Ain't been in years believe they don't do food anymore but it was a good afternoon

Always been welcomed their and nice and friendly staff

Great pub to go for food drink and bit of disco / karaoke 🎤

The food we had at bike night was good and the bar staff were friendly, not been in for years but will defo be going back again

Good friendly pub, reasonable beer prices with food available, worth a visit if you are in the area. Quiet during the week Just been here following refurbishment, very nice with some great drinks offers 😀

They have done great job refurbishment, no customers in ,pubs are not what they used to be to expensive now.

Went to a 1st birthday party really enjoyed lovely outdoor space for children nice and clean premises

New couple taken over 10 weeks ago. Whole place is very clean, the drinks are excellent, atmosphere is great. Large function room, large garden and dog friendly. Highly recommend

They have stopped selling trad beer, hence 1 star

A rating of 1 is far too many after the shocking experience we have had. Booked The Trent for my sisters wake, paid £50 deposit for the room and requested food for fellow mourners. Was given a quote for the food but told we could pay on the day. When we arrived we found that no food had been prepared for our visit and when the manager was called she said we hadn’t paid for the food so no was prepared, even when we told to pay on the day. Not only that she had my contact details so if this was an issue she could have called me to discuss. Leads me to believe that had we off paid would we have got the food 🤔. The deposit to ensure the cleanliness of the room but there were balloons about for a previous party. The staff had to return the deposit from the till as the manager never came to see us, even after saying she was on her way.

Not the place I use to know, needs a lot of TLC. The old loyal customers are still there keeping it going. No draught ale very few bottles in the fridge and little choice of anything else.

Came in years ago excellent, came in about 10 months ago well so dismal have been coming in the last few weeks and Jordan the bar manager has turned it around getting it refurbished and as good ideas for the place, beer is always good and he is always happy in his approach to customers, who are always friendly. Keep up the good work and hopefully people will return.

Nice clean pub, Lots of potential but not used to its full capacity. The garden could be stunning but isn't advertised as having a beer garden. Lovely friendly staff.

Had my mother in law’s funeral reception there couldn’t fault them buffet first class bar staff couldn’t do enough highly recommended it.

Reasonable prices. And nice people who use the pub.

Not very welcoming at all miserable staff had half of my drink and left.. toilets were disgusting and broken not sure if they were saving on electric but no lights were on gone down bank dramatically I won't be calling again use to be a lovely pub

Waited ages for drinks that were paid for on the app just to be told that the drinks I ordered were out of stock. Sat in the beer garden which they could put to so much more use. No decent beer on tap either.

Friendly helpfull staff even brought fresh watter out for my dogs

Been going this pub for years and it’s gone down bank the newest owners are a joke they are so rude to customers they get stressed so easy and it shows the guy is always ringing the bell screaming his red faced head off in anger threatening to kick every one out and lock the doors he carnt run this pub his wife is so rude she be on her phone before serving customers And threading bar you if u had more than 2 pints which taste vile black floating bits in your drink and they carnt control the covid epidemic in this pub every one next to each other and all at the bar with no mask or sanitizers in place that work no social distancing rules just do as they please This pub needs closing down ASAP as drug dealers going on plus fights in the last two Saturday nights it’s terrible It’s worse than the old pig pen Most regulars which are OAP look terrified whilst sitting there speaking to most regulars they don’t feel safe or enjoy the pub and are also refusing to go back I wouldn’t rate this place 1 star it’s shocking this pub as now lost it and will lose the regular’s plus money KEEP AWAY

Worst pub. Every since new owners took over the guy who runs it is so rude to customers shouting ringing bell all the time and shouting he will close doors and kick everyone out and refusing to serve customers as he gets so stressed out don’t no how this pub will survive with these cowboys running it ruined a good pub think the brewery should kick them out before it’s to late and his wife is also bossy and threatens customers what a joke of a pub

Brilliant pub very warm atmosphere always cosy and friendly food lovely and hubby drinks bass and pedi and says best pint in the area bar staff bubbly and landlady a star work's hard but theres always a smile and time for a chat great shame its got to change xx

I came with my uncle to have some food and no food was served as the chef was not working so we had a drink and left . We won't be returning.

After being told outside that I was welcome in with my dog, I walked in to be told by a gentleman with a very nice dog called "ryan" that I shouldn't have brought him in. He proceeded to tell me I wasnt welcome inside and that I should leave. Just moved to the area and this was going to be my new local... not anymore!

Nice place, staff are great, big area around the back for the kids to play, lots of tables in the same area. Plenty of parking, serves food also.

called in for a quick lunch, went for the large gammon which was presented on a sizzler plate. gammon was flavourful and I enjoyed it. wife went for the lasagne with jacket potato and she had no complaints. all in all a good cheap meal.

My father has just moved in close by, we came for lunch and shall not return. Maybe the new landlord will take more care over the place. Distinctly unloved pub

Thanks perhaps due to a change of staff this is fast getting back to being a great pub. Its now becoming a nice friendly place to visit. Gone are the hostile stares that used to greet the unwary. Since the staff have been changed to a very welcoming team it's a lovely place to visit. The best bit? The food. You won't get better anywhere in the potteries, with regard to price, quality or cooking.

Used the Trent Tavern for my Dad's wake as it was his local. We were given privacy in a quiet area sectioned off specially for us. Buffett was huge - definitely no skimped portions and food lovely and fresh.

Nice meal the place just needs a bit of a do up, but it was clean which is the main thing

We had 2 sizzlers they were lovely

Took a while for the food to arrive at our tablet and wasn't that warm won't be visiting again in a rush

Great landlord and wife. Great affordable food and regular entertainment aimed at all ages but especially the over 30s.

If you want to have a wake here don't bother as the landlord and landlady carnt be arsed come and speak to you about it, my dad drank in there when he could that's why I chose to go this pub but what a piss take and insult to my dad

Have used this pub for many years born in bucknall been a part of my life enjoy every visit.

Came here for a quick drink and ended up having a huge steak dinner. Absolutely stuffed and so worth the money paid. Really enjoyed it.

Nice local pub. It's more of a drinking pub but they do serve food. Usually quite busy but that's what you want to see in a pub.

Called in today for 1st time in years... will definitely be the last for food... would not recommend the burger was undercooked and the bap it self was massive

Toilets need a good scrub. Only real edible part of my meal was the chips and salad. Asked for chicken burger and was given a cheese burger instead, and it was so bad that I couldn't eat any of it. Other customers were welcoming but using swear words etc.
