, but it didn't take long and it was all really nice.

First visit here for years and although the café is clean and nice feel about it there were two problems.

The restaurant does a great deal on the breakfast where you can choose exactly what you want by choosing six, seven items for a great price. The largest choice includes a coffee and for the price hard to beat. All cooked fresh and nice staff as well.

Came across this unpretentious looking cafe while waiting for the bus and decided to go in for a quick cup of coffee. What a surprise. Made very welcome with pleasant smiles and very comfortable seating. Decided to return for lunch and not disappointed. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented and the portions large.The whole place is bright and gleaming and the toilets well appointed and spotless though rather small. This being near all our favourite shops and only minutes from the beach,we shall be returning regularly.Faultless.

Went for lunch today at this place,never again.I asked if I could have the quiche and salad without chips as am on a diet,no she said it's a set meal so decided on chicken and bacon ceaser salad while she hurried me.It was bagged salad ,a few small pieces of chicken and awful rasher of salty bacon on top of it, which had all the parmesan cheese spinkled on so didn't have any,friend had apple pie and ice cream,it was a tiny piece of pie with horrible pastry and cheap ice cream.It seems they are a money grabbing outfit and sullen moody staff as well.BE WARNED

Visited for breakfast with my wife and 2 children. The lady who I spoke with was very un- welcoming and stern.... coffee tasted rank, food you forever, toast and jam didn't come with jam (had to ask)... bubble and squeak Was not nice, poached eggs were rock solid.. I would not go back

Spacious, good quality seating, solid tables. Friendly staff, table service and outside seating option with a wide range of drinks, meals and snacks. What sets this restaurant a step above many is that when on a very rare occasion you have any issue, the staff listen and resolve the issue, and if you are lucky enough to visit again that issue is never repeated. The food quality is top drawer, their breakfasts are plentiful and very reasonably priced, the fish and chips is cooked to perfection with a lovely light batter and there are even carbohydrate free options on both the breakfast and lunch menu's. If you are watching the diet though, be warned that the counter offers some amazing cakes, sausage rolls and very good quality scones.With multiple drinks to choose from including every luxury coffee option you would never regret your visit to this restaurant.

My son and I were out for the day exploring Felixstowe and came across this cafe for lunch. Lovely decor and seating, we were quickly given menus and chose somewhere to sit. We ordered and the food came quickly and it was nice. It’s reasonable and you won’t leave hungry. Would I go again - yes

This place is very clean and today with lots of room, staff were very friendly and quick service, menu was really good, lots of choice and good selection especially for children too, had sausage and mash, the veggies were amazing that come with it, we would recommend this over anywhere else in Felixstowe.... The only 1 thing i have thats negative is that the toilet was really smelly (drains) and if you sat near it it wasnt pleasant but thats easily fixed.

I wouldn’t go back here, they didn’t havhave enough staff on. We waited over twenty minutes to even get a menu. My friend has a severe fish allergy and despite the fact that a fryer should be kept free for people with fish allergies, they couldn’t guarantee the fat was fish free! We left without eating, as people were complaining about the wait for food.

Firstly I’m going to start by saying the wait staff were excellent and the seating area was clean and tidy.

We had a nice brisk walk in the freezing cold and rain along Felixstowe front. Being very cold and wet we needed a hot drink to warm us up. We stopped in and was greeted by the very friendly team. A couple of hot chocolates later, double helpings of the sausage rolls by my Son and some cake later we were all very happy, me especially as they even had Prosecco. Lovely place for a pit stop and would visit again. The lemon and poppyseed cake was amazing.

went in here as we just wanted somewhere to shelter from heavy and cold rain and sometimes finding somewhere disabled friendly can be a challenge. in this case it was fairly ok though didn't see a disabled toilet but managed normal 1 ok whether they have wheelchair friendly one could be problem if not. We found a table and put walker at other side but that wasn't a problem. Atmosphere was a mixture of cosy and modern stylishness and with mirrored walls at back gave it a bright and roomy appeal.we were give just a breakfast menu as we arrived before 12 noon but options were pretty good as I normally prefer lighter foods due to medical problems so opted for poached egg, salmon and toast at I think it was £4.95 and hubby had the fry up and you can choose up to 11 different items for around £5 so even a vegetarian could get a reasonable fry up and choose how you want your eggs as not everyone wants fried eggs so having a choice was great. the toast was huge slices of bloomer bread and my salmon was lovely though only thing I feel my poached eggs could done little longer as little too soft. It was cooked through but it's possibly just my preference but hubby also said his scrambled eggs were little underdone for him again whether that's his preferble taste as It was cooked but was a bit soft but I cannot deduct points on the eggs as they were cooked properly so so one was at risk or no harm done as we still ate our food. Waitresses were very busy and working very hard attending to peoples needs, serving and clearing up and seemed very proffessional at their work. Very polite and helpful to customers too.

This was my first visit today with Grandchildren and I must say that none of the negative comments in previous reviews were apparent. We arrived just before midday so some of the children chose from the breakfast menu and the rest of us chose from the lunchtime menu for food available after midday.

Replacing the long-established but rather tired ‘Triangle’ cafe a couple of years ago, this lunch-style restaurant (neither a cafe, bar nor bistro) has an appealing menu with interesting and imaginative daily specials. There are all the old favourites, plus some unusual new twists. Prices are very reasonable, making this a viable alternative for a cheapish lunch.
